Backstory:
In the depths of South America lays a treasure long thought forgotten, created by the Mayans who used it to achieve knowledge well beyond their own. This artifact was able to reach alternate dimensions and allow its wielder to travel at their leisure. However different circumstances over the numerous years have left the artifact still in tact only in two dimensions. One in the universe of Marvel superheroes, and the other in the universe of DC superheroes. Coincidentally in these two universes a pair of men have the artifact in their world domination planned sights. Lex Luthor, a dangerous and ruthless businessman, and Dr. Doom, a ruthless dictator. They both gathered like minded villains and went into their mission to raid the old temple that the artifact laid. However the Young Avengers and Young Justice caught wind of their respective arch-nemesis' plan and went in to stop them. Cornered, Lex and Doom created a bigger situation than anyone could have anticipated.
When the portals vanished, Lex and Doom had seemingly vanished completely. Worse, heroes from both teams found themselves in some strange familiar, but unfamiliar places. Members of the Young Avengers in a seemingly endless yet ominous city known as ‘Gotham City’. Some of the members of Young Justice in New York City. A week has passed, with both realities beginning to get reports of strange heroes and villain sightings. Now the heroes, both of their own reality and those lost. Have to come together to solve this harrowing problem.
RP summary:
The role play is set in both the DC and Marvel universes, with an ancient artifact enabling travel between the two worlds. Right now it is unknown where said artifacts are, same with Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom, the last two people who were seen holding them. At the start of the RP it has been a week since half of both the Young Justice and Young Avengers have been split with the members going into the other reality.
The RP will be based around canonical characters solely. Though there is creative freedom allowed in their design, and editing the back story to fit the set up for both teams. With the Young Justice squad having been made after the CADMUS events with Batman as their leader, and Young Avengers forming after the events with Iron Lad and Kang.
Rules:
First things first, no drama. Seriously don’t bring that weak shit in here.
You can have two characters max, I’ll allow people to a point to either just have two Marvel or two DC characters. However please ask first if thats possible because I’d like to keep the numbers even between the squads.
Canonical characters only. You can decide what costume their in and what they look like, and change around their backstory. However be mindful of what makes the character who they are in the first place.
When it comes to those who use lantern rings or use the speedforce. The rule when in the opposite reality is they’re able to coast by on energy for an amount of time. Since lanterns can’t recharge and Flashes can’t use the speedforce in the Marvel universe.
When it comes to copy and pasting history or powers, I'm not entirely against it. I would prefer if you at least just put it into your own words. I will ask for the source of where you get the information you copy and pasted though.
While I’ll let other people make who are the team leaders, who ever makes a team leader will be getting PMs from me about planned events.
While you can reserve a character, that doesn’t mean someone can also make a profile sheet for it. If more than one sheet is put in for a paricular character, both GMs will decide who gets it.
Here is the list of Marvel and DC heroes you can pick from, keep in mind if one version of a hero is picked, in most cases that will mean you can’t pick the opposite version (Example: Someone picks Zatanna, meaning Zachary Zatara is not pickable).
