Name:
Shlomo Levin

Alias:
Redliner

Age:
31

Sex:
Male

Appearance:
A thick, stout, powerfully built, already balding and slightly fat man in his thirties. His girthy frame is draped by mighty, massive muscles that cling to his body like cliffs to the mountain's side and his ape-like arms are unproportionately long for his build and extremely hairy. On top of a short neck not unlike a stump of a millenial tree sits a round, crimson face with small, narrowly set eyes, a wide nose and prominent jaw that gives him a vicious underbite. His teeth are small and sharp, several of them are made of gold but the remaining ones are very well-maintained. The look that is most of the time transfixed upon this intimidating face is that of horrible determination.

Powers/Skills:
Super-Durability - Redliner's flesh is incredibly dense, his perceptions of pain dulled, his system, enduring and his bones, nigh-unbreakable. He posesses a wonderful physical resilience, able to shrug off quite horrible fatigue. extreme temperatures, very powerful blows and most forms of gunfire with little ill efects - and even after receiving serious and life-threatening injuries as aresult of, say, a powerful explosion, he might be incapacipated and maimed but his body will tenaciously cling to life for a very, very long time.

Super-Strength - once again thenks to great density of his muscle tissue, Redliner posesses a degree of physical strength quite a bit in excess of what the greatest non-superhuman strongman or athlete can acheive.

Close Combat Expertise - thanks to his background and exhausting and endless training, Redliner is extremely capable in melee and brawling, using his every chance and possibility to gain the upper hand. Unless absolutely explicitly necessary, he gives no quarter, favours no plea and takes no chances - all sorts of tricks, dirty techniques and brutalities are fair game as long as in the end it leaves the good guy standing upright and his opponent lying on the ground with no desire or ability to continue. Just as well, he is a more than acceptable marksman who knows how to use most kinds of firearms. His favored weapons are axes and rebar, but in the League he adopts less lethal and more refined close combat weapons such as powerful stun batons and electrified knuckle dusters.

Power Nulification Device - On Redliner's left forearm, melded and grown into his arm and spreading it's tendrils through his skin and body, proudly sits a massive, bulky and streamlined alien device wrought from gleaming gold-like metal and posessing of two separated screens and hundreds upon hundreds of tiny star-shaped buttons. The horrible and devastating power of this device was, originally, to even out the chances between the many-specied gladiators in the ancient coliseums of an eldritch precursor race - one screen is used to input the information about specific powers and capabilities and the other, to designate the species who must posess an equal, or at very least sporting chance against their foe. For good or ill, as of now the second screen's setting is somehow set to "human" and can not be changed by any means that Redliner ever posessed. First screen's information, however, is free to be redacted in accordance with wearer's desires.

The device allows the input of three variables, all of which describe specific powers or abilities - computer's database seemingly posesses information on all sorts of things, from kryptonians to arcane constructs to technology of Reach to mutations of specific species to hell-wrought magic - so at any given time Redliner is able to set his device to deny the abilities of say, aforementioned Kryptonians, Green Lanterns and thaumaturgical magics. When a person/object/thing posessing specified powers enter a fairly small control zone of the device - about 10-15 meters - it begins slowly sapping Redliner's life force and stamina in order to project a strange forcefield/s specifically tailored in order to bring the target down to the level of abilities of human species. Superpowered beings find their abilities missing, magics flicker and die out, ultratech devices beyond human understanding quietly power down - the field is leveled and the chances are evened, Redliner's opponents finding themselves only as powerful as they would be as mere humans. Real shame they are now up against a superstrong and very determined being armed with a big metal stick.
Of course, such awesome power does not come without some drawbacks and limitations:

First of all, the device requires conscious active input - Redliner MUST know the nature and source of his enemies' power in order to negate it and can only affect three separate sorts of abilities at the same time. Of course, he makes use of rote memorization and mental training in order to learn and quickly access the most widespread and dangerous sorts of abilities on the device's keyboard, but that is not a great lot of consolation when there are myriads and myriads of other powers in the world.

Second of all, the device requires some sacrifice. When activated, glowing golden tendrils begin to syphon Redliner's vital forces to power the field - the more targets it affects at any given time, the quicker it drains the user's stamina. A single Green Lantern will find his ring impotent, just as will ten Lanterns that somehow wander into Redliner's control zone at the same time - but in first case the hero will have to subdue his foe for an hour or two before feeling adverse effects, and in second his field will only hold out for about ten minutes before Redliner collapses out of exhaustion.

Third, the device does not has any friend-or-foe identification - allies posessing the same sort of power as enemies will find themselves nulified as well.

Backstory:
Pighead, before that Axe, before that still Matchstick Man and in the very beginning just Shlomo was at first just a delinquent, then an incredibly inept F-list villain who briefly improved his chances at life by coming into posession of a mighty alien artifact, after that an inmate at the Arkham and as of now, is a new, rehabilitated person painfully aware of his flaws and problems and stiving with incredible diligence to fix them. Fully realizing the extent of his problems and the seriousness of his disorders, the new man freshly reforged in the fires of science and intense psychological therapy now clings to his glorious new life to the best of his abilities - and what's bound to help a person to better practice his virtues than becoming a superhero?

Motivation for joining the League?:
To finally and completely defeat all traces of his old criminally insane self and prove his worth to himself.

What do you bring to the League?:
A devastating ability to depower any of League's opponents, an amazingly rigid moral codex and almost suicidal readiness to uphold justice and virtue in all things and the understanding of criminal and insane minds - he is one, after all, despite all of the doctors' effort.

@BlackSam3091 I forgot to put Etrigan's wings under the abilities section on my CS, is it cool to just add it now or would you rather I left it out?

Morning guys, how's tricks?

@The Kid Lantern Yeah, that why I specified wild lions as opposed to ones living in a zoo. The zoo's only really a helpful environment for him if the animals can get out of their cages, which, you know, they aren't supposed to.

Yeah and most cities don't have zoo's in them LOL. He'll likely do chimeras using nearby bugs and just whatever else is around. The way his power was displayed in Batman: Brave & the Bold he only had to be within eyeshot to take an animals dna, one hand would be yellow energy with the other a shade of green, you'd see the flash of light and then he'd have a chimera flying towards somebody. He fused a spider and a horse that looked really cool in the same episode.

Is BB accepted?

@BlackSam3091 for the purposes of keeping it simple I just had mark on earth instead of the entire team. Basically Izaya gave Mark his hero's journey which only he is tasked with. As for his powers, from what I've read the New Gods are pretty close to kryptonian levels of physical power. If you want i can lower his strength levels.

Well the point remains that I'm not exactly happy about the idea that anything my character does can just be hit with the "no-sell" stick. And just because we're ostensibly on the same side does not make things better.

@Keksalot I'm sure it's my fault for not explaining myself properly, but Redliner's ability to de-power a foe should only be instantaneous if the foe is slightly above human norm, like a venomed up Bane. If the foe is much higher, such as the level of a Green Lantern, Kryptonian, etc. then the effect is a much slower affair, with the opponent still having a chance to use their skills and powers to stop the drain. Something similar to how Parasite drains superman over time rather than touching him and sucking him dry in an instant, though in this case Redliner will weaken along with his target.

Ten's too high a number to bring down all at once, even if they are of the same power source. I thought you'd be working on your rule of three. Bring it back to three please.

Also the status effect lasts to long. The effects shouldn't last any longer than Redliner can maintain connection, and the connection depends entirely on his being able to focus on depowering his intended target.

You're bio is far too short. I'd like to know how he got two different villain names, what he did as a villain, and exactly how he found his artifact. Also, and this is more of an aside, Arkham might not be the greatest pick to have been rehabilitated in. They don't have a great track record with rehabilitaion.

Also, I'll add it here, but Redliner will not be able to use his artifact against another player character without the player in question's express consent. I hope that put's everyone elses mind at rest, though if not please let me know and we can discuss it.

@Mr_pink You can add it in.

@The Kid Lantern Yes, BB is now accepted.

>Redliner's ability to de-power a foe should only be instantaneous if the foe is slightly above human norm
OH.
I thought that extremely strong foes would too be depowered instantly - it would just tax Redliner so very much that he might as well die from shock in several seconds if trying to nullify a massively mighty being like Darkseid or Doomsday.

>I thought you'd be working on your rule of three. Bring it back to three please.
I thought that three is how many sorts of powers he can depower simultaneously - if confronted by ten enemies using the same power they'd be all nullified, but at a great cost to Redliner himself.

>Also the status effect lasts to long. The effects shouldn't last any longer than Redliner can maintain connection, and the connection depends entirely on his being able to focus on depowering his intended target.
Just dang.

@Lost Cause
>Well the point remains that I'm not exactly happy about the idea that anything my character does can just be hit with the "no-sell" stick. And just because we're ostensibly on the same side does not make things better.

Then how do you like Lex Luthor here, who can buy, sell and once again buy every other character on the list together with their clothes, human rights and even dignity, along with being able to effectively control how public views any of them through his effectively infinite resources and global influence?
That is NOT to speak about the megamurder-suit in which he can rend every other member of the league limb from limb should he want to.

I think i'll just redo my guy into another flying brick with a relatively-unusual power.
