Welcome to the Kanto Region

This is where a trainer's journey begins! If a trainer wishes to be the very best, then it's always better to start from the bottom and make one's way to the very tip top! Region by region. If trainers are worthy to go far with their career, then making a name for themselves in Kanto would be a good start.

Our journey begins in Pallet Town where trainers will meet with Professor Oak to pick their very first Pokemon. Trainers from all regions around the world have checked-in at the Pallet Town Inn, and they share the commonality that they're all rookies. But the real question is for how long?

Pallet Town Inn

The Pallet Town Inn is primarily where all characters will live except for those trainers actually from Pallet Town. At the Pallet Town Inn, the trainers and their Pokemon are treated to a comfortable stay - quiet and peaceful nights, indoor swimming pool, hot springs, massage parlor, and a complimentary breakfast and dinner. The trainers are hailed as VIPs but don't take advantage of this service. Even though the trainers are funded by the Indigo League, the Pallet Town Inn staff will put an unruly trainer and their Pokemon on the street.

Pallet Town

If trainers didn't realize it upon arrival, Pallet Town is quite the country bumpkin place. There is absolutely nothing here. There aren't any Poke Shops for items, Poke Centers--just nothing. Once trainers acquire their first Pokemon, then it's probably best they dive right into their journey for there won't be any medical centers or resourceful shops until they reach Pewter City.

There's no hurry to move from one town to the next. Trainers are encouraged to make friends and allies. It is always good to have someone who can watch your back.

How to catch a Pokemon

Pokemon Gijinka exist throughout the world as normal Pokemen and Pokewomen. The only difference is that they are without a trainer. Pokemon without trainers don't ever grow in power. They remain wild and untamed, lacking in the experience they need to mature as individuals. Socially, wild Pokemon are regarded as bums by most Pokemon who have trainers. It is also difficult for wild Pokemon to find jobs in the world because most employers don't want to deal with an insubordinate creature that could ruin their business.

While most delinquent Pokemon will remain wild and free, which is by no means a bad thing, most Pokemon find homes with trainers who confront them. Now, not all trainers are good apples. There are trainers who exist in this world who are a part of gangs and who use their Pokemon to terrorize others. Some trainers capture Wild Pokemon (through unorthodox means) just to sell them on the market as slaves.

Good trainers will befriend their Pokemon and together they will stop these foul deeds and set a positive example for Pokemon and their trainers everywhere. Try to be the good example and be a good teammate with your Pokemon.

Pokemon Battles

Wild Pokemon can be freely roaming a city, minding their own business when a trainer randomly confronts them. When a trainer wishes to capture a Pokemon, the trainer will battle the wild Pokemon with their tamed one. These battles can happen in the middle of the street or basically anywhere, and they are not uncommon in society.

The Trainer

It is the trainer's duty to know his or her Pokemon. It is his or her duty to also know which type of Pokemon is super effective against other types. This makes for a very effective trainer. Trainers command the Pokemon to attack by shouting a move from that Pokemon's move set.

Only 1 move can be issued per turn. Once you post your trainer giving one attack, you cannot post a second or third. You must wait for that Pokemon or that other trainer (in the case you are dueling another trainer) to respond. Likewise, the opposing trainer can only issue 1 move.

Now, if a Pokemon levels outside the trainer's experience level (ie. trainer doesn't have enough badges), then the Pokemon may not listen to him or her. The Pokemon may just do whatever it wants: whether it be fighting or just running away.

Pokemon Gijinka

As a Pokemon Gijinka player, it is your job to listen to your trainer. You have to perform whatever move they command. It will be a move in your Pokemon's move set. If you need to see what this move looks like, well, there's YouTube just a click a way. Otherwise, if it's something as simple as Thunderbolt. It's kind of a given what that move looks like. You can also refer to the Pokemon Database for a description of the move to get an idea.

Now your battles do not have to be stationary. You can chase another Pokemon throughout the city, leaping into the air, perform aerodynamic stunts, whatever. But you do abide by a stat system, so don't worry too much about that. When Trainer 1 posts, and Wild Pokemon or Enemy Trainer post, then the GM will post after with the results of the attacks. You will see the damage results, you will see if your Pokemon managed to evade, you will see the HP go down.

Your trainer may not be good. At this point in the game, most trainers will be inexperienced, so don't get frustrated. If you faint, then the Pokemon will have to be revived at a Pokemon Center. There are no Pokemon Centers in Pallet Town so...be warned!

Pokeballs

Pokeballs are a trainer's main tool for catching Pokemon. There are several different types of Pokeballs but for the Generation I Kanto region, we will be using five types: Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball, and Safari Ball (may or may not ever see this one).

While the Pokemon games used a catch rate, we're going to easily put a level range to the balls.

Poke Ball Lv 1-15

Great Ball Lv 16-25

Ultra Ball Lv 26+

Master Ball - Catches anything. [Very Rare to Acquire]

Safari Ball - Special Case: It is the only ball that can be used to catch Pokemon in the Safari Zone.

Once a Pokemon's health is reduced to 10 HP or lower, the trainer can use a Poke Ball to capture that Pokemon. If a Pokemon's HP is reduced to fainting, then the Pokemon cannot be caught. It is up to the trainer to learn the Art of the Catch for if a trainer attempts to use a Pokeball on a Pokemon at full health, then that Pokemon can break free and cost a trainer a ball.

Trainers will get their first set of Poke Balls from Professor Oak.

Pokemon Lab

Message from Professor Oak

Welcome Trainers, one and all, to the Kanto Region. My name is Professor Oak, and here at the Pokemon Lab is where legends begin! You have before you a set of Pokeballs, and they're randomized so choose wisely! Inside is a Pokemon waiting for a trainer, mentor, and most importantly a friend. Once you all have chosen your Pokemon, then go ahead and select your belts. Each belt contains six slots with five empty Pokeballs for you to start your journey with!

Before you head out of town, get to know your Pokemon first! The better you two are a team, then the farther you will go!

Oh! Before I forget, here!

Pokebag
 • Pokeballs x5
 • Potions x10
 • Pokedex
 • Camping Tent & Gear (food not included/ fire not included)

Jaden-Pallet Town
Jaden waited eagerly for the Professor to finish his speech before hurried coming up to select one of the many pokemon. The Professor's warning about choosing wisely had fallen on deaf ears for him, as he snatched up the very first one he could get his hands, looking down at with a slight frown before walking over to one of the Professor's assistants.

Excuse me Sir, I hate to bother you, but I was wondering if you could help me with something.

"Oh, it's no trouble at all, young man. What may be the issue?"

I was wondering if you could take back this pokeball, as well as all the others ones the Professor gave to me. The young man stated with a sweet smile on his face, seeming completely oblivious to the dumbfounded expression that took over the man's face as he heard the boy's request. I don't plan on using them.

"Wait a second, do you mean to get rid of your first pokemon, just like that? Then why did you even-"

No, I'd never abandon them like that. . . but I also don't like the thought of keeping them locked away in their pokeballs either. It doesn't seem quite right to me, as I know I wouldn't like that if I were in their shoes."

The assistant looked a bit perplexed, but gave a nod, easily following the boy's train of thought.

"While I get what you're saying, you do know that'll make it much harder to build your team and . . . I really can't convince you otherwise can I?" The assistant gave up half-way in his argument as he saw Jaden seem to dig his heels, not seeming to move an inch. The man sighed, rubbing the bridge of his knows before gently taking the pokeball from Jaden. "Fine, if you insist, I'll take this pokeball and release the Pokemon inside. However, do know that if they decide to run off or stay here in the lab, then that'll be the end of your journey. Once again I must ask, are you absolutely sure about this?"

Jaden merely nodded his head, a determined look on his face as he stood there. The man let out a sigh before placing the Pokeball in a machine, then typing in some commands. The ball quickly began to shake back and forth before popping upon, depositing it's contents directly on the lab floor in a dazzling display of light. As the light began to take shape, the assistant tossed the pokeball back at Jaden, who (not expecting it) fumbed a bit to catch it, nearly tripping his own feet. "If you want my advice, keep the Pokeballs. Just in case you have a change of heart. Good luck kid, you're sure going to need it."

Jaden nodded to the man, stowing away the Pokeball in his bag along with the other supplies the professor had, then turned to who would hopefully be his new friend and partner. Kneeling down so that they could look each other eye to eye, he offered his hand to them, a warm smile on his face as he introduced himself to the pokemon before him, a petite little Vulpix in a beautiful red dress that Jaden recognized as a Kimono, which was a traditional garb of the Kanto region, and more to the point, was extremely well-made.

Hello there, my name is Jaden Locke and, if you'll have me, I'd like to be your trainer. I'm kinda of new to all this, and may not be the most capable, but I'm sure that we'll have a ton of fun journeying together."

Vulpix - New Beginnings

It had been a long, quiet day inside her capsule, not that she minded it. For it was a chance to relax, stretch out a little, for it was shockingly roomy in the tiny living space. Here she could have a chair on a beach on some illusory resort, with all the rum she could want.

Even though she was underage, but that needn't be mentioned here.

Life really was good inside her Ball, until the oceans shifted. A sign of foreboding change, in the least. A sign of motion. There were muffled voices high above, inside the ball she couldn't understand them, but suddenly her whole imaginary little paradise was sent tumbling through the air!

In a burst of light, and a cold rush of wind, the little Fox was tossed back into reality once more!

Without the grace her kind was known for of course. So caught by surprise was she, that her landing was a touch more haphazard than what one would expect. She bounced, she tumbled, until the friction of such tumbling brought her to a stop in an unceremonious heap. A pile of frazzled hair, a tossed and turned Kimono, and angry onyx eyes that looked sharply up to see none other than a hand reaching out to her.

And words! Ones she could hear this time with distinct clarity! It was a boy, she grew to collect, her nose catching his scent as her eyes carefully took in close detail. A boy who seemed close to her own age.

He spoke of an offer of friendship, of journeys across the world, and she seemed to only stare at him at first. She looked at him carefully, and then her gaze switched to the red and white device in his hand. She knew that capsule! That was HER capsule! Of which she was all but helpless to watch on as he stowed it away in his bag.

It could only mean one quickly startling fact.

This boy is my new master?!?! She thought in outright shock, her eyes darting between him and the lab assistant as if the assistant had made some sort of mistake. But nonetheless, she would accept the kindness of his hand reaching down to help her up.

She stood then, easily a head shorter the boy who made himself known as Jaden. Yet with his introduction came not word from her to start, as she first dusted off her Kimono. While she went about straightening her disheveled hair, she went back to studying him distrustfully.

He seemed to feel younger than his actual years let on, but behind it all there was this reckless hope he seemed to hold tightly onto. He was practicallt beaming, and since he held her home in his grasp, she resigned herself to this fate, for now.

"I don't have a name yet, Master." She began at first, her voice seeming as sweet as honey to start. "Would you mind bestowing me with one?" Her head tilted then, almost comically in inquiry as the pair of pointed ears atop her crown flattened. Waiting patiently to see just what he would choose.

She bowed deeply then seingly out of respect, though in truth it were far from it. She was a trickster, she always had been. For now she would play along until he lowered what seemingly little guard he had in the first place.

Then the games would begin

Rasa was enjoying the wind on her skin, there in front of here on the horizon she could see the Kanto Region. Her adventure would start in less than a day. The travel on the ship took a while, but she didnt mind it all too much. She got to know quite a few of the passengers. Some sharing the stories about their own pokemon some more fascinating some more sounding like fisherman tales. Not that all fisherman over do their tales, but a lot she knew did.

"I see you are excited, young one."
A old gentlemen smiled at her his Arbok wrapping her hands around the man shoulder lazily watching out into the ocean. With her luck she just had to run into a person who knew her sister. Mr. Goldkorn was visiting his grandchild who worked in a pokemart there. He didnt waste time to tell Rasa how impressed he was with her sister skill, and how great of a help she was in catching the runaway ponyta of his grandchild. But even so, Rasa kinda liked him, he knew a lot about pokemon and spoke how discovering them is the greatest experience ever.

"Of course I am. I wonder which pokemon will Professor Oak have for me to choose."

"Hmm. I heard he started giving a greater variety out then a few years ago. So it will truly be a surprise. Have you debated which name you will give your team? "

"I limited it on two chooses."

"You sister choose of Rose Knight suited her well. It brings luck as well to choose it even before your first pokemon."

"I know,I know. I will make up my mind and it will be amazing, just you wait and see Mr. Goldkorn."

The man chuckled at Rasa response. "Please before you go for your seventh badge please do visit me. I would like to see how much you have grown as a trainer." His Arbok hissed at that idea approvingly adding. "Pleasssse do~ I will love to give a bite or two to your little teammatesss~"

"Okay, but be warned I will win."

The ship soon after that docked and Rasa with her bag packed felt a tiny bit lost. Mostly because she didnt know where to go next. She kinda forgot to ask Goldkorn about actual directions to pallet town. So she stopped a lady asking her that.

"Ah, a new trainer. Go to Tommy he will fly you there. "

Tommy was a young flying type trainer. His Pidgeot was massive and looked down at Rasa once she approached them. It was as well her first time seeing a pidgeot in its full glory.

"Oi, whats up girlly? Want to ask me out on a date, but a meowth stole your tongue?" Tommy winked and Rasa shook her head. Completely ignoring the comment.

"I was pointed here by a lady. Can you take me to pallet town? I have to ..."

"...start my pokemon adventure and be the very best like no one else. I hear at least six variation on that a week. Either way, thats my job, you know earning a pokedollar on the side. " Tommy interrupted her jumping to the side and starting to add security straps on his pokemon. Rasa paid the price for a one way fly and watched him work. She could tell he was experienced in his movement.

"First time flying?" Tommy asked, Rasa nodded. "Dont worry. Piglet here is a amazing flyer. He will make it smooth. So what is your and yours team name? So I can boast how I fly the future champion?"

"I am Rasa Elenua." She watched Tommy go around his pokemon adding the last strap and she pulled a coin and throw it on the fast. It landed on the head. Hiding it in her pocket she added then. "Stormbringer."

Flying was amazing, she could see the forest under her and sometimes even pokemon roaming around. It was one of the most impressive experiences she had. Tommy wished her luck and fly back to see if any other trainer needed his services, and Rasa was determined the moment she could she would teach one of her pokemon fly her around. Thougth that may take it time. She went into the Pallet town inn as it was already evening.

She couldnt sleep, nope there was no way she would sleep. She spent most of the night thinking about what her partner will be like and who the other trainers would be who start tomorrow like her. Will they become friends? Rovarls? Would they take the pokemon she wanted? Will they battle. The morning came and after she had a healthy big breakfast she hurried to professors Oak lab. One couldnt really miss it.

The Professor was friendly and took them in front of a table with pokeballs. The other trainers looked serious and determined. Well nearly all of them. One boy simply grabbed the pokeball closest to him and went directly to the assistant. Rasa took a bit more time and picked her own partner. Thougth she planned not to introduce herself to the pokemon yet. She didnt want to do it in a lab. She wanted the place they first meet face to face be a bit more nicer.

That part done, she couldnt help then overhear what was happening. She commented loudly to herself. "No pokeballs? I really wonder how will he take his fainted pokemon back to the pokecenter if he dont plan to take them inside the pokeballs. Doesnt look strong enough t carry more than one and even that... " She shrugged. She did hear from her sister there were trainers out there who wouldnt allow their pokemon to faint, and then if they did faint they would release them into the wild. She found that weird. She walked beside the boy and tapped him on the shoulder.

"I am Rasa, and we are now rivals, right. Next time we see each other I would love to battle your vulpix. "

Alexis was inside the cemetery as always at this time of the day. She looked at the Ghost Pokemon that where there with love. She loved those Ghost Pokemons. She lived in the cemetery as long as she remembered , yes , some villagers wanted to adopt her and give her a home and a bed but she refused every time. An old man gave her a tent and that was her house since she was a child. The other children saw her as strange but she didn't care , she only cared about Pokemons.

As she left the cemetery she heard some children talking about Professor's Oak Pokemon distribution and then she remembered. " Today ? It's today ! YES ! " she yelled.
She quickly gone back to her tent and got some clean cloths and ran towards the Professor's Oak lab.

She entered there and saw more soon-to-be trainers there. All looking like her , happy to make their first move in the Pokemon training business. She went to the attendant and asked for a Pokeball with a Pokemon inside it. He directed her to the place where the Pokemon awaited their new masters and she looked closely at all the Pokeballs available. She closed her eyes and muttered a prayer. With her eyes still closed , she moved her hand over the Pokeballs and finally chose one.

She was excited. She wanted to see what Pokemon she got. She wanted a Ghost-type Pokemon but she wasn't sure if the Pokeball contained one but she was ready to raise another Pokemon if needed until she caught a Ghost-type Pokemon.
As she was muttering yet another prayer , she decided it's time. She let the Pokemon out of it's Pokeball and was amazed to see a Honedge coming out it.

" Yes ! You are a Ghost Pokemon. Thanks the Gods above. *extending a hand* I'm Alexis Ghost and we will be friends. I've lived my whole life with Ghost Pokemon so I hope we will get along too. Together we will be the very best team. " she barely contained her emotions for the first time in many years.

Honedge was calm as he sat cross-legged in the centre of a small dojo within the ball-shaped device that the human had used to capture him. He didn't understand it, but he was comfortable here and couldn't see any feasible way out so he wasn't going to freak out over something that he can't change. A small tremor shook the building, a sign that the device was being moved, and then a strange light enveloped him and he was pulled from the dojo.

The light deposited him in another room, landing in a crouch. The sound of a girl's voice got his attention and he looked in her direction. She was tall, with slightly messy black hair and a blood red dress. Her hand was outstretched towards him and her face looks as if she was struggling to contain a vast amount of emotion.

He stood up to his full height and his sharp blue eyes evaluated her for a second, his mind going over her excited words before he made a connection and went to take her hand, but paused. His eyes flicked to his gloved hand for a second before the girl, Alexis he thought she called herself, took it in a handshake. Honedge could feel the energy, the life, even though his gloves and pulled his hand away. This girl was going to be his trainer, so he couldn't let himself consume her life-force over a simple handshake. He nodded and hummed his agreement to her words before he realised something and blinked.

Jaden -Pallet Town

A shaky first impression and a sudden declaration

Jaden's smile became slightly strained as the small pokemon called him 'Master', a title he was very familiar with and irritated him to no end whenever ii was directed at him. He was quick to recover, however, as she asked him to name her. The question drew honest confusion to Jaden's face as he considered it a bit before responding.

"Please excuse my rudeness, but how can you not have a name? What have people been calling you all your life? I don't really think it's right for me to impose my own horrid naming sense upon you so, if you truly are without a name to call your own, then take sometime to think of what you'd like to be called. Until then, however, would you be adverse to me calling you . . ." The young trainer froze for a bit, his mind running blank before he reached back into his bag to pull out his brand new Pokedex, easily finding the small girl's entry in the data log due to the fact that she was the only pokemon he had met. Reading through the information presented quickly in search of some form of inspiration, he looked back at the girl every now and then, trying to come up with something that he thought would fit her until she found one of her own." . . . V(i)? Would that be fine until you can think of something you like more?"

Jaden's face was somewhat flushed as he spoke, embarrassed by the overwhelming simplicity and lack of real imagination and thought put into it, even if it was only to be a place holder. Before he could possibly get a response from the small pokemon, which he now knew to be a Vulpix, he felt a faint tapping on his shoulder. After muttering a quick 'Excuse me a moment' to his partner, he turned to see who exactly wanted something from him, curious since he doubted anyone would recognize him or his family name this far from Kalos. Somewhat surprisingly, it turned out to be a short blonde girl who looked a few years his junior, and was apparently now his rival if her declaration was anything to go by. Jaden seemed a bit confused at first, as he didn't even know this girl, much less did he think he did anything to offend her, but then he realized that she meant rival in the more friendly connotation. He remembered reading in a book on Trainer lingo that trainers usually declared rivals during their journeys in order to spur on the competitive spirit between them and foster a stronger growth for both individuals. As this realization dawned on him, the quizzical expression on his face would be replaced by a wide, excited grin before he placed his hand over his heart and gave a small bow towards his new rival.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Rasa." He spoke with what would seem like an unusually dignified air when compared to how he spoke with his new pokemon partner, and as he rose, there seemed to be a glint of steel in his gaze. While Jaden wasn't really the competitive type, he felt it would be rude to meet the girl's declaration with his usually lackluster attitude towards competition. Besides, he'd have to get used to it, since it was one of the ways one could get their pokemon partners to grow in strength, and if he wanted to travel, he'd need to make sure his pokemon were as strong as possible. "My own name is Jaden Locke, and I hope that when we next meet I don't disappoint you."

He reached out with his hand in greeting and, after that, would step to the side to showcase the young Vulpix by his side, about to say something when he noticed how disheveled her appearance was from her recent tumble, most noticeable her Kimono. He had been to excited to pay attention before, but now that he took a good look at her, he couldn't help himself and bent down to promptly fix it, muttering a rapid series of 'excuse me's and 'sorry's as he went about doing it. Once he had finished, if everything went well, the Kimono would once again be properly set, and then Jaden would turn back to Rana to continue the introduction.

"Sorry about that, now, if you will allow me to introduce partner for my Pokemon Journey. I'd tell you her name but apparently she doesn't have one, a fact which I can't help but find rather odd given that she doesn't look that much older than you. How could one go so long without receiving any kind of title to identify themselves is most perplexing . . . oh, that reminds me." Turning towards his tiny pokemon with a smile still fixed on his face, he gestured towards his rival. Have you come up with any name ideas yet? Cause while V(i) isn't a bad name to use as a placeholder . . . I would rather not use it for personal reasons. Of course, it's completely up to you, it's your name.

Vulpix -- Vix, it is going to he Vix.

There was a slight smirk on her mischievous little lips the moment his smile faded so abruptly when she called him Master. There was a button worth pressing she thought, that was going to be fun. Definitely.

Yet he expressed concern over something which completely baffled her again! He was completely surprised by the fact she hadn't already a name, didn't he know that only Pokémon with trainers had a name? Recently formerly wild ones like herself would have no such thing.

Surely, he couldn't be so daft. The little fox contemplated at first. Watching on as he conversed with a girl who had declared herself to be his rival.

Amazingly, he didn't seem to take the matter seriously at all! This news he took lightheartedly once again, with a smile and a bow. With little regard to the challenge the girl had made. She wanted a battle, wouldn't he answer to that more decisively?

Oh my God, he is that daft. This revelation came to her with remarkable swiftness when he spoke of battling when they next met again. Why not now? Why not just go on and get it over with?! Before she had a chance to prepare!

Of course not. Of course he wouldn't do that. Instead he swung his arm to point to none other than the Fox herself! Blinking in surprise as she had been lost in the bereavement of learning her trainer was a bit of a fool, she stared while completely dumbfounded as he reached over to straighten her Kimono. Then he would introduce her, once again commenting about how she didn't have a name.

Her cheeks puffed slightly out at the indignation if it all, but as he continued to speak with his newfound Rival, she would finally speak out at last.

"Vix," she stated sharply. Interrupting the boy mid-sentence. "My name will be Vix. Short for Vixen, which is the name for a female fox. Does that work, Master?"

She put an emphasis on the last word to tease him, but even with such torment to him; she couldn't help but feel happy she had been chosen by someone so kind. Kind enough even to help straighten her kimono no less.

"Time also waits for noone, Master." She then began, with a slight but sincere smile this time. Instead of the usual mischief, it was a radiant thing to behold. "Shall we depart, and give your unworthy Rival a chance to meet her..." Vix's nose twitched lightly, catching the scent of the Pokémon within.

"...Eevee I believe. She's going to need a lot of work. Goodbye!" Without another word and without waiting for Jaden, Vix made for the door, and was off into the bright world that lay waiting outside

At first Rasa though she did it wrong. The three of them got pokemon at the same time, starting their journey at the same time, they are supposed to be rivals and try to trump the other, ever so often to battle. But before she could continue to worry the othet trainer dementor changed. He gave a bow as he introduced himself.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Rasa. My own name is Jaden Locke, and I hope that when we next meet I don't disappoint you." He sounded serious and accepting her own challenge. Rasa took the hand and gave a firm squeeze. He will give her a good challenge, he was sure of it. Jaden moved away to introduce his pokemon and Rasa took her pokedex out to get a entry on her. On the screen the words appeared and Rasa read them as Jaden fixed Vulpixs clothing up.

Inside Vulpix's body burns a flame that never goes out. During the daytime, when the temperatures rise, this Pokémon releases flames from its mouth to prevent its body from growing too hot.

Just as she was done reading the pokedex Jaden was done with fixing her clothing and officially introducing his partner pokemon.
"Sorry about that, now, if you will allow me to introduce partner for my Pokemon Journey. I'd tell you her name but apparently she doesn't have one, a fact which I can't help but find rather odd given that she doesn't look that much older than you. How could one go so long without receiving any kind of title to identify themselves is most perplexing . . . oh, that reminds me."

Rasa tilted her head at Jaden confusion. "Of course she wouldnt have a name. Trainer name their pokemon to show their bond with that pokemon. Thats is why the pokemon dont change their name after trading, to honor their first trainer. That what my sister wrote..." Rasa waved her hand to change the topic. She will not mention her sister if she could help it. SHe will do this her way. "I have a bunch of names ready that I will give my future pokemon. " Before she could offer Jaden a few names, Vulpix spoke quite determined and headstrong.

"Vix. My name will be Vix. Short for Vixen, which is the name for a female fox. Does that work, Master?"

She told her name to her trainer, making Rasa find them kind of a good fit. But then Vix turned her attention a bit more to her.
"...Shall we depart, and give your unworthy Rival a chance to meet her...Eevee I believe. She's going to need a lot of work. Goodbye!"

Unworthy?! Oh she is so going to show that little fire pokemon, who is unworthy. She will not be the second, she will not be in someone's shadow. She will prove them all wrong. A fire in her own eyes turned at those words and as Vix started to retreat Rasa called loud after them. "We stormbringer will go to the very top! Be careful vix to not get your kimono wet!" She gave a wave and a big grin to Jaden before he went after his pokemon. Rasa shaking her head. She was pump, she looked over to the trainer in the red dress.

"Well, they are a amusing bunch. We are rivals as well, I find your dress lovely but that doesnt mean that I will go easy against you. Going to give my all! But I am not letting Jaden and Vix getting any bigger head start so see you and your Honedge soon too. " Rasa took a quick pokedex entry of her second rival pokemon and run out in the day. She hurried to that spot she saw. It was a park but no one was around in this part. Under the oak tree and beside some daisies Rasa took out her pokeball. It was fitting as she got her from professor oak to begin with. ANd it was much more prettier than a boring lab.

This was it, the moment when it is truly starting meeting her partner, giving her a name and starting to train on her journey to the very top. Meeting the most extraordinary pokemon on her way.

"Eevee its your turn!" Rasa called out and let her partner out on the bench. SHe gave her pokemon a moment to orient herself feeling a light breeze blow. Yup definitely the right choose. This was her way of doing things.

"Welcome darling to the Stormbringers! I am your trainer Rasa Elenua and you are my first partner pokemon." Rasa offered her hand for a shake to her, continuing. "You can call me Rasa, trainer or partner. Whatever you feel like. If its fine with you I would like to nickname you Corina. Any question?"

Rasa felt so excited now she was really a trainer. She kept repeating that to herself and her mind already started thinking about how she will train her partner of so many possibilities.

Zorua - Somewhere in the woods

A little black pokemon slowly opened his eyes concluding it was already mid day, but he always slept in. Enjoying the night a lot. He stretched and picked out his little lair full of useful clothing. He walked out in his pokemon form out and stretched, his tail swinging a bit before he started running his morning round. You dont stay good at running away if you are not fast. He made two rounds though the part of forest that were further away from the route retuning feeling quite hungry.

He walked back in his layer picking out a few clothing items and pulling them out. There was no room for his human like appearance in his lair. But it was better so. He changed to his human self and put a shirt over his head, removing the black scarf with heavy heart. Placing the treasured item in a back pack. He changed his favorite red socks for white and put on shorts that were long enough to hide his tail if he kept it still.

Last detail was his ears and the front puff of red hair. Both were hidden with a suncap. Giving a look over in a piece of broken mirror he was quite proud with himself, if he hides his sharp scratch ready fingernails by putting hands in his pocket and does not speak to show off his sharp teeth he will pass off as a normal boy. There was one more thing needed and that was to cover his own smell from other pokemon. He added a little bit of after wash just enough to hide his smell, but not enough to make himself gag. He hated that smell.

He wanted a wig, preferable a blond one. But that was much harder to come across of.
"Ooh~ he is at it again." A voice Zorua knew well enough spoke. He turned giving the ratata a annoyed look.

"Going to pretend to be a boy again? " Zorua shrugged adjusting his backpack and going on his way. The ratata tagged for the moment along.

"You know its super annoying to be human they cant do anything by himself. Listen to me, I will tell you every day. Zorua, Listen to me. You are making a idiot out yourself. Do it my way and you will be cool."

"Ice cream."And the Ratata groaned making Zorua smirk. "Ice cream is worth it. " With that Zorua run off and out on the route, no one questioned him and that was how he liked it. He did had a big plan, once he will pose as a trainer and with a pokemon friend from the woods win against a trainer pokemon and get money off them. Oh the surprise he will give the unsuspecting trainer when they realize they lost to a pokemon. It was giving him the pleasure chills~. And with the money he could buy few things that are being proven to be hard to steal for now.

But not today, Ratata wasnt strong enough to win against anyone, the other pokemon were not much better or were not interested or trusting him enough to do it. He needed better friends.

Jaden Locke -Pallet Town

Another shaky start

"That's a rather odd rule of thumb, if you ask me." Jaden said, his face sporting a frown as he found the idea of going his whole life without a name until some random person came and gave him one rather upsetting. Before he could comment on it further however, his partner spoke up, declaring that she would be known as Vix from hear on. Jaden nodded at first, though he did flinch once more as she called him Master again, though the emphasis placed on it was lost on him. However, what caused Jaden to drop his mouth open in shock was when she spoke to Rasa. He was left slightly flabbergasted by the sudden change in attitude, unsure what caused her to say that, before he turned to Rasa, giving a much lower bow to his new rival. "I'm truly sorry for my partner's behavior, I really don't know what came over her. I'll be heading on my way, so I hope to see you again."

With his apology stated he ran outside to talk to Vix, looking less than pleased(though not in a way that spoke of anger or anything like that, just shock and disapproval).

"Vix, I don't know what that was all about, but you really shouldn't be rude to people, especially someone you just met. No matter how much you don't like someone, you should always try your best to be polite and cordial." The young man would've went on, as the look on his face made it clear that this was something he wanted to make sure she understood, but before he could, the sound of tires turning on a dirt road and lots of people gasping caused him to turn his head. As he soon as his eyes locked on the approaching vehicle, his face would pull into one of disgust and frustration for a moment, though eh quickly hid it under a mask of calm politeness as he whispered under his breath. "Arceus, why must you test me like this?"

Pulling up in front of the Pokemon center was a black limo flanked by two black SUV's, the windows shaded to prevent anyone from looking into the vehicles. The Limo would stop a bit further away from it's escorts, the driver side door opening as the rather meek looking Ratatta driver stepped out to open the passenger side door, before quickly stepping out of the way. From the depths of the luxury vehicle stepped a rather stern-looking man dressed in what could only be a deep-red suit that looked like it was worth more than a majority of the town he was in. Looking around with a somewhat dismissive glare, his gaze focused on Jaden, focusing first on his hair, then his attire, before finally falling on Vix. He said nothing for a little while, just observing his Nephew with a heavy silence in the air. This would continue for only a tiny bit longer before the man finally deemed it worth his time to speak.

"I still can't believe my brother let you dye your hair, much less dye it white of all things. You look like a clown, I hope you know."

"It's nice to see you too, Uncle, I do hope the drive wasn't too much of a trouble. I do thank you for driving my hiking supplies out here."

The man merely clicked his tongue as he looked towards the Pokemon Lab that Jaden had come out of.

"This entire venture of yours is much more vexing then any simple errand, though I do hope you don't expect me to do this everytime you need something. I'm a busy man, and I don't have the time to assist you in playing Trainer. Just be sure to contact me when you give up this fool's errand or actually start acting like your taking this endeavor with a modicum of seriousness."

"Uncle, I assure you that I'm-" Jaden began, only to be shut down by his Uncle, who merely had to glare at him in order to cow the young man into silence.

"You're dead serious, yes, I know what you've told your parents a million times to get them to give in, but let me ask you something. Is this one currently registered to a Pokeball?

"Well no, I had Vix released shortly after getting her because as I've said I-" Once again, Jaden spoke up only to be silence, this time by his Uncle slapping him full across the face. Jaden wouldn't even flinch, struggling not to show any emotion to his Uncle, knowing the man would be quick to berate him even more if he did.

"Watch how you talk to me, boy, cause as long as you're in Kanto, you have to answer to me. . .*tch* your parents have clearly been to soft on you if you think you can talk back to me like that. I've heard your naive idealistic drivel many times before, so let's skip it and come back to reality, shall we? If it's not registered to a Pokeball, that means that it isn't under any obligation to stay by your side, making barely any different then the layabout strays that you will meet on your travels. As such, as soon as it sees what an immature child and fool you are, it is, more likely than not, going to abandon you when you least expect, or perhaps call upon some others so they can rob you of your valuables. Why you decide to put your faith so utterly in such a creature, more than anything else, is a sign of how terribly naive you are."

As Jaden's Uncle continued to berate him, Vix wouldn't see that while his face remained as unchanging as stone, the hands which he had placed behind his back were curled into fists so tight that his knuckles were turning white from the pressure. He would remain silent for a bit, causing his uncle to raise a brow at him in question, wondering what he was going to do. He was about to ask if the creature had taken his tongue already when he suddenly spoke up again.

"Well I'm sure you've reasons for feeling the way you do, Uncle, I will have to respectfully disagree. Now, if I have your leave, me and Vix here have to head off for Route one and talk battle strategies for the Pewter City Gym, which as I'm sure you can see will be rather difficult given our current Team composition. I've got a lot of work to do, and I'm sure you know that there are only so many hours in the day." Jaden's tone was a bit harsher then he'd meant it to be, his feelings managing to slip into his speech after the Man had started insulting his partner like that. While he hadn't meant to let it slip out, he also would refuse to go back on it, and thus readied himself for another dose of his Uncle's punishment.

However, the man would simply narrow his eyes, his gaze seeming to pierce the boy before he seemed to relax, not finding it to be worth his time to reprimand the boy. There would be plenty of time for that later on, as he was going to be the boy's guardian until he inevitably gave up on this fool's errand. As he went to return to his limo, he left the boy with a few parting words.

Very well, then I'll be out of your hair for now, though I'll be sure to test out your skills sometime later in the future and test the true extent of your resolve. Until that point comes, I bid you a good day Nephew."

With his piece said, Jaden's uncle quickly went back into his car and the escort was quick to ride out of the small town, leaving the few town folk to talk and gossip, eyes turning every now and then to look at the white haired boy and his Vulpix partner. Jaden, who had been so chipper and bright before, looked rather depressed and low-energy as his Uncle left, though this was quickly over come by anger as he suddenly started walking off towards Route 1, muttering a great number of curses and vulgarities towards his Uncle as he did so. As he walked he would assume that Vix was following, though would be quick to notice if she wasn't and wait for it. Whatever the case,as soon as his anger passed, he would once again enter a depressive state taking a seat on the outskirts of Pallet town with an frustrated sigh.

Of all my relatives, why is it that only one would watch me is the one I can't stand? Damn that bigoted bastard, only reason he came personally was so he could shame me in public, I'm sure of it.

He'd continue to mutter for a bit, rubbing his reddening cheek, only to let out a hiss of pain as it still stung a quite a bit.

Vix -- A Change of Opinion

Proudly proceeding briskly towards the tall grasses of Route One, she only paused briefly when the Jaden caught back up at long last after apologizing to his newfound rival. When he demanded that she act more well, unlike her usual self, her cheeks puffed out once again as if he had stepped beyond some personal boundary.

Yet as much as she wished she could refuse, he was her trainer. The key to becoming something greater than what her current state was.

So caught up in this distate of being told what to do, she did not even notice when a large vehicle came to a screeching halt in front of them. From it stepped a nervous Rat, and soon after, a tall menacing man. As Jaden tensed, so did she, even shrinking back a little fearfully.

Whomever this man was, he was truly a force to be reckoned with, such a notion was far beyond any doubt. He spoke to her Master cruelly, with unfair severity whose abrasiveness extended even to her. Each time he addressed her as an it, she flinched. In both a mixture of digust, and fear.

He was one of those people. Those who regarded her kind as little more than just pieces of insignificant property. Those who considered her kind as little more than tools.

Oh how swiftly she came to loathe this man with all her being. Yet her attention sharply changed with a resounding crack that echoed through the air, that drew her lips curling into a snarl. This bastard had struck her trainer?!

How dare he?!

Sharply she inhaled a deep breath, preparing a burst of flame to protect the boy, but the moment she was ready to unleash a maelstrom the bastard had absconded back to his vehicle, and promptly was driven off by that poor Rattata.

Once he had disappeared, a long silence lingered between thw two. Until Jaden took off witu a hastened march towards Route One. If anything, the Uncle's accusations had gotten the better of her. Sure she was a trickster, but there was no way that she'd set Jaden up to be mugged!

"Master, wait!" She cried out, struggling to keep up since Kimonos weren't the best when it came to mobility. Not realizing he couldn't hear her over the string of curses beneath his breath, the little Fox bustled after him as quickly as she could. Until he stopped and slumped into a seat right before the entrance to the first route leading out of Pallet Town.

She stopped before him, half bent over so that she chanced the moment to catch her breath, and once she did, she heard the tensed hiss of pain. A quick study revealed it was from where he had been struck, and the girl sighed slightly.

Gingerly she dropped to her knees so that knelt before his slumped form. If there was anything she could do to help the situation, this one was probably the easiest. Slowly, she reached out and moved the hand that was trying to ease the pain on cheek to hold it with one of her own.

"I-I know it hurts, let me help Jaden, please." Then, and only then, did the gentle, invigorating warmth of her fingertips brush his cheek before the entire hand came settled in a comforting caress.

"I'm sorry, Jaden. For giving you so much trouble to start, and trouble in the future. Raising one of my kind is really, well, challenging." Yet she smiled, worried all the same, but what a beautifully serene smile it was."Thank you for defending me...I promise that I might play games and tease you from time to time, but, I will do whatever I can to make you proud, okay?"

She relinquished the hand he had stolen, and held up her own with just the pinky extended; in a humorously childish sort of way, the little Vixen quipped a small guarantee. "I pinky promise I will. Just, well, always treat me as an equal in exchange. Do we have a deal?"

Alexis looked at him and didn't knew why he is not taking her hand and they she realizes that he can't , in all her excitement she forgot that Ghost Pokemon suck life force from living humans and Pokemons. " I am sorry about my hand. I totally forgot. I am just happy you are what I wanted you to be. Hmm...a name. I'll call you Shadow , if you like it. If not , please tell me and I'll think about another one or choose one yourself. It's ok anyhow , really.
So...do you want to stay in your Pokeball all the time or do you want to stay outside it ? I would want to be beside me all the time but if you don't want to. Please , say so.

"Shadow is... acceptable."
The newly named Honedge spoke with a small degree of hesitancy as he was uncertain as to what to say without hurting her feelings. He wasn't used to having a name, or being acknowledged to begin with. Before he was captured, he was largely ignored by the other pokemon, his only friends being a Vivillon and his breeding partner, and after he was trapped in that 'pokeball' the humans in the white coats just left him alone in the device.

His trainer's other question startled him a little bit. Was she really giving him that choice? Shadow had seen that Vulpix call her trainer 'Master', so was he supposed to call his that too? With another hesitant look at the red and white device, he gave a quiet answer, more of an unsure mumble than a clear sentence.

"Outside, Please... Mistress..."

As he spoke, he couldn't meet her eyes, in fear of punishment... Did she really mean that when she said she wanted to be friends? She seemed to behave very kindly, but his past experience with humans was rough so he didn't want to go through it again...

Jaden Locke -Pallet Town -> Route 1

Jaden looked up at Vix as she knelt down next to him, her gentle words and touch helping to soothe his emotions, taking his mind off of what happened as he now struggle with a whole new set of emotions. As it was though, he interlocked his pinkie with hers, looking her in the eyes with a soft smile of his own.

"I wouldn't have it any other way Vix, and . . . thanks. I'm glad I got such a nice partner to travel with." As he spoke, the somber tone would fade as he was quick to rebound from his earlier embarrassment, a fire coming to light with his cerulean eyes as he suddenly jumped to his feet, striking a poses as he pointed down Route One. Now then, there's little time to dwell on feeling sorry for myself. We've got a journey to embark on, Pokemon to meet, and trainers to fight, so let's get a move on shall we?"

Turni g his attention back towards Vix, he reached his hand down to help her up, muttering a short 'M'lady' in partial jest, his youthful energy and exuberance having returned to him on full bloom. However, before he barrelled down the Route at full steam ahead, he then had a thought enter his head. He looked between Vix, then his bag, then the tall grass beford him, his mind suddenly grasping on a problem.

"It comes to mind that a Kimono is not the best travelling outfit, but I also didn't see much in the way of a clothing store out here so . . . wanna try and walk it till we get to Viridian or hitch aride on my back? Don't worry, I'm stronger than I look, so I'm sure I could carry you with no trouble at all."

" Outside it is. If you ever want to go back in for whatever reason you want to , please say so and please , please. Don't call me Mistress. Call me either Alexis or Ghost. Works both ways for me. You will see that I am not like the other trainers , I plan to take care of you if I can. We will be friends by the end of our journey , I swear it. Oh' and please. Say whatever you got on your mind whenever you want. It doesn't matter what I think about it , you are a "living" creature , like us humans and you deserve to be heard and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
. Now...we have to go. Pewter City awaits us and adventure calls as some humans say.
" with that said Alexis and Shadow left and ran all the way towards Route 1. Alexis traveled only once to Pewter City but that was when she was barely 5 years so many have changed probably.
As she and Shadow moved towards slower now that they were on the right way , she noticed more trainers on the Route. She wasn't one to befriend humans because they all thought she was strange but now...she thought that there is logic in the saying " There is strength in numbers ".

Vix -- Traveling Begins!

Much to her relief, he smiled. Their fingers interlocked briefly, and then with a reinvigorated spirit he jumped jubilantly back up and thanked her for being nice, and atop that a declaration that they needed to get moving on to their adventure!

Then he offered to help her stand, giving her his hand. Carefully, she'd take a tightened hold of his fingertips and she would be lightly lifted back to a stand. Forced to dust off her kimono a second time, the little Fox, she quickly looked at the tall grasses, and then she looked at him.

When he spoke of concern about the condition kf her clothes, and the damage grass might do, she nodded quietly in agreement. He even then offered her a chance to be carried, which was most peculiar.

Even still, it was rather considerate of him. Yet the walk to Viridian was a long one, so he needed to keep his strength for any obstacles they might encounter. It was an easy choice, one which she would state quickly.

"Thanks for your kind consideration, Jaden. But I think I will walk." With such confirmation, she would be the first to take a step forward into their adventure, lifting up the hem of her kimono as she trudged forward into the tall grass, until she heard another voice coming up quickly behind them.

Her ears perked, twisting slightly to try and face where the voice was coming from, and with such changes her head turned as well. To see none other than a girl, with a haunting spook in tow. She spoke of heading to Pewter City of which Vix was sure may have been true, but even more importantly, the little Fox wanted a chance to show her Master that she was actually a capable fighter!

Then she realized that this girl would possibly want to work with the her and her Trainer. Strength in numbers or something of the sort.

But there was also the notion of being held back since some did tend to be slow. That, and the Ghost-Steel type was certainly eerie, if anything.

So she quickly bound out of the grass and stood beside Jaden once again with a slighted frown. With all these other trainers popping up, their adventure was getting delayed time and time again! It was all rather annoying in the least, and quite frustrating at the most! She had dealt with this enough!

"Let's battle them, Jaden." She stated flatly at first, as flat as her fox's ears were sitting to display her annoyance atop her head. "See if they're strong enough to walk with us."

Alexis was moving side to side with Shadow when she saw a Vulpix and her trainer on the road. It was her first meet with another trainer that was with her this morning so she approached slowly. She didn't knew if she would attack on sight or will first want to talk about it. Alexis heard about trainers that attacked people without warning just because they could.

She whispered to Shadow " Keep your guard up , my friend. We don't know if they are allies or foes. Prepare to defend yourself if needed , please. " with that said she raised her voice :

" Hello there ! I think we've seen each other this morning. Are you heading towards Pewter city by any chance ? " with a warning smile on her face that could be translated to " I am not looking for a fight but I am ready to tear you a new one if you are ".

Jaden Locke: Route 1

New friends have arrived

Jaden nodded slightly at Vix's decision, and he started to follow behind her, but befor ehe could take to many steps, the Vulpix was quick to suddenly return. Confused, he was about o ask why when Vix turned his attention to a girl and a guy standing off to the side. He (for once) was able to catch on quickly, figuring that they were another team. While he was glad to be able to intiate his first fight, their was just one, itty-bitty problem that he felt needed addressing. . .

"Vix, we aren't exactly close to a pokemon center around here, and I'd hate to have someone start their journey as a trainer by walking through the whole of the first route unable to do much. Jaden stated, but quickly rose up a hand to block off any complaint that Vix might have. "But, I'll ask them if they're interested in one, though I doubt they will be, and if not, then we can see if they're willing to have one closer to Viridian City, okay?

Vix would have just enough time to reply to her master before the other Trainer called out to the two of them, asking them where they're going. The girl's smile was wasted on Jaden, as all he saw was a nice girl coming to say hi and that was about as deep as he read into her features.

"Ah, yes, it's going to be our next stop after a quick detour at Viridian City to get some good traveling clothes for my partner here. While absolute beautiful, her Kimono does make traveling long distances rather difficult at best. Jaden would then reach out with his hand in greeting, quick to introduce both himself and his partner once he'd answered their question. My name, in case you may be wondering, is Jaden Locke, and my Vulpix partner here is Vix, and we were wondering if you too would be willing to engage in a quick battle, preferably when we're near a Pokemon center in Viridian but I leave the final decision up to the two of you. Whether you agree or not, you're free to join us on our way, if you wish."

After he said this, he'd give a quick look towards Vix, his eyes almost begging her in those quick moments to be polite to these new people.
