Kingdom Hearts tabletop!

• Using 5e rules from D&D. I know that system better than any other so *shrug*.
• Homebrew friendly... but not for keyblader classes. Your archetype will be used for the keyblade!
• AU, so no characters like Sora, Kairi, etc! Though we will be going through Disney, Pixar, and Final Fantasy worlds.
• Small group only! That means 3 of you aside from me, the Dungeon Master!

FAQ

Q: How long is this Table Top?
A: From level 1 to 20. So a long time.

Q: How frequently will the DM post?
A: ONCE A DAY ON WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, and SATURDAY! No Sunday through Monday though! I'm too busy. ; - ;

Q: How advanced of grammar and spelling are you requiring?
A: Not l33t speak, please use 3-4 sentences per post unless it's combat. You only need a single line of your action there.

Q: If we're all keybladers then won't we have bad party balance?
A: Your classes are gunna have to be different but everyone is getting a keyblader archetype!

Q: How do we join?

What's the Story?

(Two or three) young teens dream of other worlds from their small shore on Destiny Island. On a stormy night with dark clouds and howling winds, the teens are washed up on the shore of another world. They must find their paths from there. Through darkness, light, and the twilight in between, these teens will figure out what the Keyblades are and why they were chosen.

Along the way they'll meet people from worlds of imagination: tribal people of an ancient sunken city, an emperor who's become a llama, a brave princess who's fate is yet to be, a family of heroes out of place, a robot who's in love, an old man with a kid and dog, a spiky haired guy with a massive sword who travels with a ninja and vampire, and many more!

Roll stats for your character and tell me what class and race you're using for the character. Are you familiar with how 5e works?

Path of Critical Impacter
The journey ahead is unfit for the weak. The Path of Critical Impacter is for those who's ideals of strength are in physical measures. You're able to channel the power of your rage in the most optimal way. The keyblade responds to your will and unlocks the potential within your body to defeat every enemy you encounter.

Critical Rage
Beginning at 3rd level when you enter your rage, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20.

Force of Will
Beginning at 6th level, when anyone attempts to Grapple or Restrain they face disadvantage, additionally you gain advantage on checks to escape grappling, and can move the grappler 5 ft in any direction you choose while you are grappled by them (when applicable).

Reaching Key
Starting at 10th level, the keyblade is amplified by your will, extending your weapon attack range during your rage to 10 feet. Also during rage, your weapon attacks can hit creatures that are adjacent to each other -requiring a roll for each creature. This is to a maximum of 3 creatures and requires the targets are in a line an no further than 5 feet from each other.

Blitz Impact
At 14th level, when you make an attack action you can choose to move 5 feet during your attack to get into range with the target. This does not incur an attack of opportunity for your opponent even if you move by or away from a hostile creature. During rage this movement increases to 10 feet. Alternatively you can move a target 5 feet from you on a successful hit. On a critical hit they are knocked prone as well.

Fighter Archetype

Ability Master
In everything that you do, the potential for greatness is unlocked by the keyblade. You gain Ability Points equal to half your Fighter level rounded down. There are many things that can be done with Ability Points.

Physical Arts
Starting at 3rd level, you can spend one of your Ability Points to succeed on any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution check. Alternatively you can spend two of your Ability Points to succeed on a Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution Saving Throw. You regain Ability Points used this way after a long rest.

Mighty Arts
At 7th level, you can spend an Ability Points to gain advantage on a weapon attack you make with your keyblade once per turn. You regain Ability Points used this way after a long rest.

Critical Arts
Beginning at 10th level, when you succeed on any weapon attack you can spend three Ability Points to treat the attack as a critical hit. You regain Ability Points used this way after a long rest.

Recharging Arts
Starting at 15th level, when you deal damage to a creature and roll the maximum result of damage you regain an Ability Point.

Ultima Arts
At 18th level, you can spend four Ability Points to apply your proficiency bonus to your weapon damage this turn.

KH(FF) magic and spells will be added but not the main focus even for casters. You'll inherit them like magic weapons at a later time. If you remember any of the games then you'd see that spells were earned after worlds or certain quests were fulfilled.

Destiny Island won't be exactly the same as it is in the game either! Based on what people want to play the world around it changes and reformed for the story!

Alright. I'm gonna lock in for a Human Fighter. Let me flick through backgrounds again and come up with something. Are we playing kids or adults? The Keyblade seems to like picking kids for whatever reason; I think Aqua and Terra are 17 or 18 and they're either Masters or Master-level combatants.

Now that I think of it. I found a homebrew class and race I like that isnt a keyblade wielder.

Edit: Race is a bit OP so Im going to nerf it a bit. Send a copy of information. Please tell me if you want me to change something from those as I am open to editing information a bit

@MimikyuHello! Right off the bat- I know you wanted to have only three players. I'm just going to say that I've been following the thread though, lurking as it were. I felt it was time to make myself known, but I didn't want to clog up your OOC or make it look like spam. That being said, I love Kingdom Hearts, and TTRP, and while I'm more familiar with Pathfinder, well, I feel bad that I missed this, and if you ever feel the need for a fourth player, I'm more than ready to be thrown in.

However, if he does comeback then I may still have you play depending on the kind of character you'd like to have. Swordmage, Paladin, and Fighter could use some diversity from melee.
