1) Your classmates most definitely know every embarrassing story there is to know about you. And if they don’t, they’ll find out. THEY ALWAYS DO.
2) If there are successful and/or famous alumni, you’re determined to be the first to know about it and make it your fun fact of the day.
3) If you have siblings, your teacher taught them, and already has an idea of who you are before you walk into their room.
4) There is no escaping the kids of the same course level as you. You take honors? AP? That one kid that asks to borrow your pen will be in EVERY SINGLE CLASS AS YOU because he’s just as “smart”. You had a damn pencil last period!
5) Your school is known for one sport… that’s football.
6) You want to audition for the lead role in this year’s season’s production? Rather it be someone completely random, it’s probably your ex’s new girlfriend or your smelly lab partner.
7) Your ex is also your best friend’s ex and your brother’s ex’s little brother.
8) New transfer? Their life story is spread around the school instantly.
9) It’s hard to take anyone’s speeches seriously… they’re trying to motivate you but you start thinking about the time they pissed their pants at a haunted house…
10) Pranks come with MAJOR consequences. The principal recognizes the back of every student’s head. Small school means easier to find the culprit.
11 ) Mutual acquaintance? No such thing. We’re all friends! Or hateful enemies… but we do KNOW each other.
12) Gossip spreads even faster than germs, and flu season fucking sucks here.

Jareth, Mariah, Remy, Temperance, Christopher Robin, & Lorelei

Chilly, that is a good way to describe the weather in Westworth today. It wasn’t predicted to get much past mid sixties - a hopeful high temperature - and autumn was in full swing. They had a few weeks still before the first snow would come to blanket the town with full-blown cold and, until then, it would be chilly. As such, Jareth was already wearing three layers - a weathered The Devil Wears Prada band shirt, a dark grey unzipped hoodie for insulation, and a black faux leather jacket. One earbud was fished through the layers and disguised by his styled mop of ebony locks so that he could listen to music in his right ear and still appear to be paying perfect attention in class throughout the day.

Jareth shut his locker and spun the lock’s dial a few times to scramble it before heading towards homeroom. There was some important meeting today about their senior trip or something like that, so it was actually worth being punctual in his eyes. Just outside the classroom was Desi, all huddled up next to the heater. Jareth laughed and dramatically imitated her crossed arms and pout, adding in a full body shiver for emphasis.

”Morning, Des!” he said in his cheerful morning person voice, as he had already been up for an hour and a half to go running before school. Though, not as cheerful as he usually was because, Mariah was right, it was fucking cold.

Mariah stared at Jareth for a few moments, her reaction to the mocking delayed--probably as a result of the temperature around her (and it was only going to get fucking colder). She stuck her tongue out at her friend and stuffed her hand into the pocket of her hoodie, fishing around before she retrieved a gummy bear. She pulled it out and looked at it. Finally, the cold girl smiled. Cherry!

She popped the chewy snack into her mouth before tugging absently at her hat. ”Well, I’m glad you didn’t say good morning, because it’s not a good morning, it’s just cold. Bitterly, she adjusted her hat around her ears properly and stood up after checking her phone for the time. ”We should go to class before we’re late. Hopefully the heater has sufficiently warmed my chair so it isn’t just frozen plastic.” She stuffed her hand back into her pocket to withdraw another gummy bear…

Lemon. Gross.

Mariah held the snack out to Jareth, ”Gummy bear?”

”Ooh, yellow? What a blessing, I feel loved.” Jareth quipped snarkily, but took the offering and popped it in his mouth. He knew she didn’t like lemon, he was doing her a favor, truly, but he didn’t mind, sugary treats are sugary treats after all! Together, they departed from the inviting warmth of the heater to join up with the rest of the junior class.

Inside one of two history rooms, designated for junior homeroom, Remy Delaney held onto a blue marker and stared at the whiteboard contemplating what to write on it. He wore a white beanie, that made his darker attire pop (gray/black All Time Low shirt, black tight jeans, navy blue converse). Plus, beanies were comfy and hid his bed hair, which was inevitable because Temperance was in the shower FOR-FUCKING-EVER. This change was going to be a pain in his ass - with his dad being engaged and all. Behind him was Mr. Clarke’s podium, that he had placed a couple of packets on. One about Spirit Week, another about Auditions for Monsters Inc the Play, a student made production, and another one about the Halloween dance, seeking a committee and chaperones. All that good stuff. Since he was the secretary of their homeroom council, he had to do the work that nobody wanted to do, but that’s okay. Someone had to.

In the back of the classroom, a nervous Temperance was flipping through her messy notebooks, wild eyes scrounging for an important assignment due in History class today. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found, lost forever in the eternal abyss. She was going to fail! The world was spiraling around her, the bricks of reality falling apart one by one. Her pulse escalated, her breathing went heavy, and the clutches of anxiety threatened to choke the life out of her. Averting her gaze upwards, the frantic girl spotted her step-brother at the front. Her saving grace: Remy, the Knight in Shining Armor, the Illuminated One! There was no fear anymore, only hope found in her brother’s lanky form. The glimmer of a new dawn radiated from Temperance’s bold, green eyes, and with an impulsive shout, she called to her would-be savior. “Remyyy! Can I copy your homework!?”

By now, Remy had written “FUNrai” but when he went to the “s” a loud piercing voice entered his head causing him to make an unnecessary scribble. Glancing to the door, he tried to catch Mr. Clarke’s strides, which were usually prominent, due to his dress shoes. It didn’t sound like he was anywhere near, yet. Did she forget that homeroom was just about to begin in like… his eyes trailed to the clock, two minutes. Turning on his heel, he stared at the nervous wreck that would be his darling sister in the spring and gestured at his desk, by the window, with his book pack. “Green notebook, give it to me at lunch.

Conveniently for her, Lorelei Foxley, or Lala for short, Temperance’s friend since they met at Sunday school many years ago, was staring out the window and biting the end of her pencil waiting for something exciting to happen (anything really, she was bored as fuck). Playfully rolling her eyes at Tempy’s outburst, she shifted her body to face Remy’s desk and took it upon herself to dig in his backpack, which was extremely organized and smelt like spring. After grabbing the notebook, that had marker doodles on the cover, she strolled to the back of the room and offered it to the frazzled blonde, “Gotta’ learn to pipe down if you’re gonna do shit like this. What if Clarke heard you?

“Oh yeah… Um… Well…” Temperance stammered out, practically jerking the notebook from her friend’s hand. There was no doubt that her insistence on copying Remy’s homework would result in dire consequences, but sometimes you had to do what was necessary to pass! As the saying goes, C’s get degrees. Hastily, the girl brought out her thermos of coffee, unscrewed the top, and took a sip of the bitter, black liquid inside. She was poised and ready to focus on the homework she had to copy! Unfortunately, as she went to grab a pencil on her desk, her hand swiped the topless thermos. Fate was against her today, as the flask toppled and its contents spewed everywhere: on the desk, the floor, the notebook, and her lap. With a yelp, Temperance shot up from her seat, the hot liquid scalding her through her blue jeans. Now the room reeked of black coffee and steam rose all about the blonde’s desk. A mousey blur, Temperance embarrassingly took off towards the bathroom to clean herself up. Doom! That was all that could be foreseen today. Hope had faded, as not only did she not have her homework, but she had destroyed her future sibling’s as well. Like peasants facing a demonic deity, they were but mere morsels for the beast that awaited them in 8th period.

Slip at her finest.” Lala brought her attention to the front, where Remy was staring at her and the disaster. He kept a smile on but she knew he was freaking out on the inside. This was like a month or two of detailed notes? Now drenched in coffee. “My notes are basic, but you can copy it.” Yeah, she was not cleaning this mess up. Nonchalantly, she went to her seat, which was in between Temperance’s and her boyfriend’s desks (nice big circle), and rested her feet on it.

FUNraisers & Our Ideas
(Senior Year Trip)

Aggressively, Remy underlined the header with a red marker. Extremely peeved at the incident that happened moments ago. Luckily for Remy, there was at least one person in the classroom who had an idea (or perhaps two). With his sunglasses hanging off the front of his shirt, and his hat twisted on backwards, Christopher Robin strolled up to the whiteboard, grabbing the blue pen off of the ledge. ”Here, I gotchu, bro.” He said to Remy with a wink before he moved the pen across the whiteboard in careful strokes.

”There’s your funds, right there.” Mission accomplished, Christopher Robin dropped the pen on the floor and folded his arms over his chest. BOOM.

”Pooh bear, no.”

”What?! I’d wear one.” Christopher Robin said glumly, sitting down at his seat. He just wanted to help!

”Well, I’m all for it, then!” Jareth said with a chuckle that was more like a pot giggle than a full laugh. He tipped back in his chair as he thought of a suggestion that might be helpful. ”Oh! What about that cookie dough one, where you can eat it raw or bake it? That one.” He leaned forward to get up and his chair clacked down noisily. Jar wrote ‘COOKIES!’ in his all-capital-letters, chicken scratch handwriting right below Winnie’s suggestion before returning to his seat between Christopher Robin and Desi. There, he participated… which should both please Remy, and keep him from having to pay too much attention or getting called on again for a while. Win-win!

Yeah, these ideas would not be enough if they wanted to outdo their parents, and grandparents, and every alumni ever. Right by Jar’s suggestion, Remy added: > Could be Bake Sale w/ Food Challenge. Perhaps before they think of ways to raise money, they should figure out where they wanted to go and how much they’d have to save…

”Yo, I bet we could get together like a… a…” Christopher Robin searched his mind, trying to find words to explain what he was thinking to his classmates. He pulled his sunglasses off of his shirt and gnawed on the end of one of the arms. ”Westworth Olympics, bro. I could put on a show with my board, right? And you guys could… you guys could be there!”

Lala tapped her pencil on her leg, observing her class, before interjecting, These ideas sound all cool and dandy, and I think we should do them all. Including like, iunno, like a massive hangout in the gym where parents pay a fee to not deal with us and teachers can supervise and we do… stupid shit… so they can go out and be adults, but how much we have to make? Where the hell are we going? Disneyland and world is out of the question, so is a cross country roadtrip, can’t really go to Montreal either. We have less than two years to make bank. Let’s make it happen.

”Swiss Alps. Definitely the Swiss Alps.”

”NO. I don’t wanna be cold!”

”Man, they got lodges…”

Keeping attentive, Remy listened to people’s suggestions and started to make a list besides the fundraising ideas of possible locations they could strive for. Eventually, they’d just do cross elimination until there was one place standing. He couldn’t think too much of his ruined notes and homework, since he had to keep the class focused (though, so should Desi, Temp, and Lila - HE WASN’T THE ONLY COUNCIL MEMBER). Okay, class didn’t technically start, but he still felt like he should get the creative juices movin’ in his classmates’ noggins.

I feel like I just walked into a cafe, you all drinking coffee?… oh, Remy. Mr. Clarke strolled on in and went to the scrawny boy with the white beanie, Here. This is for yesterday, since yeah, I forgot my wallet. And this is for today. The history teacher gave the boy an envelope of cash, Same spot?

Yepp. I’m surprised you haven’t like… iunno, you buy a lot.

It’s what keeps me goin’, kid. I need it to teach you slackers.Neither of them needed to specify what Mr. Clarke was buying because all throughout the day, you can always find a piece of cheesecake on his desk. He was a faithful customer of Remy’s grandpa’s food - especially his cheesecakes. Okay, what’d I miss? Lala, get your feet off the desk. You like Joe, don’t you? Don’t make his job harder by putting your muddy shoes on the table.

This desk should be the least of Joe’s worries. Lala glanced at the mess Temperance left behind, but still obeyed Mr. Clarke since he wasn’t a man you wanted to test. However, he was still a cool dude, when he wanted to be.

Currently, we’re trying to figure out where we even want to go. Everyone has great ideas. Big, very big. But--- not enough to be… reasonable?Remy scratched his head with the end of marker.

It’s a start. Okay. Class. Reasonable or not, I want you all, even if you already suggested, to give a place you’d like to visit. Remy will write it on the board and we’ll do a vote. Got it? Go.

Madi & Oli

Location: Nichols Residence -> Westworth High
Interacting with: | Eachother | Remy @lovely complex |
| Madi's Outfit | Oli's Outfit |

Oliver Nichols was always one to wake up early. He loved to be up before everyone else, and in his family, that wasn't hard. On his days off, which were few and far between, his dad would rarely get up before nine. And hell hath no wrath like his mother does when she's woken up earlier than ten. Their's a reason the library doesn't open until 11:30, and that reason is Lucy Nichols. His sister on the other hand, was the only one who shared his love of the early morning. Well, she did at least, until the...accident.

These small facts about life in the Nichols house made it so that Oliver was the only person up at 6:00 in the morning, already showered, dressed for the cold, and preparing breakfast. His dad padded down the stairs in his suit and tie, briefcase in hand. "Smells like someone's making pancakes again. Where in the hell did you manage to get the gene for cooking?" his dad asked, a smile on his face as he grabbed one of the full coffee mugs that Oli had prepared. Oli simply shook his head and chuckled. "My theory is that I was adopted, although Mom has debunked that one, with multiple, extremely graphic descriptions of my birth."

His dad gave a hearty laugh at that one, and gave his son a nod of thanks as he dumped three pancakes onto his plate. Oli, not feeling particularly hungry, grabbed only one, wrapped it up, and bit into it. Smiling, he ran upstairs to his most daunting task of the morning. Waking up Madi. He took a deep breath and prepared himself for the onslaught of insults and stuffed animals that was sure to greet him the moment she opened her eyes. Once he was satisfied with his preparation, he slowly opened the door to her room and stepped on through, wincing as he said, "Madi, if you don't get up now you're going to have to go to school looking like a foot," turning on the lights in her room and opening up her curtains.

Madi, for her part, did not get too vicious with her insults. At least not at first. It wasn't until Oli tore the covers off of her, letting the cold air brush against her skin, that she really went for the kill. "YOU ROTTEN LITTLE WEASEL! GO! GET OUT YOU UNWANTED LITTLE SKEEZ!" Madi shouted, her voice carrying throughout the Nichols' home, and bringing her father running upstairs to see what was going on. "Hey! Madi, you were all wanted. Now, I can't dispute the weasel remark. That's a fact," Jameson said with a chuckle, one that earned him a glare from Oli.

Despite her remarks though, Madi was up, and she certainly wasn't going back to sleep. Not on Oli's watch at least. While Madi got dressed, having showered the night before, Oli faced the wall, and cracked really shitty jokes. "Hey Mads?" "What Oli? she responded, pulling her shirt over her head. "What do you call it, when you hand your friend the aux chord, and they play shitty music?" he asked, a stupid grin on his face. "God damn it Oli, this is going to be stupid isn't it?" she demanded as she ran a brush through her hair. "Aux-ward! Get it? Like awkward?"

Madi smirked, the result of her desperately trying to stop herself from laughing. She finished brushing her hair and took a look at herself in the mirror. She looked great, she'd admit that. She took a deep breath, and turned to look at her brother. "Oli, are we really ready to go back?" Madi asked, her face a mix of emotion. Oli stood up and walked over to his sister, smiling, and then flicked her on the forehead. "Of course we are. Now let's go, we don't want to be late!" he said, wincing as she smacked him on the back, hard.

Finally, after Madi had grabbed a pancake to eat on the ride over to the school, the siblings stepped outside and got into Oli's car, a Mercury Sable that he'd affectionately named Elphaba, mainly because he was a whore for Broadway. Madi's nails curled into the leather seats of Elphaba, but Oli gave her a look, one that reassured her that this would all be good. She nodded, and focused on the road ahead, her stomach plummeting as they began to drive towards the school.

The rest of the car ride was a blur, mainly because Madi had her eyes closed for the entirety of it. She still couldn't stand being in cars, and she'd have definitely walked if it wasn't so fricking cold outside. Once at school, she stepped out, book bag slung over her shoulder, and walked up to the entrance with Oli. Oli, to his credit, was handling the return remarkably well, waving to old friends, and smiling at everyone. Deep down, he was freaking out just as much as his sister, but he handled it a lot better.

Madi kept her eyes aimed at her feet as she and her brother walked to homeroom. She wasn't quite sure if she was really excited to see anyone. This summer had made her realize that she didn't have a whole lot of actual friends. People had come by the house to see Oli, not her. Your own fault dumbass she thought, shaking her head. There were plenty of people she didn't really want to see. Lila Duclerc, Sierra Jameson, and most of all, Ryan. The first two she couldn't stand. Ryan however, was different. She cared about him, a lot, and she'd pretty much shut him out completely after the crash. She hadn't spoken to him since then, and she was scared about what he'd say.

Oli on the other hand, was thrilled to see his classmates. Sure, he'd seen a bit of Desi, Lila, Remy, and Jar over the summer, but unlike his sister, he genuinely enjoyed the members of his class. As they walked into their homeroom, Oli's face lit up. Remy was up at the white board, taking suggestions for the Senior Trip, and everyone was sat in a circle. They were all there, right where he'd left them. He grinned and took a seat with Desi on his right, and Madi on his left. "I say LA. We can check out Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood. Plus they've got beaches and a ton of cool shiz," Oli said, grinning. "What about Europe? We could see London and check out France and Rome? Get a little culture in all of us," Madi suggested, trying her best to inflect her usual confidence into her words. The Nichols were back, whether they liked it or not.

The air was cool and crisp as Aidan jogged down a street light-lit road of town. His breath instinctively kept in rhythm with his feet and his attention was on the soft rock music playing through his earbuds. Aidan always believed a jog was a good way to start one’s morning. He ran a different route every morning to keep things from getting too monotonous. Aidan slowed his pace down to look at his watch, “6:01A:M.” It’s already been half an hour since Aidan started running. It was time to start heading back home. Aidan returned to his normal pace, and soon enough, concrete gave way to dirt as he turned off the sidewalk and into the forest. Aidan dodged low-hanging branches, jumped over logs, and splashed through the occasional small stream. He emerged into a more suburban area, though the houses were spaced out further than most suburbs. Aidan continued running up the road for a bit longer before turning into his family’s driveway, and bringing his morning jog to an end.

Aidan stepped into his family’s home. He entered the small foyer. A flight of stairs led to three bedrooms, including his own, and a bathroom. The hall on his left opened to the kitchen which connected to the dining room, and then the living room, which the hall on his right also opened to. A mirror and small table flanked the door, with an assortment of keys and knick knacks, including a family portrait, sat on top. Aidan quietly made his way up the stairs. From the crack below the door to his parent’s room, he saw a light flicker on, indicating his parents were just now getting up. Aidan entered the bathroom, and got in the shower. Aidan spent the next few minutes washing up, brushing his teeth, and shaving his face. He then went to his room and got dressed. Aidan returned downstairs to see his parents in the kitchen.

“Good morning, Aidan,” his mom, Lee Ann Pierceman, said with a turn of her head. She was busy making what smelled like eggs over the stove. With a flick of the wrist, she popped the pan upwards, giving the eggs a nice hop, before they returned safely to their original position. Mrs. Pierceman turned around as Aidan sat down at the island in the middle of the kitchen. His father, Richard Pierceman, was leaning against the counter perpendicular to his wife, reading the newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee, “Morning, son,” he said, bringing the paper down low enough to see over it.

Aidan looked down to see a plate with eggs and bacon ready for him. “Morning yall. Thanks for the breafast mama, smells good.” Aidan grabbed a fork and dug into his food. The family then conversed on what lied ahead of them for the day. Business as usual around there. After Aidan was finished, he got up and deposited his dirty dishes into the sink, which he would have to wash once he got home. Aidan gave his parents a hug and said his good-byes before grabbing his backpack and keys and heading out the door. Yes, life may be nice for Aidan right now, but it was all earned from hard work and determination, something his parents take pride in knowing. Everything was earned including Aidan’s aging truck. Good grades and saved up money bought Aidan his first vehicle. He and his father agreed they would each pay half. It may not be the prettiest or fastest, but it was his. He threw the backpack in the bed, and hopped into the cab. The engine gave a nice rumbling as he turned the ignition, and Aidan started his short drive to school.

He saw kids of all ages walking down the sidewalk and eventually enter the school. He parked his truck, and got out, grabbing his backpack from the bed before shutting the door. Aidan made his way to the front door giving anyone he came near a good morning greeting. Once he reached the door, he opened it and allowed anyone in close proximity to enter before he followed suit himself. Aidan walked past a few classrooms before ascending the staircase that lead to his desired floor. Some of his classmates, were already seated, with Remy standing at the whiteboard, writing down suggestions for the senior trip. Aidan entered luckily entered the classroom right before their teacher, Mr. Clarke arrived.

“Good morning, everyone, hope yall are doing well,” he said cheerfully to his classmates, He looked towards the mess that was on Lala’s desk before adding, “well, I hope yall are doing, OK, at least.” Aidan made his way to his desk, which sat next to Temperance’s. Luckily, none of the coffee got on his own desk. Aidan slid his backpack off his shoulder and sat it down opposite the spilled side. Aidan took his seat and took a better look at the whiteboard. By then, Mr. Clarke had already entered the room and was asking everyone to share ideas. Ideas for Europe were being thrown around more than others it seemed. He couldn’t think of anywhere in the US that sounded great, especially since a road trip was no good. “How about a trip to Rome? I heard that’s always a good place to visit.” He thought for a second longer before adding, “and as for fundraising, we could organize an intramural softball or flag football game and charge a few dollars at the gate.”

Anna Manning

Location: Home -> Westworth High
Interacting with: errybody, errybody

It was a peaceful morning, the birds chirping as the sun announced its arrival to the land known as Colorado. It was that time of year where it wasn't cold enough to wear a jacket all day, but it wasn't hot enough to not need a jacket throughout the day. Anna called it purga-weather (along with that phenomenon where it's sunny right after it rains). It was perfect weather - for sleeping. The bed was more comfortable than heaven, Anna could've slept in it for years on end. But... all good things had to come to an end. The alarm on her phone blared at maximum volume, prompting the Asian girl to crack an eye open and stare at her phone. Vibrating so intensely that it was going to fall off of her nightstand if she didn't stop it. The New York native yelling at her from her phone finally shut up, and Anna planted her face in her pillow before utilizing whatever willpower she had at the time to get her ass out of bed.

The process for her to get ready for the day wasn't one that took a long time. Brushing of the teeth, a shower, and maybe even makeup if she was feeling it. Today was not one of those days. Anna was in and out within twenty five minutes, fully dressed at that as well. Anna was wearing a gray sweater, light jeans, and a pair of those Vans shoes that everyone seems to wear. Most of her family were still asleep anyway, so Anna was alone when she emerged into the kitchen and grabbed herself a muffin to munch on while she drove herself to school. Ever since Anna had gotten her license, she had become pretty much independent and took care of her own things. Her parents didn't even know what was going on in her life the majority of the time.

Anna stepped out of her front door and into the... outside. The cold air stung at her neck as she made her way to her car, a raggedy Toyota Corolla that is still somehow operational. The car had turned over and off she went. Going down the block and past those still dormant houses... how Anna envied them all. She hated getting up so god damn early in the morning to go to dumbass school. The only thing making this moment remotely bearable was the music playing on her car's speakers. Might've been some newer shit but she fucked with Desiigner.

Unfortunately, she had finally arrived at Westworth High and pulled into her designated parking spot. She sighed and gathered her things, closing and locking the door behind her as she shuffled her way to homeroom. "why why why..." Anna groaned as she entered the high school, hearing the chatter of literally every single person at this school. It was not lit. Anna had finally arrived at the homeroom and didn't really make eye contact with anybody. She slid down in a seat and listened to her classmates throw in a suggestions for the class trip.

Top of the morning; my fist to your face is fucking Folgers.

Kenzi wasn't exactly a morning person, but then she challenged anyone to find a student that was. There were few constants in the world, but teenagers loving to sleep was perhaps the most honest one there was. Sleep was a luxury and it was never as long as you wanted it to be; unless of course you got sick or had a long weekend. Summer was not nearly long enough, especially since Kenzi got that job over what should've been three months of doing fuckall. The job wasn't even her idea, it was her mother's. She didn't want another summer of Kenzi laying around the house and sleeping until three in the afternoon. Mother's never seemed to understand that youth was meant to be squandered. The job was hardly exciting. Handing out shoes and spraying them when that one asshole didn't wear socks, kicking people off arcade machines when they started kicking the grab machine, and telling off people from school begging for a discount. They didn't even hang out with her at school and now they expected favors?

Kenzi had been on shift last night and it was more of the same. The smell of shoe spray lingered still on her nostrils. Her shift went until closing, which meant extra time spent cleaning after people that couldn't finish their ten dollar nachos and four dollar draft beer...shit, it was their money being wasted. When she finally got home it was all she could do to collapse onto her bed and doze off. So of course when the alarm that was her mother yelling from downstairs blared, it had seemed like too brief a duration. She wanted to sleep. More. As she woke up and took a glance in the mirror she almost recoiled, not at the obvious bed head and tired expression, but that she had fallen asleep in the same outfit she went to work in. No wonder she smelled like cigarette smoke and polish. She dare not look at the clock, her mind wouldn't accept being woken up at any other time than 'like twenty minutes before school started'.

Another day, another eight hours of whispers and mysterious silences as she walked past. It used to be they just whispered about things Kenzi potentially did, like when the women's restroom near the science classrooms proudly displayed the principal's sexual preferences in rather crude language written in spray paint. Kenzi got an in-school detention for two weeks because of that and she hadn't even done it. But now the whispers were about the fucking talent show even though it happened so long ago. There had to be other things to discuss in the halls, but when someone winds up damn near doing a striptease and setting a stage on fire...people tend to remember. In her defense, or at least as she told the principal and PTA after the fact (because the little Freshmen were oh-so-bothered), she thought she was wearing a bra. School talent shows stifle artistic expression. They didn't care that her performance was laden with profanity, but accidentally show skin and light an effigy and it's like you broke into a home and killed the family pet.

People were still talking about it whenever Kenzi walked past and at this point it was more annoying than anything else. And worst of all they never got the details right. "There goes Kenzi, she did a striptease" was common to her ears, as was "Kenzi? The girl who had sex on stage?" The least they could do was get it right if they were gonna talk at all. No one understands art.

To say that Kenzi was looking forward to yet another day of hushed tones and judgmental eyes would be highly incorrect. And yet as she stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her person, she knew exactly what she would be getting into. After washing the smell of bowling alley remorse from her body, she dressed herself in an orange sweater - gotta get that October spirit - that was three sizes too large and blue shorts so short that they were hidden away by the sweater. Kenzi stomped her way to the kitchen where her toaster pastry was already waiting for her; mom's were good at some things after all.

"You're wearing THAT?" But clearly fashion wasn't one of those things. Amber Lin had long since given up trying to make Kenzi wear more...regular clothing; she compromised that so long as Kenzi was actually GOING to school, she could wear whatever so long as it didn't violate the dress code. Kenzi, of course, took that to mean 'wear anything I could to skirt as dangerously close to violating the dress code as possible'. It's why almost every day she wound up coming to school looking like she wasn't wearing any pants. Today was, clearly, no exception. "The weather report says it's going to be cold."

Kenzi didn't respond, chomping down on her pastry instead. But she heard and understood the reasoning and as she left the house on her way to school, she first made sure to grab a jacket for the journey.

Kenzi didn't have a ride to school and she didn't enjoy slumming it on the bus with the smellies; she liked the walk from her home to the school. It was calming, the breeze outside and the means of simply...soothing her thoughts and steeling herself for the day to come. Sure, she'd like to have a ride, even just as a passenger, but genuine friends were somewhat difficult to come by. So walking it was.

It took a good fifteen minutes, but Kenzi arrived at Westworth, stepping her way through the doors and halls until she arrived in the classroom, stomping her way towards her seat in the back. It wasn't her assigned seat, she just refused to get up on the first day and since then...it was Kenzi's seat; who was gonna argue with her? The teacher tried but eventually the threat of detention didn't matter, not when someone was there most days of the week anyway. Kenzi stopped a moment only to greet Anna in the same manner as teenagers greet anyone: a quick tilt of her head upwards; other than that, Kenzi plopped herself down in her desk and pulled an earbud into her ear.

Who fucking cared about a class trip; knowing her she'd be dropped out before it even happened. Right now all she wanted to do was ignore people. Drowning out their whispers and words with rhymes and beats. How much longer before school wasn't mandatory. Too long.

Too fucking long.

Lila’s OOTD

“Lila! Lila-bear! Time for school!”

A tiny brunette girl slowly rose her head from an open textbook, still feeling tired and with a slightly aching body. A small, sticky drool stain dampened one of the pages, marking the spot where Delilah Duclerc’s face had been resting for the last few hours. At some point during her late-night study session Lila had fallen asleep on her desk, clearly exhausted and bored to death with the test subject. Which abomination of a person found History to be a fun subject? It was boring and old and something she despised with all her heart. Having to take that class was torture… Especially at freaking 2:37 in the afternoon, when all you wanted was to leave that classroom and never come back. Life was too darn cruel sometimes.

It took Delilah a few minutes to fully wake up and get moving, but when she finally did and took a glance at her phone after going through the motions (get up, brush her teeth, shower, etc.), her mood was instantly lifted. “Ooooooh, it’s October third!” Lila said brightly after looking at the date, clearly making reference to the cult pop movie that was Mean Girls, which happened to also be one of her all-time favorites. Her eyes then fell on the weather forecast of the day, which she used to dressed herself appropriately. Temperatures were supposed to stay around the mid-sixties, so that meant she could still rock her skirts as long as she wore sweaters and tights. After careful consideration standing in front of her closet, Lila finally settled on a black skirt with a cherry blossom pattern, a beige sweater with a big black bow on the collar, black Jimmy Choo heels, black tights and her prized black Michael Kors handbag. Feeling thoroughly satisfied with her OOTD, she moved onto hair, makeup and accessories: high ponytail (with two strands from the front tucked behind her ears to look trés fantastique), small cat-eye eyeliner, light blush, pink lips, gold accessories. One long, hard look at herself in the mirror later, Delilah was happily making her way out of her room, down the stairs and into the dining room.

After the mandatory family breakfast (where the Duclerc family basically shared with each other the plans for the day before heading off to their respective responsibilities and not hear of each other again until dinner), Lila grabbed her car keys, got settled into Pearl’s driver’s seat and headed off to school. The trip was short but eventful one (life with Lila was never uneventful), as Delilah always made sure to have a car karaoke session to raise her spirits for the day. Today’s chosen artist was Duffy, and her hit song ”Mercy” was being sung enthusiastically by the brunette driver all the way to Westworth High. And just like every morning, Lila left Pearl in her usual spot near the end of the parking lot. There was a completely logical reason for this. It wasn’t because Lila liked to walk, but because the risk of accidentally hitting someone else’s car with her own while trying to park (like it had happened a few times before) was lower. End of the parking lot = less cars = less chance of her to crash into another car. It was safe to say that Delilah wasn’t the best driver in town… But hey: being pretty, loved, talented and smart was enough for her. Being a good driver too was asking the world for too much, in her opinion. Let someone else less unfortunate be blessed that way.

With her usual confidence, Lila gracefully made her way to the school’s A Building, the sound of her heels clacking on the asphalt and floors and her skirt dancing freely at every step. Once she had gone up the stairs and reached the classroom, she wasted no time in saying hello. Bonjour, mon amies! Delilah chirped out cheerfully in her signature French greeting, waving to her classmates with a bright smile. She had all intentions to quietly make her way to her seat when her dazzling green eyes fell on her darling Oliver.

“Oli-Bear! Hi!” Lila shrieked, running over to Oliver as fast as her heels would let her and throwing her arms around him, nearly hitting his sister Madison with her handbag. Not that Lila would have cared: Madison was entitled, stupid and also happened to have a crush on Ryan. So, in Lila’s eyes, she kind of deserved it. Evil thoughts aside, Delilah took a seat in her best friend’s lap, waiting eagerly for a few moments to figure out what was the topic of the conversation. It didn’t take long for her to catch up on the topic and jump right in.

“Oooooooh, we talking class trip?” she asked excitedly, flipping back her brown and blonde ponytail. “I have tons of ideas. We could go to Disney World, or Rome, or Paris… OOOOOOOH! We could go to Santorini!” she shrieked, green eyes shining at the thought of the white buildings and the gorgeous blue ocean of the famous Greek landmark. “Yes, my vote goes to Santorini! Oh, and no worries about getting permissions from Town Hall for fundraising. We have Daddy on our side.” Lila said sassily, referring to how her father- the mayor of Westworth as of 2012- was more than willing to allow their class to do as many activities as they pleased, so long as they were appropriate. He wanted his princess’ senior year to be perfect, after all.

‘My liiiiiiife….’

Temperance was fraught with frustration as she scrubbed the cooled coffee out of her pants with rough, circular motions. Why couldn’t the dashing Chris Pratt just waltz in and take her pants off and… Her cheeks flushed red at the thought, immediately ceasing her descent into erotic fiction for now. It was too early for hopeless, dirty romantic thoughts! Vigorously, one of her small hands grabbed another handful of paper towels while the other tossed the soaked ones into the garbage. Her pants were dry now, for the most part. In an alternate reality, they could have been off though. And she could have been with Chris Pratt! In a public bathroom…

Okay, so maybe that really wasn’t the best fantasy. In fact, it could even be considered a little gross. This is exactly why she read other people’s smut rather than wrote her own.

As far her incident with her coffee went, this was definitely not the first time anything chaotic and embarrassing had happened Temperance. Something of a curse followed her, a poltergeist that left a maelstrom in its wake. One of her most notorious achievements, if they could be called that, consisted of toppling over nearly all of their modest library’s bookshelves after she had bent over to tie her shoe laces. Seriously, she swore up and down God himself had out it for her. Her mom just considered it her “awkward stage” in life, but she’d been stuck in this state since elementary school. Whether or not she’d actually grow out of her clumsiness had yet to be seen.

Sighing, the blonde made her way out of the bathroom and down the hall to find Joe the Janitor. He was, after all, the go to man for the devastation Temperance wrought. Never in his life had he had to work as much as did while the young Venable continued to grace Westworth High. Still, the two of them had a solid relationship, and when the older man caught sight of the mousey blonde strolling toward him, he could only chuckle, knowing some misfortune had already transpired.

“What’s it today? Break the toilet again?” Joe jested, teasing the teenager with a smirk.

The toilet accident… Temperance didn’t want to go into that. She didn’t even know toilets could break like that! “No… I got coffee all over the floor in Mr. Clark’s classroom.” She meekly replied, eyes on the floor and hands folded awkwardly.

“I won’t question how that happened, but don’t worry, Temperance. I’ve got this. I’d make you do it, but… I think we’d all somehow be drowning in dirty mop water.” Whistling, the janitor waltzed away to get a mop and his janitorial cart, while the mess of a Junior hurried back in silence to Mr. Clark’s class. It was doubtful she’d be getting her history assignment in, which had her tumbling her hands in anxiety. At least she was alive, unlike the poor souls residing in Paris’ catacombs. Bones, more bones, death, and darkness… What a miserable place to be buried! Strangely, the thought of France’s capital and its eerie landmark gave the blonde inspiration for the Junior class’ trip. Of course, it was perfect! Well, at least she considered it to be the prime locale for a bunch of small town teenagers.

Bustling into class, the blonde’s green eyes went to the white board, noticing the best suggestion hadn’t been made yet. Hawaii, LA, London, Paris, Rome… Yuck! Youth was about experience, not sightseeing!

“Amsterdam! 4/20, blaze it! Smoke weed everyday!” she blurted out, which quickly drew suspicious eyes from Mr. Clark. “Er… I mean, it’s historic and there’s a lot of educational value to be had there.” A quaint laugh could be heard as Joe the Janitor slipped behind Temperance and got to work, cleaning up the girl’s mess.

Truthfully, Temperance knew absolutely nothing about Amsterdam except for the supposed lawlessness of the city that numerous forms of media had attached to it. Yes, marijuana was legal in Colorado, but that was probably the only wild thing about the state. As for how to fund the trip… That was a tricky question. A small school like theirs only got so much money, and there were so few people around that could actually contribute anything. Well, unless Lala’s parents wanted to do the heavy lifting anyway. To really get the ball running money-wise on their own, they would probably have to operate outside Westworth or simply do it online. “So… this is going to be a weird suggestion, but we could sell cursed items on eBay or something… I mean, obviously they’re not really cursed, but people will pay hundreds of dollars for creepy dolls. Not that I’ve done that before, just… you know, something I’ve read about.” Temperance squeaked out her strange fundraising proposal, silently begging someone to save her from being up her in the spotlight. She was too awkward and strange for this! Lala did the talking, not her! Why did she do this to herself?! All she wanted to do was go back to a dry desk and sleep forever! Where was Chris Pratt when you needed him most...?

Location: Homeroom → Outside in the Halls → Homeroom again
Interacting With: The Class → Mr. Clarke → Jar with Desi briefly → Each Other

With his cheek propped up lazily on his left hand, Jareth sketched in the corner margin of his notebook paper whilst his classmates suggested their various ideas. Jar shaded in the exposed jawbone of an apocalyptic version of their math teacher, Mr. Thorne. What? It wasn’t weird, it was from a dream that he had, one where all the teachers had become some form of undead creature. He looked up at the white board finally, where Remy had scrawled out a growing list of fundraiser and trip destination ideas. The Swiss Alps? Desi was right, too cold, not to mention expensive. His friend and coworker, Oliver, suggested LA, which, in Jareth’s opinion was a better idea in terms of temperature… but also kind of boring, it was a bit too close to home. Europe sounded adventurous and fun, a lot of Jareth’s favorite bands were from there. Hawaii! Now, that was the best idea yet!

Jareth tapped his pencil absentmindedly against his lip rings while he thought. If he could go anywhere in the world, where would he want to go? Amidst this thought process, a very energetic Delilah hurricaned into the classroom. She was a bit much for Jareth, but she had a kind heart, and she was right - it was great to see Oliver and Madison back. Piggybacking off of the Hawaii idea, Jareth finally came up with one of his own.

What about Jamaica? That’d be great… the beach, local reggae music, drinking out of coconuts! Not to mention dank-ass rasta reefer, but Jareth edited that part out of his reasoning. Anyone that knew him, though, would know that that was reason numero uno. Before Remy could write it down, Jar said: Wait, let me write it. It’s my idea. The accent resembled a sassy valley girl, and was done so sarcastically, kind of. The emo made his way up to the board and grabbed the marker from Remy, bumping his best friend’s shoulder playfully. Board hog. he said quietly with his signature crooked smirk.

Jareth wrote a ‘J’ on the board and then made a face before smudgily erasing it with his hand. Blue was totally not the right color for this. Browsing the marker selection, Jareth picked up the green one - it was much more fitting, being that it is in the flag’s color, and it is also one of Jareth’s favorite colors. After writing ‘JAMAICA’ in all-caps, as always, Jareth added a green check mark next to ‘Hawaii’, because he really liked that idea too. He turned to Remy and, instead of giving the marker back like his friend expected, he offered a beaming smile and stepped aside to give Mariah the marker, For you, Ms. President. Jar was about to head back to his seat when Remy stopped him.

Oh no you don’t. Remy, who wasn’t that peeved at the fact that Jareth was poking fun at him, but more so at the disgusting smudge that tainted the once so refined and clean white board, grabbed the sleeve of his friend’s jacket to stop him in his tracks. Homeroom was only so long, and he needed to make a proposition to his dear friend before he decided to take a nap in class. Since Remy was loved by most, if not all, faculty and staff, practically the school pet, he knew he wouldn’t have much of a problem temporarily leaving the classroom. Bringing his attention to Mr. Clarke, while still very much holding onto the emo’s sleeve, Remy asked, Hey, Clarke, can I talk to Jar real quick in the hall? It’s school related.

Sure, make it quick. You still need to think of a place yourself. Mr. Clarke started opening the wrap off the delectable cheesecake, ready for his first piece of the day. How did he maintain his weight? That was a good question. He would surely die from diabetes. In good nature, Remy brought his attention to Jar and stuck his tongue out. Of course, he was keeping the mood lighthearted so he could convince the dark haired boy to do his bidding.

Jareth rolled his eyes a bit at Remy’s teasing facial expression. Great, this was bound to be good. He should know better than to instigate too much, karma was a bitch. Even still, Jar nodded and followed Remy out into the hall, hands in his pockets in a pre-emptive sulk. What’s up? Jar opened quietly once they were out in the hall, he leaned his back against a locker and faced the blond, tapping his fingers on the metal to the beat of the song playing in one of his ears.

Alright. Remy. You got this. After what happened last week, he couldn’t stop thinking about this one thing. He understood it wasn’t something his friend would be fond of doing, but maybe, if he just asked politely… he could convince him. This wasn’t necessarily a big favor in his opinion, but for someone like Jareth, he knew this kind of favor wouldn’t be a freebie. Without some kind of compensation, the likelihood of the emo kid being a champ for his buddy ol’ pal was zero to none.

Play up on your adorable whims and cuteness, maybe he will be easily swayed if you begged him. Stuffing his hands in his pant’s pockets, Remy tried to be as cool as Jar and lean up against a locker as well. This was business talk. He swished his head ever so slightly to get his bangs out of his face, before gleaming his pearly teeth at his best friend in the whole wide world, Gas prices. He was totally going to make light of this situation until he could spill the beans.

Remy’s words were met with a silent icy blue gaze. After a moment of quiet, Jareth’s eyebrows knitted together and he gave his friend a weird look. Right… you brought me out here to discuss the economy? he asked in a blank tone, his half smirk betraying his slight amusement.

Oh y’know, that, and… While Jareth’s gaze only slightly hinted at his emotions, Remy’s brown orbs expressed his racing thoughts even if his expression was as bright as day. Nonchalantly, he made his proposition as if it was not a big deal (but it was totally a big deal), You should be the new Blaze, with me, because the guy before totally wrecked his leg.

If Jareth was only slightly amused before, it had grown to full-on hilarious proportions in just seconds. The raven-haired boy laughed, no, guffawed at the notion. Him? In a dragon furry suit? Dancing?! No way on this side of heaven OR hell! He managed to get his laughter under control when a teacher peeked out of a nearby room, raised an angry brow, and then shut her classroom door. Jar looked to Remy now, who looked totally and completely one-hundred percent serious about this. Oh… shit. Wait… are you? Are you high right now? he asked somewhat incredulously. Me? You think I w--

If I said you can be blazed while being Blaze, would you do it? Desperate times called for desperate measures. Remy didn’t want to hold auditions only to be disappointed, at least with Jar, he could just let him do what he wants and somehow, he’d make the crowd go crazy, because Jar just had that in him. He could shit on a lawn and people would still find him cool. Just give it a go, please?

Awwe, c’mon. You already got me to join the marching band. Isn’t that enough school spirit? That’s so not--

Here it came.

Remy’s token I-want-something-from-you-Jar face. The expression that could be related to canines when they saw food on the table and wanted something good to eat. His head tilted down, his eyes looked up in the sweetest of ways, wide and clear as the morning sky, his eyebrows rose, and his bottom lip stuck out making that infamous pout only Remy could do. The worst part about this was that Remy made sure he locked his gaze with his best friend, holding him in his deep stare.

Jareth’s mouth gaped instead of finishing his monologue as he intended to. Great, now he was making The Face. The Remy face, everyone knows the Remy face. Jar pursed his lips in a straight line and tried to steel himself against it, but the eye contact made it hard. Too hard… he caved. Ugh, finneee. Jareth drawled out in the perfect groan-whine hybrid that only angsty teens pulled off so well. It was like he was being asked to clean up his room, or take out the garbage. Remy’s face perked up almost immediately, to which Jareth responded with a quick retort. But I’m totally going blazed as Blaze. That’s actually… genius. I’m kind of proud of you. Jareth was going to regret this, he could tell already.

Okay! Yeah! That’s fine. I’m so stoked. You and me on the field. It’s going to be great. I’ll need to take you to the locker room to try the suit on at some point… before Friday’s game. We’ll figure it out. The dynamic between these two was incredibly drastic. One boy’s emotions were on his sleeves and glowed in vibrant colors, while the other masked his emotions behind a gray storm and used music as his form of expression. Somehow, Remy was able to crash into Jareth’s parade a couple of years ago and, since then, they were practically inseparable.

The bromance of the century!

Doing a victorious fist bump with himself, Remy turned on his heel, practically jumping in place out of pure excitement, Alright, lets go back to being students. He turned his head back to look at Jar and smiled, all the while showcasing his dimples.

Oh boy, what did Jareth get himself into? At least Remy was happy and smiling, and not thinking about the coffee-soaked history notes awaiting him in homeroom. Because, yikes, Jareth thought he was gonna come apart at the seams for a moment back there. The smiley blonde grinned back at him as Jareth shuffled behind, hands still in his pockets. He hid his own smirk by pressing his lips together and moving the pair of rings around, making a show of rolling his eyes as he followed Remy back into class.

Speaking of coffee-soaked, Temperance was back in class, and offering her own suggestions for the trip. Jareth and Remy came back in just in time to hear: Amsterdam! 4/20, blaze it! Smoke weed everyday! Jareth chuckled at that as he took his seat once more, offering a muffled ‘hell yeah’ in agreement. Now that he had unofficially signed his soul away, it was time to face the rest of the school day with as much disinterest as he could muster. Except for lunch, Jareth had some exciting news to share at lunch!

Location: The Jameson Residence ---> Westworth Lake ---> Westworth High
Interacting With: Jason Singh (NPC), Jareth @Silent Observer, Remy @lovely complex

“So, how do I look? I’m really digging this jacket. It’s fucking sick.”

A raven-haired young woman stood in front of her desk, hands on her hips while showing off her cool-weather outfit and making silly poses at her laptop’s camera. On the PC screen was an ongoing Skype call, where a young man in a gray hoodie and dark brown hair tied back in a sexy man-bun with a few stray locks falling on his face sat grinning widely at the girl’s clownish ways. Sierra Jameson was up earlier than she usually would on a school day, but there was a very valid reason for it: she’d wanted to get in a quick morning chat with the man on the screen before heading out. The ‘man on the screen’ was Jason Singh, Sierra’s best friend since the fourth grade… And her ex-boyfriend.

“You look great, Si.” Jay replied in that rich, deep voice that made women swoon whenever he sang, with that breathtaking grin still in place. “I really wish I could be there with you, because I sure miss having that kind of weather. Unfortunately, I'm stuck here in the unbearable, scorching heat. The forecast here says today’s going to be near 90°F. I’m going to be melting while you guys over there are all nice and cool and cozy.”

Sierra’s playful manner was wiped away in an instant when Jay made mention of the weather in his new town, to be replaced with an unmistakable scowl of bitterness that was meant to hide the painful reminder that he wasn’t in Westworth anymore. “Well, you could very much be here if it weren’t for your mother wanting to ‘go after her happiness’-” she said that last part with air quotes, and always with the characteristic hurtful, sarcastic tone she reserved for when she was angry, sad or hurt. “And forcing you to leave with her so she could marry your dad and you could all be a ‘picture-perfect happy family’.”

Sierra, of course, was referring to the dreadful incident of that last summer that had brought on her misfortune. During their sophomore year, Jay’s mother Erin had left for a weekend trip in Beverly Hills, California, where her high school class would be doing their bi-yearly encounter. It was there where she’d reconnected with Jay’s dad Shawn: her high school sweetheart who had fathered Jay when they were only eighteen and whom she had separated from when Jay was only two years old. As if in some sort of cheesy romantic Hollywood movie, the recently-divorced Erin and the recently-divorced Shawn had somehow realized they were still very much in love after all these years, and had decided to give themselves another chance now that they were older and wiser. The catch to this situation had been that, in order for them to be together, Erin had to relocate to Beverly Hills. And, wanting to waste no time in re-starting her love life next to who was her one true love, Erin had searched, found a new job and made all the arrangements that were necessary for them to move away. By the time the first week of August had arrived, Erin, Kareena (Jay’s half-sister) and Jason were on their way to their new life in California. And due to the distance they would now be facing, the relationship that Jay and Sierra had shared since the second half of their freshman year had come to an end.

And, honestly? Life sucked without Jay.

Jay’s smile and content manner was also gone rather quickly at Sierra’s bitter tone, and he ran a hand through his hair: something he did when he was uncomfortable with a situation. “C’mon, Si-Bells. Don’t start this again. You know I had no choice.” he replied in a low voice, brown eyes moving away from her face.

“It’s whatever, Jay. I’m over it.” She was clearly not over it, but she would be damned before she broke down in front of Jay like she’d done when alone in her room most days since their break-up. “I’m gonna be late, so I’ll just catch you later, k?” That was a blatant lie. It was only seven in the morning, and school didn’t start till 7:45. Jay knew this, of course, but chose to ignore it in order to not start an argument.

“Alright then. Have a good one, Si.” Jay said, giving Sierra a small, sad wave all the way from his room in the golden state of California. The young man seemed to hesitate a few moments, indecision clear in his handsome face, until after a few seconds he blurted out the words. “I love you.”

Sierra, who had her back to him after thinking he’d hung up after bidding adieu to her, took a moment herself to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill from her eyes before turning around to simply say: “You have a good one too, Jay. See ya.”

“Yeah, yeah, I know I’m late. There’s no need to remind me every day, Mr. Clarke.” Sierra called out as soon as she’d walked past the door of her homeroom classroom, leaving a scent trail of cigarette smoke and fruity perfume in her wake. After spending the better part of the last fifteen minutes crying and smoking on the dock by the lake, Sierra had finally pulled herself together before arriving at school. She’d made a small detour to the cafeteria to get her breakfast muffins (all that moping had made her hungry), and devour them on the way to the classroom.

She gave an acknowledging nod to her classmates and made her way to where Remy, Desi, Lala, CR, Tempy and Jareth sat, and making a point to fist-bump every one of them. “What’s up, fuckers?”

That last word caught the attention of Mr. Clarke, who took a moment from savoring his cheesecake to give her a stern look and scold her with a "Hey, language!" before digging back into his dessert. Sierra merely grinned at him before continuing on her fist-bump spree.

When she got to Jareth, a very familiar grey hoodie Si instantly recognized was visible under his signature black leather jacket, and she gave him a soft slap in the arm. “Hey, I recognize that hoodie... I was looking for it the other day, you little shit! No wonder my jackets keep disappearing: you keep taking them! I had to fucking buy this one yesterday because I couldn’t find any to wear. I’m really gonna need some of those back, Jar, including the one you’re wearing right now. And make sure you wash them first. It’s the least you can do for stealing them, you jacket thief.” Though having been very annoyed at the lack of hoodies and jackets in her classroom, Sierra wasn’t angry at him: she’d made sure to make the rant sound playful.

She turned her icy blue eyes to the board, where a list of countries was written on Remy’s handwriting, except for Jamaica, which was written in Jar’s unmistakable scrawl. “Oh, the class trip. I honestly don’t give a shit where we go, as long as I get out of this shit town for a while.” she drawled to no one in particular, waving an airy hand as she took an empty seat near a corner, making sure she had no one sitting on either side of her. She wasn’t much into the ‘trying being civil to people’ mood at the moment. “I could use a tan, though, so I’m all for going anywhere as long as my pale ass gets a golden glow. She directed her next words at Remy. “And about fundraising ideas, I suggest a talent show where we can charge some small fee, like $5 per person. You all know how this town is all about ‘supporting the community’ and ‘looking after our neighbors’ and ‘taking care of each other’-” she said the phrases in a mocking, sarcastic way, and again with the air quotes. “I’m sure most of the town would come support us. Plus, we have some great talents in this class alone.”

Man these guys were weak. Why didn’t they ever want to do anything wicked awesome? The Swiss Alps were lit as fuck; there was snow and like lodges with saunas and stuff, Mariah didn’t have to be such a BABY. And, like, Jamaica? Hawaii? AMSTERDAM? Christopher Robin had already made what was by far the best suggestion that any of them could possibly come about! The Swiss Alps had the stomping grounds for fuck’s sake. Glumly, Christopher Robin sat down at his desk and folded his arms.

He looked like a pouting two year old, and honestly; he knew that, but he didn’t care. ”Swiss Alps a best,” he grumbled. The young man folded his arms over his chest and reached into his backpack, pulling out his history book and notes. Yeah, he was so upset he was going to do homework.

This discussion was agonizingly painful for Lorelai. While everyone was offering their ideal places to visit, she was balancing her pencil on her pointer finger. Couldn’t they just do some random lottery or something? Or even better, the teachers decide and the students don’t find out where they’re going until they get their plane tickets! Regardless of where they went, her main priority would be making sure Christopher Robin enjoyed himself, even if the place itself wasn’t where he’d want to spend his senior trip at. Temperance would be happy wherever as long as Lala went along, so that wasn’t much of a concern for the tom boy. Her brown orbs glanced over toward sad face Christopher Robin, who was actually doing his homework, all the while she balanced the pencil on her finger. ”Piglet, I’m sure you’ll go there anyways. With or without classmates.”

”Yeah, but it won’t be free.” Christopher Robin grumbled, making a note on his paper. All these fuckers were gonna vote for some island paradise and instead of boarding on the school’s dime, he’d be doing surfing or, like, sitting in the sand. At least he could be a sand castle? But snow was better for that anyway! This was all Mariah’s fault, probably. Or maybe Remy’s. Yeah, those two. Fuck ‘em, they brought the sand upon him. Probably, maybe other people would vote with him and he’d win.

Grabbing her pencil with her free hand, Lala twirled it once and then went to a blank piece of composition paper to doodle. She started tracing a pouty chibi-version of Christopher Robin, since chibi art was the only kind of drawings she could do, or shitty stick figures, anything else, was pure crap. While she drew a small crown over his head, since he was her baby prince, she absentmindedly responded, ”Money is not an issue for you. You just want the slopes.” She would draw him sitting on a sand hill, decorate it with shells and sea animals, and have him grumble, “I hate it.”

”Hey, money is always an issue. Moms always says ‘if you can get something free, get it free.’ How you think they stay millionaires?” Christopher Robin asked, looking over at his girlfriend with a crazy look on his face. Was she serious? Come on, now. Free was a positive thing. ”What would I even do at a beach? They’re lettin’ me down, man.” He muttered, turning back to his notes. At least old wars were pretty cool. History in general was super lit, Christopher Robin dug it. All those old dudes did a lot of cool stuff! From what Christopher Robin could gather, the French sucked and were really angry about furs, or something… He wasn’t totally clear on what happened, but like.

”Did you know people used to like ride elephants into battle? That’s so cool. Like a tank, only alive. And, like, bigger. Man, history is so dope.

”And now they’re among the most abused animals in countries like Thailand and Vietnam because of tourism and entertaining the public so we can ride ‘em. I’m pretty sure they’re held captive and dying off… but that’s a depressing topic. Let’s not talk about that.” Lala was focused on her drawing, but if there was one thing she wasn’t afraid to do, it was speaking her mind to her boyfriend. ”Also.” She glanced up to look at Christopher Robin’s face, ”Y’know there’s more to do at countries than go to the beach, like if we go to Hawaii there is the Waimanalo Reservoir which is basically a giant ass slip and slide. Or I’m sure we can find people that offer helicopter jumps or… let’s see what else, we could totally get flyboards and go over the water while our classmates swim. That’d be fun.”

”Sometimes things have to die so we can ride them, dude. Elephants lived a long life, they get to be in comfy zoos now and ridden by soccer moms. I wish soccer moms would ride me. I don’t even know what a flyboard is. There can’t be much more than the beach, it’s like an island… I’m grumpy now. I don’t wanna go to no island. I don’t like the ocean!” Christopher Robin blew a raspberry and slammed his history book shut. Work was done, what was he supposed to do now? Complain, duh. ”If ya’all vote for some dumbass island you best prepare yourselves for a Christopher Robin that you ain’t never seen before. I’ll bitch so much it’ll make Jar’s emo level look D-Tier at best.”

How to keep an upset Christopher Robin semi-happy and not continue complaining? After placing her pencil down, Lala grabbed her backpack from the floor and pulled out a gray thermo. Bringing it near his face, she smiled, “Here.” They had this thing where they always came prepared to make the other happy when he or she got suddenly emotionally stirred. Lala had more than this on her, but his favorite drink was the easiest medicine for her distressed Piglet.

Chocolate milk.

She wasn’t even going to bother responding to anything else he said, he was in no mood to have a conversation. Her solution: give him something he loves and then he’ll keep down and not disturb homeroom every five seconds, with huffing and puffing. While still holding the thermo, she looked up to the class and offered her vote, suggestions, or whatever, ”Alps gets my vote. Weed too. Creepy dolls, sure. But like Si, I… don’t care. Though, fuck tans. And a talent show?” Lala chuckled at the thought. A few of their classmates had talents that couldn’t be showcased on a stage, like her. ”Yeah. I’ll blow glass for ya’ll for like an hour. It’ll be dope.” she teasingly joked and gave Sierra a lighthearted wink.

”You guys are on a roll today with the profanities.”

Making a face, Christopher Robin snatched the thermos from his girlfriend and pushed it open, sipping at the chocolate milk. At least bae knew what he liked. Wife material, that girl was… ”Look, teach. I had a long weekend, I’m having a long Monday. It’s gonna sleep man I can’t nerf the way I talk every day, I’ll get confused.”

Mr. Clarke raised an eyebrow at Christopher Robin and then let out a light chuckle, ”And I’ve had a long life, you’ll be okay.”

Ryan Townsend

Location: Townsend Residence -> Westworth High
Interactions: N/A

"West Right Slot 72 Z Bingo U Split on one..."

Ryan murmured to himself as he watched game tape on the big screen TV unfold in front of him. It was tradition to do so every morning, ever since the cable at his house went out and he had nothing else to watch while he ate breakfast. The results that came by doing so were very obvious. Instead of learning of the tragedies of the world - he was able to analyze his game, and the opponent's game as well. Every little intricacy they had he was going to pick up sooner or later. Was it boring to Audrey, who just wanted to watch her cartoons? Yes, yes it very much was boring. But at the same time, Audrey knew that this was helping her big brother, so she didn't mind as much. Usually she just minded her own business and kept to herself as she munched on her cereal. The really annoying parts, however, was when Ryan had to rewind and play a particular segment of a play over and over again in order to process what had happened. He wanted to know what everyone on every play was doing, no matter where they were or if they were against him or not. Every single piece could've proven to be valuable come gameday on Friday.

Once a few minutes had passed, Ryan finished his breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns and proceeded to get ready for the day. He didn't really like to bother much with his appearance. He figured with a little teasing here and there he'd be fine for the day. He put even less effort into the clothes he wore every day. He was an athlete, and so he had to cut things like worrying about fashion out in order to maximize the role football took in his life. The quarterback opened his closet and looked at the row of plain white t-shirts he had. Sure, he had other t-shirts as well but there was the hassle of having to match it with the pants and whatnot - Ryan didn't have time for that. He threw on a fresh t-shirt and a pair of relaxed, light washed jeans and there was that.

The shuffling of things inside his backpack echoed throughout the household as he made his way to the front door, but not until Audrey came up and blocked his way to the front door. She didn't start school until later so she had time to hang out by herself and be able to watch something other than football film. Ryan smirked and kissed Audrey on the cheek, hugging her. "I'll see you later, Audrey." Ryan said, before tousling her hair and walking out the door. Because of the way Ryan's parents lived, he needed to drive himself, much like his classmates. That wasn't a problem in the morning, but in the evening, after practice was done, and his body was sore, then things got a little hectic. He was exhausted, and sore, but he still had to operate a vehicle and make it home in one piece. It wasn't as bad as he put it, but he would much rather be given a ride home or something, for his own sake.

The clunky little Chevrolet Impala moved throughout the streets as Ryan blasted this song in his car in order to keep himself awake. Ryan really fucked with modern day rap, being exposed to it constantly due to his time with fellow football players and his teammates. Something about the driving beats really got him pumped and ready to chuck the ball as far as he wanted to. The windows were rumbling as he pulled into the school parking lot. Driving past Anna's mopey Corolla, he pulled into the spot right next to her and exited the car. He was sort of aware that he was one of the last people to show up to homeroom, but he didn't care. People didn't fuck with him and he didn't fuck with people. There was that.

He walked into the homeroom, glancing across the entire room before taking his seat and plopping down, his head already on his hands as he heard the discussion about a field trip of sorts. Ryan didn't care for any of the suggestions, up until he heard CR's suggestion. "Alps has got my vote too. Hawaii is so damn overdone."

"Just because morning is mathematically probable doesn't mean it can can come when I didn't invite it."
Nicholas was mumbling as he got out of bed. He found a white shirt and dark trousers and put them on without much thought. He had more important things to worry about, and he didn't normally put tonnes of thought towards style anyway. Even so, he was aware that with a some good acting he could look like he was going to a funeral.

People who didn't know the Chen family assumed they lived "traditional" lives according to their race, although few actually had any idea what that meant. People who did thought they lived very untraditional lives. Neither was actually true - they had their own traditions, just not the ones that stereotypes had given them. After being a part of America for so long, and being aware of it, the American way more closely resembled the Chen way than any other stereotypes anyone could give them. Nicholas ate fried eggs and bacon for breakfast and made sure to skim-read world news on his computer before he left. He also, of course, made sure to grab the assignment that was due today. He would have willingly punched a brick wall if he had gone through the effort of doing a good job of it but have wasted that effort by leaving it behind. He wasn't a nerd, but he cared about success. He picked up a black trench coat (because look at the evidence - if you're badass, you're probably wearing a trench coat and if you're not you should be) and walked out the door.

Nicholas had never been close with his sister, Alicia, so she made a point of leaving about ten minutes earlier so she had time to walk - she didn't own a car. Nicholas didn't have a problem with this behaviour - she was saving him fuel. Regardless, he drove himself to school, listening to some jazz.

Nicholas got in the homeroom a little later than he'd usually prefer. After a few minutes, he figured out what was being discussed (though it seemed too formal a word), and made his own contribution.
"It seems like about 95% per cent of the people in this room would be pleased with something involving either a beach or a mountain. My suggestion? We go to Italy. Hit the Apennines for however long. Then we drive to the coast and spend the other half there. Mountains, beaches, and Rome is close to both the coast and the Apennines, so we could spend a couple of days there on the way through as well. If you guys don't wanna go with that, my vote goes to the Alps. As for cash, pretty much any skill has people willing to pay for someone to teach them or do it for them - all we need is the internet."

Just about anyone who knew Oli could tell you that, for better or worse, there were very few things that left him speechless. He simply wasn't one to shut his mouth, a fact that his sister often lamented about. There was one thing though, that could regularly leave Oli searching for words, mouth agape. Or rather, one person. Delilah Duclerc. Much to his sister's chagrin, Oli was head over heels for the mayor's daughter. He wasn't quite sure what it was that drew him to her. Her hair maybe? Or the way she held herself? Or maybe just everything? To most people, it was plain to see that Oli was a teenager struck with a major crush. And his crush was now sitting on his lap.

Starstruck and utterly frightened by Lila's close proximity to certain...areas, Oli simply gaped for a moment. An annoyed look from his sister, one that said something along the lines of "Stop looking like an idiot and speak!", prompted him to turn his open mouth into a grin. "Hey Lila, hows it going? It's nice to see you again" he asked, whispering so as not to disturb Remy's brainstorming session. He and Lila had been friends forever, best friends really, and Oli had always found it relatively easy to talk to her, up until about a year ago. That's when things had changed, when he'd started noticing more and more about her. How funny she was, how sweet, how pretty. Madi had told him he was being an idiot, but granted, she was pretty biased. She hated Lila.

Glancing around the room as he waited for Lila's response, he noticed Sierra, Ryan and Nicholas had all joined them. He looked over at Madi, who was currently doing her best to look straight ahead at the board, and far away from Ryan. Chewing on his lip, he quickly began grinning again, and looked back to Lila, awaiting her response.

Being the class president and all… wasn’t really that great. The old disney show made it seem WAY cooler than it actually was. There weren’t any sweet perks, she didn’t get to control the school lunches like in that episode of American Dad… really, what did she get to do again? Right, write on the whiteboard. Maybe she could convince the Principal to give her a private jet. She could like… do not a whole lot with it. Maybe a helicopter would be better, yeah? She could fly that from her house to school and park it atop the store. That’d be alright, Mariah figured.

She fumbled around in her sweatshirt pocket and withdrew a green apple gummy bear, popping it into her mouth. Chewing thoughtfully, Desi stepped up to the whiteboard and uncapped the marker that Jareth had handed her before he disappeared with Remy to do… whatever it was they did behind closed doors. Gross, it was probably gross.

She wrote on the board carefully, and in neat, large block writing began to compose a list a list:

Amsterdam: I
Jamaica: I
Swiss Alps:

Here she paused for a moment, wondering how many ticks the Alps got. Winnie’s of course. But would Lala just blindly vote with her boyfriend? Eh, probably. She probably would. Without actually asking, Mariah returned to her list:

Amsterdam: I
Jamaica: I
Swiss Alps: III
Italy: I
Santorini: I
Hawaii: I
LA: I
Europ

Here, the president paused again. She pursed her lips for a moment, before ultimately smudging Europe away, deciding to consolidate Madi’s vote with Nick’s. Finally, ticking her own vote (Jamaica, if only so she could get a hilarious t-shirt that said ‘Jamaican me crazy!’), Mariah finished her list.

Amsterdam: I
Jamaica: II
Swiss Alps: III
Italy: II
Santorini: I
Hawaii: I
LA: I

”So there’s all the suggested places. All good places, you know… except for the fact that… One little detail we forgot in our spamming of our incredibly expensive tourist destinations… Mariah sighed and scribbled on the board (in her normal handwriting, a bit less uniform than the actual list):

She closed the marker and tapped at the words she’d wrote on the board fervently. ”First things first. We gotta get some cash because we are straight broke, man. We got about enough cash to buy Jar some skinny jeans from Hot Topic, and maybe like each of us a Frostee from Wendy’s. One of the cheap-o 99 cent ones. Except for Jar. In this scenario, Jar is getting skinny jeans. Not a Frostee. Sorry, bud. And we gotta do this right. Which means! Yes, Winnie, I’m lookin’ at you. We can’t have our rich parents bail out our poor asses,” a wink and a smile and Mariah clasped her hands together.

”So, before we do anything like… decision wise on where we go… we should get some capital. We got time to pick a place, but hey, Gramps always says time is money — bear in mind that Gramps also says ‘Wee-Fe’ instead of Wi-Fi, so take this as you will — anyway, my point is. Time is money, and we’re wasting time circle jerking about where we should go instead of focusing on the here —” Mariah tapped the words she’d written on the board again. ”— and now. Any questions?”

A collab with Myself lol

Mentions: Jareth @Silent Observer, Ryan @QueenOfTheBee, Lala @lovely complex, Nicholas @JaceBeleren

After Delilah had piped up her trip suggestion, she sat quietly in Oli’s lap and listened as a few other classmates did the same. Jareth suggested Jamaica, which seemed like a good idea to Lila. Granted, she’d gone there before a few years ago on a cruise, but she wouldn’t mind going back. The beaches were beautiful and the atmosphere was fun. Then Temperance suggested Amsterdam, making a comment about smoking weed that Jareth seemingly approved of. Lila couldn’t help but cringe at the thought of being surrounded by prostitutes and the stank of cigarette or marijuana smoke during her trip. Call her biased by stereotypes, but in her eyes Amsterdam was a no-no. Her cringe only became stronger at the tiny blonde’s suggestion of selling cursed items on Ebay. I mean, there were lots of normal ways to raise money for the trip, right? Or, at least, Lila hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

Just when Sierra was about to speak, Delilah heard Oliver whisper a greeting to her. She moved her head closer to his mouth so she could hear him better, and heard him ask her how she was. “I’m doing great, thanks for asking!” Lila whispered back brightly, nuzzling further into his lap and giving him another kiss on the cheek. “What about you? What did you do on the weekend?” she asked, genuinely curious. She had missed hanging out with him.

Lila waited for Oli to respond, and while she did her attention was back to her classmates. Christopher Robin and Lala seemed to be in the middle of a discussion that ultimately ended in them voting for The Alps. The green-eyed girl’s reaction was instantaneous: a hand flew to her forehead and she shook her brunette-haired head. The Alps? Where it was cold and there was snow everywhere and you had to spend the day inside a resort if you didn’t like any snow sports?! That was the last place Lila wanted to spend her senior trip in. Didn’t they get enough of that during the winter months? She was about to open her mouth to say something when Ryan went with C.R.’s suggestion and voted for the Alps as well, saying that Hawaii was ‘so overdone’.

Lila’s face turned into a tragic expression, and she pretended to faint against Oli with her hand over her heart. Oh, the pain! The heartbreak of it all! Her crush, Ryan Townsend, voting to spend their trip in a freezer-like mountain! She mocked-wiped a tear from her cheek, shaking her head. The Alps had three votes now, more than the rest of the destinations. How would the anti-Alps group ever get past this imminent danger to their island paradise wishes?!

But, alas, Delilah’s hero had arrived in the shape of Nicholas Chen! The handsome Asian had suggested a trip to Italy, in which they could do both the Winter Wonderland and the Island Paradise. The brunette girl mocked-wiped another tear from her cheek, but this time her face was of grateful happiness. The day was saved, thanks to Nicholas Chen!

Meanwhile, Sierra had listened to the other suggestions with a raised eyebrow. Jamaica sounded like a blast (‘Nice pic, Jar.), and Amsterdam could be fun, yeah. At Tempy’s comment of smoking weed, she couldn’t hold back the smile that appeared on her lips. Smoking some Mary Jane and get high as a cloud was a good trip idea in Sierra’s eyes, especially if it could help her forget about Jason for a while.

Unfortunately, Christopher Robin took advantage of the sudden silence in the room to make a scene about how he didn’t want to go to the beach. If there was something Sierra couldn’t stand, it was when CR made one of his scenes. It was just Pathetic with a capital P. “Cut the temper tantrum, C.R.. Stop whining and bitching like some spoiled kid. It’s not like you don’t have the cash to go to to the Alps whenever you want, anyway.” Si said irritably, rolling her eyes. Normally, Jason would have done something to direct Sierra’s attention elsewhere so she wouldn’t lash out like this. But, as fate had it, Jason was not here, and Sierra was more alone than ever.

MOVING ON… Lala’s vote went to the Alps as well (queue Sierra rolling her eyes, but it’s not like she would have expected anything else, anyway), but she gave the other girl a smirk and a thumbs up at her ridiculous suggestion of blowing glass for an hour as her talent show performance. Ryan Townsend’s vote went to the Alps as well, and Sierra let out a frustrated sigh. If they picked the Alps, she swore to God she would skip the goddamned trip and take one by herself. Then, in what was probably the most reasonable response, Nicholas Chen suggested a trip to Italy that included the best of both worlds to please everyone. If it weren’t for the fact that she and Chen weren’t close, she would have jumped out of her seat, ran to him and hugged him. The guy was a fucking genius.

When Desi pointed out the lack of money, Sierra shrugged again. “Hey, I gave a suggestion for that. We just gotta find a few more ideas and get them in action. We have time to gather up the cash.”

Lila, in response to Desi asking if there were any questions, finally spoke. “I’m sorry to divert the subject from the money yet again, but it looks like the real question here would be if we want sand or snow.” Lila said matter-of-factly, cocking her head to the side. “I personally would vote for some sun and sand. We don’t have any beaches in Westworth, so taking a trip to the coast sounds like a great thing to me. However, Nicholas’ Italy idea is the best one presented. It covers most of what everyone wants on the class trip, and that way nobody can complain that we didn’t do one thing or the other.” she said, turning to look straight at Desi. “Change my vote to Italy. I’ll probably go to Santorini in the holidays anyway.”

From the other side of the room, Sierra shot Delilah an amused look. “You know what, Delilah? For the first time ever, I’m actually on the same page as you,” she told the tiny brunette, who shot a beaming smile in her direction and clapped her hands like an excited child. Si shook her head with a small smile and turned her icy blue eyes to Desi. “Put my vote on Italy, because, honestly? If it comes to deciding between that or The Alps, you bet your ass my vote’s going to Italy. We already have a shitton of snow here during winter, so why would I put any sort of effort to spend my hard-earned money on going somewhere to do something that can already be done here? I don’t like skiing much, anyway, so there’s that as well.” she added bluntly. “Bottom line? I think Italy’s the way to go to keep everyone happy.”

Location: Homeroom. Still. Christ, this meeting will never end...
Interacting With: Sierra @Dirty Pretty Lies and Desi @Universorum

An idiot.

Yup, that is what Jareth Michael Wells was… no, is. Honestly, what was he even thinking? Somehow, he had let his best bud - his closest friend in the universe - Westworth's own ray of damned sunshine, Remy Delaney, convince him to be Blaze. The fucking Face, that was his downfall. He had crumpled like a pathetic little sucker, just like that. And now, because of this momentary lapse in judgement, this not-so-tiny slip up, now he had to dance around in a furry suit. This was humiliating, embarrassing, unbelievable - all of the above. But it was too late, he couldn't take it back now. Maybe, if Jareth played his cards right, no one would know it was him? Jar cast a wary glance at his exuberant bestie... nope, that wasn’t likely. Remy was definitely going to tell people, he couldn’t help it, talking was in his blood, or something like that.

Jar was staring up at the ceiling tiles, counting the dots, and praying that some god that he didn’t even believe in might show some mercy and smite him right then and there. Well, he wasn’t smote, but Sierra did tear into the classroom like a very-much-welcomed bat out of hell. Si was chill, one of the closest to being a natural born Westworth emo that there was, and if she weren’t so torn up of Jay still, Jar might try to make a move on her. Maybe eventually, if he could get past the fear of ruining a friendship part. Regardless, he returned her fistbump silently, smirking when she lovingly called the group of them ‘fuckers’.

What Jareth wasn’t prepared for was the sudden attack and accusation that he was a jacket thief. Well, she wasn’t wrong there… he was the biggest jacket whore of them all. He knew it, she knew it, everyone knew it; But Westworth gets cold, and he is a very skinny boy! Jar sheepishly smiled in some form of an apology, but didn’t really promise any return of the aforementioned pilfered garments.

The welcomed break from the mundane was once again eclipsed by talk of destinations and fundraising ideas. Sierra suggested a talent show, which Jareth supported wholeheartedly. He loved the stage, he lived for it, even if it was in a shitty little small town school. Someday it would be bigger, hopefully, that was the goal. Christopher Robin brought up the Alps again, which was mildly amusing, especially when Mr. Clarke piped in and shut down the whining with a patronizing ‘you’ll be okay’. Jareth laughed through his nose quietly at that.

Nicholas offered up Italy as a suggestion, as if it were some kind of peace treaty between sand and snow. Jareth didn’t even know what you could do for fun in Italy besides, like… eat pizza? That sounded like it would get boring quick. Apparently, his classmates did not agree, because suddenly Desi was responding to people switching their votes, and adding new tally marks on the board. It was quickly becoming Italy vs. the Alps. Everything else only had one single tally mark, except there were two for Jamaica, Jar assumed this was because of Desi’s own vote. Good, at least someone else had taste, he should have known that he could count on her.

Mariah went on to reiterate that they had no money to go on any trip at all, bringing the whole thing full circle. Well, duh, wasn’t that what this meeting was for? Jesus, Jareth wasn’t a part of the student council, or government, or whatever it was that Remy and Desi were in, so why did he have to sit through a financing meeting? To go on a free or discounted trip, he supposed… but still, if he had to sit through this torture, they should at least go somewhere that he thought was cool.

Jareth turned to Sierra, looking utterly betrayed when she put her vote towards Italy. “Really, Si? Of all people, I thought you would at least back me up on Jamaica.” he tsked in disappointment and sat back in his chair, crossing his arms. “If it’s going to be Italy versus the Alps, I guess I’ll have to go with the Alps. Shredding with CR promises at least one exciting thing to do.” Jareth told Desi before turning his attention back to Sierra. “Looks like I might need to keep your jackets after all, it’ll be cold in the mountains.” he teased quietly and then offered a beaming smile, which was a rarity reserved only for those closest to the emo’s heart.

Interacting With: OMG! My best friend ever~
Lala does talk to Sierra briefly @Dirty Pretty Lies - A lot of mentions of the emo @Silent Observer - Remy talks to the entire class

With a random bag of rolos in her hand, Lorelei leaned back in her seat and munched on her morning chocolate like it was nobody’s business. Seemed like it was a battle between the Alps and Italy now. The pda between Lila and Oliver was eye catching. Best friends or not, that was begging for attention and to be misunderstood. Or was it not a misunderstanding and actually reality? The sight of the two friends being intimately close with one another did get Lala to wonder how affectionate she was with CR in front of everyone. When individuals are around each other for so long, being too close for comfort just became habit. It was still weird to see.

Raising an eyebrow at Sierra’s pleasant comments toward Christopher Robin, Lala responded with a purposefully loud, ”Ha.” If there was one thing that Sierra and Lala had in common, they were two girls that didn’t hold their tongue, no matter how harsh their words came out, ”Can you be any less butthurt? If anyone knows about bitching, that’d be you.” Rather than repay Si with an eyeroll in return, Lorelai crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue. Yeah, she didn’t give two fucks.

Soon after, her mind returned to more important things.

Time to ignore the rest of the class now.

From her seat, Lala took aim, ”Slips, open wide.” This had a huge chance of going terribly wrong, but that’s okay. At least she would grab her friend’s attention while having fun.

Take aim. Fire. The chocolate darted toward the ditzy blonde.

Temperance was busily rubbing her palms against the denim fabric of her jeans, focused intently on her familiar wooden desk. Her train of thought flew ahead like a freight train as her mind tumbled around the words that Jareth Wells had uttered. “Hell yeah.” Remy’s best friend had agreed with her... and did she see him flash a coy smile at her?! Jar looked like the classical emo/scene kid, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t attractive! In fact, the bleakness of his clothing and the boy’s ability to get her dark humor made him quite appealing. With that glance and agreement… could it be that he liked her?!

A thump against her head brought her back down from the clouds. A rolo clattered to the ground, and her green eyes wandered to her friend’s form. “I think I’m going to ask Jar out.” Temperance whispered bluntly to the girl beside her, nothing but astute seriousness laden in her voice.

Not fazed by the sudden comment from her friend, completely use to it by now, since they knew each other since childhood, Lala put a handful of Rolos in her mouth and humorously shook her head in disappointment, ”You could’ve caught that. Now there’s a rolo on the floor… wasted.” Ah, but Temperance's mind was stuck in the clouds. The gloomy, dark rain clouds that was… Jareth. After placing the bag of candy on her desk, she leaned in closer toward her friend, resting her arms on her own legs, and clasping her hands together.

Her brown gaze scanned the fair face that sat before her before her lips curved into a smirk, "Oh, will you?" Her eyes lit with intrigue and anticipation. Intrigue to watch the results of Temperance and Jareth becoming a thing. Anticipation for the inevitable disasters that would occur from said results.

Temperance nodded to her friend, sternly and with purpose. “Deus Vult. I will conquer Jerusalem and slaughter the Saracens. If you know what I mean. The historical reference would surely go over her friend’s head, but c’est la vie.

”Okay nerd. Conquer his D and slaughter your competition. Do it. You won’t. No balls.” Whatever. Lala didn’t understand the reference, but she would take it and make it her own, then egg her friend on who’s never been kissed before to be stupid. Being stupid was fun. Watching dear loved ones be stupid was better. There was far more entertainment in watching stupidity and eating chocolate, all at the same time, than being in a room filled with boring kids that didn’t know how to live. If Temperance wanted to get on Jareth and claim him as her own, to the best of her capabilities since Jareth wasn’t one to commit (or date for that matter), then by all means, she should do it.

“W-Wait, what? I didn’t say I was going to… um… do uh… that with him!” A scarlet flourish zapped onto Temperance’s cheeks. Lala could be so crude sometimes! She didn’t know Jareth well enough to expect a tumble in the hay, but… oh gosh, the thought of it was incredibly hot. Her and him… in a barn… and actual hay… For a second, the blonde spaced out, daydreaming about a snippet of a potential romantic evening with the raven haired boy. “Fine, fine. I’m doing it now. I’m just going to… just do it. And everything is going to be great, and I will not be crying tonight because oh my god I’m so lonely. she half-whispered to herself and her friend. Pulling out a sheet of paper and a pencil, the girl began to write a secret message to the boy of her fancy.

At first, Temperance thought about simply asking him out on paper, but that seemed so… elementary and impersonal. So her words laid out a plain sentence: 'Hey, Jar… Can you meet me before English? -Temperance' It kept the surprise alive, yes, but it also made her more anxious. Oh man, this was going to be awful.

Folding the note into a little paper football, she took aim at Jareth, and flick, it was sent sailing into the air. Unfortunately, the blonde wasn’t known for her accuracy… and her note ended up hitting her soon to be step-brother’s shoulder. That was definitely not the guy she was trying to date. Doom and gloom could only be seen in the horizon now.

Remy was dazed, contemplating if he should choose Italy or Alps. He already knew what he wanted to choose, but he was worried of the backlash that could occur with his choice. Opening his lips to finally give his opinions, he paused when he felt something hit his shoulder. His lips immediately closed shut and his gaze darted toward the paper on the floor. Bending over, he picked it up and glanced around in the room to find the culprit only to see an alarmed look on Temperance's face.

Of course.

Rolling his eyes, he opened the paper to read it and rewarded the paper with narrowed eyes. What does she want with…

Whatever.

This wasn’t any of his business. Maybe. Though, it did annoy him that she went the whole paper route rather than pulling his friend aside. Well, she was a teen. Typical. Annoying. After folding the paper back up, Remy got up from his seat, went to Jareth’s desk, slid the paper on his friend’s desk not so subtly, and then turned to his class, ”Hi. Um… so, I think I’d like to go with…”

Pausing briefly, Remy nervously cleared his throat and then said his peace, ”I... the bigoli I heard is amazing in Italy. And the lampredotto is a must eat in Florence too. The ultimate 'poor kitchen' dish! I could learn a thing or two there…. so, yeah, that’s where my vote goes. Italy Avoiding all his friends’ gazes, especially Jareth’s, Remy scurried back to his seat and contemplated how he’d salvage his history homework before history.

Why would he forget? He always got his homework done. How could he forget that disaster?

His homework was ruined.

And now he voted against not only his closest friends, but his BEST FRIEND. All for his future… heh.

The bell was going to ring soon....

As the votes started to pile up, Ryan liked what he was seeing when it came to the Alps getting the popular vote. He had been in a snowboarding sort of mood lately, and even though their little nook in Colorado saw plenty of snow, it was nothing like carving through the snow in the Alps. It was a hobby over here, but in the Alps it was like a religion over there. As people started to argue for their vote, Ryan zoned out as his role in the conversation was done. All he needed to do was to put his vote in. It wasn’t like he was willing to change his vote or had the desire to change anyone else’s vote. His choice was leading already.

He took a few moments and glanced at Delilah - maybe there was one person he could change after all. Her stupid (and rather cute) attempt at being a drama queen was something that caught his attention. The quarterback rolled his eyes as he saw her react earlier. A lot of people saw her as some diva but Ryan knew that there was something underneath that dramatic shell of hers. They all had something underneath. Ryan then leaned forward and pulled his phone out, making a few swipes before he was on the new message screen. He then pulled up Delilah’s contact.

‘change ur vote to the alps and make it easier on everyone 😊’
Ryan

Delilah, still feeling happy after having the saltiest person in her class agreeing with her for the first time since ever, suddenly heard a buzzing. Her emerald eyes landed on her desk where her phone sat, its screen illuminated with the notification of a new text message. Frowning, she took the device in her hand, and upon unlocking it and glancing at the sender’s number she had to hold back an excited squeal. Prince Charming was texting!

Ever since kindergarten, Lila had harbored a crush for the all-American hunk that was Ryan Townsend: from the moment she had entered school at age five in a cute frilly dress with pigtails, and up to this very day at age sixteen. She’d never acted out on said crush (much less tell him about it, of course), but had instead chosen to admire him from a distance. She’d do nice little things here and there for him, like give him an extra cookie on Valentine’s Day or be his faithful cheerleader on all his football games, but nothing too obvious. However, there was something threatening this perfect fantasy of hers in which Ryan confessed his feelings to her and they lived happily ever after as a happy couple: Madison Nichols.

Why else would Lila dislike the other young woman so strongly, besides her bitchy, entitled attitude? Ryan and Madi had been close, closer than he and Lila had ever been. And Madi, who had caught up on Lila’s secret crush, simply loved to rub their friendship in Lila’s face. But ever since the accident happened, Lila had noticed the two had drifted apart. She was not happy about the tragic event that the Nichols had gone through (why would she be happy about something that harmed her own best friend Oli-Bear so badly?), but she couldn’t deny that this separation of sorts had kind of worked in her favor.

But anyway, the fact that Ryan was texting her and not Madison had to count for something, right? Delilah planned to take full advantage of this.

A small smile appeared on the brunette’s lips as she read Ryan’s text, and she couldn’t help but snort as his weak attempt at getting her to change her vote. Like she would change her vote to do something she wouldn’t want to do in a million years. She typed up a quick reply and tapped send.

‘I’m not changing anything. You can’t tell me what to do. 💁👸😂’
Lila

Then, as an afterthought, she sent another one.

‘YOU change your vote to Italy. Don’t you wanna have some yummy 🍝 and 🍕? 👅’
Lila

After having sent her messages, Lila had discreetly glanced up in Ryan’s direction.

Ryan propped his head up as he listened to more and more debate. Some words coming from Jareth as well, who Ryan swore he had never heard speak before. It was a slight bit of exaggeration, but he and Jar weren’t really that close at all. Still though, it was better than listening to everyone bitching to each other as to why their dumbass caribbean island was better than carving trails in the snow.

Then, his phone vibrated in his pocket, and had “Delilah Duclerc (2)” spread out across the screen. He smiled to himself and unlocked the phone, seeing the two texts that she had sent to him. Since Ryan had gotten his phone, he liked to keep things nice and tidy, which meant that he often deleted message threads. His messages with CR only went back a week, the same went for Desi as well. However, he never deleted the threads with Lila. That went back to the very first text he received from her on his new phone, which was really a while back.

‘why would i want to change it to italy? there’s nothing to do there besides eat and I can do that at home.’
Ryan

Ryan looked up and tried to see if anyone was noticing what he was doing. The relationship between Lila and Ryan was something that could be considered odd considering their history together. Lila had always been strangely particular to Ryan, not like he minded anyway. He just figured that she considered him as a really good friend of sorts, even though they often went a while without talking. There’d be gaps where she’d talk to him non-stop and then send a word a day. It was nice having someone who blew up his phone daily, but at the same time when there was a lull in communications he didn’t mind much since he had things like football to focus on.

It was good having a cheerleader he could depend on though. The school liked to do this thing where they assigned all the cheerleaders to a player, and Lila had been Ryan’s since the first day of the season for both of them. It was great, especially during a victory in front of the home crowd. Nothing made him feel better than having the crowd behind him, but most of all being able to lift Lila up as the school celebrated. LOL

‘change your vote. there’s more to do in the alps than there is in italy. i’ll teach you how to ski and snowboard if you don’t know how and send your butt down a slope’
Ryan

Lila’s heart had done a somersault in her chest when she’d seen him give the phone that breathtaking smile that always made her feel all fuzzy inside. She watched as he typed up a reply, while biting her bottom lip and keeping her phone unlocked and open on the conversation. His new message arrived, and it was yet another request for her to change her vote. Smiling, she gave him a wink and shook her head.

‘no can’t do. I don’t like sports and i don’t like snow, and i refuse to spend my trip on something i a) don’t like and b) can do here at Westworth anyway.’
Delilah

Once done, she tapped Send again. There was no way she was changing her vote to boring old Alps, no matter how much she liked Ryan.

Ryan’s phone buzzed again and Ryan slipped the phone out of his pocket. Looking at it, it was Lila yet again. He smiled to himself as he read the refusal of his proposal. Why didn’t Lila like snow? A little snow never hurt anyone. Even if you were carving it on a thing of wood, it was still fun to go down. He really did want to go on the snow trip though, mostly because of CR.

‘lila pls if u come thru i’ll make ur hot chocolate or cocoa or whatever girls like nowadays

if u don’t like sports tho… then y do u watch my games?? 👀
you can eat and look at water here too wtf’
Ryan

Ryan then tried to think of a way he could sweeten the deal for Lila. If Lila changed her vote, then maybe, maybe they’d win.

’i’ll let u wear my jacket if it gets too cold ;)’
Ryan

’pls’
*insert meme here*
Ryan

Lila’s phone buzzed in her hand a few times, all incoming messages from Ryan. In the first one, he begs for her to change her vote (‘Not gonna happen, Ryan, not gonna happen.’), questions her watching his games if she dislikes sports (her cheeks flared up a little at this: that would be awkward to explain) and again says she can do the same stuff in Italy that she would do here (WRONG!). The second message was a feeble attempt at bribing her, and the third one was a meme that caused her to hold back some giggles. She wasted no time in firing back.

‘A) My mom makes a great hot cocoa, so I don’t need you to 😛
B) I watch your games to support the team, obvs!
C) We have no coast in Westworth.
D) You don’t need any jackets at THE BEACH 🙌👙🌊🏄
E) Memes will not change my mind. Accept your defeat. 💁’
Delilah

Ryan saw his phone light up and smiled again as Lila replied. ”Fuckin’ Lila…” And read her rather odd way of responding. It wasn’t like this was a multiple choice question or something like that. He rolled his eyes and began tapping away. He decided to give up anyway. It wasn’t like Italy was going to win.

’your mom isn’t coming with us tho 👀’
Ryan

’riiiiiiiiight, and i watched women’s volleyball in the olympics for the volleyball’
Ryan

’we have a pool. water is water.
Ryan

’accept defeat? my vote is winning idk about yours lmao
Ryan

Ryan put his phone down momentarily before taking it back in his hands.

’you should meet up with me during lunch, maybe /then/ i can convince you 👀😏
Ryan

Lila’s phone lit up to a series of messages from Ryan. ‘Why does he have to answer in multiple messages?’ the tiny brunette asked herself. People that sent multiple messages when they can send everything in just one annoyed her. But just when she was about to furiously reply to the avalanche of texts, Remy announced that his vote was going to Italy, and not the Alps. She let out a small, excited squeal at realizing that Italy was on the lead, and again clapped her hands together. She quickly typed a reply.

‘You were saying…? Italy’s in the lead. 🙌🎉🎈🎊
But yeah, i’ll meet up with you at lunch, so you can help me pick which bikinis i’ll take for those ITALY BEACHESSSSS!!! 🙌👙🌊🏄😌😉😘
Delilah

She might have got a bit overboard with the emojis, but the victory of going to Italy on the class trip was closer now, and she HAD to celebrate that!

The phone vibrated in Ryan’s hand again, the dim screen flashing at him as he looked at the message. He was attacked by the flood of yellow, before actually reading the message itself. He smirked at the thought of seeing Lila in a bikini. Lila might’ve been someone he’d known since kindergarten, but bikinis were bikinis.

’bikinis? sounds good to me 😏’
Ryan

Ryan sent the message off and put his phone away as he looked up and saw the homeroom teacher shoot him a rather piercing look. He smiled sheepishly as he played off whatever he was doing.
