I've wanted to do this for a while. A roleplay based on the Disney Channel Original Movie, the Descendants, and also the short animated series Wicked World will be taken into account.
The rp will pick up sometime after the movie. {Movie is set in modern day.}

Mal (Played by me)
Daughter of Maleficent.
Mal is a sneaky, smart, and ruthless girl who is a natural leader and pretty good at drawing. Though she is compassionate to a degree she is also vengeful and doesn't forgive others easily. She is artistic and has a knack for casting spells, but only if needed. She also tends to be overly-sarcastic and, according to Wicked World, has a strange love of mud.

Evie (Open)
Daughter of the Evil Queen
Evie is smart, flirty, and very kind in the long run. Unlike most of the villain kids, she is very pleasant, to the point that she was able to make the most sour villains smile with her laughter. But don't let her charm fool you, Evie is loyal and authoritative when she wants to be. Due to her mother's insistence that being beautiful is all that matters, she has problems with her own vanity and is sensitive to how others view her; her biggest fear was her not ending up being the fairest of all.

Jay (Open)
Son of Jafar
He has a penchant for stealing things, which kept him busy at home on the Isle of the Lost. In Auradon, he puts his athleticism to good use as a star player on the tourney team. Jay is a sneaky, confident, and handsome guy. Jay was raised to believe that he must get everything and to forget others as well. He's vengeful like Mal and he's athletic.He's shown to have kleptomaniac tendencies, as he often steals objects on the fly. He can also be a flirt.

Carlos (Open)
Son of Cruella DeVil
Carlos is jumpy and anxious, but with the skills of a true tech prodigy. He’s been working feverishly on a project that would connect the Isle of the Lost to the outside world. Although he inherited his mother's love of fashion (especially if it's in black-and-white), he didn't inherit Cruella's love of dogs ― on the contrary, Carlos is deathly afraid of dogs (though it turns out this is because his mother told him dogs were rabid vicious animals that attack little boys who don't behave). He is also a Tech genius.

Jane (Open)
Daughter of the Fairy Godmother
Taught to never stray from goodness, she is fearful of the villain kids and particularly wary of their forbidden magic, but a special spell from Mal changes her outlook.She is shy and rather demure, often following Audrey's commands and being immediately fearful of the VKs. Because she can't use magic (initially in the film) she wants to live up to her mother's name and even tried to take her wand to learn to use magic. She dislikes being punished and enjoys looking pretty. She was shown to severely lack self confidence, as shown by her desperation to look good and be accepted by others (to the point of insulting Mal). She eventually grows to become friends with the VKs. She has slowly learned it is not about how a person looks as much as what they are inside.

Audrey (Open)
Daughter of Sleeping Beauty (Aurora)
Naturally royal and extremely confident, she is the ex-girlfriend of Ben and the cheer-leading captain at Auradon Prep with a knack for fashion. She is also known to have been the most popular princess in school, before Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay arrived. She is an extremely vain girl who tends to over-worry and believes herself to be the most beautiful and when Mal gave other girls makeovers, she didn't like it not simply because she believed Mal was up to something but because she didn't want everyone else looking good because that would mean she wasn't the prettiest.

Lonnie (Open)
Daughter of Mulan
Lonnie wants to be cool as she was the second person (the first was Jane) to ask Mal to use a spell on her hair to make her cooler. It's shown that Mulan and Shang are well off as Lonnie has no qualms about giving Mal $50 for a makeover. Lonnie is also shown as curious of the villains and under the assumption that their lifestyles aren't too different from her own. She's shown as kind and empathetic as she cries when she learns the villains may not love their kids. She enjoys hip hop dancing, kickboxing and Martial arts.

Ben (Open)
Son of Belle and Adam (Beauty and the Beast)
Sweet natured, and kind. Overall, he is a kind compassionate intelligent person willing to give anyone and everyone a chance. He also tends to be a bit naive at times. And he is a bit of a goody two shoes. And despite his age, 16, he is the King of Auradon. He was immediaetly able to and continues to see Mal's inner goodness.

Chad (Open)
Son of Cinderella and Prince Charming
He’s an all-star player on the school’s tourney team (the prep school’s choice sport), and uses his charm and good looks to try and get what he wants. He comes across as an arrogant jerk. And seems to be very spoiled.
Best friend: Ben Girlfriend: TBD (I feel as though he's a heartbreaker)

Doug (Open)
Son of Dopey
Doug is a smart, sweet, yet socially awkward young man. He enjoys chemistry, saying it's almost like magic. Even though knowing his family's past with the Evil Queen, Doug had been enchanted by Evie (the Evil Queen's daughter) practically at first sight, and even went out of his way to help her when she was being scolded and threatened by a teacher who accused her of cheating. Doug also has a passion for music; is a member of his school's marching band.

Background: Raised by his parents, he mostly remained at home, until he started sneaking out to meet people. He never really saw the outside world aside from those nights. It kept getting worse and worse, until finally, his parents allowed him to go to Auradon prep. He packed his bags immediately and set off. He immediately hit it off with many of the students, and he didn't regret coming.

Girlfriend: None, as of yet.

Personality: Slightly goth and morbid, but mostly friendly.

Other: Same powers as his parents. Has a shrinkable version of Jack's staff.

Hmm... potentially interested. While I gave up on watching the movie halfway through, I've always been a fan of disney and all of the stories they used. I would have liked to be the Evil Queen's child, maybe even to flesh out the character of their mother and potential father, but I'm unsure whether I should what with her being pre-made. Is there a reason you've done that with some of the characters? Also, how are people supposed to roleplay side-characters in the background? It sort of negates the whole reason of making a character.

Either way, if I were to use Evie, how much creative license would I have to work around what you've already put? I don't disagree with her personality, it is very similar to what I would have put myself anyway.

@Peridot The descriptions of the main characters are mostly from the wiki. And as of my story, I have a fleshed out idea of who the other parent is for some of the kids. For Evie's father, I automatically thought of the Huntsman. And for creative license, I wouldn't mind some, as long as she is isn't being played too OOC. It's all good. What creative licenses would you take?

Huntsman may be a potential father; I suppose it depends on how much free reign I have. As this roleplay is only inspired by the movie The Descendents, I assume it's in a seperate universe with it's own plotline to it? Also, I wouldn't have to write Evie as exactly like her inspired character from the movie, with the same faceclaim and whatnot? As for "being played too OOC"... what do you mean by that?

@Peridot The rp will most likely be a continuation of the movie, but I will also make reference to the animated short series Wicked World. And as for OOC, I mean "out of character", for example: Evie is kind and Mal is her BFF, so she isn't gonna start a vicious prank war with Mal. But a "Your Mama" battle is likely. LOL.

@DriveEMOut Something that totally slipped my mind earlier. Jack Frost (Rise of Guardians) is Dreamworks not Disney. However the idea of Jack Frost is not exclusive to Dreamworks. It's public domain. But Jack Frost as he appears in Rise of the Guardians is owned by Dreamworks. Does that make sense?

Personality:
Despite the furiosity of Mel's anger, she is quite nice. Her Father see's this more as naivety than niceness, hence why he never let her get out much. What with dreaming of going out and saving the day like heroes of old, Mel has a great sense of bravado and selflessness most of the time - this also means she doesn't always think things through before launching in to save the day... what with having spent so little time in the real world, sometimes she has a hard time deciding when danger is afoot. On top of this, she's very generous. What with her Dad being the God of the treasures of the Earth, Mel has no shortage of sparkly jewels and gold coins to pay for things - she would be more than happy to share the wealth of the Underworld with anyone who needs it. This can sometimes be used too much, as Mel would like to make a good first impression, despite the stigma of who her father is and where she was born, so she can sometimes feel self-conscious as to what other people think of her. In the Underworld, she never heard insults. The spirits, beasts, and denizens that lived there scraped and bowed to her, following her every whim barring being allowed outside too many times. As such, Mel's feelings may be hurt quite easily... which is when one is to avoid her firey temper.

Backstory:
Mel spent most of her life lazing in the Underworld, bored out of her mind and constantly dreaming of escaping her boring life. For a Demi-God, she had a distinct lack of things to do. Rather than being allowed out to slay monsters and complete quests like a real Demi-God, her father was too worried to let her go. What with how fickle the Gods could be when it came to extended family - particularly half-mortals - he preferred to keep her in his realm as much as possible, teaching her of how to correctly use her powers and how the Underworld worked. Despite this, the pair had a decent enough relationship, when their temper's were kept in check. However, Mel's temper was flaring up more and more as she went through her teenage years, things only made worse when she saw other kids being allowed to visit Aurodon. After several temper tantrums and burnt-to-a-crisp rooms, Hades allowed Mel to leave and go to the prep school - it seemed a safe enough place anyway, and he'd finally realised she could use some time away from the darkness of his realm. Her only real friend down here was the family dog, and that was problematic to say the least.

Boyfriend/Girlfriend:
Not as of yet, she's a new arrival.

Powers:
Like any Demi-God, she has enhanced strength, speed, and durability. When losing her temper, her hair flares up into flames just like her Dad's... when it get's really bad, it would be wise to vacate the premises and have a fire extinguisher ready. However, she is hoping to keep it in check, along with dealing with her other powers. When the dead and spirits realise that she can see and hear them, they never stop pestering her for favours. Would it creep the others out if they knew she could converse with the dead? But zombies always bring a party to life!

Other:
She's pretty sure Pain and Panic keep popping up to keep an eye on her; which is extremely annoying. A shame their disguises are so good.

Additionally, her father let her take Cerberus with her, albeit a much smaller version of Cerberus. Using some complicated magic, Hades shrunk the family dog down to a more manageable size so he could journey with Mel; she was over the moon, considering how many of her favourite heroes in the story books had animal companions. Cerberus was less amused at his new form, what with being the size of a labrador now. However, he's retained most of his otherwordly powers; he may have lost his size, but he can still pack a punch. Also, 3 heads means 3 sets of teeth to worry about.

backstory:
Aggi was born mortal. Aggis parents both died when she was very young. She grew up with her grandparents in the kingdom of Calydon where she was to become the new queen. When the vicious Boar sent by Goddess Hera terrorized the town, her grandparents felt it was best for Aggi to flee. They sent her away on Pegasus to Hercules's most trusted friend Phil (Philoctetes). Soon after Hera killed Aggis grandparents because of their part in her getaway. Hera has been out to kill Aggi since she was born, Hera has killed all of Hercules's offspring and Aggi is the last of them. At the time Phil was exiled to the island of Lemnos where he trained Aggi as he did her father. She got extremely weary of the isolated island life. She was ready to go back into society and face Hera even though Phil begged her not to. Phil could not stop her, her mind was made up and so he prayed to the gods. Zeus heard Phil's cry for help and confronted Aggi. Zeus tried to reason with his granddaughter but she was stubborn like her mother. Zeus decided that if Aggi was to go back into society she was to have powers to defend herself against Hera and she was to go to boarding school.

Hercules ends up with Megara at the end of disney film. and disney would likely throw the ugly side of greek myths out the window. considering that they changed a lot of the myth around to make it more kid friendly. I do like your idea. also there is a son of Hercules and Megara, mentioned in the extended cannon. His name is Herkie. He appears in chapter 2 of the book Return to the isle of the lost.
However Herkie will probably not be mentioned in the rp at all.

Oh, I'm glad you do! I was wondering if she was too over-powered, but I suppose a lot of the other kids have powerful magic too.
Also... I do hope I'm not over-stepping my bounds, but I couldn't help but notice that @Therealsoysauce's character backstory seems to have an accurate portrayal of Hera - but not in terms of Disney. In the Disney movie she was the biological mother of Hercules, and she was sweet, mild, and loved him very much. In this backstory, she seems to be more like the bitchy, hating-on-Hercules Hera we all know and love from the actual Greek myths. If this is the case, will I be able to change Hades to as he was in the original myths? Because he definitely wouldn't be a villain then.
