The Galactic Republic is dominant. It forms a union across the galaxy. The Jedi Order sit at its helm, helping to govern and protect the systems within the Republic's jurisdiction. The Sith remain in hiding, the legendary 'Darth Plagueis' presumed dead, his existence unknown by most common folk. Despite the occasional appearance of rogue Jedi, rebel uprisings and other minor threats, the Republic has managed to keep a tight hold on it's territories over the past few decades.
Despite the current prosperity and peace of the Galactic Republic, a time of uncertainty has arisen. Rumours have arisen that the Hutt Cartels have grey Jedi under their influence, and that they plan to cause more trouble for the Republic in the close future. Grand Master Yoda, feeling a great disturbance in the force, has ordered a small unit of Jedi, including a young Mace Windu, to investigate Chaska the Hutt, a crimelord who has alleged ties with rogue force-users.
In what may first appear to be a minor skirmish, great trouble may be afoot for the young Jedi, and whatever companions they may encounter along the way.
Basically, my idea behind this is a small group of Jedi are involved in a minor (non-canon, of course) war some 20 years prior to Episode 1. Your character would most likely be a young Jedi (almost all of them being Original Characters, although you may inquire with me if you wish to play a canon character) or a mercenary, soldier or another character of your preference who has some sort of incentive to take down Chaska's cartel. I shall play the role of a 21 year old padawan Mace Windu. The RP would consist of a lot of character development, action and conversation. The story development would most likely be fairly slow as I feel a rushed story ruins good character development.
