Hey, all!
So, I'm currently doing this plot with a few people 1x1, but it works so much better with a small/large group, and it's been so long since I've done a group roleplay. I'll be honest, I'm pretty new here and don't really know the community's preferences as a whole. If I do something odd, ask and I'll explain.

A few things before you read the prompt:
-Feel free to make multiple characters. As many as you feel confident with keeping up with.
-Be active. (Excuse the hypocritical rule. I know I've been ~mysteriously absent~ the last few days due to midterms, but I'm about to be back in the swing of things. I don't want people to join and then vanish.)
-If you do join and then vanish... We'll figure it out. But don't do it. Please.
-Two+ paragraphs. I chose advanced for a reason, I want to build a story that doesn't involve awkward one-liners.
-Again, full honesty. Sometimes I get excited and don't proof read. I might make some grammatical errors every now and then, or mix up character's names. It happens, please don't be a jerk to me or anyone else in the group. I'll return the favor.
-Again, I get excited. OOC conversations will probably happen, 95% of the time about the role play. You don't have to participate but if that stuff bothers you... Probably dunk out now.
-Just ask if you have any questions. Make suggestions without hesitation.

Alright. Here's that plot.

Spring Break. The group of friends had been waiting almost all of their high-school career for this very moment. This was their last break together, and, to make is special, they were all going up state, planning to camp near the lake. They packed their things, piled into the mini van, and drove for hours to reach their destination.
The first hint that something was off was the lack of other campers. It was Spring Break, after all, but the grounds seemed almost deserted other than a couple hikers and fishers. The friends shrugged it off, though, and pitched camp. To kick the week off, they planned to go swimming at night, and then dry off at the bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Or, at least, they would have. Once in the water, one of them is dunked under as a joke- Only, they don't come back up. Distraught, the others dive in to try and locate their missing friend, only to find themselves being pulled down by currents that seem like fingers wrapping around their ankles. They struggle, but, before long, they black out.
The friends should have been dead. However, they wake up on the bank of a lake, but not the one they were camping at. Confused, the group learns that they've been transported to a mythical place that, according to everything they knew, shouldn't have existed. The Hollow. The Hollow, as they learned, was home to all the creatures of legends and fairy tails, and even ones that they hadn't heard of before. The strange world was a safe haven for those hunted to extinction in the worlds they originated from. However, at the time the friends showed up, the Hollow was under attack by something else. The things of nightmares, the creatures that were used to scare small children into behaving, only real, and much, much more deadly. Demons, as the creatures of the Hollow called them. Demons that were destroying their world, and everything they had created.
Of course, the group of friends have no idea how any of this relates to them. They just want to get home, but, apparently, that's not possible. Not without speaking to the queen of the Hollow, anyways. So, in desperation, the travel to the heart of the Hollow, meeting many strange beings on their way. That's the least of their worries, though. The queen informs them that she can't let them go home. Not during the war, because the portals between their realms are unsteady, and the friends could end up in some much more.. Unkind places, as she puts it. However, she does have an idea of how they can get home. A prophecy that was wrote long ago states that comers from a different land would save them in a time of need. She isn't quite sure that some thin-limb-ed humans can win a war, but she's willing to try. And, in return for their help, she'll grant them passage home. The friends, wanting only to leave, agree. The queen assigns a few of her best warriors to train them, and escort them to the battle field, where the friends will find that there was one part of the prophecy they weren't informed of- Some of them wouldn't be returning home.

---

Now, onto a bit of guidelines for the characters. Basically, you can have spring breakers, or a character(s) that live IN the Hollow, although they won't be coming in right off the bat. This works best if there's a good variety of characters.
*Note that spring breakers are meant to be high school seniors, anywhere from 17 to 19.
**Also note that if you make a character from the Hollow, they can be literally ANYTHING. The queen is an elf, but that is NOT the only race/species that inhabits that world.

Basic skeleton:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Physical Appearance:
Other:

(Pretty basic. Feel free to customize it, just please use a skeleton of some sort. I don't care what it looks like. Feel absolutely free to use face claims, realistic or not.)

I'm going to check this tomorrow, so if anyone has any questions or would like to join, go ahead!

And here are some CS's!

I also have a few questions. Will the story be starting after meeting the queen, or at the camp before the campers discover the Hollow? Is this going to be the traditional sort of fae world where promises and true names have potent meaning, or something closer to the human world where the only difference is the presence of fae and magic? Does time pass the same way for the Hollow and the human world, or is it slower in one? Just stuff like that.
