Shannon - Streets of New Orleans - Daniel

She considered this. "That's assuming they'll still be there"

Shannon grabbed the dashboard as the truck slammed over a bump in the road. Her hair fell into her face and Shannon threw back her head in an attempt to compose herself. She would need to start tying her hair back again. "But it doesn't matter, I'm here to watch your back, okay?" She looked across the seat, staring Daniel down. Her face was determined despite her nagging feelings of doubt. She could still recall the men who had fired at her earlier today. The giant one especially; The man and his huge lumberjack arms cradling a shotgun. The thought gave her shivers.

Lynn - Railroad Tracks - Emma

Lynn was pleasantly surprised when motorcycle man took off with Jess to get her to safety. She was torn between being grateful he had gotten her out of there and pissed that he and Jess were alone together. What if he decided to leave her behind, or worse?
Then she was approached by some random chick. She wanted to help Jess?
"Well that's just peachy," Lynn told her. "But let's see if we can survive the next few minutes." she cocked her gun and started shooting at the walkers heading their way.

There were so many she had trouble keeping track of them. Some were faster then others, some were crawling along the ground. A couple came from another direction and were on top of them before she knew it. As one came after her she jumped back and dodged, just missing the walker's arm.
Unfortunately the doc was not so lucky. He tried to dodge one way and was grabbed by the ankles by a crawling walker. He screamed and Lynn aimed at the walker's head but her bullet hit it's skull the moment it sank it's teeth into the doctor's skin.
"Damn it!" Lynn shouted and put a bullet in his head. "Sorry doc," she said.

The next instant she heard gun shots close by.
"Oh shit!" she shouted and looked over at the girl. "Look, I need you to take off. Some really bad people are on their way here. Get to Jess and keep her safe. I'm trusting you here and that doesn't come easily to me. Don't make me regret it."
She gave the girl a shove down the tracks. "I mean it. Get out of here now and don't let them see you. Trust me, you'll wish for death if they catch you."

Once she was satisfied the girl was gone Lynn had her knife in one hand and her gun in the other. The group she had guessed was behind the gunshots appeared. They made quick work of the walkers.
They noticed her and started laughing. "Oh man! Lynn?! Guys it's Lynn!"
Brad, right hand man to Satan, smiled. "We've been looking for you Lynn. Tyler's real anxious to see you."
"I'll bet the SOB is. Too bad I'll have to disappoint him," Lynn said and aimed below Brad's belt buckle. "Now get lost before I change you from a rooster to a hen. And you know I can do it."
He laughed. "Typical Lynn. See now this is why you belonged with us. Why did you have to go and run off? Just about broke Tyler's heart. But he'll be so happy to see you again. He's been looking forward to punishing you for betraying him."
"Come and get me," Lynn dared and started shooting.

Of course there was no way she stood a chance against the whole group of them, but she did manage to put several bullets in them, break two noses and four fingers, bite one ear til it was bleeding and give Brad some vicious scratches that she prayed got infected. The butt of a gun against her temple put her lights out.
Jessalyn - woods - Floyd

Jess sniffled at his words. They were meant to be kind, but were still gruff and harsh.
She didn't want food. She wanted comfort.
A kick against her stomach seemed to indicate that her baby agreed with her.

Sitting up, she scooted over to him slowly. Please don't push me away, she begged inwardly before asking the one question that was burning in her mind.

"Why do you hate me?" she asked, her voice small and helpless. "I'm sorry I'm a bother, but could you please stop hating me? Or at least pretend like you don't? I feel so alone. Lynn is my best friend and protector, but she never hugs me or jokes and laughs with me. She's too busy keeping us safe."
She took a deep breath and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I just wish... I wish..." she sighed. "I don't even know what I wish for."

Emma Crowe - Rail Road Tracks - Lynn/Raiders

Emma ran as fast as she could with her limp; but that was not all that impressive. She stopped as she was a ways down the road from the tracks. She watched as the woman opened fire on the bandits and took cover. Dang it, Emma! She yelled at herself. She made sure the revolver was loaded, turned and ran back towards the woman. She was too late as the men swarmed her and knocked her out. She cursed silently and pulled the trigger thrice, firing a sloppily aimed barrage of rounds.

You're an idiot, Emma Jane Crowe! Despite her snarling conscience, she came up close to the men, fired a shot, and pulled her knife from her belt. She felt the walkie slip from her waistband as she lunged towards one of the men.

Floyd - Into Darkness - Jessalyn

Floyd just watched as the girl started to approach him. It seemed she was frightened by him, as if he were a beast she was slowly approaching just for games. Then suddenly, she sat next to him, about a foot apart between their arms. Floyd didn't speak at all, he just stared at her as she continued to move in. Then she added words to her movements, asking the reason for his treatment towards her. She rambled about her feelings and how the world around her seemed to be limiting her or some shit.

Then it happened, she was so close to Floyd that her head came in contact with his shoulder. Her words roamed his mind as he felt her agony, agony that angered him. Floyd's conscious involuntarily used anger to block out other emotions that it did not comprehend. Floyd's entire life had been filled with nothing but agony, so this little interaction, this 'love' as this girl would call it, was bullshit. She didn't respect him, she was merely using him like she did that other guy. She gave him sex for protection, and now it seemed she was about to do the same with Floyd.

Without further ado, Floyd jumped as her head had laid there long enough. He busted into a stance as he looked at her with brows contracted with rage. "Is that what you think of me? HuH? I saved ya damn life back there! I come here and give you a damn blanket and my food!" he yelled. His voice echoing through the woods. The darkness had finally upraised. They were surrounded by complete and utter darkness, nothing in sight. "And here you are askin' me why I hate you?" He then rushed forward to the bowl of food he gave her and tossed it forcefully against a tree. "You don't know nuthin' girl! You sit out here talkin' bout how rough you've got it, how alone you feel! I've never had friends! I never had someone take care of me like your friend Lynn! Nobody gave me nuthin', I faced the world on my own god dammit! I sure as hell never fucked someone cuz I felt alone! You don't shit about being alone!" he growled as he walked side to side gasping for air.

He looked at the pitch black trees for a second as he regained his breath. He shoulders swayed up and down along with his torso. He then fell to the ground from exhaustion and vexation. His mind was clouded from the events that just barely unfolded. This girl did not understand the new world they lived in. She still felt like there was trustworthy people out there, but failed to notice how everyone changed after the virus spread. Nobody is who they were anymore and those that are - die. She was blind and Floyd could not comprehend. How could somebody continue to be who they are after what's happened? It just didn't make sense, yet this girl, Jessalyn, was an exception. She still breathed and was about to bare child yet she didn't change her ways, why?

But suddenly, that thought was laid to rest when sudden moans could be heard nearby their camp. Floyd quickly regained his balance and ran towards his bow, at the same time, picking up the girl by the arm, even if she pushed him away. Out of the darkness came two walkers lingered out, all running into the cans he set up earlier, tripping over the small string, yet still getting back up and reaching the two. "Follow the marked trees back to the railroad and stay there till I find you! GO!" Floyd commanded, pushing Jessayln towards the first marked trees. The events unfolded so quickly that he wasn't prepared for it, it was so unexpected. In addition to the three walkers that initially jumped from the dark, another four joined them. There wasn't even a second to think, only react. Floyd armed his bow and shot one of the walkers in the head, but did not have time to re-arm it once more. Without hesitation, he twisted his torso, taking his bow like a bat, and as he twisted, smashed the walkers brain, shattering through the skull, but eventually breaking his bow in two. That left five more walkers, or so he thought. It seemed that through that battle, more walkers had entered the arena, more than imagined. He could no longer keep count, so started to run to the left, away from the tracks, screaming and taunting the walkers as he sprinted. This was to have these parasites follow him instead of heading back to the tracks. But one can only run for so long, the walkers, forever. Ironically, the one alone was once again Floyd, into darkness.

Brandon - The Cabin - Julia, Alexander, and Quinn (NPCs) - Nearby the Camp

Brandon moved the chair to the front door and the bookshelf to the back and he was tried and said, "Someone has to stay up for guard shift.". Julia fell asleep as she lay on the bed, only him, Alexander, and Quinn were up and Alexander said he would and then Quinn would switch later on. Brandon smiled as he walked to another bed and lay down and went to sleep, he felt safe for the first time since the outbreak began.

Brandon walked out of his house, the only person in the house, he didn't have to say goodbye to everyone. He walked to his job within the city and saw something odd, a man eating another man. An officer pulled out his gun and told to stop, but the man turned to him and walked towards, the officer fired a shot within the busy downtown area. The officer kept saying stop, but the man wouldn't stop and jumped him and ate him, the officer screamed as other citizens ran to his aid. A woman hit him with his briefcase, but the man grabbed his arm and bite into it, she cried as she held the bite mark and ran away. The other citizens saw that and chaos started, they were running into the streets and cars didn't care about them and ran them over.

Brandon and his co-workers were in shock as they saw this happening in a window and some left work in order to go home. His boss came in and said to get out of here and Brandon followed the boss and told him that he walked home, the boss said, "I'll give you a ride, alright.". They got on an elevation, but saw it was too full and decided to take the stairs in stand alone with a few more co-workers. Some co-workers said that people are going crazy and others were saying that terrorism were behind the attacks, but Brandon didn't care. Everyone got onto the first level and it looked like a bloodbath as they opened the door, a man threw up as he saw the blood, the people looked at them odd and walked towards them. Brandon and the other stool there, confused and sicken, as they came towards them and they realized they were the undead. A woman ran pass with heels on and fell to the ground as she screamed her husband's name, she didn't make it. The husband started to cry as he ran pass her body, being eaten and her arm was gone by the time they got out of the building. Everyone just ran away, so ran to the officers other ran to their cars or buses. But Brandon and his boss ran to his car and entered it and drove away from the downtown. Brandon said, "What is going on?" and the boss said, "I don't know, but It'll be over in a day." and Brandon asked him something else, "I never knew your name, mine is Brandon.". The boss smiled and said, "It's Alexander." and saw an incoming car, hitting the side of the car.

Brandon woke up and looked around and realized it was daytime, another day in this world.

Brad - Railroad Tracks - Lynn, Emma, and Raiders

He finally had Lynn, but he still wanted Jessalyn. But she was nowhere to be found, so he knocked her out in hopes of being her to the hideout and asked the question. Then she saw another woman, firing a shot into a guy then pulled out a knife from her belt. Brad saw her and laughed as he pulled out his knife and said, "You want to be like Lynn? If you don't, then you go. I don't need you, miss." and he stepped back as was ready to attack her. Then she got on one of the raiders' back and he screamed as the other proceed to get her off of him, but Brad saw a walkie fell out her belt and walked towards it. The guy, that she was on his back moved away from the walkie and fell to the ground as the others started to attack her. Brad said to the woman, "Who are you, miss? I like your style, useful to the group." he held the walkie and the knife in his hands. He then said to the raiders, "Get her gun and knife, now!".

Emma Crowe - Train Tracks - Brad, Lynn, and Raiders
(Just for future reference, Emma's a 14 year old girl, not a woman :P)

Emma was easily subdued; she never stood much of a chance against the men. She didn't know what she had been thinking; trying to help the woman. She was going to learn her lesson now... She let out a scream as they pinned her down, and he writhed to break free. She was trapped, and she was never going to get out of this one... and she had a feeling that these men weren't friends...

Jessalyn - woods - Floyd

His anger was totally unexpected. She cowered as he started to yell at her, whimpered when he threw the food against a tree. She didn't know what she had to make him so angry but she wished he would stop.
His words hurt more then anything. She almost wished he had slapped her then say the things he said.
Was that what he thought of her? That she had... done that with a man because she felt lonely? She hadn't. She had been forced to in order to be safe. And now she carried proof of what had been demanded of her in order to survive.

Did he think she was trying to... with him?
Her face went white at the thought. Tears built in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks. Was this what he thought of her? He didn't even know her.

Then more yelling. Walkers appeared. He pulled her up roughly and she winced as he fingers left a bruise on her arm. She nodded shakily when he ordered her back to the tracks and hurried away as quickly and as quietly as she could.

She wrapped her arms around herself and let herself cry silently. Men were so harsh and violent. Why couldn't she just find one that would be kind? She longed for the kind of man she had read about in books, before the outbreak. One who would always be there. Reliable, strong, sturdy, good character, tough but gentle with her.

Jessalyn - Railroad Tracks - alone for now

Jess arrived at the tracks still crying a little. She wiped her face and sat down to wait for Floyd. She would just have to stay quiet from now on. It seemed that he talking made him angry.

Brad - Railroad Tracks - Lynn, Emma, and Raiders

Brad saw the girl, as the guys pinned her and he laughed and said, "Well, you have to come with us. Boss would like you, very well.". He shouted for someone to knock her out and a guy punched her until she passed out. Brad overlooked both of the bodies and said, "Take them to the hideout and show Tyler. But I want to do something to Lynn first.". He got the girl's knife and cut one of Lynn's clothes and placed it on the ground. He used the knife and stabbed it at the clothes and smiled as he walked away from the railroad tracks and back to the hideout with the bodies, Tyler was going to be happy. He then arrived at the hideout with the bodies and shouted, "We are back!!" and Tyler walked towards Brad and smiled, but then looked at the bodies and shouted, "Where is she?!". Brad said that he didn't know and Tyler then saw Lynn and smiled, "Is it really her?!" and Brad said yeah, and he smiled again and said, "Put them inside and tie them up. I don't want her to escape.".

Aleck ~ Tracking Emma

Aleck hadn't picked up well on the yelling, he had heard it but it had been a whisper, what had not been a whisper were the gunshots and those shots belonged to the gun he had given Emma. He ran back towards the sounds, he had deduced her location and had taken care not to be seen, he hadn't gotten all that far from the group and managed to find Emma as she was being knocked unconscious.

He had wanted to right then and there pull out the rifle and gun down the group but he knew he didn't stand a chance against so many, not if he wanted to keep Emma alive during the gun fighting that is. So instead he watched on as the group grabbed Emma and another woman and took them away. He followed behind keeping out of sight. He brought out the walkie talkie as he dodged the sight of the raiders and noted that the directional tracker kept itself pointed at Emma, she must still have it with her! And if so then she would be near it when they would take it from her later at wherever it is that they were taking her.

He tracked her with greater ease now that he knew he could track her without having to see her. Being freed of visual tracking he started getting his gear ready, he wanted to make a bang when he got there, get in get out, everyone but him and Emma hopefully get hurt.

Floyd - Pilot?

And it continued, along with his worn out knees, the darkness continued. Floyd raced through it though, facing it as if it were eternal. Not even his keen eyes could see through this shaded inferno, it seemed there was truly no end. He had battled against some of natures deformities, like needled branches and sharp rocks, cutting his legs and bare arms as he continued to burst through these woodlands. One couldn't decipher a tree from a walker or vice versa. There is no blooming sight in the pits of hell, but only eternal blindness. That was a quote his one benefactor had shared with him way before the apocalypse began. Since Floyd never argued the verdict of going to hell, the guy never did anything to prevent it. He'd done more bad things in his prime than he'd remember. But everything he did, right or wrong, was in order to ensure his survival. He didn't have regrets, not before, not now. So he continued to run, feeling the anxiety and his alienation by society. These walkers behind him were people before the virus spread. These people were the reason for his way of life, for his resentment and rage, for all his sin and misfortune, for the hatred shown towards him and his family.

It all started with his mother and her unfortunate decision. Floyd was who knows how old, but young. His mother and father would fight all the damn time, money this, money that. The farm needs upgrading, the farm needs to get burned down. It was like the bickering of an angel and a demon, or maybe, just two demons. One night, Floyd's mother never returned from her 'afternoon duties' as the father would call it. She was in charge of buying the groceries and food for the animals. They lived in a trailer, the farm was owned by Floyd's grandfather, who at the moment was very sick and needed help from his son - Floyd's father. Anyhow, that night, Floyd's mother never came home, not until the next morning where she was missing both the groceries and the money that was given to her in order to purchase them. "Where the fuck is the food woman?!" the father would yell. He looked like a walker at times, spit coming out his mouth like a tempest. And his eyes were always red, like a damn demon. Floyd always thought his father was possessed by Satan and wondered if he was a demon himself. The mother explained that she'd been robbed, that someone took her money and she tried to follow them so he wouldn't get mad at her. The alibi was bogus, it was obvious she had been sleeping with another person, she smelled like fancy cologne, like tidy whitie, self ejaculating, businessman cologne. Floyd didn't understand the situation at the time, but as he grew up, it made perfect sense. After his grandfather passed away, Floyd's dad moved out to the farm, in order to take care of it and work there. Floyd was forced to stay with his whore of a mother, one who didn't even want him around - well, neither of the parents really wanted to deal with him. The two blamed Floyd for their unfortunate divorce, so they beat him from time to time, to take away their own condemnation.

As a teen, he was forced to move in with his father when the mother passed away from a stroke - no one attended her funeral. His father was even worse than the mother, always drunk and reluctant to reality. Of course, he had Floyd help him in the farm, but for no sort of payment or reward. He had to do it, or he didn't eat. "Boy, if you don't get your sorry ass out ther' you ain't gettin' no dinner, ya hear?! SO GET WORKIN!!" the old man would yell, usually using his belt as an intimidation tool. It if wasn't the belt, then it was the horsewhip. Fuck that horsewhip. In addition to farming, the two would go out hunting, well, Floyd would go out hunting while the father would watch and wait from a distance. The food Floyd caught had to be given to his father to cook. Floyd knew how to skin a deer and everything, but he was never in charge of doing so. His father would do it and only give Floyd a portion of what 'he' had hunted down. People resented the entire family because of their human nature. School wasn't even in the picture. All that grammar and reading crap was useless, though Floyd was eventually taught to do it by one of the neighboring girls who ended up dying in a car accident as new roads continued being built. It was ironic because the the mayor at the time pushed for new roads in order to make travel more productive and safer. It obviously didn't work that way.

Dallas, Texas continued to urbanize, making many farmers convert to factories and selling their land to bigger organizations and companies. Since they were making hardly any profit by selling their crops, Floyd urged his ignorant father to sell the farm. "This is ya granddaddy's farm boy! Don't be stupid!" he would always respond in addition to whipping him. A year or two later, Floyd's father passed away, leaving the farm to him, which didn't make any sense at all, then again, who else did the old man have? But when joy hits, so does despair. Apparently, Floyd's father had been passed due on several bills. He wasn't paying off the farm and continued to push away any sort of notice referring to such situation. Eventually, tax collectors took the farm from Floyd's grasp, who was not given a single dime for it. All that he was left with was cattle, crops, and the old bobber his father had in the garage. They even took the horses, knowing they could make a profit from it. So Floyd made due with what he had, he sold the remaining cattle and crops, keeping the bobber for transportation. He then went from Dallas to New Orleans, ending up buying a small cabin in the nearby woods.

These woods were just like the present woods of the apocalypse, dark, damp, and frozen with lamenting pain. It was as if one was running forever, nowhere, but forever. It was and endless nightmare where one would wake up after they died. Floyd turned back and saw nothing, just black. He felt as if he had been running for hours, but surely it was merely minutes. Actually, he wasn't even running anymore, it was more of like a quick jog. The further he fell into the jet, the more silent the night became. This was a sign that the walkers had either lost his trail, or were too slow to catch up at this point. But Floyd couldn't risk his luck, so he continued on, until not even he could hear his own steps.

A mile or so later, his legs could no longer go. He walked up a little until the numbness of his feet made him drop like a potato bag. He gasped for air rapidly like a dog with rabies. He lay there looking at the ground as his hair damped over his entire face. He looked back once again and not a sound was heard, not a sight was seen. It wasn't day yet, but from the horizon, the sun was definitely rising. He didn't even get to rest until now, it had been an overwhelming day. But it wasn't over.

Suddenly, a flash of light shined directly on Floyd's face, blinding him yet again, this time, literally. When one becomes accustomed to darkness, seeing the light will burn the eyesight. Floyd didn't speak though, he currently didn't have the energy nor the intention. "You alright there stranger?" a voice called out, but whose was it?

Daniel Crowe - Railroad Tracks - Shannon

Daniel pulled to a halt at the tracks, shifting the car into park and extinguishing the ignition. He anxiously jumped from the cab of the truck and held his gun alert. He looked around; no one was there; the tracks were deserted. His clenched a hard fist and tightly squeezed the grip of his pistol. He breathed in, "Emma?!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. No answer. "Emma!" He called again. She was gone... "Goddam-" his words caught in his throat as he choked out a sob. Then he noticed it; the knife and the piece of cloth.. he stalked over and picked up the knife. He flipped the hilt over; it was engraved. E.J. Crowe. Emma Jane Crowe...

He looked around the tracks; up at the dead walkers; and then up the road. Daniel jogged up the hill, observed the walkers. They'd all been shot; possibly by Emma and company. He went down back down to the tracks and looked at the gravel... Their were several more pairs of tracks; and their had only been three of them... It could have been walkers, but no, walkers were sluggish; these tracks were coordinated. He looked on the other side of the tracks, from where they'd been shooting; indeed there were three sets of footprints in the gravel... but there were only three of them... Daniel was sure of it; someone else had been there...

Shannon - Railroad Tracks - Daniel

Shannon dutifully followed Daniel out of the truck, but only walked with him halfway toward the tracks. She stood watching him, her hands nervously touching at her hair and her eyes looking around for signs of movement. It was rather dark out now and probably very late at night by Shannon's estimation. No sane person would still be hanging out here with monsters lurking about.

Shouting brought Shannon's attention back to Daniel, who was calling out for his sister. He started scanning the ground, looking around the dead walkers. Daniel seemed to know what he was doing, though Shannon couldn't even begin to guess what he was seeing. His movements were erratic, marked with an obvious air of desperation. Shannon was about to call out to him, but her voice caught in her throat. She was just too cold, tired, and admittedly scared. "Daniel," she said softly, walking up to him. She almost placed a hand on his shoulder, but instead shoved it into her pocket. "What are you looking at?"

Daniel Crowe - Train Tracks - Shannon

Daniel shakily showed her the engraving of the knife hilt. "I-It's her knife... I gave it to her last summer when I was off duty and came home for her birthday..." He dropped his hand back to his side; and pointed out the jumbled prints on the tracks. "R-right...right there. There's a new group of tracks..." He moved frantically to the other side of the railroad. "Three sets of tracks; three shooters... Emma and her two friends. But the other pairs of tracks are to organized to be the walkers..." He pointed out the jumbled prints again. "Shannon, someone else was here... someone was here..."

Aleck ~ Walking back to the tracks

He had arrived at the raider camp and formulated a plan of invasion, he noted that he simply did not have enough to achieve his goal at hand and thus decided to look about to see if he could scrounge what he needed in time to save Emma from whatever agony she could potentially be suffering in that camp. The most important thing he needed was a working vehicle, hopefully a hummer if he could find one and if not anything with a motor and wheels would work just fine.

There had been some cars near the church so he decided to head back through the neighborhoods and cross the tracks to get there as quickly as possible.

"Emma..." Aleck had been running for a while when he heard the name once, the again moments later coming from the spot he had witnessed Emma's abduction. He hurried to that spot to find a car and two people there.

By now Aleck had tossed aside his pack, he had taken everything valuable in it and stuffed it into the multi pocketed coat he was wearing. He had the Sig Sauer rifle out and loaded pointing towards the two individuals on the tracks.

"Ho there!" Aleck called out. "My name is Aleck!"

He was weary, there were two of them and the man didn't seem to be average, he could judge people well and he was getting vibes telling him this man had warrior attributes, what kind they might be he wasn't sure but he'd put up a kind of a good fight if it came to it. The other one, she wasn't threatening except for that fact that at the moment she was an unpredictable variable.

"How do you know Emma?!" He called out centering on the man.

Shannon - Railroad Tracks - Daniel & Aleck

Shannon didn't respond right away, letting Daniel talk at length. He frantically hopped around the railroad, pointing out the tracks on the ground. She took his word on the tracks; Shannon certainly had no kind of tracking experience. She could barely recall camping once in her entire life. "I'm sorry," she said when he was finished. She was sorry about a great many things, but for having fired at his sister most of all. If the girl had been anything like her brother, Shannon knew she had made a grave mistake. "You aren't thinking of trying to find her tonight, are you?" She crossed her arms in an attempt at coming off more strongly. "We should go back for now and continue the search in the morning."

Her limbs felt like wet noodles and she could barely keep her eyes open, but that wasn't the only reason why Shannon was proposing waiting until the morning. She didn't care how good Daniel was, now wasn't that the time to be tracking anyone down. Not nowadays, with monsters about.

The approach of someone from the darkness caused Shannon to take a step forward. One hand went backwards, grabbing the gun stuffed into her pants, the other reaching out for Daniel's arm. A moment passed before Shannon realized her dumb instinctual move. She removed her hand and grasped her gun in both hands, aiming it at the ground.

The unknown man asked about Emma, and Shannon realized his voice sounded familiar. She found herself growing uneasy, and so Shannon waited for Daniel to speak for the both of them.

Daniel Crowe - Train Tracks - Shannon and Aleck
When Shannon removed her hand, Daniel almost felt disappointed. He'd received it as a gesture, but he didn't know how she'd administered it. Daniel was almost tempted to return the gesture and put his hand on her arm. He touched her arm, letting her know he would protect if it came down to it.

"I'd ask you the same thing!" He rose his gun head level, ready to shoot. "She's my sister..." He took a bold step forward, keeping his eyes on the sig sauer rifle. Had he killed a cop for that rifle? "Buddy, I swear if you did anything to her, you're going to wish I shot you in the head."

Aleck ~ at the tracks ~ Daniel Shannon

"Your sister is not with me," Aleck responded, surprised by the luck of finding this man, a blood relative of the young girl. "She was taken a while ago by a group of armed men."

He lowered his gun, the man would not shoot him, at least the probability was really low, lowering the gun also showed signs of trust and willingness to cooperate and right now he needed this man's abilities and vehicle, the woman...meat-shield?

"I can lead you to her," he said. "But first I need to know I can trust you and that we can work together because what I have in mind is going to require coordination. We can both start by putting away our guns."

he had already begun reformulating his plan, it was a simple improvement to his original idea only with more hands and guns at work.

Floyd - Business

Floyd looked directly into the single dangling light that weaved side to side like a rocking chair. His eyes became red, not only from the burning displeasure, but his mental and physical exhaustion. Slowly, he raised, his hand clenching his trench knife, which lost the knuckle guard after striking a large walker's cranium. His breath was as dilated as his stance. He noticed the dark figures that stood around the flashlight, there was definitely more than one person surrounding him. And he predicted correctly when all of a sudden, four more flashlights became active. All of them were pointed directly at Floyd, making him feel targeted and threatened, so he continued to take a defensive stance.

"C'mon Floyd, don't you remember me?" the first flashlight called out. Floyd's left eye then ticked as he attempted to figure out how this man knew his name. He tried to match the voice to the people he met at the track. The doctor maybe? No, it wasn't his voice. Could they be the raiders? But there was no way they knew who he was. Feeling the agitation of not knowing, Floyd barked. "Who the hell are ya?"

"I can't believe you don't remember me Floyd. Its me, your only friend, Eli!" the man said as a soft laughter followed. When 'Eli' started laughing, the other men surrounding Floyd put their weapons down, not on the ground, but let go of the trigger and let the machines hang by their shoulders. But to resume their little exchange - "I ain't got no friends" Floyd answered. Another soft laugh came from the dark skinned man, his appearance had become clear when the moon seemed to shine over the surrounding area. Even with his appearance visible and his entire character/persona evident, Floyd did not remember this person, not even as a visual learner did not recollect this person. "I can't believe you don't remember me Floyd. I helped you get started here in New Orleans. Do you remember that at least? I helped you buy that cabin. I can't believe you actually left it though? I thought you'd live there forever, even through this hell" Eli added. Then it clicked. Eli was the salesman that sold Floyd the cabin for a decent price, but he had nothing to do with him after that. Actually, a month or so after he sold Floyd the house, he vanished with his girlfriend. He had gone to Houston Texas or something, to visit family. He traveled like that after every sale he made, because the commission he got from a sale was over thirty percent. "What the hell do you want with me?" Floyd asked.

Eli's brow raised at Floyd's tone. "What's up with you man? Its like you've got somewhere to be? Do you? Because if you don't, me and my pals here have camp set up west of here. We have a couple more friends down there too. So how bout you come with us Floyd? If you stay out here you're most likely gonna die. You look like shit, you've got them following you huh? Tsk tsk. C'mon, get up" Eli said, walking up to Floyd, extending his hand out to him. He waited for Floyd to return the generosity, but instead, was faced with malevolence. Floyd slapped Eli's hand off of his face. "I don't need ya help. I've gotta go back, she's waitin' for me" he said, limping his way towards the track intersection behind the armed men. As he passed Eli, the dark skinned man turned around and seemed surprised. "Huh? She you say? Did you get married or something Floyd? Congrats man."

"It ain't like that" Floyd answered, not knowing why. He didn't need to explain anything to this man, he owed him nothing. "So its just a booty call huh? Hahaha! Didn't think you rolled like that Floyd, you never put up with anybody back in the day. Its weird that yo-"

"Shut ya damn mouth!"

"Oh, getting defensive aren't we?.............I'd help you, but its night, they're more active during this time. We also have to get back to camp, they're waiting for us to return. These men have wives you know. Well, some of them. But it doesn't matter does it. We've gotta go, you coming or not Floyd?"

With a huff, Floyd started to struggle and walk back down the tracks. He was going to return for Jessalyn because she was out there alone waiting for him, and from what he knew, she trusted everyone she met. That meant she trusted him as well. As much as he hated her gullibility, for some odd reason, he couldn't let her get hut. Even though it was for survival, she befriended him, regardless how he treated her. That reliability and trust would eventually get her killed one day, that's why Floyd would always object it harshly. That's also the reason Floyd didn't go with Eli, he was not trustworthy in any way. He was a businessman, that's all. If Floyd would have gone with him, eventually, he would have to pay him back for the 'generous housing' he would supply him. "You know where to find us if you change your mind Floyd, old pal!" Eli called out one last time, informing him that if he chose, he could join them, all he had to do was travel West, following the tracks.

As the armed men dissipated into the darkness that beheld the woods, it seemed that Floyd no longer had thoughts of running away. He was going to face the unknown, face his mistakes head on like a real man would. He thought of the event that unfolded, of the rage he showed Jessalyn, the insensitivity. His entire life he treated others the way his family treated him, but as he furthered down the tracks, he understood how unjust it was. Though he may not be able to change his ways, though he may not be able to take back what he'd done in the past, it was evident that he would not allow himself to be demised with the same fate as his parents. His entire being was filled with the same shades that fill the woods. It was a dark entity that clenched his heart, but as he now could see a figure in the distance, he felt that effigy exhaled. With some sort of push, he started to jog forward, exiting the previous limp he had. "Jess! Jess!........." he called out, breathing heavily in between each step. "JESS!" he called out yet again when all of a sudden, a bullet grazed the side of his leg, eventually leading him to fall to the ground immediately, landing in a puddle of mud that spread through the side of his body.

The bullet was shot by none other than Eli, the real-estate agent. Floyd looked up to see Jess in the distance, close enough to see them as well. Eli came up to Floyd and pulled his head up by his hair, then slamming his face against the hard ground. "Go ahead" Eli commanded, allowing one of his men to kick Floyd in the gut repeatedly. "So this is the girl Floyd fell in love with huh?" Eli taunted, laughing his ass off. "Look guys, he even got her pregnant, ha!" The businessman used his arm to signal his other men to capture the girl, she wouldn't be able to run fast enough to get away, she was pregnant after all. And within seconds, they caught her, using merely their arms to lock hers'. "Well Floyd, you should have accepted our offer, maybe this would have never happened, who knows? Anyhow-" Eli paused as he crouched to meet his level. "If you dare follow us now, I will have your head and feed it to the walkers, if they don't come and get you now." With one last kick to the face, Eli started off separating his group in two. He and the two men carrying Jess headed in one direction, while the rest of his men headed forty-five degrees in the other direction. Maybe the tactic was used to hid where their true haven was located. Was that the reason they were in the woods in the first place? Floyd thought they were hunting or lost, but it seems they had some sort of schedule or program. Were these the raiders from earlier?

Shannon - Railroad Tracks - Daniel & Aleck

She knew it for sure now. This guy, Aleck, had been with Emma when Shannon fired on their group. He had been the one who told her to put her weapon down peacefully. She didn't believe him at the time, but she supposed he really had wanted peace after all. She put away her gun to appease the man.

Aleck wanted to lead them to Emma, but there was no way in hell that this was a good idea. If they had armed men to deal with, Shannon didn't think they were in any position to get Emma back. Not at the moment, at least. Aleck probably had a plan in mind, but that didn't matter. They needed to regroup and gather their strength. Shannon placed a hand on Daniel's arm, intentionally this time. "Wait," she said, speaking barely loud enough for Aleck to hear. "Let's go back to the garage and let Amelia in on this. We need to... We need to think about this." Her eyes looked briefly toward Aleck. "Okay, Daniel?"
