Takeshi CS

Name: Takeshi

Age: 17

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • Novice Swordsman: Takeshi has basic understandings of swordplay and can use it in combat.[/*]
  • Arc Burst: Takeshi fires a volley of Ki blasts, all branching off in various directions. Ultimately collide in one spot and create a larger blast that sets off afterwards.
  • Martial artist: Though usually too impatient to display it Takeshi has a wide knowledge of martial arts and is a good hand-to-hand combatant.
  • Ki Control: Contrary to his usual sporadic attacks Takeshi has fine Ki control, able to perform complex maneuvers when flying and manipulate his energy for unique attacks, such as Arc Burst.

Bio: The older brother of Shu and one of the son's of Yamate, Takeshi has spent a great deal of his life doing less than favorable things. Brought up by a mercenary who he would later kill, he's mostly been on his own and as such can easily support himself. After being trained by Master Xing he killed the man to save a family he was trying to extort, but was labelled just as bad and forced away. After that, at only 10 years old, he managed to accrue enough money by stealing from the mercenaries and got himself a home. Living out alone he began to build resentment towards people, even more so than he had while with Xing. Labeling most of society like his former master he adopted a rather cynical outlook on humanity as a whole, not trusting or favoring them in the least.

Ever confident in his own abilities the news of the World Martial Arts tournament reached him one day, and instantly he went and registered with the intent of winning. His world was shook a little upon finding another Saiyan in attendance, having never met another one before. Unsurprisingly he and the other boy, Shu, were the finalists, and faced off for the prize money. After both technically losing the match he tried to leave in disappointment, being hounded by the younger boy all the while. Reluctantly agreeing to let the other kid stay with him and train the boy they began to form a bond, gradually but surely. The revelation of Shu being his younger brother accelerated that bond, to the point where now he is fiercely protective of the other boy.

Personality: Quick to anger, competitive yet supportive, particularly of his brother Shu. Takeshi isn’t wholly used to being around others and as such often says things out of line, whether knowingly or not. While he has a bit of an aggressive streak he has tempered his anger somewhat for the sake of those around him, and now more so than before feels guilty when he’s lost control.

Growing up as one of the most powerful fighters, or the most powerful in his limited world, he believes himself to be highly capable. This translates to battles where his friends are at risk, thinking he has the strength to keep them safe. More often than not this isn’t the case, and Takeshi often feels inadequate or guilty when someone is injured in a fight. He is very determined to become stronger, more so than Viral even, to be able to sufficiently protect the others. His limited knowledge on friendship has him believing he should be standing up for them, even if they may not necessarily want him to.

In most instances, Takeshi is sarcastic, takes things lightly and jokes around. He has a slight verbal tick of adding “you know,” to many of his sentences, something he picked up from his former Master. He absolutely loves fighting and training, and has something of an obsession when it comes to seafood. Though he often totes himself as being knowledgeable he lacks any real formal education, and becomes flustered easily when presented with problems that can’t be solved by brute force. He's not overly fond of large groups of people, and harbors something of a slight resentment towards humans, though this has waned gradually over the last year and a half.

Yumi CS

Name: Yumi

Age: 22

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • Martial Arts Expert: Yumi has trained in various forms of martial arts, and as a result is very potent at hand to hand combat.
  • Enhanced Senses: Thanks to the unwilling augumentation from the Saiyans, Yumi's five senses are more sensitive than a typical human beings'.
  • Empathetic Link: Unknown how it came about, Yumi can influence emotions of those around her just by being in their proximity. Likely from pheromones.

Bio: Yumi has held a lifelong fascination of martial arts, beginning at a very young age. Her grandfather was a martial arts instructor, and at the age of four she was introduced to one of his classes. While most girls her age played with dolls and played 'family', Yumi spent long hours mimicking things she had seen older students do... Or try to, at least. It was much a hobby for her growing up as it was an escape, particularly from her father. Her parents were relatively successful, enough so that their name carried a bit of weight even in a place like Capsule Corp. Despite having a comfortable life, things at home were not all smiles and sunshine. Her father was and is an alcoholic, never exactly the ideal father figure a child would want. Through her parents' friendship with Vegeta's own parents it was inevitable that she and him were to become friends. At the insistence of Vegeta's father, Aito, Yumi eventually joined a formal martial arts school alongside her new found friend.

So much time was spent practicing martial arts that it quickly became her main hobby. Even as she enrolled in school she would often take lessons afterwards, or practice alongside Vegeta. The fact she was at a disadvantage never deterred her, she continued to practice. It may have been her learning alongside a Saiyan, but soon she and Vegeta were the top of their class. Both were young when they enrolled in an adult course, and even then they were some of the best students. Her infatuation with martial arts came at the great displeasure of her father, a man who had never been shy of speaking his mind. Because of his often negative and crude behavior towards her Yumi developed a rather strong disdain of men. With the exception of a few people, Vegeta and Viral included, she had little use for the opposite sex. Her innate dislike of men and her tendency to go against the norm for girls gained her plenty of attention in her school years, mostly negative. She hardly cared though, she had what made her happy. She would eventually finish school, and lessons at her former dojo. Wanting to expand her martial arts further she began moving around East City and beyond, trying to train wherever she could.

Personality: Self-sufficient, a proud fighter and loyal, Yumi is happy to stand as an equal to some of the universe’s best fighters. Stern yet compassionate, she often ridicules others for making foolish choices or taking risks, purely out of concern for their well-being. She is supportive of those around her and pushes them to improve, often times putting their needs above her own. As such she has slipped somewhat behind the rest, and while she acknowledges this fact and it bothers her slightly she still persists in helping her friends.

Out of anything else, Yumi values those she can trust and confide in the most. Having grown up in a slightly dysfunctional home she had trouble trusting people growing up, particularly men. As she grew older and became more independent that changed, albeit she still exhibits disdain towards oppressive or otherwise unpleasant men. As of late, the one thing she desperately wants above all else is for her friends to be helped, and she yearns to see Viral returned to his former self. She has slightly romantic feelings for him, yet she still views him more as a sibling than a potential love interest.

Confident in her abilities and her strengths, Yumi stands up for what she thinks is right, even if sometimes she’s mistaken. She’s not against accepting other views and will readily change her own if convinced, and she’s happy to accommodate others. Though she isn’t a Saiyan like many of her friends she still considers herself a strong warrior, and holds her head up high whenever they fight together. When she isn’t busy saving the universe from nasty individuals she loves engrossing herself in studies of martial arts; it is her vast knowledge of different styles that she takes the greatest pride in, more so than any personal belonging.

Vegeta CS

Name: Vegeta

Age: 22

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • High Intelligence: Vegeta is astoundingly bright, and as such has a vast array of knowledge. He is quite adept at anything to do with technology, and his knowledge expands to several other fields as well.
  • Mechanist: If it has even a .0001% chance of working, Vegeta can get it to work. Alien or familiar, Vegeta has a knack for repairing, dismantling and scavenging machines.
  • Martial Artist: Like Yumi, Vegeta has spent a good bulk of his life studying martial arts. As such he is a proficiently close quarters fighter, and has some varied knowledge of a few weapons.

Bio: His great-grandfather was one of Earth's most famous heroes, as was his grandfather. His own father was a powerful Saiyan and head of Capsule Corporation, as was his father before him. To say Vegeta had big shoes to fill was an understatement. From a young age he was pressed, albeit passively, to excel in all he did. Showing an incredible intellect from a young age he had an easy time in school, making light of classes all throughout his career as a student. His intellect didn't pertain to just the classroom either, he was quite often found in the labs with some of Capsule Corporation's brightest, tinkering with machines. Whereas his father was interested in biology he found love in machines, they were quite the dynamic pair. Tragically his parents would be taken from him by Viral, his father's very own creation. This fact however would go on unknown by Vegeta for numerous years as he was kept in the dark.

If not for his childhood friend and their mentor, Viral, Vegeta very likely would have been quite depressed. He found the companionship of those two to help him tremendously, and over the years the pain of his loss gradually lessened. When he was of age he inherited Capsule Corporation, taking charge of the operations there. Regardless of how much his father may have wished for it Vegeta could never find the passion in dictating a business. He knew how to of course, but it was too dull. His time in the labs, tinkering with machines, that was all drastically reduced due to his responsibilities. The formalities that came along with it oft made him sneak out to get away from it all, much to the chagrin of the board and his employees.

Personality: He’s a hardworking man, Vegeta, and he won’t turn down any job he’s given. That being said he also makes no qualms about letting others know if he enjoys a task or not, his enthusiasm or lack thereof plain as day. He prefers working with his hands more than anything and is highly intelligent, yet often seems aloof and never implies as such. Despite this apparent aloofness he is actually a rather considerate individual, willing to put aside his own needs for even days on end to do work for another. Something of a perfectionist, he will not cease on a task until he’s satisfied with its outcome.

All his young life, Vegeta was slated to work under his father. To learn his job, to take it up after him, to be trained by him, it was always under his shadow. As such, Vegeta yearns to distinguish himself from Aito. Where his father excels in biology and genetics, the young Saiyan has all but mastered engineering and many technological fields. He is particularly proud of his ability to create various devices, often supplying the group with their go-to tech. He is always working, always seeking to make his product just that much better, and often times succeeds. Yet it is never completely enough, and he is always striving for better.

While he loves working with is hands, there is nothing more Vegeta hates then acting as a figurehead, or busywork. He loathed his time as Capsule Corporations CEO, and revels somewhat in the fact Aito will once more take over, or so he hopes. Despite being a fairly strong fighter he has a deep seeded disdain for unnecessary violence, and especially hates the strong taking advantage of the weak. He sees it as a duty of the powerful to protect those who are in no position to do so, and as such has a special place reserved in his interpersonal hell for the likes of Yamate.

Aito CS

Name: Aito

Age: 29

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • High Intelligence: Like his father before him, Aito has a remarkably high intelligence. In contrast to Vegeta's knowledge of technology, Aito is knowledgeable in regards to technology, medicine, psychotherapy and genealogy.
  • Super Saiyan: Though yet to be displayed, Aito has managed to attain Super Saiyan power. No one knows for certain just how strong he is, or when he might show his strength.
  • Martial Artist: Though his personal knowledge of martial arts is limited, Aito is proficient at what he does know.

Bio: Son of Trunks and grandson of Vegeta, Aito has known powerful men throughout his childhood and young adult life. It is only natural then that he too would seek to become stronger, attaining the power of a Super Saiyan at a remarkably young age, 9 to be exact. Though he showed a fair deal of natural talent for attaining strength he was often bored by it, and even the training he received was of little interest. Much to the chagrin of his grandfather, Vegeta, he found more interest in the intellectual endeavors of his father Trunks. As soon as he was able to read he began to look into scientific books, albeit not understanding a word of it until some time later. By the age of 16 he had finished his primary education and attended a university, finishing his degrees at only 20 years of age.

Aito had a goal in mind of what he wanted to do with his life, and that was to create an artificial being. Not something like Doctor Gero's androids, but a living, breathing being. Having the mind to leave Earth's protection to this being he enlisted the aid of a few other scientists, with one Doctor Ikura and Doctor Volkov being amongst his closest collaborators. Through a series of trail and error, and a number of failed attempts, the trio and their aides would ultimately succeed in creating their ideal artificial life; Viral. A conglomeration of the world's best animals as well as human and Saiyan genes, Viral was the epitome of their efforts and a crowning jewel for the group as a whole. The creation of Viral however led to some dispute, with Volkov wanting to use him as a military weapon and Aito and Ikura wishing for Viral to be solely a protector. Naturally the majority won out, and Volkov left the team with Viral being kept in Capsule Corporation and raised alongside Vegeta Jr and Yumi.

During their partnership, Aito would inevitably develop romantic feelings for Volkov's bodyguard, a woman named June. Though their relationship would take some time to manifest they would inevitably fall in love with one another, and eventually would raise a son together, named Vegeta for Aito's grandfather.

Personality: Powerful, yet cares little for power, confident yet not arrogant, Aito is a difficult man to read sometimes. He often comes across as carefree and even eccentric at times, yet he is constantly observing what is around him. Highly intelligent, he takes in every aspect of the moment at hand and analyzes it tirelessly, making him excellent at reading both people and situations. Like Vegeta, he is a tireless worker who strives to complete his job, albeit not to the perfectionist degree of his son. He has a bit of an obscure way of approaching his tasks, yet they more often than not yield the desired results.

Aito’s motivation can be summed up into one simple phrase: protecting his sons. Despite Viral’s creation as a protector of Earth he found himself unable to subject the young boy to such a job, instead raising him as normally as possible. He is very hopeful for their futures and believes they each have the utmost potential, refusing to let them think otherwise. Indeed he is much the same in regards to most around him, being something of a dreamer when it comes to that. There is a way to overcome any obstacle, he believes, and will work to see that such a thing comes to pass.

Aito knows he is powerful, and he knows he is intelligent, often times being one or two steps ahead of the others. Despite that he never holds it over someone or gloats, and is more often than not humble. However, when the situation at hand demands his expertise he is very professional, applying himself and his knowledge entirely to the task at hand. His greatest fault, perhaps, is in that he expects far too much, albeit he never forces others to live to these standards. Rather, it is Aito who works endlessly to see these potentials met, and is rarely if ever convinced that what he sees is all there is to it. He is also somewhat reluctant to become involved in fighting, fearing his part in the battles will incite greater problems still. For the time being he is content to sit on the sidelines, but who knows for how much longer.

June CS

Name: June

Age: 28

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • Martial Artist: June has basic skills in martial arts thanks to being around Aito. They're fairly limited though, and mostly recreational.

Bio: Her father was a soldier in the RRA, her mother a nurse, so it was inevitable that June too join the infamous group. Growing up and believing her family was involved with the true heroes, she took to the cause with a great sense of belonging and pride. Never having shown any real prowess for academics, June instead found her focus in training amongst the soldiers, and even alongside her father after some time. Where she lacked in terms of overwhelming intelligence she made up for in prowess in battle, sparring with men almost twice her size and handling weapons like she was born with them in hand. It was only natural that she be allowed into the elite program, and trained to protect some of the more important members of the RRA. At age 21 she would be assigned to Doctor Volkov, and their partnership would begin.

Though she was all for the RRA, June found it difficult to like Volkov himself. Loud and outspoken, crude and impatient, he was anything but enjoyable to be around. The initial year of their working together saw an awful lot of demeaning tasks and comments towards to her, as she wasn't expected to last long as a woman. Intent on proving the man wrong she did every job to her utmost ability, even ones that should be far below her. After quite a lot of tribulations she would win over Volkov's approval, albeit she still harbored some resentment for her initial treatment. The pair would travel a fair bit together between bases until he was eventually reached out to by a man named Aito, hoping to provide his knowledge in genetics and biology for a project. Skeptical but curious the Doctor agreed, and the pair traveled to East city for their job. For reasons unknown to her, Volkov was to leave the group when the project had been completed, yet she refused to leave Aito. June noticed almost immediately that Aito was taking a fancy to her, finding his overly-friendly behavior to be very annoying. She was married to her job, she didn't have time to be gallivanting around with some scientist. Through his persistence however and in getting to know Aito better she softened up to him, and after two years she finally agreed to date him.

Seeing no other recourse the Doctor left her behind which was just as well; June was two months pregnant with their son, and seven months later she gave birth to Vegeta Jr, ecstatic with being a mother. Enraged by the supposed betrayal of his bodyguard, Volkov left the project and June behind in a righteous fury, though she couldn't have cared less. She was with the man she loved, and about to have a family of her own. Her senses as a fighter never dulled, but she softened considerably upon the day of seeing both of her children's smiling faces.

Personality: Those unfamiliar with June might never know she was, at one point, one of the deadliest women in the world. Matronly and compassionate, she is very diligent in looking out for the group, seeing them all as children despite their physical ages not being that different. She is extremely protective of both of her sons, enough so to the point that she’d die for them. The same can be said for Aito, a fact that her husband both recognizes and is pained to acknowledge. She was trained to not fear death, and as such will take part in battles despite being very lacking in terms of strength, anything to help those she cares about. Despite her kind and gentle exterior, her cold, almost heartless sharpshooting counterpart still lies beneath the skin.

June believes there is beauty even in the darkest of moments, one just has to look for it. Having done some awful things as a young woman, and having died at her own son’s hand, she has experienced her fair share of tribulations. Despite this she has never faltered in her belief, firmly holding that life is good and worth experiencing, both in the good and the bad moments. She believes each are important in a person’s life as it shapes who they are, and she has a very “live and let live” mentality. So long as no one harms those she deems important she is very passive about most things, even turning a blind eye to some nasty business.

Having changed her outlook almost entirely, it is natural that June takes slightly after Aito. From both her husband’s influence and her time as a markswoman, she is patient and can observe individuals or a scene for extended periods of time. When she is required to she can almost suppress all emotion, making her an excellent fighter despite her sub-par strength when compared to others in the group. She absolutely adores spending time with those in the group, seeing them as Vegeta’s friends and almost a sort of extended family. Though she lacks the knowledge or training of both her husband and son, June is determined to do everything in her power to help their current situation.

Korian CS

Name: Korian

Age: 32

Appearance:

Abilities:
  • High strength: Korian is an adept fighter, and especially powerful physically. For a man of his level he is well above average, making him a fierce hand-to-hand combatant.
  • Tactician: Though not always abundantly evident, Korian knows his way around a battlefield. Planning ahead is not his forte, but in the midst of a frenzy he can apply his experience and knowledge like no other, turning the tides of some of the most abysmal skirmishes.
  • Highly trained: A former Elite and one of Yamate's best soldiers, there is little in the way of martial arts that Korian does not know. As far as a Saiyan's repertoire goes he knows almost every trick in the book, enabling him to anticipate and counter most every tactic in a fight.

Bio: Formerly one of Yamate's Elites, and the Vice-Commander of the Saiyan Military, he has an illustrious career. Leading his forces into numerous victories under Yamate's name, he had grown to a point where just his and his men's presence on a world was enough to make forces submit. Though he performed every task assigned dutifully he rarely took enjoyment in the fact, finding it both dull and distasteful that he was sent to fight such weak opponents. Over the years he took offense to enslaving planets as well, never informed as to the reason for doing so other than being told they were needed for the empire. Eventually this distaste for conquest led him to defect from Kortal and the Saiyan Empire, taking his First Lieutenant Sayomi and several men with him.

Korian's defection did not go unnoticed, and he along with the others were quickly branded enemies of the empire. Though nothing was intended to be done about it initially, the former Vice-Commander began leading strikes on conquered worlds, attempting to rid them of Saiyan control. This would inevitably force Yamate's hand, and thus would begin the Great Saiyan war. As worlds were freed and people
released, Korian began to gather followers devoted to his cause, of seeing the universe restored to its once diverse, natural state free of Saiyan oppression. In spite of being a Saiyan himself his troops readily followed him, attacking planet after planet to drive off the enemy. Though they had a number of early successes, the fact remained that his forces were dwarfed by that of the Saiyan empire. Eventually they were put on the defensive, having to fall back as far as Uuonoe to seek shelter. Formerly a neutral world, the rebels were pleasantly surprised to find staunch allies in the technological wonderland, able to establish themselves there.

As time passed the rebellion continued to grow, and the Saiyan empire's expansion slowed more and more. Regular strikes were made against the worlds under Saiyan control, albeit now more in guerrilla fashion than outright warfare. It was not until the arrival of the Princes that the rebels began to make strategic moves, slowly gaining footholds in key planets and beginning to drive the forces of Yamate back. There is still a long ways to go until the universe is back to its intended order, but Korian fully intends to see his mission through.

Personality: A stern man and highly driven, Korian attacks any issue he deems worth his time headlong. His tireless effort to see his mission through has gained both the praise and chagrin of those around him, some criticizing the commander for pushing his troops too hard. He argues every moment spent relaxing is another someone must suffer, truly believing the rebellion to be a necessary force for freeing the oppressed masses. He is extremely protective of those in his command, a fact that earned him loyalty of many both in the Saiyan military as well as the rebellion forces; if given the chance he will make a personal effort even to save the lowest of the grunts, or send out a force to do so. Unless they are dead in battle he will not abandon any troops, believing every individual to be crucial to his efforts.

Perhaps due to his nature as a Saiyan, Korian is quite vindictive. Though a generally collected and level-headed man he has been known to fly into a rage when something angers him, particularly when someone harms his troops. This anger has led him to strike out against those he likely never should have, and once cooled down he always regrets doing so. Though he is a man who appreciates the need for order and superior powers, he loathes the notion of taking away personal freedom. The idea of forcing another to work under you is an obscene thought, hence his extreme disdain of Yamate's actions. His one goal for many years had been to see the universe freed from the Saiyan's control, and to allow planets to govern themselves, as they should. If anyone chooses to follow him then he welcomes it openly, yet he never forces someone to follow his command. A bit contradictory however, there are unspoken rules, such as not taking a life if it can be helped, that he expects to be followed completely, and will become irate if it's not.

Korian sees himself as a leader and as a capable warrior, but not as a ruler. He has no desire for a throne or to command the masses, nor does he believe he can. He is and always will be a soldier, and does not even consider the notion of replacing Yamate once the war is over. While taking no pleasure in causing harm he loves battle, and couldn't imagine his life without it. He can do without war, he loathes the massive loss of life, but he would gladly continue as a soldier to maintain the peace if need be. On a side note, it's interesting to see his dependency on Sayomi at times. The commander almost seems forgetful without his Lieutenant around, and has more than once admitted to needing her help in a number of areas.
