Liz sat on her porch swing watching the sunrise. She loved watching the day start. She sipped her tea as the sun slowly rose in the sky. Once the sun was above the horizon she went inside her house. She loved the old Victorian. It was her first real home. She gathered the things she needed for work and headed out the door. She walked towards the clinic wondering what the day would bring.

Willis stood on his balcony watching the sun rise with a glass of scotch in hand. Before he would be preparing to go on the streets and look for a person to trade with but as of late he had began to question what exactly he was doing with his life, after all he had done nearly everything there was to do in the world and he had to begin to feel lost. Perhaps if Cas, Liz and himself had not left on such a bad note then things may have been better, because without them he felt incomplete. Willis had tried to contact them but usually he only got as far as his hand hovering over the phone and when he did manage to dial he was silent when they answered.

Still, Willis knew it would do no good to spend the rest of his days trapped in his mansion. He slipped on his suit and tucked his Smith and Wesson into his pocket and walked outside.

*beep beep beep!*

"Ugh....shut up!"

*beep beep beeeeep!*

"I said shut up!!"

The young man grumbled bitterly with a gruff cough rasping his sore throat as a weary hand reached from the darkness of the covers and slammed down on his alarm clock. Yay....another damn week. Wasn't all bad that he found a sweet job working at the Human Canvas, it's just Matt wasn't much of a morning person. Throwing the thick black comforter off of him, the twenty-four year old stood on his firm legs, glaring down on the many scars that riddled his chest like a road map, some of them but a few days old. Consider those his first tattoos. Matt then shambled towards the window overlooking the dirty and grimy streets of the east district. He pulled back the heavy curtains, but receded just as the piercing morning sun hit his eyes. He grimaced, cursing to himself before his eyes adjusted. It was the typical scene, dingy, scruffy bums digging through the overflowing trashcans, some little hoodlum children beating one with a stick and taking his ill gotten change (probably was gonna use it to buy more smack), and the streetwalkers being harassed by the crooked cops. One would have to ask, who in their right mind would live in this dump of the city? Someone who didn't give a damn, and Matt could barely give two. This place was actually heaven compared to the hell he endured back in Dresden.

Ally walked down the street connect her apartment to the main road. She didn't have work until the afternoon so her morning would be free. Which means she would now be steering clear of any ground not covered in cement. Ally currently wore ripped skinny jeans, black combat boots, a black tank top and a red plaid flannel shirt tied around her waist. Her dirty blonde hair was in a high ponytail and her light green eyes had dark eyemakeup around them making them pop. She went up to a street vendor selling coffee and bought some before sitting on a bench, pulling her headphones that had been around her neck and placing them on her ears. She then began blasting the mixed music - she had created for fun from popular songs - into her ears. She drowned out the world and hoped to enjoy the peace of the morning in the middle of a concrete area where she wouldn't be bothered.

After brushing his teeth and shaving the stubble from his chin, Matt washed off his face and dressed in a pair of frayed dark gray jeans, a black Misfits tanktop and a sleeveless gray denim jacket with a black hood and a Metallica patch on the back (the album cover of Kill Em All). He then put on his black Converse sneakers and put in his eyebrow piercings before grabbing the gig bag that contained his dark red Schecter Omen-6 guitar and slinging it over his shoulder. Matt stepped out from his crummy apartment building onto the concrete, cracked and stained a bit with dry blood and....whatever the hell that other stain was. Cautiously his eyes shifted around, making sure no one could see as he lit a cigarette....with his own hand covered in flames. He quickly snuffed the flame out by shaking his hand vigorously like a match and took a slow drag on his cig before breathing out a phantom wisp of smoke. There was a girl who strolled by him, catching the glint of his ice blue eyes. In his opinion, she was attractive...or as he would put it, totally f*ckable. Matt gave the chick a sly whistle before walking the opposite way down the street to where his band was practicing. He didn't have work until the afternoon, so he had time to kill.

Liz walked to the clinic. She loved the city. It was had an energy that she needed. She pushed her long blond hair out of her face as she walked. She watched the people going about their mornings. She thought about Willis and Cas. She missed them. It was hard to believe they lived in the same city. But she knew that they all needed time apart. Their last conversation had been more of an argument. Of course it didn't help anything that Sara and Cas couldn't agree on how they felt about Willis.

Willis walked the streets looking at all the people he passed wondering about their personal lives, their personal secrets and of course what they truly wanted in life. And since he really had nothing better to do with his life he done the one thing he knew he would always be able to do, the only thing he could ever really do, he traded with them, exchanging money for a longer life and vice versa as well as including many other things.

Soon enough he found himself in the Centre of the worst part of town, cracked buildings, dark alley ways, and long forgotten stories of those who had been left behind by society. And as he got deeper he found more targets who were more desperate, and when people are desperate they will give up anything. He saw a young lad in ripped clothing and a black hoodie up ahead whom Willis decided he may as well try to trade with "You there lad!"

Matt moved his eyes from staring down at the dingy concrete to the face of the old man talking to him, cocking his pierced eyebrow as he took another drag on his cig and breathed smoke into the man's face. "You talking to me, gramps?" Matt inquired gesturing to himself. "The f*ck you want?" The old bag was dressed all spiffy like, a nice suit, shoes, hair slicked back, the works. Matt figured he was some preacher, out to shove indoctrination down the throat of "the sinners" living in the bad side of the city while he and his rich gobshite friends pocketed the offerings and made off like thieves....dirty ass thieves. Coldly he brushed past the prick, shoulder checking him and continuing along the sidewalk while taking another drag off his cigarette. He thought of that girl he saw. Maybe he would run into her again. Maybe she might drop by the Human Canvas for some ink courtesy of Matt. His coworkers always said he was f*cking Picasso with a tattoo gun.

"Gramps?!" Willis thought to himself "By god! This body isn't that old is it?" He was going to inquire but the lad had already pushed past him probably going to do drugs or whatever the hooligans do these days but Willis was not frightened as he had more a enough combat experience to beat the fool to death and even better he still had his Smith and Wesson in his pocket. "Boy!" He called out "If you would be so kind as to wait" he said walking behind him "You would have heard and perhaps even be interested in a deal... No, trade is a better word I think. Tell me! What is it you want in life? More than anything else? Is it money? Power? Dare I say drugs? Or perhaps Something else...?

Ally rolled her eyes at the guy who whistled before deciding to walk to the woods for some practice. She removed her earphones and walked down different streets towards the woods. On one certain street, at the very end, stood the dense woods. Ally began jogging until she entered the forest and then sprinted to the middle of the forest where there was a clearing with dense brush around it. She sat down in the middle of the clearing and concentrated with her eyes closed. She then felt a cold presence behind her and she opened her eyes. "You can't scare me Joseph. I know you're there." Ally said emotionless. A sigh was heard as a boy around 10 walked infront of her and sat down. This boy was slightly glowing and slightly transparent, he was a ghost. "Darn Ally you always know." Ally rolled her eyes. "You try it every-time I summon you. Seeing as you are the only spirit I can summon willingly I have to summon you." Ally said. "Hurtful. I thought you summoned me cause you like me." He said pouting. "Joseph you may look 10 but you have matured because of you being dead for so long." Ally said, "So your pouting won't effect me." Ally added. Joseph just shrugged and began to disappear. "You should pull harder to try to get another ghost." He said before disappearing. Ally nodded and closed her eyes concentrating on pulling on the nearby presence she felt. It was not going to be easy.

Aww shit! The guy was following him now! Matt was already getting pissed off by the incessant religious fanatic, the anger quite literally fueling a fire raging under his skin, and if this dipshit wasn't careful, he was going to end up a pile of ashes and blackened bones....just like Matt's prick of a dad. After hearing a bit of this old bag banter on though about making some deal, it occurred to Matt he wasn't some televangelist rip-off. A bitter huff of air filled with smoke escaping from his lips, Matt whipped around glaring coldly at the man, "Why? You got any?" He quipped at the man's mention of drugs, a bit quizzical since this guy didn't look like the typical dope slinger . "What you got? Smack? Speed? Rock? Angel Dust? Acapulco Gold? Nothing? Well, f*ck you then." And with that he walked off again. If that d!ckhead kept tailing Matt, he was sure to be lit up like a fat joint.

Willis smiled, he was right, the man did use drugs unfortunately however he had none on him but he knew plenty of places to get some. But once again the lad began to walk off again, probably thought this was some sort of sting since Willis was not dressed like your modern day "hipster drug-dealer person". "No. But I know a good place to get some lad. However..." He said walking up to him again "You have to give me something in return... Something a little... Unconventional, you could say"

Of course Matt was being a d-bag just so the guy would piss off. Never, not even on his most desperate level would he think of touching that shit, seeing how much heroin f*cked up some of his classmates in Dresden, and how his mom got so strung out on the shit, she wound up blowing her head off Kurt Cobain style. So naturally, when the guy tried to mention he knew a place to score some, Matt refused in typical fashion, "Yeah, might look like a junkie, but I don't shoot up, man. Plus what the f*ck am I giving you?" Really what would you give some creepy f*ck on the streets who kept harassing you, besides......yeah not going there. Finally, Matt had enough, "Look pops, I'll make a deal with you," and a rather risky move he was pulling. Soon, he reached into the pocket of his jeans and flipped out his switchblade, igniting it instantly in flames. "If you don't get the f*ck outta my way, I'll fry your f*cking insides till they pop!"

Willis sighed and stepped back with raised hands "I was really hoping this wouldn't get violent, but oh well, I tried to offer you the greatest deal in your life but if you wont take it, well so be it then". Willis continued to back away as he spoke until he reached a suitable distance between himself and the lad "However!" He began as he pulled out his Smith and Wesson and pointed it at the man "I WILL NOT BE THREATENED BY SOME PUP WHO NEEDS TO LEARN SOME LESSONS IN ETIQUETTE!" He shouted angrily ready to shoot if the man pounced

Rather smug was Matt in his confidence when the man decided to finally back off. Maybe there was some good after-all to his newly developed "abnormality" as he called it. He was just about to snuff out his flames when suddenly the old man in front of him whirled around screaming like Matt's old principal....except his principal wasn't packing heat. "Shit!" Matt yelled, an instant surge of flames up his entire right arm, the knife in his hand so hot, now it was leaving burns in his skin. "You f*cking crazy, old man?! Pulling a piece on me?!" Really he was hoping he didn't have to get in another brawl, especially now that this prick made him late for band practice. "Look, I was gonna be cool and let you live, but you pulling a gun on me?" Suddenly his entire body was engulfed in searing flames. He was practically walking napalm. "THAT REALLY F*CKED MY DAY UP!!"

Liz reached her clinic. It was in the lower class part of town. Something that Willis and the Benefactor hated but she knew the people on the rougher side of the city needed her more then anyone else. The poor had very little in the way of health care. They needed her and her clinic. The clinic was the perfect way for her to help people without them knowing what she was. Few ever suspected that her abilities went above her medical training.

"CALM DOWN KIDDO, COS' YOU DONT KNOW WHO YOUR DEALING WITH!" He yelled furiously as the lad burst into flames, making himself a walking talking fireball and thats when Willis realised that this kid probably only just discovered his powers recently and in most circumstances people never handled the beginning well but for him it must be even harder since it was fire which humans have tried to tame for centuries but to no avail "Damm it lad! Have some sense!" He said lowering his gun "Do you want to attract attention with a power like that?!"

Ally walked back to the town with a few scratches on her arm, by pulling to hard she drew a spirit of a dead raccoon back into it's body and the raccoon had not been very happy. She was able to push the spirit out of it's former body but not before being scratched by the dead thing. She sighed as she walked down a street, not paying attention to much until she saw someone completely on fire. 'So I'm not the only one.' Ally thought watching the guy on fire and the older man cautiously from across the practically empty street.

He was angry...so angry it was though he didn't care what the man had to say before Matt swallowed him in a chasm of fire. He inched closer to the bastard, and with every step, the fire slowly began to consume him, his body and his very soul. Even after the old man lowered his gun in a sign of surrender, Matt persisted to move towards him, but something grabbed him out of the corner of his eye, a familiar sight, an all to familiar shade of blonde. "Oh shit!" He muttered under his breath. It was her! The girl! She....she saw him....on fire! Quickly, just as the flames emerged from his body, they subsided, leaving Matt practically unscathed. "F*ck...hope she didn't see everything." He whispered to himself before turning to the man, "You got lucky, asshole." and storming past him. Dammit...he let himself get too wrapped up in it. Usually he had control over this newfound power of his, but getting himself all worked up like that, Matt might as well have doused his whole body in kerosene. He kept walking, trying his best to avoid eye contact with the girl across the street from him. "F*cking smooth, Matt. Real f*cking smooth...."

Ally smirked on the inside yet her face was emotionless. 'So he doesn't want me to see him like that.' Ally shrugged and headed off towards the mall. She had saved money for piercings and a tattoo or two. She just wanted to get those done today seeing as she had the money to now. She already knew what to get for her tattoo's and she knew what type of piercings she wanted. Some stuff to fit her personality. Ally soon arrived at the mall and just walked through it looking at different places to get her stuff done.
