I've only seen five Anime in full. Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, Inuyasha (my personal favourite), and lastly Attack on Titan.

It's a movie so it's not too hard to see time aside for watching it. Basic plot is a girl and her parents while exploring an area of a forest stumble across the spirit world by accident and her parents get transformed into pigs. She then has to find a way to change them back while working inside a spa hotel.

Won't say more then that but it's pretty decent.

Akatsuki no Yona (Started out sort of average and then got more and more epic for me)
Death Parade (an anime for the feels, not some gore fest as I thought it might be based on the title)
Kiseijuu (not full title, involves parasites secretly taking over mankind...well...on a small scale at least)
Samurai Champloo (not a recent anime but recent for me)

SAO was the best thing ever. Then the second half of the first season started. Season 2's first half was good as well. Then it became a harem.

Well... I'm not exactly going to share my top ten list, but here are a few of my favorites:

-Code Geass (Whenever someone plays "Madder Sky" I collapse in tears)
-Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars (A space opera/romance/war story. With its own con lang.)
-Black Lagoon (I would have watched an entire episode made up of that OP)
-Sora no Woto (It's like K-ON, but with bits of All Quiet On The Western Front mixed in)
-Planetes (The first anime I watched. It's hard sci-fi. And that's a wonderful thing.)

bobobobobobobobo is one of my favorites, and the only anime i will ever watch. i was very into the first naruto series when it was on toonami in like 2002. i have vhs tapes of that shit.

Hajime no Ippo. Best action anime I've ever seen. Watch Ippo vs Sendo I and II. Ippo vs Date. and Takamura vs Hawk.

Hunter x Hunter.

Fairy Tail.

Log Horizon > Sword Art.

Hopefully they make or I can find the anime version of The Gamer.

I think I've seen like a bit of Attack on Titan before deciding it wasn't for me, I also really like Panty and Stocking but I need to find more of the english dub for it
I've watched a lot of Bleach before losing track of where I was, I want to watch Oreimo, and then I've seen Lucky Star too many times because I was bored

Anime Planet once (I don't know if they still do) have a system whereby you'd record what series you'd watched, how many episodes and also put some on your 'to watch list'. I bring this up because it would approximate the time you had spent watching anime. About four years ago mine was at two months, who knows what it's like now! (It didn't take into account re-watches either).

My favourites are:

Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan - This series is just a bit over the top everywhere, and knows it, and that is why I adore it.
Bleach - my favourite long-term Shounen. Even some of the filler arcs weren't too bad.
Naruto - when it's not being filler-tastic it falls in next to Bleach.
FullMetal Alchemist (both the original and Brotherhood) - both have their virtues but Brotherhood has a more consistent storyline, I feel. Also more Mustang.
CardCaptor Sakura - CardCaptors was part of my childhood. The original Japanese series is so much better it's almost an entirely different series.
Angel Beats - you will both laugh and cry yourself to death.
Sword Art Online and Log Horizon - I prefer Sword Art Online but Log Horizon has the makings of a longer term series which has its benefits.
Fate/Stay anything - the remake by ufotable is gorgeous but I still have a fondness for the original, older series.
Pandora Hearts - I think I join any who saw this with: WANT MORE!
To aru Majutsu no Index/kagaku no Railgun - I do enjoy these both for very different reasons.

Any many others. I got into anime by watching CardCaptor Sakura, The Vision of Escaflowne, Naruto (when it was first airing - that's ten years ago now I believe folks) and FullMetal Alchemist.

Things I've enjoyed:
Legend of the Legendary Heroes - it's been on Netflix for five years and literally no one I know has ever seen it. It's like Fire Emblem and A Song of Ice and Fire had a baby, and that baby was force fed cocaine and locked in a shed for ten years of its life before breaking out and killing its parents with an axe.
Samurai Flamenco - Starts out great, turns into weird shounen stuff, turns into weirder shounen stuff, turns into weird stuff in general, and then ends abruptly. But at least it started out great.
Log Horizon - takes the typical anime MMO premise and snaps it in half, by making you doubt which parts of the game are actually a game, and which parts are real. Plus, it's adorable.
Fate/zero and Fate/stay night - Unlimited Budget Works. Plus, I like the magic system.
Kill la Kill
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure - Battle Tendency's still my favorite part so far, but things have picked up in Stardust Crusaders. Rest in peace, Hamon.

Things I've been told were great and didn't get into:
DraMATical Murder - The cyberpunk background is pretty cool, but the aesthetic is all over the place, and... what even is the plot?
Sword Art Online - The main characters seemed flat, and the whole thing was like .hack// except less interesting. From what I saw of it, anyway.
Attack On Titan - The first few episodes pulled me in, but this series is very good at beating dead horses.

oh yeah, Cerberov's post made me remember .hack//. i played the games but i have never watched the anime besides some clips, i may try and get into that.
i just really enjoy comedy stuff/games that i like that have an anime.
