Posting Guidelines

First and foremost, I would like to discuss posting requirements. Yes, we are in the casual section but that does not mean we are allowed to slack or be boring because a boring role play dies quickly and I’m sure we would all like this to continue for a long while. So here, I will list that which I require from all of us – I included.

No. 1, Post Length
Casual requires us to post only two or three paragraphs, though considering this as a medium casual role play I would like everyone to post to the best of their ability, with a minimum of two paragraphs per post, per character. Between two and six paragraphs per character is ideal, though more than that is always welcome as long as it’s not a drag along bore that we all have to read through. A single paragraph should be between 5 and eight compound sentences. If it's all fragmented double the sentence count.

No. 2, Depth, Description and Quality
When posting, keep in mind that a good quality post has a good amount of description and character depth. As mentioned above, a minimum of three posts is required, but having most of it be just dialogue is unacceptable. Describe facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice and NPC audience reactions when the character does a vast amount of speaking. When passive you can easily speak of how the character relates to others, or their background. Does that make sense?

No. 3, Frequency
I have to say that how often people post tends to greatly affect how a role play progresses. Longer posts do take a certain amount of time to produce, and shorter posts take less time. I would prefer that for now we adhere to the ‘two post rule’ so that we have a sufficient turn order to be able to not leave everyone else behind. As well a post should be written at least once every 36 hours. If you know you will not have time I would ask that you move your character aside and notify me as well as the rest of the group that you will be away for an extended period of time. If you are waiting for someone to post after the 36 hours, let me know and I will attempt to contact them and let them know.

No. 4, Interaction
A post with no action is often hard to respond to, so, even if your character does not often interact with others often or well, then have them do something that could possibly attract attention. If you do not try, then you cannot complain. If you need help, ask in the OOC for tips or to see who is free. And when spoken to, never ignore those who attempt to interact with you.

It was a wonderful day for well anything to happen. The birds were singing and everything seemed to be coming up his way. He had finally gotten the call. The big important call. The one that he had been waiting on for ever since he came to the Academy. The call had basically told him that he had finally been matched. He had gotten the call while swimming in the pool. He did it every single day without fail since he liked how calm it was. Also since he was on the swim team he could use that as an excuse to swim when he wanted to.

When he had gotten the call he hadn't even had time to change. He was still dripping wet as he hastily pulled on his tight black shirt and blue jeans. He was too excited to really care. The Match Program was said to truly work at finding your true love and deep down Jack was a hopeless romantic. But after today he would know for sure who he would love for the rest of his days.

As he ran he dried off a bit. His shirt started to cling to his chest making it look even more tight, but he didn't care. It did however give his black hair a just messy enough look. All in all he looked better than before. Still he kept going until eventually he arrived at the school. He then started to walk and calm himself down. He had to make a good impression on his match. So he walked up to the third floor and knocked on the door.He then walked into the room to meet his match. He had no idea who he would see there.

Damian Luv
Match Office

The young man had been in his dorm room earlier this afternoon, sitting on the futon with a friend of his and just watching television; of course said friend was a girl on skype who was watching the same show as it aired this morning, when his cell phone rang. He hadn't recognized the number at first and paused the show to stand and take the call in the other room, his quiet feet bear on the cold tile floor of their kitchenette. ’‘Damian Luv? We've located your match. And that was all the young man had needed to hear for him to hit end and quickly say good bye to his friend before jumping into the shower. He couldn't just be dirty when meeting his match for the first time; he had to make a good impression so he would like him, regardless of how he dressed. He dried and dressed and was out the door with plenty of time to spare to make it to the office before the time of the meeting.

Damian could feel his heart hammering in his chest and his fingers trembled with anticipation as he walked across the campus, his dark jeans complimenting his long legs while the black sweater he wore concealed most of his awkwardly pale skin and the tattoo’s on his arms. He hoped that his match didn't mind tattoo’s too much, because each one was a part of the young man’s life one way or another. His dark black hair reflected the light with a gloss and deep purple sheen as he stepped through the patches of sunlight between trees; his eyes were a soft shade of blue that sparked with his excitement at finally being able to meet someone who could love him for who he was, someone he wouldn't have to pretend for anymore. At the door to the Match Office he lifted a pale, long fingered hand and turned the doorknob, painted black nails matching the dog collar he wore around his neck and the makeup he had thrown on. Surprisingly though he didn't look scary or depressing dressed in all the black with the eye liner or the strange accessories; he was elegant and gangly in his own strange way.

Walking inside he had assumed he would see his match waiting for him but there was no one but Mr. Harada there and the older man beckoned him inside. ‘He was at swim practice so he might take a bit to get here.’ The man explained, it was the same man as on the phone and the young homosexual nodded quietly, butterflies fluttered anxiously in his stomach. Swim practice? Then he must be the athletic type that had never really shown much interest in the thin, stay-home boy who liked to bake instead of play ball. He was pacing, his black high tops making very little sound on the plush carpet that he walked on and he marveled at how plain the room was until he heard the doorknob turn and saw the door crack open just a hair. His match was here.

Mid step the door opened to reveal one of the older, taller and clearly more attractive men at the school – one that which Damian had no idea had been gay – and the smaller boy nearly fell over as he tripped over his own foot and that pesky out of place air molecule. Righting himself he stared for a moment, taking in the man’s disheveled hair, the dampness of his clothes and the way that a bead of water or sweat trickled down the man’s neck. He felt heat spread across his face as he blushed, his pale skin turning a bright shade of red as he looked away and down, bowing his head slightly so that his slightly too long hair fell into his face and hid his features from view.

Eliza Brindelwood
Gym

Just listen to the music she thought to herself as she stood alone in one of the dance practice rooms in the gym. The soulful tug of strings and movement of fingers across a piano rushed over her as she gently closed her eyes and began to dance slowly, moving in slow, small movements. She spun around in a pirouette and bowed down into a graceful dip as the song dipped as well into a diminuendo. She pointed her toes and spun about the floor, leaping and skipping in a graceful motion that most would mistake for dancing. As the music picked up to a livelier beat, she began to laugh and spun around the floor even faster. There was a reason for dancing today.

She had just been told that they had found a match for her.

She was so excited, but she didn't want to seem too desperate or too hasty, so she decided to go to the gym rather than heading straight to the Match Office. You need to go after this song, though she told herself as she spun from one corner of the small room to the next. She smiled and flipped her hair, uncovering her pointed ears. The dark brown strands danced with her as the music slowed and she finished off with a graceful bow to the front of the room, to the mirrors that showed her every movement. She smiled at herself in the mirror once before walking over to her bag and hiking it up close around her shoulder.

She then hurried down to the match office, becoming invisible to the public eye once more as she maneuvered easily around people. She got to the Match Office just in time to see two boys being Matched off. She stared in wonder, curious on how they were feeling, before she sat down gently in one of the waiting chairs. She flipped open her journal and began to write, waiting to be called upon to meet her Match.

Jess was strolling around on campus with her favorite pair of drumsticks in her hands. She was thinking up a nice rhythm and twirling the sticks expertly. She was kind of hungry and on her way to the cafe to grab something to eat. She wasn't really into the 'themed' days or maids they had, but their sandwiches were really good so she hung out there a lot, sometimes with friends and other times, like right now, alone. She sat in her usual table and ordered her usual meal. While waiting for her food, she began to tap softly on the table with her sticks, trying not to bother the other guests. Tap. tap. tap. tap.

When her food finally arrived, she put away her sticks and began to eat. Suddenly she remembered that she had recently been called up because they had apparently "found her match", whatever that meant. She was unsure whether she wanted to go or not, but figured she might as well humor them a little. Her brother wouldn't like it if she ditched and would feel comforted if she somehow found her 'match' at this weird school. So after she finished eating and paid for her food, she made her way to the infamous Match Office. Currently there was already a potential couple there, so she waited outside the door, and went back to twirling her drum sticks. "I really hope this isn't a waste of time..." she thought to herself.

Jack walked in and saw the boy in front of him. He smiled at the guy but really could not see his face. However Jack had a good deal of skill at remembering people's faces. "Wait... Damien right? That's your name right?" He asked him smiling his best smile at the guy. he put his hand on Damien's shoulder to stabilize him."We have Biology together." He said still extremely excited. This guy was his type. He did not want another jock or an asshole. This guy seemed to be a nice shy type. Jack was definitely intrigued. "I'm Jack. So uhh want to go head to our new apartment?" He asked leading Damien out the door. He wanted to know more about this guy but not right now. Jack could respect the other guy's space.

There was something special about this guy. Jack knew he had to pull all the stops for this guy.

Oliver jabbed and faked a dodge as he hit on his worn out punching bag. It had been a gift from his father and it was one of the few ones that Oliver could remember from his father. His bright red and blue boxing gloves flashed as he kept hitting. Some people had ways of dealing with stress that made sense. Oliver beat the hell out of a punching bag. This one was inside of the gym and it was the closest that he could use. He knew that a match had been found and that made him stressed as all heck.

He decided that he couldn't hide any longer so he turned and pulled his gloves off and tied the strings together. He put them around his neck and walked off. He couldn't be late so he had to get there soon. When he got there he saw two girls standing there but one stood out to him, the one with the journal. He had no idea why but he decided to walk up to her. "I am no expert but I am guessing you are my match? I'm Oliver." He said offering his hand to her. He gave her his best smile that he could.

I wonder how long they've been observing us. Hey, she's pretty cute, I wonder if it's her, I'd totally hit it. I'm probably gonna be late. These are all thoughts that passed through the mind of a horned boy as he walked to the room where he was called. He took his sweet time, as he usually did when walking, if she was truly his match, she could wait. He didn't care if she was there or not, exercise was good either way. Fuck, what if it's a guy, I hope they don't think I'm into that, my asshole stays tight. Period.

He paused as he entered the building where the room was at. He didn't wanna seem desperate so he waited downstairs for a bit. He pulled his guitar around, then started to play 'Lithium'. After finishing the song, he slung the Stratocaster onto his back and walked to the room, as he approached, seeing a girl. Her, drumsticks, it was her. Definitely her, if it wasn't her. He was requesting her, but it was. He knew it. "Sup, drumsticks?" he said as he approached, tail flickering behind him.

Alex Rodriguez

The day was nice, a little chilly but that was expected in the fall. The tree's and fall flowers swayed gently in the breeze as if they were dancing, a special dance just for him. Alex loved the garden, not many knew that, but then he didn't really talk to anyone around here. Not many would talk to a scarred and ugly guy, or that's the vibe he got from most people. Most people looked at his scars and thought he was was horrible to look at, but he didn't hide is battle wounds. He was proud of them, it showed that he faught hard and came out victorious, maybe not whole either in mind or body, but he was victorious all the same. Most people he actually talked to asked why he didn't cover them and he would tell them that it showed who was shallow. They would get a sour look on their faces then leave him, which just ended up proving his point.

Alex was sitting in one of the tree's in the garden, he knew that he would look odd as most people his didn't climb trees any more, let alone sit in them. But he didn't care, he just wanted to relax before heading to one of his classes not that he wanted to go to them. But his aunt was paying for this, so he would please and pass every class. He had no idea why she chose this school to put him in, this school had that weird Match Program were students were matched with other students that were to be their "true love". Alex had a hard time believing that, but he was slightly curious to see who he would be matched with. He was bisexual, so he could be matched with just about anyone. At least there was no shortage of potential "loved ones" for him, he just hoped who ever he was paired with wouldn't be put off by his scars.

This is stupid, even if they didn't mind the physical scars..... I have others. He thought as took in a deep slow breath and shutting his eyes. He knew that who ever they paired him with, they would have to deal with scars that couldn't be seen. No, its best if I'm not matched. He thought but knew he would be as everyone in this school would be matched, no one went without a match. Jumping down from tree, he stood pushing his blonde hair out of his dark brown, nearly black, eyes. "I guess I should go." He said lowly to himself. But instead of heading to class, like he should have, he walked further into the garden. Maybe he would run into someone or maybe he would be alone.

"Sup, drumsticks?"

Jess looked up to see a guy about her age, well it was kind of a guy. He had horns and a tail, so she assumed he was at least part demon. Noticing his sweet guitar, she decided he just might be worth her time.

"Same as you, probably," she answered back coolly. "Unless you like hanging around this stupid office for fun."

She put her drumsticks into her back pocket and leaned back against the wall. "Are you any good?" she asked, motioning towards the guitar with her head while her arms are crossed in front of her chest. "Why don't you play me something?" She tried not to get her hopes up. There were a lot of posers around here that pretended to be cool just by swinging a guitar around their necks. Still, she couldn't help but feel that he just might be the real deal.

"Yeah, totally, this is my home away from home." he replied sarcastically. He wish he lived instead of with his whore-ass mom."Yeah, I'm probably the best in this school, if anyone else even plays. I don't have an amp on me, but if you insist." She seemed legit, he knew she could drum, or at least keep rhythm, he'd seen her tapping around campus. "Any requests? I can probably play any song you know." He added, confident in both his knowledge and skill.

He spun the guitar around and pulled an iridescent pick that was between the strings on the top fret, giving her a quizzical look. "Also, if I play, you have to drum along, if you even know how."he added finally as he tuned the guitar by ear.

Damian Luv
Match Office

The last thing Damian had been expecting was for the man to reach out and touch him, help his balance himself and not letting go right away. It was rare that anyone reached out to him in such a way that the gay was unable to say anything for several moments while he looked up at him through the dark bangs that parted over his nose. He had made certain that they were perfect in advance but his clumsy gawking and near face plant – that the larger jock had saved him from – had made his just perfectly messy hair an embarrassing mess and as he looked up at him he looked away again and started mixing the dark locks while Jack said his name. “Damian Luv.” He stated, trying to sound confident and sure of what he was doing but still his voice cracked in the middle of it and he clapped a hand over his mouth with a dreadful sigh.

He was already off to a terrible start wasn’t he? The goth boy looked up just as his match stepped toward the door, a hand on his shoulder to guide him out first while an arm help the door above him. He was being so nice; too nice for the man he tended to watch swimming from the top of the science building. “I know we have biology together Jack.” The boy looked back over his shoulder at Jack and felt the familiar heat spreading across his face to see him smiling at him so widely, the corners of his own mouth turning up in a sheepish grin that ended up lopsided and awkward. It wasn’t often that he had a reason to smile in all honestly, between the bullying and the homework and the lack of a social life in general. It was all very drab and day-to-day, but it was familiar and when going to see their new room popped up in the swimmers excited voice the younger paused, careful that both feet were on the ground this time, and turned around to look at Jack.

Haru Nanaya
Café

"Mhmhm... Oh yeah, I have plenty experience when it comes to cooking and I just love people! I don't mind having to dress up ether, I'll supply my own costume too!"
Haru was talking to the manager of the local café, he was trying really hard to get a job at the café, both to earn some extra money and as an excuse to wear cute costumes. He began listing great reasons as to why he should be hired.

"And you see that is why-"
With a big smile, Haru finished off the interview with a thankyou and a goodbye. They asked Haru to come later in the afternoon and they would decide then if he got the job or not. Because of this, Haru gleefully walked back to school, heading towards the school, in an effort to have a chat with somebody. That, and get to class.

Kuro hated this, he is freaking enrolled in this school! Had to take this stupid match program for his own mental helath and now is going to meet his suppsed partner and all that bullshit. He didnt need this, he needed his self only...and Nezu that is all he needs. He sighed again, this bullshit is hurting his head and tehre was too many people...crowds ugh. Quickly he tried to go away from the crowd and sat on the bench. Nezu came out of his chest pocket and squeaked very cutely.

"Nezu...why...why are we here?" He whispered to his best friend, Nezu just squeaked again and went onto his shoulder. Luckily with the help of his therapist Nezu was okay to be with him at all times. Kuro just laughed, he was happy Nezu was with him...it kept him happy atleast. They sat there with Kuro talking to a mouse, people looked at him wierdly and few even took pictures of rat boy but he didnt care he had himself and Nezu and that all it matters.

Elise Hall
Crescent Dorm

"Hmph" Elise puffed, marching towards the dorms wearing a stuffed backpack and carrying a cardboard box full of her personal belongings. She has been enrolled since the beginning of the school year, but due to personal circumstances had to miss the past few weeks. She was kinda excited to get a fresh start, things have been a bit awkward between her and her best friend after the confession. But this time things would be different. This time she was staying in a dorm, and dorm full of girls! There had to be at least a few girls who likes girls somewhere in this school!

Elise frowned when she saw the uninviting staircase ahead of her. It took an annoying amount of effort, but she finally made it to her dorm and plopped down on her new bed. Her roommates weren't there, probably checking out the match making thing. Even though she thought is was silly and pointless, she saw no harm in signing up for fun. She whipped out her phone and opened up the Match Program app to check her status.

0 matches. Matching may take time, please check back later.

Well... that's reassuring. At least she didn't get matched with a guy.

Haru Nanaya
The Garden

Haru wandered back into the school grounds. He liked the school it was very high class and felt like he was in an anime. When he entered the school grounds he was greeted by a few his friends from the dorm. They began to discuss the match system. Haru acted disinterested, yet in truth, he was excited to meet his supposed true love.

"Yeah, it seems kinda cool, but, to be honest... I dunno anybody that would match up with me. Hahaha!"

After another minute of talking, Haru grew bored and wandered off to the schools' garden. Its a really wonderful place. Almost magical, very peaceful. Haru didn't dislike it, because he sometimes took naps there, but other than that... There isn't much for him to do. If you were quiet, you could almost hear faint voices from the school grounds...

... Haru tilted his head and thought to himself.
"Wait a second... That is somebodies voice!" Haru peered around a hedge and noticed a boy talking to a small mouse. 'Cool' Haru thought. Haru didn't particually like animals, but a mouse is an unusual choice for a pet.

Haru came out of hiding.
"That's a pretty cool pet you have! Nezu..? Is that its name? Pretty cute haha!"

Nezu jump down Kuro's shoulder and went closer the unknow male. He gave put a very cute squeak and looked back at Kuro. "...." Kuro didnt say anything nor looked back at the guy, why should he? He doesn't seemed important at all and only noticed Nezu. "...he is not cute..." Kuro grumbled out still not looking at the guy. Jack looked over at Damien. Jack had an odd view of people. He didn't like to see people acting different than they would outside of their normal lives. That's why he liked seeing Damien like this. He seemed natural but very very worried. Jack could tell something was making him like this. Still Jack had to try and calm the other man down. He had seen him around the campus but now he had a reason to talk to him.

"Well yah. I was think cause you know we are matched? "Jack said sounding worried as he scratched his short hair. "I was thinking it would be easier for us to get to know each other if we lived together. I'm a pretty good roommate if that's the issue. "He said still sound nervous. He removed his hand from Damien's shoulder. He stood to the side to let someone else be matched. "I just think it would be nice to meet the real you Damien. I mean I know you from campus but that doesn't count. "He said still excited and talking.

Ichika Tomari
The Garden

Today was the day. Today he would meet the girl he was going to spend the rest of his life with, the girl who would love him. Ichika was feeling a strange combination of nervous, and excited. He would already have met her, had the Match Offices not already been full, so he had to wait, even though the waiting was unbearable. He wanted his match and he wanted her now

In order to help pass the time as painlessly as possible, Ichika was spending his time in the garden. It was always quite and peaceful in here, so he could come here to be alone with his thoughts. Granted his thoughts always ended up being about his unknown match, even before she had been found...but still. Something else pleasant about this place was that it was nice and sunny. Ichika liked the sun; it was bright and warm. Just like his match was, he just knew it

What would she be like, he wondered. Would she want to move in with him right away, or would she want to wait? What kinds of things would she like to eat? What would she want to do? These questions were swirling around in his head so much that it was a little disorienting. "I'm finally going to meet her; my destined one"

Momoko Kaede
Garden

Momoko had been talking a nice stroll through the gardens after she found that the Match Office was full from the overflow of Matched pairs that had also been made today. Just my luck, I suppose. She thought as she took in the beautiful scenery. She hadn't really minded though, she was extremely nervous when she found out that they Matched her so quickly. She had heard stories of people who didn't meet their Match until their senior year here.

Her mind finally drifted to the subject of who her Match was. The message they had sent her on the app was very vague. What if he was one of the shapeshifting students she had heard about? Or maybe it was someone she had already met? Was he nice? Would he like her? Would he judge her when they started to get to know each other? Momoko stopped and admired some roses. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out...

Ichika Tomari
Garden

Ichika was brought out of his thoughts by his phone vibrating. Hope surged through his heart as he tried to pull it out as fast as he could, although in his haste he fumbled with it and he dropped it. Though fortunately he was sitting down, so not only did it not fall far, but it wasn't so much as scratched. Once he had grabbed his phone, he opened up the app he had received when he came here to check it for messages, he found one. It said that it was going to take longer then expected for there to be room in the Match Offices for him and is Match, so they just sent him her name and picture

Momoko Kaede

"This...this is her; the girl who will love me for the rest of our lives." A smile grew on Ichika's face the was bright enough to light up a room; he finally found her. Now that he knew the identity of his Match, his excitement took over his common sense. Since he had no idea where she was, the smart thing to do would be to ask around. No one would find it strange if he showed them the message. However what he ended up doing was different; he instead went of blindly in search of her, first going through all of the garden to find her
