Whooo!!!

Anyways, down to business.

Who should be on the defense/offense and what's the rough ratio of things?

@ClocktowerEchosI think you should be on the defensive since:
1.) My doctrine is a bit like Blitzkrieg. I am not so good at defending.
2.) You were the one taking back parts of the penisula during the second war, it's my turn to be on the offense

As for ratios, do you mean how many aircrafts and tanks one has?
Well, just pick any big WW2 nation not called the Soviets or America. See what is their force ratio is.
Or pick a specific WW2 battle and see what was the ratio of their forces.
That should be good enough. So long your numbers aren't insanely high I think it's good enough.
Remember this is early WW2 in terms of industry and such, even if tech wise our nations were closer to mid-WW2.

Battle of Bir El Gubi, a tank battle against entrenched Italian forces in 1941.
The map in the hider is the landscape from that.
I think it should be of good use for use for this fight.

Alright, seems good.

I'm now looking up stuff and editing the format of the NS I originally used. Christ its bad looking back on it, at least I left it half done-ish.

EDIT: I'm assuming we're leaving naval stuff out of this picture right?

Added an intro like part to the characters page. It includes the NS of both Yamatai and Yllendthyr from the original game.
Hope you don't mind.

Well, that was your suggestion prior.
I think this is going to be messed up enough already, even without naval assistance.

So true, this will get messy XD

As of right now tho, do you see anything in the NSs which may require attention? As of right now I can see somethings on my end that require some balancing/edits.

@ClocktowerEchosOn my end? My units are fine albeit I may need to nerf my Orchaldyn heavy tanks.
Resisting point-blank 133mm fire? Sheesh, what was I even thinking?
Aside from that I think it's okay. You may wish to have radio jamming equipment, though.

Of course it's possible that I may nee to invent more unit types to fill out every role but I'll run them by you anyways.

Nah, Yamatai would see radio jamming as dishonorable and stuff

I'll most likely end up taking out some units and editing some others that would naturally seem more late-war than the others.
I'll be putting up a revised version of the IYA in the Chars tab soon.
That said, I'm also reminded I need to come up with commanders and generals. Don't think his holiness the Emperor would be on the frontlines quite like this.

My flying bombs are radio controlled.
You may want to rethink this whole honor thing fast.

No need for revisions to be in a new tab. Or hell, let's do that.
Let's make a separate post where we list the weapons and unit types. That way it may be less of a pain to backtrack info.

Also define what you mean by late war. Technically all my stuff are at best 1942 tech level if that. The rest are just the mithril and damn elves fault. When not staring at the Ymheodr's crotch-skull with religious awe they are actually quite decent engineers.

Remember, I have some pretty damn good machine guns and AA after you whooped my ass with your air force in a previous engagement (if we're still counting that as canon). Yamatai learned quick to get better things to shoot at things that fly to the point we have enough Dakka to make orcs jealous. :P

I'm saying things that would look more proper in like the 1944-1945. The Chi-Ni-Sugoi is an example, I don't see the Black Doom Turtle being around too early nor does the Exprimental Heavy SMG or semi-auto look right to me.

@ClocktowerEchosIf i make it 1944-45 my technology would undergo a drastic change.
I deliberately chose a close date so we don't need to rewrite our sheets.
By 1944 I'd be parading around with jet fighters and first gen guided weapons among others.
Anyways, I can't see why you need late WW2 era for heavy AA guns.
Also I thought it was the point that the Black Turtle is just a myth or a rare and prohibitedly expensive tank. Say a true super prototype.
My heavy tanks would be owned by a smug noble's Aramegir and they would be a wholly independent unit with rather small numbers.
Your Black Turtle could be a "hero tank" of sorts. Say, the Lancelot of your nation. Except it's a tank.
As for semi-auto rifles and machineguns, nothing stops you from having them. 1942/43 development means they can be pretty much standard.

As for AA effectiveness, only one-third of the V1s were shot down by the combined efforts of Britain's AA and fighter interception. You'd have far less of these and potentially more frequent and more accurate bombings. I am not saying you'll be annihilated or anything close. With the limit of 10,000 I can't even have one of my supreme airships which is actually fine because that's the air equivalent of navy support. My flying bombs also have weaknesses other than radio jamming but I leave that for you to find out.

@Willy VerebAhh alright then, I'll restore my sheet to its more or less original state.
We'll be going in full force then I guess? :P

The idea of a hero units definately intrigues me, I'll look into that more.
Kinda sounds like warhammer, but I can totally roll with that.

As for the AA, if you send enough bullets up, you should in theory hit something by Yamatai's logic anyways.
And what if you can't hit it? Then clearly you aren't using enough bullets

We might also want to get cracking on the actual numbers of this whole thing and draw up battle plans.

Something else that's pretty important, how long have I stayed entrenched and would I know you're coming?

I'm going to say that I'm pretty well dug in and have heard bits and pieces of you being in the area but nothing saying "expect an attack here"

I leave the details to you but Yllendthyr is now doing a blitzkrieg and their tanks have ridiculous strategic mobility. Think of the Soviet BT tanks on steroids.
On the other hand the overwhelming majority of my tank forces are light tanks.

Also I hardly hear you mention it but you use sakuradite explosives so ou should have the ton to ton advantage over me in terms of boom power. This may also help you a bit with anti-air weapons. I suppose your 20mm HEI has the same explosive force as the famed 30mm shells from WW2.

Oh christ, that's mildly threatening. Mildly XD

The Sakurite is why I'm fairly chill about your air crafts against me since I'm sending a lot of HEI up and each has a pretty big boom. Big booms and lots of booms tend to make pretty fireworks :3

Anyways, I'll start drawing up some numbers and wonder how the hell am I supposed to detail stuff on the map since I'm actually lacking MS Paint or PS. I have an idea tho...

Speaking of which how effective is Sakuradite compared to TNT?
Give me a sorts of power multiplier.
1.5
2.0
3.0
How effective?

With current refining abilities its 1.5-2.0 depending on the shell/use.

Greandes and mines tend to be on the smaller side towards 1.5
Smaller bombs and most artillery shells at roughly 1.75
Large shells for big guns and ship cannons and big bombs are at 2.0

I see. Well, that's only slightlty better than RDX in general which has the RE factor of
1.5 IIRC.
What is the reason brhind the varying rates?
Refining rate? Mixing it with cheaper explosives?

Pretty much.
Its depends on how fine the powder is refined to and how much other stuff is in the mix.
