For the first time three days, the Monroe was quiet... The massive ship sailed soundlessly through the void of space. Its exterior battle damaged with energy blasts, metal scars, and burn marks covering it. This ship was not an ordinary one. On board were the galaxy's longest surviving Stellar Exploration team: The Marauders. A group made mostly of criminals, but after surviving for three years, the Committee has (somewhat) warmed up to them, and has given them some slack...

But ever since their last mission, the enemy has shown no sign of giving some slack. Their mission was to liberate a colony that was being held captives and used as slaves by a species of things that reminded the Captain of naked mole rats, except their teeth held the galaxy's deadliest poison. They were successful, but every single time the Marauders thought they were safe, the Rat Ships appeared out of slip space, and started attacking. For three days.

No one's had any sleep.

But that's changed. After their last encounter and getaway, they have had no encounters for the longest time yet. After high tensions the Captain finally ordered everyone to try and get some sleep. Inside the captain's quarters, soft classical jazz played throughout the room. The room was scattered with electronic debriefing tablets, maps of the recent worlds the Monroe has traveled, and weapon parts. Shelves were lined with momentos from three years of serving as the captain. Horns of different shapes and sizes, small jewels, even some cards that were sent to the ship from colonies they've saved. In the center of the room was his desk where his private computer was, and a picture of a beautiful woman holding a young girl with a missing tooth smile, and her arm around a older boy with a crooked grin.

For three long years Captain Raymond Chase has kept this ship intact through everything thrown at them by the Committee, the bad guys, and everything in between, and of course he's had some help. Raymond sat on his bed, giving a sigh of relief. It felt good to sit down and not hear ship alarms. To be fair, this wasn't the worst obstacle that's been in his way. It wasn't himself that he was worried about, he was more worried about the rookies, and the people who were crazy enough to volunteer to be on the galaxy's deadliest ships.

They trusted Raymond. He was sure rumors were spread about his past, and his crime. He came from a line of space explorers, he was a golden boy in the army, and then he was accused of killing his step dad and neighbors. No one knows if Raymond really did it except Doctor Rae Driani. someone who actually volunteered to be on board, and has constantly saved Ray's life. In returned she shared a part of her past, and since then the two have had a strong bond and trust towards each other.

As Raymond sat there in silence, his left hand started to shake. A side effect from his first failure. Three years ago when he first got this ship, he promised himself that he wasn't going to fail again. Not on his crew, not on himself, and certainly not on his sister Anna. He threw his dark blue athletic shirt aside, and finally collapsed on the bed, grateful to be in this potion right now--

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED." A voice on the intercom blared with a loud alarm. Ray shot straight up and walked outside of the captain's quarters, storming down the hallway. "God damn space rats. Rise and shine people! We have company!" Raymond said loudly, banging on the doors of people's rooms. He was still shirtless but knowing the enemy's attack style they didn't have any time to waste before they started firing. "Captain, I am detected six enemy ships coming at us from the Starboard side." A robotic voice said through the intercom.

The Monroe was fitted with an AI. Next to Raymond a couple others, they were the original crew mates. The AI's name is Tango. "Six? That's less than their last attack, but I'm still wondering why they were able to find us, Tahillie." Ray said in a heated tone. Ever since the first ambush their team scouter has been hard at work trying to find a way to escape their radar and tracking device. It obviously hasn't been working. Raymond was in a sprint now, going from corner to corner until he reached the main deck, with large glass windows showing the cosmos. The physical form of Tango was sitting behind a large set of controls and computers. His metal skeleton was shaded a worn down blue, his eyes glowed white, and his metallic fingers were hard at work. His head turned a full 180 degrees to see Raymond.

"Captain on de--"

"Not now, Tango!" Ray said as he went to the right side of the room where a ladder was. He kept muttering to himself as he climbed, reaching a bomber window with a seat and large gun inside. "Marauders in position! These might be the last of 'em, and if they're not, I hope you got some sort of antidote for their poison teeth, Doctor." Raymond pressed a few buttons on the terminal system, the large guns starting up and scanning the cosmos for the enemies.

It was so quiet, peaceful, no problems, nothing going on just a simple normal day for the Marauders. "Ah. It feels so nice to just be in my room and relax." said Meghan while reading up some magazine about fashion, while drinking a cup of tea. It was relaxing, and a day for her to stay in and not do anything. The others were probably sleeping or doing their own thing, but Meghan instead liked to relax, she wasn't even sleepy or anything. Meghan sipped her cup of tea, placing that cup back down on the table before standing up from her chair to look out the window. A beautiful sight, and once again.. nothing was happening. It was like she was dreaming about being in peace.

Not that it wasn't fun to protect the others and fight against those who want to harm them. Yes, it was fun but at times it gets out of hand and that was something that Meghan didn't want to do -all- day. Meghan turned around, grabbing her cup of tea, going in for a sip but...

'"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

Meghan was startled, the cup of tea dropping onto the table and spilling out everywhere around. She muttered some curse words before turning around to walk out of her room and running towards the problem. "What's going on now? I thought this was going to be a peaceful day or something! I was almost getting ready for bed too!" Meghan yelled, she was wearing simple bednight clothings, white tank-top, shorts and her socks.

'Marauders, position!'

Yelled Raymond, Meghan nodded before going into her position as she always does when trouble like this happens. Pressing a few buttons to get ready for some mean shooting! "Ready, captain." Meghan spoke in a serious tone, whomever these space rats were, they seriously had no idea who they messed with!

"Just loosen the screw up here. . ." Tymea muttered as she was focused on a small item in her hands. Various tools were spread on her workbench as she looked over the tiny thing. A small project, the device was suppose to work as a life sign detector that alerted to incoming life signatures. Of course, it wasn't something that would work in theory. It simply was just something to kill time and keep her hands and mind busy while they waited for the next unexpected attack. "Now, what if I tinker with this for a little bit. . ." She toyed with some of the parts and fiddle with the programming a little. Adjusting the sensor to reach outside the ship and not inside. "Now, let's reseal the item. . ." Blip, blip, blip. "YEA! It's responding to something!" Tyrea cheered aloud as the device made small little sounds. The little screen displayed blips like a sonar map. . . A little under a dozen dots! Wait. . . "That's just us." She couldn't help but sigh at her failure. "Guess I could try to fix--"

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

This completely took Tymea off-guard. "GYAAAAAAA!" She exclaimed, so into her thoughts that when the warning came up she completely wasn't expecting it. The Life Detector flew out of her hand and crashed against the wall with a smack then falling and cracking on the floor all the while she was falling backwards toward the open floor. When she stood back up, Tymea finally noticed the damaged device and couldn't help but freeze. . . "Wissenschaft verdammt!" She exclaimed when she came out of her short-lived paralyzed state. With little reason to stay around, Tymea dragged herself to the bridge trying to rebuild her outward persona on the way.

On arrival. . . Well, somehow the only people ahead of her were the Captain himself and Meghan. "Captain, Meghan. . ." Tymea muttered. A small yet sly smile crossed her face as she continued, "Blast those enemies of Science to smithereens for me!" Confidence was abound on her face as if she were going to start shooting the on-board weapons herself. Not that having her do that would be a good idea anyhow, probably.

The lasting sense of dread and weariness filled the ship as they ran for their lives from the swarm of Sekváls, the fleshy pink beings with venomous fangs and small beady eyes, that were hot on their tail since they first made contact three days ago. They rarely gave the crew time to detect them either, always appearing from the warp, materialising like a fish leaping from water. In the wake of this continual battle, there had been some damage to the ship, of that anyone was sure, as well as several new twisted masses of metal that would act as tombs for the Sekváls that had been on their tail.

Shaso͞on had chosen to spend much of this time meditating in his quarters, a former storage closet that gave him enough space to sit and peer into the Ulnar. From his quarters he could feel the exhaustion creeping up on the warriors he served with, their minds thrumming with exasperated sighs at the sight of every Sekválian ship that fell out of warp and opened fire. Not all of them could find rest through the calming of the mind, most, if not all of the crew, having to lay down for several hours to find energy and repair their bodies. Shaso͞on had spent much of the past few days in meditation, knowing he was of little help to the Marauders in most of these firefights. He had been toying with an idea of what he could do if this onslaught continued and was beginning to lean towards the act of leaving the ship to infiltrate one of the Sekválian ships. He hadn't yet made his thoughts known, in part because he had yet to find a common tongue between himself and the warriors for what they called the Sekváls and in part because he was sure his act would be denied if he gave the others time to think about it.

Though he was sitting in his quarters, the walls of his domain were far more expansive than that of a typical storage closet, his mind having slipped from the material world into the Ulnar. When moving through the void, the connection to the Ulnar became less clear, though with work Shaso͞on had found a way to immerse himself into it as deeply as one could. He had to inject the entirety of his consciousness into the Ulnar in order to clearly interpret what the Shakseer had to offer. Shaso͞on could feel the minds of all who were aboard the ship now in utter clarity. The minds of the Marauders were tumultuous and thoughts seemed fragmented, amplified by the deprivation of sleep. He could sense some of their pains and he knew of their wills to live. His thoughts lingered on touching their minds with a sense of peace and calm to soothe the tensions, but withdrew himself before he attempted to alter the minds of his new brothers and sisters. He began to withdraw from the Ulnar at that moment, feeling the lingering hunger begining to gnaw at him, and as he slipped from the Ulnar back into his humble quarters, he caught the sense of something coming. Many things coming.

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

Shaso͞on's large emerald eyes opened wide and he was quickly moving, donning his urellian cuffs and clasp as well as he hooded cloak, all of which linked into the armour he had been wearing since their mission three days prior. The door slid open, nudged open slightly faster with a shove of his hand and a push of energy. His lithe form shot through the metallic corridors, his hands adjusting and activating his clasp and cuffs as he moved. An burst of blue light appeared around him for only a moment before hexagonal fractals shimmered and disappeared around him, his shield up and ready to take whatever would be sent his way.

"Raymond Chase," His stern ethereal voice reached out into the mind of Raymond. Shaso͞on shot around another corner, reaching the first door of a two stage system to the void around them. His fingers clamped down onto the release button, setting off a warning klaxon before opening up and allowing him to step into the intermediate section. The door sealed behind him, the klaxon silencing once it shut. "Releasing the starboard airlock. I will meet one of their ships head on and gather information. Do your best not to confuse me with the enemy," He spoke, his voice now slipping into the minds of the entire ship.

The airlock slid open, the air shrieking as it rushed from the room into the void of space. Shaso͞on spilled out into the silent void, floating and twisting until he had stabilised and with some focus, sent controlled bursts of psionic energy from his cuffs to propel him forward toward the incoming ships. And then he simply ceased moving. To the incoming ships he would look like a corpse floating free. Most races had never met a Ju'yavāl. Less had seen what they were capable of. His shield could briefly insulate him from the cold. His lack of orifices removed the risk of destroying his organs. His body's need to feed on cosmic radiation was an added bonus. Raymond had seen him do this maneuver once before, early on in his tenure with the Marauders, so that reduced the chance of his efforts being hindered by friendly fire. The new blood however, well, anything was possible.

Insomnia was a hell of a thing.
There was screaming, she held a child in her arms as she guided her ship. Her ship was transporting civilians when they stumbled into a war zone. It was all her fault. All her fault.

Addy sat at her station, putting in input from their most recent adventures. She made maps based on where they've been. She was tired but she couldn't sleep. Every time she closed her eyes she could see the death and destruction that she caused.
She was the last one to emerge from the ruins of her ship. When she emerged, she was immediately tackled to the ground. She saved over four hundred lives, but it didn't seem to matter a bit.

Addy didn't react when she heard the child's laughter echoing around in her head. She knows what causes it, sleep deprivation does a number on a person's head. Addy was used to it, though, and didn't think much of them.
The blaring sirens however weren't part of her hallucinations and she groaned.

"Morning Cap." She said sarcastically as he blew through and into his gun station. She started booting up the hyper drive. Only problem is it took 9 minutes and 53 seconds to do so.
"Tango, if you could start the countdown and give me a visual on the ships." Adalaide started turning the ship to face the enemy ships, in order to become a smaller target and because most of their staffed guns are on the front of the ship. The ship was so large, they only truly occupied a fraction of what they're probably supposed too. Which means there's a lot that they can't secure.
"Hey Cap, we took a fair amount of damage that first fight avec ces petites merdes, and they got quite a few hits on us. Any chance there's a tracking device on the outside of the ship? That's how they keep finding us? Because I know they're not following us." Addy mused as she finished turning the ship to the side and then she got the alerts one of the air locks had been opened, and then she heard Shaso͞on in her head and she hit the dash, swearing violently.

"Je jure devant Dieu baise tout le monde sur ce putain de putain navire est fou." Addy muttered, before checking the countdown, taking deep, calming breaths.
"Cap, we have a little under eight minutes until we can warp." Addy advised him, as she brought up all the ships readings from energy levels to the shields integrity levels. She watched as the idiot flew towards the rat people and watched for the rat people's first move.

Elyse was passed out in her bed, drooling on some laminated data sheets and infrared images sprawled out on the bed. She was in her normal clothes, her reading glasses smudged against her face. She’d fallen asleep reading the data and comparing it to the images. After the three days of constant attack and stress, Elyse was exhausted. At first she thought the free time would give her a good chance to read over some of the data she hadn’t been able to analyze before due to the aliens’ obnoxious appearances. Unfortunately, Elyse had conked out the second she had laid down and gotten comfortable.

Plus, Elyse wasn’t used to the constant fear of attack. She’d only been on the ship for three weeks, making the past three days confusing as hell for the new crewmember. Thankfully, Raymond was patient and kind enough to deal with her constant uncomfortableness during the battles. Elyse was a quick learner, though, and quickly adapted to the stressful environment.

She shifted, the sound of Raymond’s soft jazz drifting through the walls. It was turning out to be the best sleep Elyse had gotten in weeks...

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

Elyse jolted to an upright position, a few of the data sheets and images flying off of the bed in a whoosh of air. With a gasp, her panic mode was flung into action as the alarms replaced the soft jazz in a horrific way. She stood and tossed her reading glasses onto her desk, grabbing her sweater cardigan and pulling it on. At the same time, she haphazardly stuffed her feet into her boots, her right foot avoiding the little slit that held her dagger.

The beating of her heart replaced the alarms as the startled newbie rushed to the door, impatiently squeezing through the opening before it even made more than two feet of room. She squeaked and stepped back against the wall as crewmembers flew past her, specifically the Captain. After a slight pivot, Elyse scrambled up to the deck where the action was taking place. She didn’t exactly have a role in the combat, yet, but she did offer help with her infrared vision.

“What can I do, Captain?” She called out, quickly looking at the monitors and other crew members to assess the situation.

Varieties of different lush planet life from all over the galaxy covered almost every inch of available space in this singular room, the room resembling more of a greenhouse than an place a person would sleep in and let alone live in. The floor had small walk ways, each one leading to the only clear spots that the plants had yet to invaded in the small bedroom space but that was the way the owner preferred it since it reminded her a bit of home. It wasn't to say that she collected them for her own pleasure though since almost every plant within the confines of the area had a medical purpose but she wouldn't deny the scent of the flowers were relaxing and the feel of the foliage gave the utmost comfort. Sadly, even the plants held no effect on Luirae Driani this day since sleep had evaded her and everyone else for the last few days since it was always one constant battle after the next as the Rats continued their rampage on the Monroe with barely no moment of peaceful escape. It was easy to see that if this pace kept up that it would be detrimental to the crew but right now nothing else could be done and Rae had far more important matters than to worry about herself. The safety of the others was all that mattered to her and she would continue to work hard even if she wasn't in the infirmary.

At this very moment, the multicolored woman was arched over her desk and peering into the microscope that sat on the neat little desk as her free hand quickly scribbled down notes. She was taking in every reaction on the slide but it was not giving the results she had hoped for which cause her to sigh as she plopped back into her chair. She tilted her head up to the herbage ceiling, trying to think of what she could do differently to cause a better reaction since she was so close to what she needed but close wasn't good enough. If she hadn't thrown her long hair up in what the humans call a "ponytail" (such strange names humans had for things) earlier than Rae would surely be racking her fingers through it once more which is why she had pulled it up in the first pace. Orange-ish irises slowly looked away from the roof, her focus going back to the desk as she reached for the porcelain tea cup, taking a long slow sip of the warm liquid as she let her mind slow down a bit.
I haven't tried that combination yet...one more try wouldn't hurt and then I will do as Atlas asked of everyone...
That thought in mind, she set her cup of rose tea down before standing which caused her to retie the loose baggy pajama pant she had chosen to wear, readjusting the tank top she had on back into place as she moved over to the plant she had stood up for in the first place. It wasn't long before it was ground up and liquidized before being added to the previous cocktail that was in the microscopic slide. Once everything was set, she carefully took out a vial of purplish goo and used an eyedropper to suck up a small amount. Rae moved it carefully to the mircoscope, peering through the lens as she adding the goo to the concoction she made and watched the reaction. A large grin painted on her face, a sense of victory and relief filling her at the things she was witnessing. Rae jotted down the mixture quickly, the amounts and everything written out clearly while they were still on the brain.
Now all I need to do is speak with Atlas about...

ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED

Rae's thoughts were instantly interrupted, the alarms and warning system now in full swing to notify everyone that they had more unwanted company. She didn't waste anytime as she grabbed her gun belt, slinging it around her waist and buckling it up fast before grabbing what little amount of her project that was left. She placed it into the free pockets of her belt before rushing out of her room, heading for the bridge since she knew where Atlas would be headed and she planned to meet him there. It was a fast process, she ignored the others as they moved to their stations and she moved out of the way as she went on standby, ready to receive orders.
"Marauders in position! These might be the last of 'em, and if they're not, I hope you got some sort of antidote for their poison teeth, Doctor." Raymond spoke and she straightened. She would not speak her nickname for the man directly talking to her in front of the others, her respect for him to great to be personal or show emotion to some that had yet to earn her trust.
"Yes Captain, I believe I have finally perfected an effective antidote to the enemies poison though I suggest that everyone still avoid being bitten. I have yet to test it with everyone's blood so I am not sure how the antidote's effect will be on everyone." Luirae reported in a soft calm voice but with much seriousness in the tone.

Sekváli spacecraft, like most species's, lacked beauty. They looked to be cobbled together with spare parts. There was no uniformity to the lines, hardly any to the material used to plate these fighters that now silently crawled through space toward the Monroe. Their formation betrayed their desired illusion of cohesion. There was little communication between the ships; inequal distancing between individual fighters, some lagging behind, others moving too fast. It was something that Shaso͞on was always keen to notice after serving nearly 40 passes in the Ju'yavāl golden fleet. He waited now, watching the approaching ships, and after noticing that they were oblivious to his presence he began to make his move. The leading ship and the two flanking it moved right past him, passing within 600 meters of him. The three behind moved out to flank the Monroe, separating from the leading three and moving much closer to the floating Ju'yavāl. Shaso͞on could feel their faint mental presence, the Sekváls' focus singularly on the object of their current hatred.

The first fighter passed under Shaso͞on, the remaining two following behind in a column formation. Shaso͞on emitted a brief burst of energy behind him, propelling him down onto the hull of the second Sekváli ship. His landed softy just above the cockpit and could feel the presence of two beings within. He remained still for a moment, allowing himself the time to fully dive into their minds before opening up with his initial attack. All memories of the two beings were brought to the forefront of their minds, overwhelming their senses and drawing a sudden mental scream of anguish that meant Shaso͞on had done his job well. The thrusters for the ship cut suddenly, causing the ship behind it to halt suddenly to avoid careening into it. Shaso͞on pressed himself against the hull and crawled along to the cockpit before putting his hands directly over the glass paneling.

Emerald green flames of psionic energy ignited from his cuffs and sliced into the glass, giving sound to the vacuum of space for only a brief moment as the air within the ship was torn out. He rotated his wrists, cutting circularly until a hunk of the cockpit was torn out and one of the Sekváls was sucked out into the vacuum. Shaso͞on wasted no time admiring his handiwork and quickly went to climbing across the hull, moving parallel to the now circling fighter that was looking to see what was the matter. The remaining fighter stabilised in front of the now dead fighter and surveyed the damage. Shaso͞on could feel their thoughts, feeling grim vindication for what he had done. It had disabled the second ship and paralyzed the third in fear. Though fear was a flighty emotion, so he moved quickly.

Shaso͞on kicked off of the underbelly of the dead fighter and propelled himself to the other ship, quickly reaching it and taking hold of one of its side mounts where there was an airlock. He could feel the horrible chills of the void of space beginning to overwhelm his shield. Already some of the moisture on his body from the ship was crystallising on his flesh. Shaso͞on did as he did with other species and explored the brain of the Sekváls for language, quickly piecing together a way to tell the one nearest the airlock to open it and save their comrade that had been sucked out of his ship. The Sekvál seemed to buy the ruse and moments later the airlocke opened up, allowing Shaso͞on into the intermediate chamber. The airlock sealed behind him and the inner door opened up, facing him with a beast that stood nearly as tall as him. It had a stout stocky neck, pink layered flesh and minuscule beady eyes set into a murine skull, its mouth filled with massive teeth larger than Shaso͞on's hand.

It shrieked in what Shaso͞on believed to be rage and dove at him, biting ravenously, only to find itself on top of a freshly formed blade. It slumped over onto him and he had to shove it off of him, the other Sekvál already abandoning its seat at the helm to come help its comrade. The dead beast fell onto the floor with a wed thud and Shaso͞on moved into the main corridor of the ship, lurching backward deeper into the ship as the remaining Sekvál struck at him with a swipe of its clawed hand. He reached out and grabbed at the beast's throat, only to find that the flesh was too thick for him to simple strangulate the creature. Its mouth split open, revealing its gaping maw and horrid buck teeth, before it brought them down onto his wrist. If it hadn't been for his shield, he would have lost his hand. It opened wide to bite again and Shaso͞on struck out again, igniting the blade in his other hand and slicing into the creature's right arm, severing it in its entirety from its body. The creature screamed and staggered back, giving Shaso͞on a chance to pursue. He had wanted to non-lethally subdue it. Information was more valuable than anything else. He moved in again, deactivating his shield and enabling his cloak, disappearing from the sight of the Sekvál. It reacted to that by wildly striking the air around it, narrowly missing Shaso͞on with a wide left swipe. Shaso͞on positioned himself behind it and moved both his his wrists behind its hips, igniting his blades a final time, tearing apart its joints and collapsing its legs out from under it. It screamed and fell to the ground in a pile of flesh.

"Raymond Chase," Shaso͞on broadcasted to the commander of the Monroe as well as those in his immediate presence, reaching out to the crew as he turned his back on the Sekvál to examine the cockpit for anything he could potential make use of. His smooth voice resonating in the heads of the crew, having a quality as if it were echoing itself. "Rear two Sekváli fighters disabled. I will begin interrogation on my hostage briefly. I will gather information from the onboard databases and return it to-" He was cut short, feeling a white-hot pain in his low leg. He twisted and spotted the disabled Sekvál's fangs planted in his calve. In a swift motion his struck down with his blade, severin the beasts head, its jaw relaxing and releasing him. The gaping wound oozed yellowed fluid, his normally clear blood having been tainted by the Sekvál's venom. Shock was enough to numb the pain for the moment and while he could feel the burning sensation crawling up his leg, it was the weakest it would be and he still had some time. The delay was no more than twenty seconds, but it was likely enough to clue the crew in that something had happened. Nevertheless, he continued, "I will return it to the ship for analysis. If I have not returned in time for launch, assume I have succumbed." His voice vanished with his final word and with that, he got to work.

Still trying to get some sleep, the Furtim couldn't sleep in his own quarters, considering that he has spent the last seventy-two hours awake. Still, Tahillie could not fathom how he can stay up. All the wiring and networks had to take time, he wanted to do a little digging around of the previous missions to better the team; getting out alive was top priority after all. While doing this, he did not expect to sleep, he was wrong. While looking at the little hologram, his eyes felt heavy as he almost hit his head on the crontroll pannel, his visor almost being knocked off.

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

The sound of the alarm blaring off, he jerked his body up to see that it was the third time that they were being bombarded by the space rats again. A snarl left his lips as he closed the little hologram that he was working with.

"Six? That's less than their last attack, but I'm still wondering why they were able to find us, Tahillie." He heard Raymond say.

"I'm working on it!" Tahillie snapped at the Cap.

It was his job to find a desolated area for them to safely Jump too. Swinging over to his station, he pressed a few buttons on a screen in hope to find a decent and far enough place to be safe. Without sleep was rough, another snarl left from him as he tried to figure out which way was safer for them to do a Jump.

"Keep 'em off our tail, Cap. I'm still looking for a safe spot so that Tango can do the Jump!" Tahillie yelled, hoping that it would reach Raymond.

Running his scaled fingers along the screen, Tahillie found it. "Tango. Make a jump for Canborus Galaxy when the Captian give the word." He said, still putting in the coordinates for the Canborus Galaxy.

Raymond's mind was in overdrive. His fingers were pressing buttons, switching levers, and calculating the position of the enemy ships. As this was happening the crew started to take their positions. He read everyone's file in detail, to get to know them... And when you are in charge of some of the Committee's deadliest criminals you have to know exactly what you're up against. The people who have been here the longest could tell you about how tense the starting crew was; always second guessing Raymond and his ability to lead them. He would host fights in the lower cargo bay. He would win every single fight against every single alien. People soon didn't challenge Raymond Chase.

Meghan Jackson manned the second assault station. She had the good looks of a goddess, and the skills of a killer. She knew how to take orders, and executed them with precision. Tymea gave the comment of them being the enemy of science, and he gave a short laugh. "They are more than enemies of just science, Miss L'Cint, but they'll definitely won't be around long..." Raymond said, about to confirm his firing coordinates. Addy, the ship's navigator started to give Raymond the time for their warp drive departure. Of course if they couldn't fight off these mole rats they would have to jump to escape, but he was tired of these bastards chasing them! Like Raymond, Addy was a sole survivor of a military mission gone wrong, and she knew that she didn't plan on losing anyone to these lame rat creatures!

There was also the fact that Shasoon just blasted himself out of the airlock and towards the enemy ship. Raymond gave a rather frustrated sigh. The two have been talking about this plan ever since the first ambush, but they never confirmed and thought the plan out fully. But now Raymond had to compromise even more than what he has been doing. "Copy that, Addy. Keep the timer going, but keep on standby until I give the orders. Meghan, hold fire until we hear from Shasoon again." He stated, keeping his turret locked on one of the enemy ships. They were too far away to start firing, but they were definitely coming their way.

Elyse's voice came to Raymond from below. He glanced down then back at the ships. She was the newest member of the Marauders, but also a genius, and had a gift. "Emiel, once we get close enough I need you to scan the ships, especially their guns. You gotta let us know which ship is firing up its assault systems! You can do that, right?" He called out. He wasn't sure how her eyesight worked, but he did know that if things got hot, they radiated infrared energy.

Rae's voice was the next thing he heard in the matter of seconds. Doctor Luirae Driani was his most trusted companion on the ship. She wasn't a bounty hunter, or a shunned member of their race, or a killer. She was a scientist who volunteered and trusted Raymond completely with her life. "That's some good news, Doctor. Keep that in mind, Marauders. Poison is still a very important matter of business. Do NOT let them onboard this ship!"

Shasoon's voice came back into his mind yet again. Most people would be creeped out or traumatized by this experience, but Raymond has seen worse, and this wasn't the first experience he's had with the team's negotiator. They have crossed paths only once before, and when he found out that the Ju'Yaval would be a member of his roster years ago, he accepted him and his abilities. So far they have proven to save Ray and the team's lives multiple times..

He had taken out the back ships, and then his statement was cut short. Raymond waited for a response, and right before he was going to ask if he was alright, his voice came back. His comment didn't sound assuring. "Copy that, Shasoon... But you know that's not an option." He stated.

"Meghan focus on the front ships, They're still coming from starboard. Elyse, try and help the gunners out with your vision. Tahillie informed Raymond their best place to jump to, and he looked at her and nodded. "Good work, Tahillie. Take position next to Tango and Addy and help them, and Addy keep that timer coming." Raymond walked towards an airlock station. "Tymea, I need you to do a quick scan of the ship and see if they tagged us at some point. If we jump and we still have that it will be round four with these guys, and Doctor, stay close by with your antidote. I feel like Shasoon isn't telling us something..."

He climbed into airlock door where the ship issued spacesuits were held. All of them were personalized for each person, and Raymond pulled his out. On the spacesuits right bicep was the American Flag. The chestplate was a steel blue, with a giant scratch across it from his adventures. Over his heart was a blood red "M", the Marauder's unofficial logo. On the left bicep were three icons. One was a classic spaceship sailing through stars, the icon placed on the very first Earth-born space explorers. The second was an icon of a human made assault rifle, the sign of the Galactic Committee's human assault division of the Military... And the last one was a picture of a Colorado state flag. The state he was born in.

He climbed into the suit, sealing himself in. The suit was lightweight, and much skinnier than the very first human made spacesuits, and more durable and made for defense. "Shasoon, if you have been bitten, I am in standby in the airlock, ready to go in after you. Just say the word and you have backup... And don't say everything's fine and do something stupid. that's my job." Ray added quickly.

Rae frowned at Shasōōn's latest update to the crew, not because of what was said but because of what wasn't said after such a long pause. It was possible that he had been interrupted by having to slay or attack an enemy but something in her gut told her that this was not the case.
Something is very wrong...
She listened as Raymond barked out orders, already heading towards the airlock without waiting for a reply as he was probably sure his orders were being followed to a letter. She on the other had followed after him in determination, not one to just stand by and idle while one of her crewmates could be in danger or worse in this case. If he really had been bitten that even waiting a second longer was too much of an extended amount of time. It could reach his heart before they could get to him if they weren't careful and having Raymond go alone would just be wasting time in her logical mind. She opened the airlock door, shutting and locking it from the inside as she entered before heading over to the racks to pull out her own suit though she hardly needed the darn thing. It would be a safety precaution none the less but right now she had more important things to focus on than that as she turned to stare calmly at the man in front of her. Rae had no idea what he would say to seeing her planning to join him but she decided to speak up before he had a chance to deny her wishes and order her to stay.

"Atlas, if you think I am going to stand here and wait for you two to try and beat the warp jump than this sleep deprivation has made you lose your mind. You know as well as I do what this poison can do and helping him back is just wasting time that I could be there neutralizing the poison. Did you even stop for a moment to think about the fact that while you are helping that you could be bitten as well? Then where would you two be? Reprimand me and punish me later if you wish but I will be going, even if I have to subdue you to do it. It's my job after all to make sure you both don't do something stupid." she stated, knowing that the two of them were alone and away from the others. She would not be speaking freely like this in front of the others but alone, they had an understanding of each other. Those words being said, she unbuckled her gun belt and quickly yanked on her own suit, guns going into the specially designed holders and her bow going along her back.

Perfect was definitely not easy. Whoever had said that clearly knew what they were talking about. It was not easy being perfect especially if your whole draw was your pretty face. Then of course there was the issue of being able to kill someone when they needed it. So the only way to do that was to train in whatever way that you could. So that was why Terry was currently getting thrown all over the cargo hold. Terry had bought a combat droid to help him with that aspect of his job. It's job was to beat the hell out of him so he would not be so useless in a fight. The bruises would be worth it in the long run. He had no idea what the other thought of his little regiment but it seemed to help him.

He was just about to beat the droid for the first time when the alarm went off. Terry cursed under his breath as pulled his shirt back on and grabbed his gun belt. He figured that there was a battle coming soon so that meant fighting. Terry usually preferred talking but most aliens did not seem to like polite talking. It was so sad when they could not talk it out. Still he was bolting for the front of the ship and he tightened the belt.

As he ran he looked over at the airlock and saw Ray and Raymond at the airlock. He hadn't heard them talking but he was guessing it was a 2R talk. Terry had seen a few of those over his time with the Marauders. Terry was close to the oldest member of the group. "Oh. Are we doing something really stupid?" He asked figuring that they were. "Well you aren't convincing me against whatever it is. Light knows I am useless on the ship." He said grabbing his suit as well. He figured that he would needed to shoot something if nothing else. Terry usually did not take no for an answer.

His suit was the typical human style with the flag of Vargi on the side. It was just a simple flag with three concentric circles representing Vargi and its two moons. Terry looked up at the other two as if daring them to say no. They needed back up and Terry was not meant to be kept in a ship. Shooting and talking were his best traits. Since talking was out of the question they needed to start shooting. So they needed to head out there.

The team were doing a good job, but when isn't that the Marauders do? They always do a good job! Though, Meghan was obviously mad that she couldn't have a relaxing day, so taking out her anger on these intruders would do the trick. Meghan turned her head towards Raymond, as he gave the orders once again. "Fine!" she rolled her eyes, halting the fire as she waited for Raymond to give her orders again. But for now, she looked around at the others doing their jobs. "Huh, we can't get a day off, right guys?" Meghan joked around, trying to live up the moment. Finally, hearing out Raymond's orders, Meghan nodded, "Yeah yeah, I got it, boss." she squinted her eyes before shooting towards the ships that were coming from the front.

Meghan was obviously too busy to even know what was happening with the others. But whatever they were going to do, they better do it fast and not get hurt. As for now, Meghan continued to shoot out the couple of ships that were coming from the front area. "Come on, Meghan.... you got this. All you need is a couple of more and then you can go help the others."

One.. Shot the ship down. Two.. another one... three one more! four..

And it kept going.

Addy was almost positive she was hallucinating when she saw coordinates being entered into the navigation system. She then turned around to glare around the flight deck until she saw Tahillie and she glared.
"Cher, what exactly do you think we're doing?" Addy asked as she pushed herself out of her chair as she glanced at his screen. She ran her fingers through her hair trying to take composing breaths.

"That's too close, we need to utilize our time in warp speed, since they can't find us while in warp not to mention ces coordonnées putains sont juste à côté un putain de trou noir, vous putain de crétin! Êtes-vous essayer d'obtenir tous nous tuer? Je environnant par une bande d'idiots putain." Addy went and sat back down in her chair as she went and started changing the coordinates to a location that was farther away. Addy pulled up the ship's security feeds and she almost punched a hole in her computer.
"Okay, half of our crew is going out of the ship, " Addy was deathly calm over the intercom," which would be fine if we were on some type of oxygenated planet but need I remind you, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, that we are in space?"

Adalaide glanced down at her shaking hands and tried to take a few breaths before she continued.
"This ship cannot lose it's captain, Doctor, and both of its negotiators. If you die out there, you are condemning the rest of us on this ship to almost guaranteed death so I am asking for at least one of you to stay back." Adalaide said, as she glanced at the countdown. It had only been a minute, making the time just under 7 minutes.

Elyse looked around as she awaited an answer, watching the actions of the crew. They all seemed dedicated to their job, which was fortunate for her. When she had first met them, it was an oddly pleasant experience. Of course, the gruff ones came off as, well, gruff. The rest, though, seemed friendly. She glanced over at Rae, who was as calm and collected as usual. Rae was gorgeous, and Elyse already respected her as much as she respected Raymond.

Eight minutes before jump? Elyse thought. It seemed longer than the last time, but Elyse guessed that since they’d been jumping more frequently than usual, the jump drive had to take longer to get itself ready after being exhausted the past three days. Technology like that wasn’t supposed to be used as much as it was being used now, even though using jump was necessary.

Elyse turned her attention back to Raymond as he glanced down at her, directing all of her attention towards his orders. She’d learnt quickly to listen closely to every command he gave. Scan the ships and guns, look out for warming assault systems. Got it! Elyse gave a nod. “Yes, Captain,” she replied, moving towards the front of the ship to look out of the window at the front.

Seeing infrared light was as easy as flipping a switch in her mind. She simply needed to blink, and the ability was put to use. Elyse looked over each ship closely. The void of space came off as black, with little blue blips, the galaxies and nebulae, dotting it. The ships came off as a cool green, with little spots of orange, yellow, and red where the space rats roamed. She loved using her ability, but the shape of these rats sent shivers down her spine. She wished she couldn’t see them. “There’s at least 30-40 of them to each ship!” She called out, finding Shasoon’s heat trace. She watched as he took out the back ships and jumped a bit as Shasoon’s voice interrupted her own thoughts. She still wasn’t used to the intrusion in her mind, but at least she didn’t yelp every time he did it now. Give or take one more week, and she would most likely be used to it… hopefully. Elyse let out a sigh. The mess of heat had been too much to tell if he had been bitten or not. She watched as many space rats began to lose their heat as they died.

Raymond’s voice caught her attention as her name was used, but she kept her eyes on the remaining ships. Help the gunners? No problem. The ships are still crawling with the space vermin. “On it, Captain!” She responded. With her infrared vision tuned to perfection, Elyse turned and found Meghan, moving to join her in the gunner’s cock-pit. She watched in awe as Meghan took out multiple ships. “Wow,” she breathed, “You’re a great shot.” She pointed towards a ship on the outskirts that was warming up its assault systems. “Shoot that one at the bottom. That’s where their fuel is held. They’re about to blast us.”

Raymond had just put on his suit, thinking about just how stupid this plan of his was. Of course his stupid plans have always worked out in the past, but this might be the lucky exception that could end the Marauder's winning streak. Was he terrified? Going out there in the voids of space to fight against the most poisonous species in the known galaxy? Of course he was. He was scared, angry, nervous, and everything in between. But the greatest warriors don't hide from fear, or try and get rid of it. In ancient Greek mythology for the human race, Deimos (the god of fear) and Phobos (God of panic) were the sons of Ares and Aphrodite. War and Love created Fear and Panic because when going headstrong into a battle, the fear of death keeps you on your toes. Panic of losing everything you've worked so hard for keeps you motivated. And the love you have for your crew mates' protection is what keeps you diving in to war over and over again.

The airlock opened to reveal Rae walk in, giving him a stare that he's seen far too often. As she began to politely yell at Raymond, a faint smile crept on his face. "Come on, Rae. We've definitely seen worse things than the galaxy's deadliest poison... Although I had a feeling you'd be joining in. Glad to see the lack of sleep hasn't changed your ability to tell me how stupid I can be." He gave a faint grin as he placed his helmet on, and locked it in place.

Terry was the next to join. Another veteran of the Marauders. He gave him a rather quizzical look, wondering just what he was doing here. It wasn't that he didn't like him. He had a large amount of respect for Terry, but close quarter combat wasn't his strongsuit. Using his charm was. As the three of them suited up in silence Addy's annoyed voice came in through the intercom. Raymond couldn't help but grin. Stressed out Addy was one of his favorite types of Addy. "Copy that, Navigator." Raymond said back to her through the communication device in his helmet, then looked over at Rae. He knew she would take that as a challenge. She won't have anyone die on her watch.

"If us three go out there, We have to make sure we either get our asses back here in one piece, or take out these rats completely so our ship can get away." Raymond said casually, checking his equipment. He spun the cylinder on his revolver around, and then swung it into place. It was a family heirloom in a sense, and it has saved his life many times. He then looked down at the glove he had equipped. On the palm was a device that generated a wire that produced a strong electrical current that created a very powerful whip. He rarely used this weapon for many reasons, but it did save his life a few times as well... The Committee said that it was his father's weapon. To spite his old man, he swore that he would use it only when he had to.

"I never ordered you two to come with me. I know we are all a team, and we are assigned suicide missions all the time... But if we get bit, we will have a very long, and painful experience. We have to get back here alive and in time for that warp." He stared at the two, he wasn't trying to scare them, and to be honest he wasn't expecting to. He just wanted to clarify the risk they were taking all for one man. Complain all they want, Raymond knew that the only person who was responsible for the crew's life was himself. If they lost a member they would ask Ray how it would happen, and to give them a full report. They would look at his actions and judge him for it. He was sick and tired of being judged. Judged by the law for committing a crime he never did. Judged by the Committee for being nothing but the ring leader to a bunch of criminals... Judged by his sister for saying he left her...

"Tango, release the airlock doors. Keep that timer going, and warp when you can't take another hit. We will be back shortly." He said in a calm voice.

"Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I'll ever know. Live and die on this day... Live and die on this day." Before he did any stupid decision in his life he liked to mutter that poem softly mostly to himself. It gave him assurance.

Shaso͞on was nearly knocked to the floor when a sudden crashing of metal and the blaring of an alarm went off, the cockpit of the Sekváli ship flooding in warm red light. He twisted and looked out of the windscreen of the ship, seeing the dead ship he had left pressed against the ship he was in now. The two ships had collided and there were hairline fractures lining the windscreen. Shaso͞on moved quickly, hearing the sound of distant activity, likely the other Sekváls that Elyse Emiel had detected. He had fought plenty of enemies in his life and he could fight plenty more, if it weren't for the toxins that were already begining to take their effects. His afflicted leg was growing stiffer by the moment, the muscles feeling as if they had been flayed and were now being pulled as tightly as they could be until they were bound to split apart at the seams. The sensation had already begun to crawl up to his knee and it would only be moments before he was no longer able to stand on his own.

Shaso͞on ignited his blade and dropped down to a knee, planting the blade at the base of the Sekvál's snout. He cleaved it off and spent a moment ripping the fangs from the flesh before tucking them into his a nook on his armour. Luirae Driani would have a better chance at developing something effective if she had the actual venom to work with instead of her plants. Standing was more difficult than he had anticipated. He could barely get his knee to move without a searing hot pain blossoming within it. He staggered over to the console within the cockpit and began to pour through the information, looking for relevant information. The door into the pilot's deck opened up, revealing a pair of Sekváls who shrieked in something between rage and shock at the sight of Shaso͞on, only to drop moments later after their air around them erupted in a burst of concentrated psionic energy. Shaso͞on lost interest in them as brown liquid began to drain from their noses, mouth, and eyes.

"Navigator Adalaide de la Roche, Officer Tymea L’cint, prepare yourselves for a neural link," Shaso͞on said, his voice slower than it had been moments ago. His eyes returned to the console and as he began going through the information on the Sekváli starcharts, he began to broadcast his vision into Adalaide de la Roche's mind. He moved quickly through the information, sharing information on the locations of the Sekváli fleet, communications channels, points in which the Sekváls were going to begin warping in an attempt to intercept the Monroe, and the information the Sekváli had on the Monroe. The language of the information provided to Adalaide appeared to be in French when it reached her head, one of the specialties among the Ju'yavāl had always been the ability to deconstruct and reconstruct languages by borrowing information from other species' brains. It wasn't always a perfect translation, but it was certainly better than the alternative.

The link between Adalaide and Shaso͞on was then terminated, punctuated by a sudden lightness that was felt in the minds of those Shaso͞on infiltrated and then abandoned. Moments later the feeling of a sudden crowding in Tymea L'cint's head indicated that he was now planning on pumping information into her head. His broadcast to her was much shorter, only sending her a brief series of co-ordinates indicitive of the four places there were tracers in the hull of the Monroe that the Sekváli were using the track the ship. He was out of her head moments later, and left on his own within the Sekváli ship once more. He twisted away from the terminal and planted both of his hands onto the paneled windscreen of the cockpit before letting out a burst of energy that tore open the ship, spilling himself and a handful of Sekváli corpses out into the void of space.

He floated in the blackness for a short time, the horrible freeze of space reminding him to activate his shield which washed over him momentarily in a faint blue sheen. He let out a small burst of energy from his urellian cuffs that propelled him on a course to the Monroe, though he floated slowly and as he tried to put out more energy, he was quickly finding that he couldn't reach into the Shakseer. There was a cloud in his mind and with it there was a great pain in his muscles. He could feel his hearts straining to keep beating and his vision was already begining to fade. "Luirae Driani," he reached out hoping to touch the mind of the ships doctor, his voice likely lacking its usually precision and meeting more minds than hers alone. As he floated toward the ship, he reached to where he had stored the extracted fangs and removed them, clutching them tightly in his four fingered hand. "In my hands are extracted Sekváli teeth with some of their venom glands still attached. Use it to refine your anti-venom. I am deactivating my shields so you may scan my organs. I will not be conscious when you find me. I will be suffering from hypothermia." His voice faded with the final words he spoke and moments later he was drifting through space, void of most signs of life.

A snarl left Tahillie's mouth at the comment that Addy threw towards him. Sure it wasn't that far from their location, but he knew for a fact that there was an astroid field located in the sector. A hard, but silent sigh left him.

"Take into consideration, that the Canborus Galaxy is known for its astroid feilds. Taking some time and careful steering, we can hide the ship among the astroids!" He stated, glaring at the human woman through his visor. "or that we stand and fight. I consider the sooner than later." He added quickly.

He had to do something, other than trying to butt heada with the human and trying not to snap at her, an idea popped up in his head. He'll try hacking the mainframe of one of the ships, that was before Addy said something about half the crew leaving the ship and loosing the Doctor.

A snarl left from him again. This was getting annoying as all hell, but he had to do his job than chase after half the crew. "Raymond, you beeter make sure that sh- they get on the ship before the jump." He said over the comlink. "But I'll try to hack into their mainframes and see how they're finding us." He added quickly.

Turning back to his little hologram that he was fiddling with not even three minutes ago, tapping his scaled fingers in the hologram while figuring the protective code the Space Rats had used in their firewall. Not smart when he by passed the firewall three seconds later. He grabbed a cord that was sticking out from the hologram, sticking into the jack on his visor. Things got tricky from there.

His subbconscious drifted in cyberspace, more likely in the mainframe of the Space Rats systems. His physical body went still, he swam through cyberspace while looking for sensitive information. Ine thing he did find was the tracking system they had, how they've found them, and he went to work on sabotaging in their systems. He worked a little more when he found information about them, they were wanted by the Committee for their crimes and such. "They are not so smart when it comes to keeping information like this." He said more to himself. He sent the information to Addy, in hope that she would tell the others.

A sudden shock came over his. They had an Anti-virus program synced in their mainframe! To the program, he was considered to be a virus. He had to pull out quickly, though the time that he went silent was only for a mere forty-five seconds to gather the information, and only three seconds to send the information. He was covered in sweat from his exploration of Cyberspace before he found himself sitting in his chair.

Reena Vaemas val Mari'Dosvin stifled a yawn as she looked over the data on her control pad. The prospect of a good long nap in the hydropod was oh so enticing, and she had to restrain herself from ejecting from her suit and collapsing into it with a splash. There was something she had to get off her plate first, though...

"Right, continue recording of Audio Log 11-13, Subject..." Neera began, before pausing to take another look at her opponent. The bulbous plant pulsated sluggishly in response, its deep crimson color clashing horribly with the cool blues and greens adorning the walls of her quarters. "...Meatbulb," she concluded, settling on a simple name for the odious thing. "In my research on this newly uncovered plant life, I've uncovered several unusual properties of its biology, including its volatile defensive mechanism which has thus far soiled my equipment twice. As scanning has done nothing to uncover the...means by which it activates this defense, I'm afraid I have to resort to a more hands-on approach in the form of a traditional biopsy."

Neera set down her control pad next to the ugly plant and went to pick up a small needle to begin, only to find her hands twitching uncontrollably. Taking deep breaths, she grabbed her twitching arm and tried to steady it.

"No...you don't need it...you can do this..."

Thankfully, the twitching subsided, leaving her both relieved and angry at herself. Her craving for Hype tended to rear its head at the worst times, and the seventy-two hour shifts hadn't exactly helped her self-control. Still, Neera was pleased that she was able to handle those eventual cravings better then when she was stuck in that prison hospital. Being one of these Marauders certainly kept her busy, and one thing that hadn't changed since her wild drug lord days was that she was at her best when she was busy.

"So," Neera continued, readying the needle in one hand and gently inserting it into the bulb of the angry crimson plant. "Through observation, the best method to prevent a violent reaction is a small gentle puncture of the lobe closest to the stem, as follows. This should allow the fluid to-"

Neera's monologue was interrupted by a liquid popping noise, like a large fruit being smashed with a mallet. Neera flinched in shock as crimson fluid burst forth from the agitated plant, coating the back wall and the front of her suit in its deep red innards. "-though clearly the stem puncture method is not a entirely RELIABLE means of disarming it," Neera commented bitterly, wiping the worst of the gunk from off of her helmet with a miraculously unsoiled cloth. "In any case, once the bulb is drained, through force or otherwise, I should be able to observe the inner workings of the plant." Without a second thought, she plunged her hands into the center of the exploded bulb to continue her biopsy. "And from what I can tell, the mechanism that causes the reaction does not appear on-"

"ALERT. ALERT. ENEMY SPACECRAFTS DETECTED."

"Renla Vaas, of course it's when I'm up to my elbows in plant matter," Neera groaned. Irritably, she extracted herself from the dead bulb's core and attempted to quickly towel off the worst of the red innards from her arms, and stormed out of her quarters, automatic at her side. It took her a while to get to the bridge where the Captain undoubtedly was, since the environmental controls for her quarters needed to be on the opposite end of the vessel. When she finally got there, still covered in red plant matter and ready to extract revenge on the bastards who were interrupting her work, she was surprised to see that the flight deck was suspiciously empty.

"I'm here," Neera said curtly, tapping into the comms system through her suit. "But where the hell is the Captain?"

Adalaide grabbed her head set and linked it directly to Raymond and went out of the flight deck.
"Raymond, you understand that if you get bit, you die. You're dead, there's no saving you and it wouldn't be because of the bites. You're in space, there's no oxygen and those suits are pretty damn thin. You'll be dead within 30 seconds due to hypoxia and I can't...this is different than the suicide missions we're assigned. We can fight them from here, we can figure out how they're following us." Adalaide knew a lost cause when she saw one and she huffed out a frustrated breath.
"When you get back on this ship, I'm going to kill you." She informed him before she went back into the flight deck and into the gunners cockpit.

"Cap, Rae, and Terry are going out there for reasons beyond me. I'm going to get as close as possible to them and you are going to cover them to the best of your ability." Adalaide informed them as she went back to her seat, just as Tahilie and Shasoon started broadcasting into her brain. Adalaide best trait, was her photographic memory. It's what made her such a good navigator and right now it was extremely beneficial. As soon as he was done she pulled up a note page and started writing.

"Tahilie, you're right. It will hide our location and the magnectic disturbsion should be more than enough to hide our location. If you could change that back, I'd be grateful." Adalaide said, glancing at him before stopping what she was doing and fully looking at him.
"Are you okay? Our nurse is still on board if you'd like to go to med bay." Adalaide said, quirking an eyebrow up on her face as Reena finally showed up.

"I don't understand why you insist on living on the opposite side of the ship." Adalaide informed her as she walked into the flight deck, before she asked her questions.
"A few of our members decided to go on a space walk, I really hope you don't decided to join them. That reminds me, Tango please bring up the best angle we have of Cap and them and display it please." Adalaide said, as she glanced at the countdown. Six and a half minutes left, and Adalaide felt something cold drop in her gut.
