So my friends and I devised a drinking game to celebrate New Years into 2015! We made the mistake of playing with liquor and didn't even get into the second mission by the time we were plastered. So this time around we are playing with beer! There are a few details that need to be clear before diving into these rules.
1) This drinking game was built around the Long War mod for Enemy Within
2) While XCOM isn't a co-op game, my friends were creative enough to assign specific characters to ourselves; when it is that character's turn, they take control of the game.
3) PLAY WITH BEER! Long War is already infamously hard, liquor is evil!
Now... Without further ado, here are the rules for the XCOM drinking game!
NORMAL DIFFICULTY
1) A character assigned to you is hit
- 1 drink if normal damage
- 2 drinks if critical damage
2) A character dies
- 2 drinks if the dead character is assigned to you
- 1 drink for everybody else
3) A country is lost
- 2 drinks
4) A fighter is lost
- 2 drinks
5) A UFO lands
- 1 drink
6) A mission is failed
- 2 drinks
7) A character assigned to you is turned into a zombie
- 1 drink
8) TERROR MISSION!!
- 2 drinks
9) A country is in panic
- 1 drink
IRONMAN DIFFICULTY
All normal difficulty drink values are doubled! Ironman difficulty is specific for each individual player, one can choose to go ironman while another can choose not to.
10) A character assigned to you panics
- 1 drink
11) A character says "Roger Dodger!"
- 1 drink
12) A MELD container self destructs
- 2 drinks
13) EXALT begins an operation against you
- 2 drinks
14) A character assigned to you is mind controlled
- 1 drink
15) A character assigned to you is flanked
- 1 drink
16) A flanked character assigned to you takes a critical hit (this stacks with rule #1)
