Sorry I've not updated Oren yet. RL has been pretty hectic the past few days, but all those schenanigans are over and I've a reasonable amount of free time for the forseeable future. Sheet should be done by tomorrow.
I quite like that map, actually. I'd be fine with sticking to that one.
Kingdom of Oren

I'm too wondering about the scale for the map?

I know I want to go for an Kingdom in which it becomes a case of the ruling monarch appeasing the vassals more than anything else. If we're able to claim land, I'll tentatively mark my interest in this landmass - but again, with no scale I'm not entirely sure of how large this actually is.

Interested
I should have my CS completed by tonight, and I'll have Enor show his face in the near-future!

I've PM'd my idea for a character to you, Partisan. I've been watching this RP for a while and really like the look of it. I'd love to get involved! If the characters fits, hopefully I can get a CS up tomorrow.
I think my sheet for the United Systems Republic is now more-or-less finished, as I only need to write the response for the first explorers.

To summarise the nation, I've gone for a vast and sprawling Republic with a large population/manpower. Yet instead of this being an advantage, it has led to the Senate fighting amongst itself over trivial matters with the senators from each colony unable to agree on anything, really. Not only this, but as a result of the Republic going 'stale' and not uniting around a common cause, which used to be expansion, people are simply looking to their own wants/desires and care little for trying to work for the betterment of the Republic. As a result, with the discovery of the Gates and so-forth, the Grand Archon/current government are looking to start expanding once again to unite the Systems Republic under a common cause and return to a 'golden age' of sorts.
I must say, I'm quite looking forward to interacting with the other nations!

Race Name
Commonly referred to throughout universe as; Republicans
Plural: Republicans

Name of Faction
The United Systems Republic

Government Structure
Unicameral federal democratic republic
Multiple planets elect senators, whom represent the interests of that planet in the Systems Senate, located in the Senate building on Oren. The systems senate controls all affairs affecting the United Systems Republic, and while the planets will have individual 'governments', it will only be the job of those governments to see that any decisions regarding their respective planet are enforced, and they do not have the power to create laws/policies.

Race Biology (Appearance, what do they breathe / drink / eat etc)
Almost entirely identical to humans, the Republicans rely on Oxygen to survive and thus have to 'terraform' planets, or build habitable domes, to suit their survival. The typical fashion of the Republicans is long, extravagant robes that typically become more and more luxurious as you climb the social ladder, with the lowest social classes wearing little else but rags, while the richest in society will be seen with delicately woven robes.

Cultural History (Should loosely reflect your cultural affinity stats, write out a story on how it got the way it is)
The United Systems Republic was truly born when the first colonists from Oren set out in search of a new home, eventually settling on the planet that came to be called Anthos I. The expansionist policy of the Republic continued, with each successive government and Grand Archon aiming to push the Republic to new heights of greatness, and prosperity. Over time, the United Systems Republic grew to become what it is today, albeit the period of expansion and the thirst for adventure has been long lost. The Republic has seemingly reached a standstill, with no government eager to 'change it up', instead pursuing policies such as laissez faire in an effort to simply maintain status-quo.
As a consequence of this standstill and the lack of unity within the United Systems, corruption and underhand dealings have become rife within the senate. No longer are senators working together for the betterment of the United Systems. Instead, they now simply look to fill their own pockets and pursue their own dreams of power. Public Approval of the senate is at an all-time low, and this doesn't look as though it will be changing any time soon...Unless a sense of 'togetherness' is restored within the United Systems, with the most obvious means to achieve this to be looking to expand once more and with the discovery of the gates, the opportunity presented itself. The Grand Archon, leader of the United Systems Republic, now looks to bring the Republic together once more in the common goal of expanding, and discovering new worlds and lifeforms, albeit this is certainly easier said than done.

Social Structure (How is your race's society organized?)

Systems Senate

The politicans making up the senate. One-hundred Senators are elected from their home planet and given a seat on the seante, with it being their job to bring forward any matters regarding their planet to the senate. The senators also vote on issues that affect the whole of the Systems Republic itself. The overall leader to the Systems Senate, similar to the President of the USA/Prime Minister of the UK, is called the Grand Archon. They chair meetings of the Senate, have the power of veto and are responsible for the overall direction of the Systems Republic.
The Systems Senate is often criticised for being ineffective, slow, and not representitive of the people of the Systems Republic. These criticisims are by-and-large valid, with the senators often working against each other with underhand deals, corruption/bribery and political intrigue. Not only this, albeit the senate often argues over trivial matters and is very indecisive over even the most minor of policies.

Upper/Middle Classes

They typically make up the Systems Senate, being from educated and privileged backgrounds (Hardly representative of the population as a whole) If they are not involved in the political runnings of the Systems Republic, they often assume roles of Corporation CEOs, Army Officers/High-Ups and other professional, well-paid administerial jobs.

Military/Police Forces

The Military and Police forces are closely inter-linked within the Republic. Local Policing authorities are non-existant, and instead a branch within the military acts as an inter-planetary police force and is the 'official' police force of the republic. Though this has led to policing problems, with a single police force unable to extensively cover everywhere (Though it does a fairly good job overall)

Lower Classes/Working Classes

The bulk of society within the Republic. These are the working people who also make up the bulk of the 'regulars' within the army (Officers within the army typically come from the middle class) Every citizen has a vote in the Republic, and so the lower/middle classes are the target area for many politicians when appealing for election to the senate.

Serving Robots

Serving robots have no rights within the Systems Republic, though this has been a topic of light debate. They are seen as property, and not living beings. They can be bought and sold, and assigned any task seen fit by their masters.

Reaction to Aliens (Do they run in fear, send representatives, or fire at will?)
Typically, the United Systems would hold an emergency meeting of the Senate to discuss the development. In most cases, the outcome would be to send a team of diplomats accompanied by a small military escort. The United Systems would never look to start a fight (in most cases) and will usually try to open negotiations.
Planets/Space Stations in the United Systems Republic

Capital Planet, Oren
With a population of 16.8 billion that continues to rise rapidly, Oren is the largest city and capital of the United Systems Republic. The Senate is based here, and it is the wealthiest planet of the Republic, being the home of its economy and politics. Oren appears affluent and luxurious on the outside (the upper levels) albeit in the lower levels and undergrounds, the planet is in a constant battle with the various criminal networks. The planet is more-or-less one giant, connected city.

Anthos I
The second largest planet in the United Systems, Anthos I has a population of 14.2 billion, and has architecture similar to that found on Oren. The planet is almost entirely one giant city, much like Oren, albeit there is still room for expansion.

Vanguard Station
Vanguard Station is found above Anthos I, and is a military station. It has a dedicated military academy, and is able to hold the largest fleets of the United Systems Republic. It cost a fortune to build, and took years, albeit the end result produced one the largest dedicated military stations in the United Systems Republic, and it now also acts as the Command and Control Center for the military of the United Systems Republic.

Outreach Station
Outreach Station serves as a city, quite literally, amongst the stars. It is home to the richest families in the United Systems Republic, the top 1% so to say. While most of the residents do not permanently live there, it serves as a 'vacation home' for the ludicruously rich, and a retirement home for those in the top 1%. It has become a symbol of corruption and affluence amongst the common folk of the Republic.

Oikos III
The powerhouse of the United Systems, the planet is dedicated towards industry and is home to 12 billion, typically the poorest in society. Living conditions are poor, and many live in complete squalor in slums. It is neglected by the Senate, with its senators often pursuing their own interests instead of trying to raise awareness of the situation on the planet which continues to deteroriate as it is worked harder and harder, at the cost of those being forced to work there to make a living.

Barbar II
The newest planet to have been colonised by the United Systems, and the last planet in their galaxy. It is a very exotic planet when compared to the rest of the system, with outlandish species and wildlife never before encountered. The landscape is both mountainous and fungal, dramatically slowing the efforts of expansion on the planet. Despite this, it is a bustling planet with a lot of activity, attracting hopefuls from across the United Systems hoping to make a new life for themselves on the 'new frontier'. It has a population of around 900 million.

Claustrum Moon
The 'prison planet' of the United Systems has been subject to great controversy over the years, albeit the Senate continues to justify it and support it as a means to exclude the worst from society. It is home to 3 million prisoners, and staff. Those guilty of sexual assaults, murders of high-profile individuals and crimes of depravity are sent here for life.
