I'm still around, just waiting on AB's history before I start working some more on my NS.
Posted. I'm assuming the drone was not launched since its not on the map. Please tell me if otherwise. Aside from that, I just hope the HK isn't targeting me otherwise there ain't crap I can do to keep him from killing me.

EDIT: For clarification purposes, outboard speakers does not mean the radio, just some speakers hooked to a microphone so that people can actually hear him within the heavily armored mech.
U-ARM Wing-Marvin Walters

Marvin took his position between the two machine gun nests, but was unable to deploy his drone before he head more chatter on the radio. Great, apparently their radio had been cracked two minutes into the mission. Still, this commander...Colonel Richard Miller...was clearly an idiot. If Marvin had access to the enemy's entire radio network, he'd take pains to make sure the enemy did not realize it until several platoons were dead.

A shame it would have been then, if Marvin had their radio data instead.

The man's gears turned in his head, but he had to halt them when he saw the enemy approaching in an...eagle tank? Whatever works for them he figured. It was then that he saw Marie's signal to open fire upon the tank. Looking at his top down view, Marvin noticed the Sergeant as spotted by the lookouts. He briefly considered firing a missile towards his position, but disregarded it, knowing that his superior wanted that tank taken down. He started the locking on procedure for the Narrow Beam Laser, it would be the best thing against that tank, save an HE Missile, but Marvin wanted to conserve those for when the battle was in full swing. Before the lock was confirmed, he turned his outboard speakers to a low volume, loud enough for the turret men to hear but not enough for the enemies to hear. "I'd like you turrets to handle the power armor while I take on that tank, though don't be afraid to missile the tank if my shots don't do much to it."

Right when he finished saying that, the mech gave a confirmation of a target lock, and Marvin fired his Narrow Beam Laser towards the tank, aiming for the main gun itself to hopefully disable it. Then he fired again, and again, totaling three shots towards the tank. Then he stopped momentarily, to allow the weapon to cool down and to check the condition of the enemy tank. With any luck it was destroyed, or at least disabled. All he could do now was hope for the best.
Imperium-Doctor Gremlock

The next few moments were little more than a blur to the unseasoned Goblin. Apparently, the half dragon had decided to run off into a hallway and, predictably enough, get himself killed. Thank goodness he had not followed his advice. Then he got in front of Gryff as planned and started loading his musket, but after a signal from Aslo, he got behind the meatshield and headed into the hallway. One smoke bomb later, and the Scuva weren't a threat anymore...in theory.

Somehow though, Gremlock found himself at the front of the group. Definitely not the first place he wanted to be, he'd rather be behind the meatshields. Speaking of them though, it seemed they had more intelligence than he thought, at least when it came to battlefield strategy. In hindsight, he supposed that it should have been rather obvious, they were experienced mercenaries after all, they had done this kinda thing before. Gremlock, for one, had a lot to learn.

Soon enough, he took the opportunity to finish reloading his musket, when he heard Florence issuing orders. They seemed reasonable enough, so Gremlock added some more to his words "That sounds pretty reasonable. I plan to head left, and I'd like for Gryff and Trom to accompany me. Murderok, Aslo, and Nyla can head off to the right, while Florence...well I trust you to make the best decision on which group to follow. Way I see it, each group will have one strong person, one archer, and at least one human. If nobody has any objections, let head onwards then."

After waiting for any objections, Gremlock finished loading his rifle, and went to the door. He took his top hat off, then placed it at the end of the musket, then waved it at the entrance to the room, making sure the coast was...clear. To be fair, he didn't know if this was an actual tactic, but he had read a book of somebody doing this once. When nothing happened he slowly made his way into the room, heading left cautiously. He didn't want to get caught off guard by anything, more Scuva, sentient furniture, or killer chains hanging around on the ceiling or floor, so he made sure to check his surroundings, using fire magic to light his way if needed. In the end, he kept his musket, and attached bayonet, ready for anything that might choose to attack them.

Your disguise and subterfuge skills are horribly lacking, Raen. Just accept that you're not wanted here and walk away with whatever dignity is left to you. Making an alt and trying to get back into the RP after you requested the deletion of your old one is just sad.

What? You're just gonna assume it's an alt just like that? Don't be paranoid, nobody's that stu---

Raen, your Steam Account name is Black Rabbit. I'm not retarded. Go away.EDIT LoR 2 post over weekend.

Oh... :P

Looking forward to the post.
Question: What happened to my aerial drone, did I just not have enough time to get it out?

The idea is to get a clear unblocked shot, then move quickly behind Gryff as Gryff moves in front to protect you.

Ah, that makes more sense. So this round I guess I just reload and maybe get a shot off (if I'm lucky), then next I fire if I haven't and then move behind the meatshields.

Personally I probably would've thought up a similar plan to Raen's, but I figure I'm the newbie. I'd better listen to the guy who's done Brovo Roleplays before. :D
U-ARM Wing: Marvin Walters

The whirring of the helicopter blades did little to soothe Marvin's nerves. Here he was, after volunteering to help out a mission gone awry, they apparently decided that he deserved to be on a special ops squad. It meant more pay of course, but it also meant a much higher chance of death. He definitely had enjoyed some parts of the promotion though, a private room to store his stash of technological odds and ends was handy. Of course, before he could enjoy the room for too long, he had received a mission, and it was an odd one at that. Apparently the "Annie" he rescued was not Annie at all, but rather a super powerful shapeshifter named Eve. No doubt it had been a clever kill and replace ploy by the mutants...although why were the mutants attacking the APC so vehemently? And for that matter, why wasn't there a bloody corpse of the real Annie anywhere? Marvin shrugged, if Eve was as powerful as they said, it's possible she had organized the plan from the start. Even more curious was this Adam fellow. How did he get into the base? Something definitely was not adding up right.

A thump from his mech landing on the ground woke him from his thoughts. At least they had the decency to drop him off this time and not toss his mech off the plane. He ran a bootup sequence; it had more parts to it this time, especially with the modifications Marvin had made to it. He always wondered about whether to use the Beam Laser or the Minigun, and now he was able to use both. The only issues were a very slight lean towards the right side due to the weight of the missile launcher, but after some tests earlier he had determined that it would not affect his shots very much.

Then his speaker blared loudly some rant by the U-ARM. Marvin had apparently forgotten to turn the volume down on that, and as he did so, he caught a glimpse of the conversation "My, my, we both know the real objective of your little autocratic regime is to impose further control on a population that is mentally imprisoned through your vicious propaganda. Washington Himself has given me my orders from the spirit of America and her heavenly ruler, God. Upon His word, I will--" upon that last note, the radio cut off. Marvin let off a quip "Heh, canned rant over the radio. Classic." before realizing he needed to set up for the assault ahead.

He looked at his scanners, they hadn't really given him much information, no hostiles yet, though the lookouts seemed to have devices to extend his range. He was grateful for that, and headed towards the front lines, roughly in the middle of the two machine gun nests. He didn't much like the thought of being the center of attention, but he did have the best mech for the job, plenty of guns, ammunition, and a few missiles to keep things interesting. Marvin hoped that this would help give some of the infantry some cover to shoot from, and that his own guns could support the nests. He pulled the green lever, which caused that familiar "Thump" sound of his Weapons Platform system locking into place.

With little else to do though, Marvin got his special drone glove out. It was a fascinating technology, being able to send out a machine to scout without risking himself to enemy fire. If it could be replicated on a large scale...well, that would be a while yet, right now Marvin needed to focus on the task at hand. He pressed a button, unlocking the drone from the control center, then he used the glove to direct it to head to the top inside floor of the building north and opposite of the first lookout, intending to spy on the U-ARM. Specifically, he wanted to make sure he knew when the enemy was going to deploy RPGs, mechs...really anything that would put a severe dent in his mech. Once that happened, he ordered the probe on autopilot, keeping its position in the air. The drone's video cameras lit up, showing all that was around it on a corner of Marvin's screen.

All that remained now was to wait for the imminent assault.
Just made a post. Seems kinda suicidal to go in front of your meat shield, but I'm gonna try to trust Kad on this one.

...I really hope I don't regret this. :P
Imperium-Doctor Gremlock

The next actions happened in a flash, first one of the soldiers was pinned down, then Gremlock had pulled the trigger destroying it. He only barely figured out what was attacking them. Scuva? He had never heard of that one before. Regardless, it was hostile, could be killed by a musket, and was not open to negotiations, which was all that mattered right now.

"Gremlock, I suggest staying close to the middle of the group. It would be wise if we keep together, but not make ourselves clustered enough to create any confusion. Murd, Gryff, I think you two should lead. Florence, you and Trom should back him. Gremlock. You should probably be right behind them. I think it would be best if you save your shots for when they are needed most, as they seem to be able to do the most damage." came the orders from the half dragon's mouth.

"All ri---" Gremlock stammered, before he heard another voice, this one from the Minotaur, "How about you silence that dribbling shithole of yours. You've already demonstrated the tactical aptitude of a particularly deformed turnip and your current 'orders' reek of cowardice."

Lovely, barely 2 feet into the dungeon and already his companions were bickering at each other. Admittedly the Minotaur had a point, the half dragon didn't seem to have the best plans, but even then they weren't incompetent either. "Hey Grem." Gryff said. "Keep up front near me where you have a clear shot. You can then move fast enough to get behind me."

Well, now there were two conflicting orders. Gremlock wanted to follow Raen's plan since it kept him behind all of the meat shields, but at the same time neither of the mercenaries were following his orders, which would likely render the entire strategy moot. In the end he sighed and went to his position in front of Gryff. A flurry of thoughts went through Gremlock's mind. Unlike the mercenaries, who didn't seem to care whether the half dragon died, Gremlock did care, but there wasn't really a whole lot he could do, not with his only other option being the untested Elephant Gun. Well, that or a fireball potion, which wasn't the best thing if the dragon was pinned down like the soldier was. He then started reloading his musket, though keeping ready to get behind Gryff if necessary, and said, "All right Gryff, I'll go with your plan, but you had better cover me, I don't fancy being a meal to these things. Also, I'd advise going into that hallway over there, like the experienced Imperial soldier motioned for." Gremlock hurried, trying to get the musket loaded as fast as he could, though with some care put into it at least. If he was ready, he was going to shoot at the nearest enemy, who would be swarming their position pretty soon. If not...well he hoped everyone else could take care of it.
