Long as you wouldn't mind a somewhat slower poster, then heck yeah this seems interesting.
I think I get it, so I'd be in!
Feel like i'm trying too hard, but still plenty of spots open!
Always room for more!
Sadly not at the moment. I've been using a lot of them on the RWBY D&D campaign I dm. But I'm always willing to work one up! Shoot me a pm and we can discuss!
Edit: Added another idea.
Still looking!
Still searching!
Bump.
Greetings friends. I have lost touch with the last couple people I had been planing to roleplay with here from life getting in the way. It's sad, but I haven't given up hope just yet. So, I come with new ideas, and hopes that I can be better this time around! So, let's get started shall we?

First off, we'll take a quick stop on some personal notes/rules/advisements/what-have-you.
I can vary on how often I am here, and my time schedule varies as I work night shift, that's 11pm to 7am est, and the shifts vary.
I have about two years experience, though I've still much to learn I'm sure. I'm no higher than casual I'd say, as I feel if I write too much then I am simply forcing unimportant pieces of info just to make it fit the length; but if I type just a sentence, I've never said enough.
I may seem a little...disjointed with my ideas in my posts. If that throws you off/the idea of a not entirely cohesive post puts you off, this may not be for you. I do understand.

And with that, let's throw some stuff down I suppose. So, an idea I've got.

Saint Angels Academy

Saint Angels.
A place for any and all who wish to truly surpass the trials laid before them, and enough structure to keep any undesirables in line. This system is top of the line, includes a home away from home, and guarantees that any students will succeed. World renowned, and highly celebrated by many a scholar, this establishment truly is the school to go to.

To the outside world that is. From the inside, this place is a testing facility. It's there to weed out the mundane from mystical, the talentless from the oddly talented, and a prison to any who enter. What is seen on a daily basis is enough to make the hardest people lose faith in any kind of strength they might have, and those who don't have any are rarely seen for more than a few hours. Welcome to Saint Angels. You're here for life.

If that was a little too vague, what I'm trying to get at is these main points:
1.Magic and similar attributes are not overly well know/well viewed by society as a whole.
2.The school is meant to help keep their powers in line, but is a front for a prison like area, albeit still actually being a school.
3. And lastly, all who go either come out successful for their purpose, or don't come out at all.

You have come to take on the role of one of this year's newest students. Your job, as it were, will be to figure out what is really happening here whilst surviving the daily struggles and oddities that the facility contains. Powers range on the entire spectrum, from simple mind reading, to elemental kinetics, to speed and strength. None of which are at what would be deemed super human levels, they are still far beyond what most can manage with any amount of training.
Another Step

It had been years since humans had managed to come up with anything more than the next miniscule upgrades for touch screens and home interfaces on a tech front. So many things swept under the rug for ethics reasons, or simply for the lack of interest to be funded. Yes, technological advancement was at an all time low. In the open, that is. Underground developers had been working tirelessly for roughly a decade on their biggest project yet. The one thing every child had dreamed of, and every adult yearned to still experience. The chance to interact with a physical form of a fictional character. It had been twelve years exactly when their dreams came to fruition, and the first being brought through to our world. They chose a figure they deemed harmless as possible, and thus we gained a carbon copy of Sherlock Holmes. In fact, he was more than we expected. Once released to the public, he was quickly one of the best detectives the world had known, just as his old namesake. So, with this beautiful breakthrough, more were brought to life. The first few still human, the next slight variances, until finally we were able to replicate anything you could bring to them. This was the high point of our existence it seemed.

And then the inevitable happened. Someone decided to try and bring multiple through at once. And the first step was taken. What happened after would never be forgotten if the human race lived through it. A shock wave, whipping through through the planet at speeds unimaginable began to twist and warp the figures we had come to know and love. They became violent, brutish, and willing to attack anything and everything. It didn't take long for entire portions of countries to fall, and it wouldn't be too much longer before the planet fell to them. In one of the last pockets, anyone lucky enough to get away gathers in an underground bunker. One of hundreds. Here, they will formulate their plans to strike back. With what they're up against, they stand little chance as humans. More research is done, and it's discovered quite soon that these creations could be implanted into people. They will become, in mind and body, the character imprinted upon them. The first tests yield insanity for the test subjects, and they are put down. It's gruesome but necessary, it's deemed. But finally, the first successes come through. Two young adults stand amongst the hopeful survivors as the first spark of hope they've had in years. They are the first, and last chance the people have. If they can be successful for even a small amount of time, humans have hope.

Sorry if that's overly drawn out. It is how it sounds though, an apocalypse by our own hands, and by the hands of our favorite characters and heroes now turned destructive monsters. We would take the roles of these two successors, with our main goal as survival in a world torn asunder.
With those main ideas aside, I'll name a few things off here for fandoms in case they don't interest you.

Cave Story
Final Fantasy (simply ask which ones I know)
RWBY
Sword Art Online
Angel
The Walking Dead
(As well as others I can't currently think of. If you don't see one here you think I might know, feel free to ask. I don't bite.)

Otherwise, I believe that's all. Hope to hear from someone! Brawler, amblin' on.
