Name: Cynthia (Tegrel MK II Unit 0)
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female

Description:
The Tegrel series are precision killing machines, programmed with stealth and martial arts techniques from around the galaxy. Cynthia is a prototype series model android that has no memory of her former self. Through second hand knowledge, she has learned a little of the corporation which designed her. She was designed by a rogue scientist as a pet project, and built with an emotional processor, as far as she knows, totally unique to her kind. After learning of the chilling fate her counterparts hold, she has dismissed her origins, and taken up a name she found, "Cynthia." She wanders seeking redemption, but part of the journey is learning what that means.

High Concept: Violence is not desirable. However, those that only exist to cause chaos should be removed. I.E. other Tegrel series.

Quirks: Can understand and feel emotions, but is often perplexed by them. Has the best of intentions, but social ineptitude can cause problems.

Skills:
Top Tier: Sneak, Perception, Athletics
Good: - Melee Weapons, Projectile (Thrown) weapons, Pickpocket, Influence (Can be influential because Tegrel are feared)
Bad: - Ballistic Weapons, Energy Weapons ("can use" but refuses) Negotiate (Too socially inept,) First Aid and Surgery (Helps by preventing damage, but being designed to kill, it's hard to help once someone is already hurt)
Name: Rain Edwards
Age: 28
Gender: Cyborg Male

Description:

He was once a bodyguard for the CEO and Owner of a mega-conglomerate. His cyborg enhancements gave him the ability to move quickly and stealthily, while his mastery in close quarters combat allowed him to stay close and protect his employer while remaining incognito. However, that is in the past now, as his employer passed away in an accident. Now he wanders from place to place as a sword for hire, carrying a red blade with a distinct trigger grafted on the scabbard.

High concept: "Out there, only the strong survive. That is the Rule of Nature."

Quirks: Always listening to background music while engaged in combat (it determines how he fights). The colour purple.

Skills:

3 Really good:
Melee weapons, Sneak, Athletics

4 Decent:
Projectile weapons, Perception, First Aid, Ballistics weapons

5 Bad:
Programming, Research, Electrical Engineering, Linguistics, Surgery

Neutral Skills:
Negotiate, Influence, Pickpocket, Brawling, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Weapons
Name: Kamina
Age: Unknown, around 25
Gender: Female
Description:

A mute orphan taken off the streets by an old, rich artist, Kamina was enhanced with cybernetics by a team of commissioned scientists and engineers. Halfway through her transformation the employed company went under. The artist realized health bots were not going to be available to him soon enough to save his life. Determined to make his dream of living longer a reality, the old man finished Kamina's cybernetics himself, using his own strange controversial methods, and restored her voice. She successfully cared for the man until his death (an extended 25 years later than predicted).

Kamina's voice is slightly electronic and musical. She can heal quickly and effectively. She enjoys singing, organizing things, and is obsessed with animals. She inherited her "father's" love of art, beauty and peace, and doesn't like conflict or violence, but can defend herself with a crossbow if necessary.

High concept: We are a fragment of a dream within a dream; while we are here, we might as well dance.
Quirks: Gets confused easily, and is usually humming or singing.

Skills:
3 Really Good Skills: First aid, Surgery, (general awesome healing stuff) Projectile weapons (enhanced crossbow)
4 Kind of Good Skills: Influence, Perception, Sneak, Negotiate (Fairly charismatic/convincing)
5 bad skills: Brawling, Athletics, Ballistic weapons, Mechanical Engineering (no common sense in combat, kind of fragile)
Name: William Kaufmann
Age: 32
Gender: Male

Description:
William is 5'11" with a fairly muscular build, weighing approximately 200 lbs and has an above average intelligence. His left arm and both legs were blown off during a small skirmish with a rebel force. Afterwards the military abandoned him. Limbless, William delved deep into cybernetics and prostheses, determined to regain what he lost. Fortunately, he had the help of an old friend, Alphonse, from the military. After years of experimentation they were able to make considerably improvements to publicly available prostheses. The prostheses rivaled some of the highest grade military technology.

High Concept:
"I ain't dead yet!"

Quirks:
Because of his past, William is often haunted by the memories of the battles he fought, frequently experiencing night terrors. In additional to his psychological state, he often experiences intense phantom pains.

Skills:
Good- (Brawling, perception, Athletics)
Decent - (ballistic weapons, first aid, sneak, influence)
Bad - (surgery, programming, research, pickpocket, projectile weapons)
Name: Andreas Antuan III
Age: 24
Gender: Male

Description:
Andreas is a tiny, wiry little man, his face usually reminding people of some sort of rodent. Underneath his medium length permanently mussed black hair, his Icy blue eyes always seem to be looking right through you, as though he can see something you can't. On his wrist, his PDA seems to have been wired into his skin, and you can see a computer jack in the side of his head, one of those rarer cybernetics allowing a more direct interface with almost any machine.

High concept: "The truth is out there, and I'm going to find it."
Quirks: Can't always keep conversations and thoughts in his head, sometimes saying things he didn't actually mean for anyone else to hear. Always fidgeting, twitching, unable to keep completely still, unless he is plugged into a computer, then he hardly moves at all, barely breathes.

Skills:

What I'm good at: Programming, Mechanical Engineering, Reasearch
What I'm decent at: Sneak, Linguistics, Electrical engineering, Athletics
What I'm bad at: Brawling, Melee weapons, Projectile weapons, Influence, Negotiate
Welcome to the Future! Things aren't quite how we expected them... but it's your job to try and make it work, however you can.

Here I will be posting a blank character sheet, with a few instructions, and in the next post I'm going to show an example character.

Name: (fairly obvious)
Age: (again, obvious)
Gender: (you get the idea)
Description: (here you can either put a picture, or a short written description of your character)

High concept: (A brief sentence or two, giving a general idea of the driving force behind your character)
Quirks: (between one and three little quirks or oddities about you)

Skills: (I will be putting a list of 18 skills on here, you can choose 3 you are really good at, 4 you are kind of good at, and 5 you can't really do at all, the rest will be neutral skills you can attempt, but have no real practice or training in)

Brawling (unarmed combat)
Melee weapons (swords, knives, clubs, etc)
Projectile weapons (bow, crossbow, thrown weapons)
Ballistic weapons (Hand guns, rifles, anything that fires a bullet)
Energy weapons (They do exist, but are rather uncommon, usually only upper echelons can get their hands on them)
Athletics: (running, jumping, climbing, that sort of thing)
Sneak: (being unnoticed, either in a crowd or in the shadows)
Pickpocket: (take it away, or put it back unnoticed)
Perception: (Noticing things most others wouldn't, sight, sound, smell, etc)
First aid: (Emergency treatment and stabilization, not great for long term healing, but can be done quickly)
Surgery: (more for the long term healing, but takes more time)
Mechanical engineering: (you know how to build and repair mechanical devices)
Electrical engineering: (Ditto for electronics)
Programming: (you can talk to computers)
Negotiate: (better at getting what you want out of a deal)
Influence: (you can alter peoples emotions and reactions, wither through charm, intimidation, or some other means)
Linguistics: (you study languages, might not be fluent in a ton of them, but can at least get a basic grasp, and get some context clues)
Research: (your ability to dig up any info you are looking for, electronically, or physically)

In addition to all this, I would like each of you to come up with a reason you might have been imprisoned, whether you did it or not, and PM that to me in Discord
So, do I need to take charge, or are we still waiting?
It's true that modern power devices would be more miniaturized (to a degree, they are already pretty small), as far as making it roll, I was less worried about the balance and more concerned about it no longer being able to make a spherical shape, given all the odds and ends from the new guns to the converters to make the newer power devices work with the old tech, so it either wouldn't be able to close properly, or if it did close there would be all kinds of bits sticking out.
I would like to point out (from a "scientific" standpoint) that adding lasers on it's back would be very difficult... for two main reasons, one being that you would have to try and find a way to make it all fit together so that it can roll up into a ball and still move around fine, and two, power draw... The power core of the droid may or may not be able to support more firepower, and the shields, while maintaining its operating system, and various sensors. I'm not the one who has a say on whether or not you can do it... just pointing out difficulties.
"Copy that, I'm on my way." Rokun put his communicator away and started out towards the landing pad, wondering what was different about this ship. Over the last few days his small security staff had handled any number of incoming freighters, usually bringing in equipment for his dig sites. As an extra precaution, he grabbed his blaster rifle from the weapon locker on the way out.

Out on the landing pad, Rokun nodded briefly to Saidor, then gestured towards the freighter, questioning... "Sir?"
