Whoa fuck this whole argument. Pachamac just called me cute.

Wanna go for some coffee? My treat! :D

To spin this offensive, arrogant, entitled little tirade of self important. Stop sucking off Mahz, stop getting on peoples back over legit complaints and DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE, Prince.

Would be valid, but look at my viewpoint throughout the entirety of the thread. I have always favored a plight that the Guild is not dying, to lay off Mahz and to be productive ourselves. I am the voice of such. Your point is moot given the status of my argument isn't made with the same structure as yours.

So, no, I see nothing. I see you attempting to spin what you called "offensive and arrogant" without at all understanding the structure of what's going on. That statement isn't applicable to me. I said, for legit complaints, to make a structured, organized method of discussing them. I never scrutinized legitimate criticism; in fact, I support it. I never said I'm willing to do anything productive, either. I jumped on this thread to answer a problem, read some comments and chime in. I know, as anyone with keen observational skills should, that when the time comes to be productive on the Guild, I will lend my skills and resources then, however I can. Likely, I'll do nothing more than advise anyone - if that. Not everyone is a fan of my vulgar methods.

Try again.

My favorite part of the circle jerk is the guy telling people to fuck off when he doesn't realize he is the most important part of the circle.

I'd like to think of myself as the biggest dick in the circle. ;)

. If any of you were really interested in helping, you would have gone on to make your own thread, gather together a few people, and start assessing out the actual issues.

And instead of requesting permission to help, I offer methods for you guys to do it now.

Threads are allowed to go on tangents despite what a thread and topic's opening post may be. Why would you think otherwise? Whilst the OP's post may have been decidely extreme and worded poorly, it doesn't matter what that might be if the rest of the thread has evolved into a discussion of other merit. That being criticism of how and what the administration does to run the site. As ASTA replied to you before, Prince, it does not need a new thread when this one suffices perfectly.

Your lack of value to organization and focus is cute. ;) You're cute.

Mahz's general failings to communicate actively enough about what is going on with the site and his reluctance to look for help.

Busy man is busy. I also went over why "looking for help" isn't an easy endeavor.

As far as Jorick goes,

I was actually well aware of that list. But, as far as I go, someone should always play devil's advocate. To make any progress, intellectually, your comfort zone must be pushed, and I do so love to make people uncomfortable with their ideals.

You can lend credibility wherever you want, but none of you have addressed the content of my argument. You bring up new faults. You bring up new problems. Not single one of you will reflect inward to see some more. I never said Mahz was perfect or even that his actions are correct; I said that he was a "mother fucking" adult - there's a difference in there. Dance around the points as much as you want, attack them, degrade them, do whatever, but unless you address them, you're not even past the first step of solving them.

Jorick said Your fanatical loyalty to Mahz is cute and all, but this is just plain wrong. Mahz is indeed a motherfucking adult who is capable of those things, but the argument being made here by the disgruntled folks is that he is failing in at least the 'taking responsibility' portion (due to the shitty condition of the site) and perhaps the 'making judgment calls' portion as well (due to him deciding to remain the only code builder of the site himself despite clearly not having the time or interest or whatever has kept him from doing it for months now). Every single soul on this site has the right to second-guess him, actually, because he's providing a service. It's called consumer feedback. Just because it's free (and by the way, this doesn't mean he's necessarily paying for us to have the site, he has ads on the thing for a reason) does not mean we have no right to say there are things wrong with it. If you were to ask for food and someone were to hand you a free rotten hunk of meat that does not mean you need to shut your fucking mouth and enjoy it just because it's free; you would be well within your rights to complain that it's a rotten hunk of meat rather than actual edible food. Same principle applies here, so please get off your knees and stop mindlessly fellating Mahz, thanks.

The flaw in that is simple. Mahz owes us nothing. We owe everything we have built on the foundation of his site to him. Everything. Every community. Every friend. Every roleplay. Every epiphany. Everything. If it happened on this site, that is due to him. The flaw is that you expect something for nothing from a man with a life.

How about you get off your self-entitled high horse and stop self-fellating. I am no fanatic, I am a realist. The pragmatic viewpoint here is that you expect too much for too little from a man with other engagements. You feel lied to? He feels guilty. You feel entitled? You're not. You feel you deserve better? You already moved on, so stop beating a dead horse. The world does not revolve around you nor any roleplayer on this site. Understand your place, Jorick. It might not be here anymore.

Some people have pointed out that offering help and constructive criticism to a free service is justified. That, in fact, is. However, consistently pestering someone over it is not. There are an abundance of problems, there are; everyone knows. However, again, free service. How about you assess those problems in, again as I said, a different thread to see which the community requests more, then work on it with more haste. That's constructive. Half the posts here aren't even near it. Additionally, if there were places or things that could be helped, then there would probably be a way to do it, but you have to keep in mind that help isn't just help. You have to have a level of communication, dedication, knowledge, skill, trust, so on and so forth. Working on a site, working on coding, integration, etc. is something that two heads can cause more problems with than just one slow one. To anyone whom replied with "constructive criticism for a free service", I aim you at this:

Prince said If you guys want to have different discussions, go make them. Go make them and have a constructive conversation over the site instead of debating over tangents on this one. That's not productive, its just circular debate where none of the Staff or anyone observing the thread can attain useful information by observing and assessing it. You all have voices to be heard, intellectual points to make. Go make them in way that will be intelligent, constructive and structured. What I see on this thread, at this point, is just pointless. The question was answered and beaten to death. Move on.

I gave detailed instructions as to how to go on being constructive. How to voice criticisms positively. Don't you dare think that I don't believe feedback is an effective, constructive force. A thousand eyes are better than one, and that's what we have. I never said a free service was immune to criticism, so not a soul here has the right to say I did. Whomever misquoted me, and you can boldly take this to heart, may go fuck yourself. If you quote me, you best use it in context and you best not only emphasize the parts you think are right or wrong. There is a cohesive whole and taking excerpts from it that drastically change the meaning of the text is detrimental and ignorant.

Saying the same thing a million times won't help anyone. Combating me, because I'm vulgar and tend to be insulting won't be either. I'm no paragon. I've never tried to be. I won't be, as a matter of fact. What I will tell you is that there are far more effective ways to do what you're doing, but you're not. As long as you're not, posts like these lose their value. If any of you were really interested in helping, you would have gone on to make your own thread, gather together a few people, and start assessing out the actual issues. That's effort. That's dedication. That's work, and that's the work Mahz has to do. If you want to help him, get off this thread, get off my back, stop sucking off Jorick and go DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE.

This thread has just-plain gone on too long. Staff is highly-aware of the outcries the site has, we're getting nothing productive done, any real argument for-or-against anything was stomped out early by several of us.

Mahz is a motherfucking adult capable of assessing a situation, making judgement calls and taking responsibility. Not a soul on this site has any right to second-guess his judgement, question his calls or even dare imply there is fallacy in his actions. He provides us a service free of any charge to any of us. His service, to us, has created a community, it has given birth to all of these great things people have vouched for and hold important.

We have already determined the RPGuild is not dying, other opinions are the minority and fall on deaf ears, leaving this thread to fall short of its original purpose.

I also feel a lot of more recent posts are just dick-measuring competitions to see whom can seem the most mature in how we resolve hostilities and conflicts here. That may not be the intention, but when I read through some of these admittedly-impressive soliloquies, it just looks like a redundant series of posts where the next guy tries to sound better than the next. That's nonsense. Half of this thread is nonsense.

If you guys want to have different discussions, go make them. Go make them and have a constructive conversation over the site instead of debating over tangents on this one. That's not productive, its just circular debate where none of the Staff or anyone observing the thread can attain useful information by observing and assessing it. This isn't a problem. It's a topic. I'm on both RPGuild, Iwaku and other sites. A lot of this post has become RPGuild vs Iwaku, someone attacking the validity of stats (stats that I have for the past seven months, thus I know the trends of the site), and an overall emphasis on activity vs. community. I'll address all of it.

First, RPGuild is a living community. It might be hurting, it might be shrinking, but saying that its dying is false. I know firsthand the stubborn roleplayers here that will stay true to the Guild and stay true to Mahz through anything. The Guild will not die until Mahz allows it to and he will have a legion of loyal community members until that day.

Second, one cannot say Iwaku is the new RPGuild. The original and most fundamental aspect of the RPGuild was that it was the reliable rock of a site for all roleplayers. It may have stopped being that since Guildfall, but it hasn't let us down since. It is here for us. So is Iwaku, but Iwaku is not nor will ever be what RPGuild was. RPGuild was alive through so many eras ans convergences of other communities, including the ones I came from, that a site like Iwaku - even if it becomes something great - can never be what the RPGuild was. The thing is, the RPGuild can't ever be that again, either.

Third, I have 7 montths worth of almost-daily stats, but I don't feel the need to tell a single soul here about them or my readings. Just know this: the Guild is stable. It may not be 'healthy', but it's definitely stable.

Lastly, activity is only one aspect of a community. The RPGuild has its own community, but lemme tell you what. There are parts of this community I abso-fucking-lutely hate, but I'm still here. There are vehemently ignorant individuals, there are those only concerned with their own well-being, there are those that refuse to accept responsibility or conditions for their position. This community has a LOT of immature people within it. Those are the faults of this community. There will be faults within ANY community. Despite those faults, I'm still here in three roleplays - two of which are growing larger and have sprouted out of nowhere. Two of which were founded on my prospect of a "Community-created" roleplay. This community is what it is, for better or worse, and those that want to ignore its downsides and dark parts can remain ignorant all they want, but you can't have the solid dedication of the Guild without it. The activity of this site, comparably, is weak. It's a fact. These are things everyone just has to get used to and move on with. If you don't like them, leave. If you can't stand to leave, get over it. If you're brand new here, then I'll tell you firsthand Iwaku has just as many community issues as the Guild. Differences don't determine superiority when such is a matter of opinion.

All in all, I think both sides of this argument are wrong. No one wants to accept the faults that exist universally and apparently no one wants to accept that superiority-of-site is an opinion. You can present whatever criteria you use to make the decision, but to someone else it might be irrelevant. This isn't an objective case.
羨望一族 Senbō Clan

Country of Origin: Fire Country (formerly Earth Country)
Hierarchy and Focus: The Senbō Clan are governed by a body known as the Circle of Smiths made of a leader elected by the people, a leader forged by battle, a leader tempered by the forge, a leader chosen by the first three in a two-thirds vote and a matriarch chosen by the mothers of the Clan. The representative of this clan is normally the leader chosen by the first three. The Clan is one of the single largest clans, in terms of raw numbers, alive and practices with two branches. The main branch are those that have blood ties to the Senbō while what are known as the limb branches have been accumulated into the clan due to their trade skills or other value. The Senbō Clan is known for its immense size, its wealth, its power and possibly most of all its smiths. The Smiths are more akin to craftsmen than mere smiths and have even mastered a technique called Chakrasmithing. The strength of the Senbō shinobi is often overshadowed by their wealth, size and crafts, but are not to be overlooked.

History: The Senbō Clan is rumored to have ancestors that werel disciples of Ninshuu whom not only first strayed from the Sage of Six Paths, but rejected his views of chakra. Bound together in a new social fabric, these original deserters knew they had nowhere near the strength to fight the Sage, so they agreed to an armistice with him. They opted to live in isolation within the Land of Earth countless generations before present day. As the Sage respected all life and could not convert them peacefully, he was left with allowing them peaceful isolation. The Senbō Clan thus began developing its own style and had a significant head start on the practitioners of Ninshuu that the Sage himself scattered around the world. They coveted the power held by the two sons of the Sage and thus have coveted the power of his descendants for generations. Those within the Senbō Clan have had a healthy rivalry with the Senju and Uchiha Clan since before their exodus from the Land of Earth, where they felt their tradeskills and isolation were not best used, This rivalry only grew even greater since their settlement within the Land of Fire. They have become, although technically peaceful, an aggressive clan, constantly encroaching outwards, causing many disputes and arguably one of the most wealthy and influential in existence today The growth of their wealth alone threatens the seats of the wealthiest clans within the Land of Fire.. Almost every clan within the Land of Fire and Land of Wind purchase goods from the Senbō Clan and their trade is guarded so tightly that bandits and enemy shinobi alike fear assaulting their caravans.

Kekkei Genkai The Senbō have two Kekkei Genkai and any member can be born with either, neither or both. The clan has been gifted with a strong affinity for Lightning Release as well as Steel Release, the latter being an Advanced Chakra nature. Their secondary Kekkei Genkai is called Denki Jōmyaku.

Denki Jōmyaku is the manifestation of the Lightning Affinity within the Clan. This Kekkei Genkai alters the chakra network of those that have it to be highly resistant to all other forms of chakra and conduct lightning chakra exceptionally well. This, by extension, grants those with the Kekkei Genkai an inherent resistance, but not immunity to, genjutsu and binding jutsu. By merely having this Kekkei Genkai, the nervous systems, senses and reaction times are enhanced without any needed chakra assistance. This Kekkei Genkai also has two advanced stages:

Jimen is an activated ability that forces electrical currents through the body. This ability is essentially Lightning Release Armor that uses less chakra but comes at a different cost. When using Jimen, user gains significantly greater strength, speed, agility, mental acuity and even control over Lightning chakra, but become significantly weaker at all other elements, basic techniques and molding chakra that has no affinity to begin with. While active, even basic Clone jutsu is difficult and most likely will only result in one clone. Techniques like Rasengan will be entirely impossible.

Genzaigan is the rarest manifestation of the clan and acts as their doujutsu. The eyes of the user will glaze over a deep blue with a bright yellow iris. This doujutsu allows the user to easily see all forms of chakra and electrical currents. Those specialized in the Genzaigan are often, at a point in their maturity, forced to choose between developing it into one of two different variations: the Sei Denryū Genzaigan and the Fu Denryū Genzaigan. The Seigenzaigan focuses on the ability to see electrical currents; its benefit its the ability to predict enemy movements before they are even made by interpreting electrical currents before muscles can even react. The Fugenzaigan focuses on the ability to see chakra, and completely forfeits the ability to see electrical currents for a significantly clearer vision of chakra and understanding of it. No known user of the Genzaigan has ever used both Fu and Sei-Denryū without going blind.

Chakrasmithing The Senbō Clan are known, foremost, as the world's greatest artisans. If that is held true, then their greatest art is that of Chakrasmithing. Chakrasmithes, like all craftsman, vary in skill, thus vary in capability. The most novice Chakrasmithes can turn iron into a chakra conductive weapon while the most skilled can create master pieces capable of sentience or using powerful jutsu normally exclusive to Jounin. In most cases, a weapon crafted by a Chakrasmith has a single effect, such as releasing a variation of a Fire Bullet Technique in the form of a slash, as well as igniting when chakra is ran through it. However, the true limitations are technically unknown. There are very few Chakrasmithes as to perform the craft, one requires both Steel Release and the Fugenzaigan - the rarest genetic combination within the clan. Weapons crafted by Master Chakrasmithes are normally buried with their owners and sold for land or at the price of mountains.
Here guise, I made this just for ju.
