Like you, I also have an expansive Sci-Fi universe that I use in my web series, and I figured I'd bring some of the bigger names here if you don't mind. Of course, these are purely for cosmetic reasons, since they change nothing about each weapon's effectiveness.

Companies

ENSON Corporations:
-Enson: A Hyperion based subsidiary and the name sake of ENSON, a wepaons manufacturer that deals in electromagnetic weaponary, ranging in all shapes and sizes, from handguns to capital installements.
-Ophelia Heavy Lifting: A subsidiary of ENSON, they produce mostly civilian cargo freighters, but also produce a variety of military grade gunships and transports, as well as smaller frigates.
-Brodwell Vehice Solutions: A subsidiary of ENSON, specializing in civilian and military grade vehicles. Most of their military designs are light scout vehicles or APCs.

Kalligan Industries:
-Kalligan: A highly liked branch of KI, Kalligan is the namesake of the company thanks to their vast selection of simplistic yet effective propellant based small arms. They advertise guns that are reliable in every situation, and come with only minimal moving parts and little to no electronic components.
-K-Tec: A branch of KI that oversees the company's developement of energy weapons. They produce mostly military grade laser rifles, thought they have several plasma gun models.
-Martinez Plating Conglomerate: A recently acquired subsidiary of KI, Martinez PC produces a wide variety of defensive solutions. Contrary to the name, they produce things like ECMs and CIWSs as well as armor platings. They came to fame after releasing the highly regarded line of "Spartan" personal armor, which are a now few decades old series of military grade exo-suits that still see use to this day.

On an additional note, I'm working on designing my character now. Should be good fun.

Will try to mix in some of those companies into a lore or story here or there. Would you mind if I did that? I see very good potential for blending it into the backgrounds present.

I'd like to introduce a cityscape to this, it will be in The Collective, a suburban area close to the true Utopian capital of Solomon. Though not quite as ordered, regulated or clean as the capital itself - especially since the influx of refugees fleeing their homeworlds since the Colossus' incursion. The once spacious and rustic New Medinia (conglomeration of Medea and Medina) is now home to many desperate people trying to rebuild their lives ...and the cityscape has changed to reflect the struggles of it's people.

My character will have his current home here.

Song Lore: Performed for the last 'Agónes' held in Medinia, a bi-decade gathering and celebration of the races' history, sportsmanship and camraderie - even amongst rivals. Where selected sportsmen of each sector compete in trials of physical and mental games and a set of winners from each competing race is given lavish titles and some royalties.

I looked at the history, culture and lore of each race and matched them to each instrument in the song. The lyrics seemed very appropriate too, afterall after eons of war had they finally come to an era of utopian peace and now they want to share their light with the rest of the galaxy (until the incursions happened, which set this charitable goal much lower on the collectives' list of priorities, that is).

This is right now just a scaffold on which to build the idea around, a place where citizens of low Merit can still eke out a living.

Got here via the link in Interest Check, saw Rivendell, saw Elrond ...starts making character.

By the way, I'd like to play a non-militia character who might not have a ship (save maybe for personal transport, but certainly not run by more than one). A very unlikely candidate to be mixed up so deeply in all this.

(There are the only playable aliens? It might take me 3 days to complete my character, as tomorrow I'll be busy with a midnight job. But after that, I'll have the whole day to indulge in character customization.)

Hi, this looks interesting.

I've got a few questions, but first, is the discord neccessary for this roleplay? I mean ...well, my experience of discord or chatrooms in roleplays is less than desirable.

It becomes 4chan within a matter of days and encourages hidden cliques.

On a less critical note, I'd like commend the effort put into this. The wiki. How long did it take to make this? If anything I'm going to have a good read tonight.
