Hello all who have deigned to grace my profile with their presence! I am the great Arrayah, lord of the Phoenix. Or something. I don't know.
Anyways, bio. As of writing this, I am a 23 year old female. I am married. I own two dogs (a Dalmatian and a Labrador... so cliche). I work from home. I like crafty stuff and games. I used to be an MMORPG girl, but have since moved on to things like Minecraft and Ark as well as Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress. Who knows what's next?
I love writing, but only get to roleplaying a few times every couple years. Unfortunately, life gets in the way. I'm starting to have more time lately, and thought it'd be fine to start it up again. We'll see how it goes, but hopefully I stick around this time.

That is not to say that I won't take the story where it seems to be headed if it does go down that road, but if you're not interested in romance, it is NOT a requirement to RP these stories. We could even come up with a different story set in the world if you'd like.
Long ago, three kingdoms were founded: Astora, Merineke, and Kallum. The tales of how they came to be have been lost to time, but in the centuries that followed they have grown to represent very different ideals.
Located to the East, Astora is built on peace and love for all its people. Elves, humans, dwarves, and goblins alike are treated as equals. Everyone is important in the eyes of those who rule. The best doctors and caretakers come from this country, as well as skilled musicians and artists. Many of its human citizens are slight in build with fare skin, and light hair. This is not surprising considering the entire country is comprised of forests, with the towns being the only places trees have not taken over. Their banner is a white cross on a blue background.
Located to the West, Merineke is built on military and combat. Many of their workers are blacksmiths or soldiers, and they look at everything with military precision. If someone is not useful, there is no reason to treat them as though they are. Straight out racism is not common, but nor are the humans accepting to any other race besides their own. The people of this country are tall, strong, and tend to have browner skin than their Astoran counterparts because of generations of working in the sun. The kingdom itself is located in a mountainous terrain which is useful for both the blacksmiths located in the country and the soldiers that use the hills to their advantage while fighting. Their banner is a green dragon on a yellow background.

The King and Queen have made a deal with the rulers of Merineke: an arranged marriage. Astora's only princess will be married to one of the princes of Merineke. The hope is that this will cause a bond between the two kingdoms that cannot be broken. Will the fighting finally stop with such a bond, and allow the two kingdoms to focus on defeating the bloodthirsty Kallum? Or will the assassins find a way to thwart the one attempt at peace these two countries have?
Okay, so that was probably long. Here's what I'm thinking. I will be playing the Princess. I'm not going to put a CS here (That's what OOC is for), but she is going to be a troublemaker who longs for freedom more than anything else. Despite this, she has agreed to the marriage because, like her parents, she very much cares for her people and only wants them to be safe.
There are three ways this RP could go.
One: You could play the Prince. This one is obvious. The two have probably never met before except maybe as young children when the fighting was paused (as it does sometimes). The RP will follow them as they slowly begin to know each other and possibly fall in love/mutual friendship. More likely, the Princess will kick him in the face and leave, but hey, anything could happen. In this RP, Kallum will be trying to break the alliance in any way possible, their first objective being to assassinate the Princess and Prince and just cause discourse between the two countries in general before they can be wed.
Two: You could play the Knight who escorts the Princess to the Prince. In this case, it would be an adventure full of action (well I'll try anyways, I may need help. It's hard for me to think of creative fight scenes). Perhaps romance or mutual friendship too, like the previous, but not necessarily. In this case, the Knight will know of the Princess, and maybe talked to her a few times, but they will not start out close. As in the first option, Kallum will be trying to assassinate the princess before she can reach Merineke to prevent peace at all costs.
Three: Any combination of the two of these or possibly even a plot that I haven't thought of. As the title says, the plot is mostly just a Journey for Peace between these two countries. As long as the goal of the story is that, we could RP any other plot you might have in mind. These are just the two I thought of, and most people enjoy.

I will absolutely not be cybering with anyone. Ever. Even if it is just made up characters. It really does depend on the situation, but in almost ALL cases, we will fade to black. It must really really contribute to the story line for me to even consider doing otherwise. Moving on.
2. Anything else X Rated is just fine with me. No probs. Both of these story lines will be containing mature themes because it is taking place during a war with adults who are unsure of where their future is leading. The second option will probably involve a lot gore, cursing, and the like as we'll be traveling through a warzone. The first could possibly too because as the conflict between the main characters resolves, Kallum will become more and more of a problem. So yeah. That's fine. I feel I need to add here that I'm 23 years old. I know it shouldn't be important, but I'm just not willing to roleplay with anyone who isn't 18+ or very close to it. No 14 year olds. For various reasons. Sorry guys.
3. I don't expect a minimum or maximum (who would put a maximum?) post size, but please don't give me one-liners. I have been an advanced roleplayer in the past (I'm coming back after a couple years gone), but I give as much as I get, so I'm sure you'll have plenty to respond to. I'm very into introspective characters, so I always have pretty sizeable posts when I can. I also try to give my partners something they can reply to in kind. I'm really looking for someone who can keep up with me in that respect. I know not everyone is the best writer, but I'd love for things to be grammatically correct and spelled right, as well as enough in the post to move the story forward. If it isn't, it's likely I won't be responding. If there's nothing for my character to do or say, then there's not much for me to respond to.
4. Sometimes I get busy. Be patient with me. I'm married and work from home. I get distracted by games and life. So if it takes me a couple days to post, I'm sorry. It shouldn't happen often. And when it does happen, I'm back to my usual posting schedule soon after. This is at least once a day, more if you reply faster. But! On the plus side, this means that I'm very laid back about how often you post. I know that people have lives, so if it takes longer than you'd like, I'll understand. At least send me a PM to let me know, though. I do tend to post rather quickly (or at least have in the past), so don't feel intimidated. I DO NOT expect everyone to be able to post as often as I do.
5. Please. PLEASE. For the love of god. Grammar. I don't expect you to be the king of it, but just have some. I don't want to see: 'And he roded into the sunset and never looked back again because all this other stuff that makes a run on sentence that makes no sense with the words forever and forgotten repeated 6 times.' I know that a lot of people don't have English as a first language. If that's the case, tell me because I'll be a lot more forgiving. If it isn't, and you still can't write correctly, we were not meant to be.
6. I don't want some plain character with a boring personality. They're always happy, yay! Not for me. I need angst and conflict. Our characters should NOT get along at first unless by some miracle they actually have really really complimenting personalities (in the first option especially). And if they do, they shouldn't just be happy. There should be some fun and witty banter, and possibly fights over values. They will not be stupid or dimwitted or any other synonym. Also, my character will NOT be submissive. She will be entirely aware of the role the world wants to put on her, and she might play it for the sake of her country, but she will NEVER actually be that way. In fact, she probably won't even pretend. She's a Princess, and besides, she has too much pride for that.
