I'm interested, is there room for one more? ^^
Lynx continued to watch the dragons fight. Oh, how magnificent it was to watch a real life dragon battle! He looked at every detail of the fight, hoping he would remember one of the scenes of it perfectly so he could later sketch it in his notebook. He looked at his notebook for a second, a pencil sitting firmly in the coils of leather which held the whole thing together. His notebook was his pride and joy. He kept it with him at all times, just in case something peculiar happens, or if he passes by a creature other than himself to sketch, mainly humans. He realized that he was running out of paper to draw in and made a mental note to himself to buy a second notebook. He was caught off guard when a tentacle had grabbed him. Just before it was out of reach, Lynx grabbed the notebook with his front paws. He tried struggling out of it's grasp, thinking it was hostile until he realized he was now being held by a young girl, most likely a dragon in their own little human form thing. He calmed down a bit, for he knew that the dragons weren't hostile to guests. Or are they? the voice in the back of his head told him. This made him uneasy again, which it always did. It seemed as if the voice wanted him to be constantly paranoid. The girl brought them to a beautiful waterfall. How the moonlight glistened on the stream was mesmerizing. Lynx was a sucker for landscaped, and tried to make a mental picture of the waterfall so he could sketch that as well. Oh, how inconvenient it was to not be in his human form, but he'll have to deal with it or now. He turned his head as he heard the tree-demon, now known to him as Ocotl, made a somewhat irritated remark to him. The mere thought of introducing himself made Lynx feel sick. "H-hello, my name is Lynx..." he said quietly, with a prominent shake in his voice. Just like before, his mouth didn't move as he talked, keeping an eerie smile on his face. "I'm nothing too special, j-just a demon. My main magic I use is transformation and destruction..." The fact that Lynx had just revealed that he was a demon made him feel dizzy. "B-but I would never intentionally hurt any of you or the village," he said quickly, hoping to remove any suspicion in the dragon who had taken him. "I'm disguised at the moment because this is the form I'm mostly in, and I feel more comfortable in it. I will go into my human form, i-if you'd like." He was anxious for one of them to respond, and looked between the two of them.
Lynx was caught off guard when the dragon started to battle. He backed a bit, fearing for his life. He bumped into the tree demon and jumped again, not expecting the demon to be behind him. "Sorry..." he said quietly, although Lynx seemed uncanny because his mouth didn't move when he spoke. He didn't really want to speak, but apologized to the tree out of habit. He looked back to the battle, more interested that frightened. His unblinking eyes watched as the dragons soared through the air, flinging their magic about. He aspires to use that kind of magic. He hated having to destroy things if an adversary challenged him. He made a note to himself to go to the bookstore and buy a book about magic when he went back to the city. That is, if it wasn't destroyed by the time he got back. He started to think deeper about the utter chaos that all of the other demons would bring. Obviously, some other demons, like the tree demon standing next to him, were nice, which made things more complicated for the hunters. He feared that another demon would challenge him, especially because he isn't much of a close-combat fighter, and most other demons are. That allows him to flee easier, however. He started to confuse himself on what demon he'd rather face when the sounds of magic brought his attention back to the real world.
I'm interested ^.^
Lynx was already feeling a bit tense because of the large group around him. He realized that he, too, hadn't introduced himself. He couldn't build up enough courage to speak in front of a crowd, so he mentally prepared himself to speak to Nexias later. He turned his head to see a two headed dragon, looking at him and the other demon. They looked uneasy as they spoke to each other, as if they were two separate beings. This made him more tense, seeing that it was questioning him. He heard a three-headed dragon start speaking. It started talking about how the last time there were two visitors, they ate them. His anxiousness was skyrocketing as he looked at it. It seemed plausible to him that a dragon that size would eat humans. The fact that Nexias talked about bringing a world of pain to them if they damage the village topped off his paranoia like a cherry on top of a sundae. He knew that he wouldn't damage it at all intentionally, but the fact that Nexias would even say that would be because he didn't fully trust Lynx. In any other situation, Lynx would flee from the problem, but that decision would most likely cost him his life at the moment.
Alice stared at Wish for a moment with confusion. "What do you mean memory loss... I was just-" she stopped suddenly, realizing that she, in fact, didn't remember a thing except for her name and the fact that she was a human. "I guess I am losing my memory..." she said, almost in a panic. "What do I do?!" she asked Wish, hopeful for an answer. - "Sorry..." Crux replied to blue with embarrassment. "Memory loss?" Peirce said to Blue. "Never heard of anything like it. Hopefully it doesn't happen to us..." he said, thinking. "Well, the best we can do is hope we aren't affected." Peirce said bluntly. "Oh, and sorry for being in your forest, we will leave if you'd like."
When are you gunna post the doupbepost, The One? :L
Lynx's eyes glistened with awe as the two headed dragon preformed her stunt. He had no idea that dragons could learn such delicate magic. He looked around to see all the dragons around him, thriving as a society. It amazed Lynx. He was extremely happy that he was able to experience this moment. The feeling of awe turned to horror as he heard one of the dragons growl with what seemed to be anger. Lynx tensed up a little, ready to flee if he felt necessary. His attention turned to one of the very large dragons who seemed to be running this whole event. Another dragon turned to the dragon who was holding Lynx, which Lynx now knew was called Nexias, about knowing what his guests were. Lynx's anxiety levels were at a maximum, as he thought the other dragon was referring to him. He felt a surge of fear run through him. He still wasn't sure if dragons hated demons or not, but from the looks of it, it seemed as if they wanted them dead just as much as the humans did.
This demon seemed different from what Lynx had expected. He stared at him still, but with more of a curiosity than hatred. He had thought all other demons killed for fun and enjoyed others' misery. But this demon seemed humble, and just as curious about dragons as he was. He still didn't trust this tree demon completely, however. He could simply be acting, waiting for the right moment to strike. Lynx put that in the back of his mind, though; not the main thing he focused on, but still in his mind should the demon attack. He gave a kind look to the tree demon now. He didn't feel it was necessary to speak. He looked ahead of where they were walking, anticipating their arrival to the town.
I like the idea. :P
