Just trying to catch up. But I think I've found a better posting style. Who knows, maybe next I will start using text colors like the cool kids do...
Aleksei answered Anisim by putting his own spin on Vlad's words.

He then put his hand on the table as if he were placing a bet and said "Yeah. Mission. I need to stretch my legs."

And then Vlad gave his dramatic little speech. And finished it off with a riddle. And left.

Aleksei sighed as Eddie started asking questions. He has some of his own that he launched into once Eddie excused himself. "So that's it? We're looking for information that has to be measured to get results? How do you even measure information?"

At that point he got up and leaned against the wall. He then looked at Roxy. "You seem like you've heard him babble on before. Any idea what he's on about this time?"

Sorry if my post is weird. I tried to make it make sense. But I I'm totally exhausted. Goodnight guys.
No leather jacket for Aleksei. Not yet anyway. His clothes had been taken away at the hospital, other than a pair of combat boots. But those were then taken away as he was given standard issue prison gear. His orange getup and black sneakers identified him as a criminal. It bothered him not to be dressed "right" as he considered it. But he was happy enough to be given the chance not to go to prison. Even if he was still dressed like he was there.
He ate the food. He drank tea. He glanced around a bit. But mostly he just took the opportunity to enjoy his lack of a cage or handcuffs.
He responded in Ukrainian again when the girls entered. One on her own and the other escorted.
"Добре, атмосфера тут тільки покращився дуже багато." (Good, the atmosphere in here just improved alot.)
But that was just him thinking aloud. He kept looking around nonchalantly taking notice of things like how the kid next to Anisim seemed not to want to eat. Or a certain fury that hung about the new girl who'd entered on her own.
And then came the weird part. The announcement. And the particularly odd part where he referred to her as his "pet" in front of a room full of teenagers as if they wouldn't all immediately take that as several different kinds of creepy. Understandably, he raised an eyebrow at Vlad.
Wow. This is getting awesome pretty quickly. Not able to post for a few hours but I will have something up tonight, asap.

Aleksei wandered into the room looking a mess. His cool clothes had been taken away and he clearly didn't care for the orange nonsense they had given him to wear. His long unkempt hair was falling all over his face. And he strolled in observing everything and everyone while pretending to be casual.
Although, he was genuinely tired. And hungry. He had thaought it was odd that they asked him about his favorite food. But now seeing the various plates set up, he zeroed in on the plate of varenyky and sat down to eat.
As he sat down he noticed Anisim. Something in the other boy's features reminded Aleksei of his family. Both his blood family and his now lost crew of fellow Americanized Slavs who had rebelled against the world with him. He thought the boy might be from a similar background, so he said hello to him in Ukrainian.
@Tracyarmav thanks ;) one more character and I'll open the IC

Woohoo!
Real name: Aleksander "Aleksei" Drozd
Code name: Atrax
Age: 17
Skills: Acrobatics, Stealth, Firearms

Animal: Funnel-Web Spider
Bio: Aleksei was born and raised around crime. Russian crime. It was something no one ever talked about. But it was all over the place where he grew up. His father was a drunk who would make his and his mother's lives hell when he wasn't out stealing something, burning something down or beating someone to within an inch of their life.
Aleksei never liked to be at home because of that. So, he would often go out and look for trouble to cause. Eventually he started taking his dad's guns with him. At 14 he was a chip off the old block, going out and getting wasted with a crew of heavy metal misfits who came from similar backgrounds. They partied and sold drugs. Sometimes they'd rob apartments or go graffiti tagging. Occasionally they'd steal a car or hold up a store.
Then, over the past three years, most of the others got arrested. Meanwhile his mother tried to convince him more and more to leave and get away from this lifestyle. She said that he should leave it all behind and go somewhere where noone knew him and get an honest job. Of course, he didn't do this. He kept right on playing with the fire until it turned into a blaze.
He had just gone out with his remaining friends and vandalized an orthodox church. It was something they had always talked about but never actually done. And now on that they had, they felt like they had completed a rite of passage. They felt immortal. Especially Aleksei. And when he went home and heard his father upstairs beating on his mother, he did something he never had the courage to do before. He confronted him.
A fight broke out almost immediately between the two. Aleksei and his father were beating the hell out of each other. Unfortunately, neither one of them sober. Unthinking, his father threw him at the bedroom window with enough force that he smashed right through it and fell to the pavement in front of their house. When he came racing out the house, realizing that he might have killed the boy, Aleksei shot him dead with his own gun before losing consciousness.
