Critical Role? More like Crunchical Hole, haha. But yes, it's pretty uh... well, the Mercer Effect exists for the same reason people think porn is an accurate depiction of sex.

Bio

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

Alessa Heather: PRT Headquarters

'Yeah, that's completely fine, don't worry,' Alessa agreed jovially. She'd have said more, about not wanting to push boundaries, and about not forcing anything on anybody, but Protean interrupted the moment by turning into a wolf-man. Because of course that made perfect sense, as a way of encouraging people to run faster. Obviously.

...in fairness, it was helping her run way faster than before, even whilst screaming to herself and gripping Ira's hand to drag her along as quickly as possible. Logically, she knew he wouldn't grievously injure anybody, because that would be counterproductive. But, well, most people are not particularly fond of being attacked by normal wolves, and Protean was definitely putting on a... terrifying act. Ideally, they'd be quick enough to avoid getting caught either way; she didn't fancy whatever punishment would be laid on the two of them if they were, assuming there would be one.

Raymond Haywood: Highway Robbery

Well, that hurt. At least he was able to maneuver his arm through a hole in the thing to communicate with the team whilst bound up. As soon as he'd gotten his message to the group, he dropped the M16 (let go, rather, since it was pretty much tied to him at the moment, and could be grabbed again at any time) and pulled both KA-BAR knives from their sheathes, beginning to slice at the net and try to cut through it. The net was quite obviously made of metal cord rather than some form of rope, so that'd at very least extend the time taken to cut through the damn thing. And whilst he'd done what he could to put the man out of action for a few minutes, Morales might wake up at any moment, albeit very disoriented; if he wasn't quick, the man would wake up, reactivate his aura of overconfidence, and promptly put Raymond in the ground, or at least in a cell alongside Love Craft.

As for the other three, he could only hope they had things under control with Crop Duster. If not, that'd be a real shame for them, because he certainly couldn't help them in his current condition, and he certainly wasn't going to try and help them if they fucked themselves over beyond retrievability.
@Lauder I, for one, would be happy to have you involved in this. Did you have any particular character concepts in mind?
@Asura ...you're not wrong about that point. I think Eviscerators are typically reserved for Sisters Repentia, though? And the top brass, of course, if they so desire it. But maybe I'm wrong, I'd need to double-check that.
@Asura I'm sure you could convince some Tech-priests to create a weapon along those lines for her as a post-mission reward. Or, just get a chainfist built to human scale; that already has both a chainsword and a power field attached to it, and I believe it comes with a storm bolter attached to the wrist too. Maximised Melee Murder Mode, Activate.
@Asura Hey, if you want to make a Chainsword Maniac Dominion, I say go for it. Just bear in mind, Dominions also tend to bear specialised guns as well, and presumably use them when a chainsword won't cut it. And a storm bolter-toting ally is pretty neat, if I do say so myself.
So, uh, for those involved in the firefight, feel free to have Lucius' group show up wherever and whenever. I'm not sure how exactly to insert myself, so I'll leave his appearance, and how everybody reacts to him and his group showing up, to you guys.
...apparently, these were uninteresting folks with no opinions other than "yes, you are very convincing, and we shall follow you and be part of your retinue", or something to that effect. Either way, it seemed everybody was willing to follow on after Lucius, up to and including the Ogryn. He promptly began to lead the way through the various corridors, listening out for Genestealer activity and turning the opposite direction if he heard anything of the sort. Speaking of which, he managed to cajole the Ogryn's name out of him - Gaduk, or Ga'duk or something, that sort of syllablistic nonsense - and half-stored the names of the others in his group for later use.

In any case, a little time passed after that, during which the group moved downward a few floors. At some point, though, the sounds of heated battle drew Lucius' attention, moreso because the noises made were unmistakeably human in nature rather than the skittering of Genestealer claws he'd grown used to avoiding. And, of course, because they were seemingly nearby... actually, it sounded a lot like two groups of sentient beings fighting one another. Now, what might cause that, he wondered? Perhaps a congregation of Chaos against some Imperial Loyalists? An Eldar clave versus a tribe of orks? Or maybe he was overthinking this, and should check the situation out before making a judgement call on how to proceed. He waved for the rest of his group to follow on after him, (relatively) silently triapsing toward the fight in question, fingering the handle of his sword, ready to fight back against whoever decided to strike first.

@Jbcool@Klomster@Necroes@Wraithblade6@Sophrus
@Asura Well, we have two standard all-purpose Battle-Sisters, a Hospitaller for medic duty, and a Confessor whose focus is short-range firepower. We currently lack Dominions and Retributors, the former working as vanguard shock troops and the latter as heavy weapon users at both long and short range. For the purposes of this game, and considering a present lack of mechanised opposition, I imagine a Retributor would be most useful, if you give yours a heavy bolter and a heavy flamer to handle infantry at the corresponding ranges. Really, though, either would work for the game's purposes.
That's obviously a helmet. Put it on your head and plug it into your body, like a good robot should. You don't want to suffer head trauma, now, do you?
@jbeil I'm missing the significance of you being right about that thing, but sure, whatever floats your boat.
