He carefully searched his memory for everything he knew about the species, while carefully assessing it, even watching as its eyes tracked his movements as he slowly wagged a finger in front of it. Eventually the woman returned, correctly recalling his own name, and introducing herself.

"Well, it is very much a pleasure to meet you, Lian. And yes, I do agree that company is nice to have, especially with a good meal." He stopped to take a bite of chicken from his fork, and a sip of his beverage, before speaking again.

"And it must be said, meeting someone with a hand-dragon as a pet wasn't something I expected from this trip. In my experience,
they're usually found in the company of tribal shamans, herbalists, and other occult-based professions, so its interesting to see one in the possession of someone seeking to become a private investigator."

Did...did you just say that you think reading the other player's sheets is META-GAMING? So you mean to tell me that you NEVER read the sheets of anyone else in the RP at all, ever, because you think it's meta-gaming? How the hell are you supposed to know what anyone else even is, when you read their posts? Based on your logic, I could read @Cherrywitch's opening post, and make the assumption that Violent is a sentient loaf of Sourdough bread in the shape of a woman, because to actually read the sheet and know what the character is would be meta-gaming. You're SUPPOSED to read other people's sheets, that's why they're publicly displayed in the thread. If the intention was to keep them private, then there wouldn't be a publicly-viewable section of the thread, specifically for character sheets.

@Burning KittySo did you even read my character sheet? Because generally you're supposed to read the character sheets of the other players, so you can properly interact with their characters, and understand why they do what they do.

@TwelveOf8@Lady SeluneIf you two still wanna give this a try, I'd be up for that. Characters would likely have a much larger lifespan that I was initially expecting, and if possible we could try to keep the same characters alive throughout the story. I have some different events drafted up, and so I could run your characters, and likely some collectively-controlled Squadmate NPCs, through them as we figure out a real story.
