My intentions are to play a single character at the start, and record how his actions will create a faction over time.

Is anyone currently looking at a small area of the map northwest of the main fertile area, just south of the area that looks like ashlands, and north of that small mountain range? I'm not looking at making a faction, but rather a character with a lifestyle that would be extremely likely in that specific region, and if anyone is planning to use that area, I'd love to talk with them about culture and other factors that their faction would have on my character.

Time does work quite well, considering the dates that were included in the history. I'm chiefly just wanting to know when the war would have occured in my character's lifespan.
