You showed up.

One way or another, you've arrived at my profile. You've taken a wrong turn in an alleyway because you didn't pay enough attention to your map. You've heard of something cool and new and thought maybe you'd see what all the fuss is about? Or maybe it is that you noticed like me updating my status or were lurking through an RP or something I am in and just kinda clicked my profile, that happens too. Regardless, you'll come to learn that your actions have consequences. Not this one since you can always just, like, leave.

I have a few names and I don't mind being called whatever you fancy at that given time. KingofTheSpectrum, FamishedPants, ChadChadlainn. Any derivative of these is fine as well. Most tend to use Pants, however. I'm nearing my thirties and enjoy games, anime, V-tubers, and visual novels. You can find my still-obsolete list here as it contains everything important on it.

As for games particularly, I am a huge fan of Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Nier and its sequel, FFXIV, and recently, Project Wingman.I tend to lean towards shooters and action games, but I have also wasted 8+ years on League of Legends. I think the only games I tend to avoid are card games and sports games, but there can always be exceptions.

For anime, I tend to watch whatever looks entertaining. It doesn't have to be good. I've seen a lot of the generic, poor-quality isekai harems that are out there. It's difficult to remember what I actually genuinely like, but Chaika the Coffin Princess comes to mind, as well as FMA: Brotherhood. I'm currently enjoying Tokyo Revengers.

I've read my fair share of visual novels, as my list would tell you. I can't recommend going through Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited, then playing Alternative enough! Big fan of Rance, Grisaia no Kajitsu, and Demonbane as well. I could probably go on and on about them, but I'll stop here.

Also, fuck you, Broken.

God damn @Pirouette stop posting I don't think I can take so much smug. It's hard on my heart.
I have now decided that Shizu gets flirty when under the influence. I have also decided that making an important test is a surefire way to kill off Kurou, since he's not very smart.
@easy modo

I am. Or, well, will be. Just so that those who are not in the Discord know, I am likely going to be gone until the middle of monday or so. Since we have people dropping out of the RP I guess it might be good to get things started so that nobody else loses interest, so I am willing to cooperate with other people when I get back!

@Pirouette
Is that a smug Tatsumaki? <3
@FamishedPants

I'm pretty sure KoL is miffed by the fact that this wasn't really advertised as a Sandbox RP to begin with. As for mention of a plot...I mean, wasn't that the whole discussion we had in the first couple pages of the OOC?

That is true, but at the same time, the summary does not hint at anything resembling a plot. To me, unless I am directly told otherwise, I always assume that means that there is no intended plot but rather this is a more character-interaction-based roleplay.

I cannot comment on discussion about a plot, as I don't really keep up with the OOC unless somebody mentions me. I usually just wait for Fiddle, Life, or Zelly to bug me on Discord when something important is happening.
Well, considering that no good answer for my questions came and that only one of the GMs had the consideration to address them in some shape, I'll really leave this RP.

I hope you guys have fun, but this is just not my style of enjoyment.

I'm looking at Zel's response to you, and then I'm look at Zaxter's response to his response to you, and I'm a bit confused as to how you don't consider that a good answer. Maybe you meant a favorable answer? They pretty much told you what it means to be in this RP. A sandbox is open and people must start interaction. Currently, there is no plot. I had offered to start discussing one since that might be a good way to get people involved together, but nobody seemed to care enough about it to answer... :C

Anyways, why did you and Windel think there was going to be any plot or direction? There was a fair amount of evidence suggesting this would be a slice of life, sandboxy thing. Any mention of a school setting should give that away. Also the show this is based off of is not really known for its engaging plot. Plus, I don't think there was mention of an actual plot in the front page (although I could be wrong, I did not check before writing this). But maybe it just seems obvious to me, who knows.

I am all for having a direction, a purpose in the RP. Admittedly, I joined this just to kinda throw out some memes most may not get and do nothing in particular aside from character interaction. But unless Zelly and Life suddenly have a problem with it, we could always make an actual plot of our own. Actually even if they do I think Life will be in a game-induced coma for at least a week and who even likes that Zelosse guy amirite? If you like your characters and the setting, then there's no need to throw them away.

If you guys still leave, then I wish you luck in finding an RP with a good setting and plot to follow (and wouldn't mind a PM if it has extra slots C:). You do you.

If we're in THAT need of a serious plot I think I could come up with one. Question is, what kind? Do we want a shounen plot or like a mastuh roosemayne? I'm sure if I inject some hidden memes into it, I could even convince Fiddle me diddle to help with it.

This is assuming it's okay with my waifu.

"More, better food?!"

The only idiot here was Hikari, if she had expected Kurou to fall for such a blatant lie. He might not have been the brightest bulb in the bunch or the sharpest tool in the shed, but he would not be fooled twice! Besides, if his brain was shrinking, then how come his sister was so brilliant and capable?

Wait, could that be the cause of the clear distance between the two in mental ability? No, there was no way. If something were happening to his body, then he was sure to notice it.

"What kind of idiot do you take me for?" Kurou asked, sighing loudly.

Well, he might not want to hear the answer. Instead, he followed Hikari over to the table, where he found an assortment of food to devour. There was a number of different kinds of sushi and rice balls that caught his eye, so he took a plate and grabbed what he could fit on the plate, which happened to be quite a bit. He might not need to worry about another meal, or so it would look. Kurou could eat quite a bit and not get full, probably because he was constantly moving around when he got the chance.

"It all tastes so great! Shizu's really missing out!" he thought aloud, unaware he had done so as he was quite absorbed in eating what he had taken.

But once he had brung himself to look around, he noticed a literal pun behind the table, offering burritos. Of course, he did not actually get the pun since TV wasn't something he watched too often, and if he did, it wasn't anime aside from Wyvern Testicle X. Aside from the title of the series, Kurou did enjoy it a fair amount. But basically, the man just looked like an out-of-place foreigner and the male Yoshikage couldn't bring himself to ask why he was there.

"Stuff yourself! There is plenty! Oh perhaps we should actually get some decent food in the canteen instead later!?" Hikari asked rather loudly, looking at Kurou.

Kurou almost let the surprise be visible on his face, but managed to keep it hidden. The way she had worded that had made it sound as though the food on the table was not very good compared to whatever else they had. This was a big surprise. This girl was the Student Council President and had obviously been here for a bit, so that meant she knew what the food tasted like, yes? Then... if he thought this food tasted great, then what would he think of the food in the canteen?

Was man allowed to even experience such pleasure?

"I'd be right happy to!" he agreed in a heartbeat. "My old school had nothin' on the food they got on these tables, I can't even imagine how it would taste!"

Kurou was basically drooling at the thought at this point, it was clear to see that whatever his old school had fed him, it wasn't even comparable.

"Food..."

Was not knowing another person's species something he was going to have to look out for? Hopefully not, as he would definitely be considered one rude dude in that case. Well, it was not as though he could do anything about it. Reading books made him tired and it was not like he knew which movies he should watch to get a general idea on different races. Maybe he should ask his sister later? She would probably know what to do, she was smart unlike him.

"I will try to learn more about vampires later so this doesn't happen again." he promised.

Hikari did not seem too caught up on his ignorance though, and instead opted to tease him as previously mentioned. Kurou simply did not know how to deal with being teased playfully, as it rarely happened like that. He was used to bullies, not friends, after all. But it did seem better to him that no apparent malice was intended from Hikari, even if she did just say he had a peanut for a brain. At least he hoped that was the intent. If she was really insulting him, he did have a tendency to get a little bit rowdy, which was good for absolutely nobody involved.

"I don't have a nut for a brain!" he declared strongly. "I'm pretty sure that would kill me!"

Kurou perfectly feigned a tone that made it sound like he wasn't completely sure if it would kill him or not, if only to try to go along with the joke.

The conversation they were having suddenly took a very pleasant turn, as Kurou had become somewhat parched from that hellish bus ride he suffered through earlier. He did not give a proper look at the tables earlier, but if there was anything to drink then he would jump on that. He wasn't exactly hungry, but there was almost always room for a snack, too. "Thank you for the offer, but I'll go with you instead to see what's there." he replied.

So, Kurou followed the young vampire student council president to the snack table and perused their wares. Or whatever words you would use to make the simple act of inspecting a table of snacks sound fancy. Kurou wasn't sure. And Famished wasn't sure what kind of snacks those eastern types ate, or at least what kinds they would put on tables. Riceballs? Did they just throw onigiris on tables? Like shit man I ain't even seen snacks on a table except at birthday parties and those were always usually mexican food because I live in Arizona and I guess that's just what people do. Do Japanese just throw burritos and punch on a table and call it good? I assume not. I hear they're actually very zealous and it doesn't sound very likely. Now that I think about it, have I even seen a mexican in anime? Or like anybody that isn't american, russian, or german? God I probably shouldn't drink alcohol before posting I sound like I'm high and yeah I didn't use zealous right ///endrant

"What bad taste vampires have!"

Well maybe her nephew should be reading better books! -- is what Kurou wanted to say, but did not so as not to appear any more stupid than he already did. How could you fault him for not being into those boring collections of paper? He liked playing sports and he liked moving around. Movies and books did not satisfy this requirement in the least, so it was fairly rare that he ever bothered to watch them. And ever since he was tricked into watching a movie about ghosts, he had been rather cautious in what he viewed nowadays.

"Well I am glad your nephew is five and has seen vampires before. But since he is your nephew, would that not be weird if he did not know about them?" Kurou asked, his sour tone unhidden as he replied.

"Fine! I'll explain!" Hikari suddenly stated, moving over to a flag and casually taking it from the wall and flinging it onto her back. Now wearing the flag-cape, she returned to Kurou and took a pose with the cape covering a majority of her face. "Creatures of the night, we catch our prey by careful observation and patience and strike at the right time!" she said, quickly glancing left and right. She looked rather ridiculous in Kurou's opinion. Was she supposed to be scar---

Immediately, Kurou hopped back, startled by the sudden shout.

"H-hey, don't do that!" he told her. "If I had a more violent reaction to that, you wouldn't be able to attend school for the day. Or... well, for a while." He didn't bother to go into detail about it.

Apparently she did not hear him or just did not care enough, because Hikari decided that instead of acknowledging his warning, she would ignore what he said minutes ago about getting too close to people by hugging him. He did not particularly dislike it, but it did feel weird to be touched so often by a girl he had only just met. Why was she so touchy?

Separating herself from him just enough so she could look him in the eyes, she continued on about vampires. "Vampires have a keen sense of smell and eyes that can look through the dark, they also have very sharp teeth that can be used to suck the blood of the prey!" she informed him.

Wait, what? That sounds horrible! Blood tastes all... uh, ironey. Why would anybody want to drink it?

Perhaps disturbed for the wrong reason, Kurou couldn't keep his expression from turning sour. "Is that true?! How terrifying!" He was, of course, referring to the fact that anybody would want to suck blood because of how bad it tasted.

The prickly feeling was unpleasant, and just as anybody might, he had assumed she had just bit him out of nowhere. "Hey! I need that blood for... well, living!" he quickly grabbed the spot on his neck where she had "bitten" him as Hikari moved away. Of course, it became clear that she was teasing him when she pricked his neck with her fingers and it left Kurou feeling a bit upset that he had been rused.

But also relieved. He did not want to lose blood!

"O-oh, okay."

At least he did not seem to mind it too much.

"Well! This should explain as much as you need to know! Keep it engraved in that thing of yours." she told him.

"I will." Kurou answered, scratching the back of his head. A couple of moments passed before he noticed something wrong. "Hey, what do you mean "thing"?" he questioned.

"Vampires are the ones who eat brains, yes?"

Well, as long as she doesn't do that anymore, I guess I can probably overlook it this one time.

Because this was the first time he had to deal with being touched inappropriately, Kurou wondered just how someone would be charged. It was technically an offense against two different people, as they shared a body. Would Hikari be charged twice? A double whammy? This was a very important question to ponder, maybe he should ask Shizu for her opinion on the subject when she woke up. Yeah, that would be the best thing to do, because you never knew when somebody might attack you. Perhaps in her own way, Hikari had inadvertently saved the twins from being unprepared for just such an occasion.

Kurou closed his eyes and expressed his gratitude silently, thinking that Hikari must be an especially nice person to be watching out for complete strangers.

Arigato, Hikari-san.

"As long as you don't make it a habit." Kurou replied, watching the girl's playful body language. Even if he hadn't wrongfully decided that she was doing that to help him prepare for the cold, rough future ahead of him, he might have forgiven her simply by her playful body language. She couldn't have meant much by it.

Rather than stop this expressive body of hers, she continued with increased vigor, bending sideways and flashing her brilliant smile. She really seemed to be somebody who wanted nothing more than to enjoy the moment, and that was exactly what Kurou wanted to a degree. Caring about anything boring was pointless, wasn't it?

"Ha? Well, you don't need to tell me if you don't wanna."

In that case, Kurou would just assume she was some form of demi. Hikari, while fairly enjoyable to be around so far, was nowhere near normal. That wasn't bad or anything. Rather, in Kurou's book, that made it better. Normal was often boring. Boring was bad. Bad was... well, not good. He hoped other demis he would meet would also own refreshing personalities.

Hikari ended up showing him her teeth. He was confused, did she want to show him that she brushed? Yes, good dental hygiene was important to nail down when you were about their age. He was impressed with how white they seemed to be. Although, oddly there was a problem with a few of her teeth. They did not seem as though they belonged on a person. Was it some sort of illness?

Oh wait! No, she wanted to show me those teeth because that was evidence that she was not human!

He had it all figured out. He was absolutely silly to think she was just showing off good hygiene. Since they were talking about the subject, she obviously wanted to show him a sign of what she was! This was it! Now that he had realized it, it was easy to figure out what she was.

"Ah, I see! You must be one of those zombies I've heard about, aren't ya?" he asked.

"Vampire! I'm a vampire!"

Crud. It appeared as though he guessed incorrectly. Well, he spent more time outside than in, and he hadn't seen any other demis in person before so it could not be helped.

"Sorry, I'm not too good with this kind of thing. I have only been around humans and I don't really read books or watch tv, aside from certain action shows." he explained. Well, perhaps he should return the favor.

But how?

It would be rude to try to wake Shizu, and now that he thought about it... he was always a bit embarrassed to explain this to somebody. Perhaps he should let Shizu do it later?

"Huh... I don't think I can show you anything right now, I'm afraid. My situation's a bit... complicated." he confessed.
