Skall- The Skinwalker

Skall gave a purposely lazy glance with one eye from beneath his hat. With a bit of a grunt, he leaned forward slightly and took a small flask of his own personal sake from the small of his back. From beneath the tattered dust cloth his hand rose, holding the incendiary liquid out to the drunkard. Before the man would be given the container of alcohol, however, Skall would have an answer.

"Whatchu mean 'they', pal?" The words were slurred heavily and a light huff of a sigh was added to the end. The potential for some kind of ambush was wholly possible, but it made Skall's stomach churn slightly at the thought of them walking into something far worse than a few shinobi with a grudge.
Skall - The Skinwalker

It was with a small amount of reverence that Skall stood just outside the village of Gobi. There was always an odd mixture of spiritually sound peace before blood was she en masse. Sitting upon a blanket laid out upon the sand, the young assassin watched as a figure or two moved about the village. His presence was subtle: a dust cloak wrapped around his shoulders and a conical straw hat atop his head as he pretended to hunch over in a drunken stupor, empty sake bottles laid out before him.

And so Skall waited quietly, hoping that his father would remain unharmed without him at arm's length. It was difficult to watch other shinobi remain close at hand in the brotherhood of clanship whilst he drifted on the outer edges of Uemura's world. Edges that were usually crusting with dried blood. But that is where he was told to be, and so he remained.

The toxins that remained on his person were of precious value for the moment with the clan's stores pillaged. He would have to use them sparingly if at all, instead relying more on his weaponry and, if occasion warranted it, his hazy red gift.

Letting out a mock hiccup, Skall's eyes darted to movement on the horizon. His eyes were well adjusted to the dark though not capable of seeing through it in its entirety. Either the rest of his clan were arriving soon, or he had drank a little too much of the sake. It was necessary to pull off the role of a drunkard, if only for the sake of the scent of his breath should a passerby interact with him.
Yup, still here. Sekitan is still working on a post and I'm still trying to get around to writing up another for Skall.
Skall Monzaemon Clan Meeting Hall - Night
As the ranks of the Monzaemon swelled in the meeting hall, none would know that Skall was among them. His face lightened with makeup and his clothing entirely neutral, he took on the persona of one of the low ranking ninja that had died some days ago. Although not killed by Skall, he had been the only one to witness the death of the sluggish and undisciplined shinobi with an indifference that practically incriminated him. It was through the eyes of these nobodies that Skall lived in the open, as none here save for the clan heads knew of his existence let alone his face. Skall moved through the room a half-step at a time, never moving with enough purpose that anyone would acknowledge him. Sure, there was a glance here and there and even moments where someone would wholly make eye contact with him but there was never an exchange of words. He was like a grain of sand in the desert, a coyote hiding in the ranks of wolves. The purpose of this meeting was already known to Skall. There was little that happened within these walls that he didn't know about at least through whispers. Direct orders from Uemura would prevent him from acting on anything as of yet and he would instead choose to ghost through the room and sniff around, absorbing rumor and whisper as a sponge. Skall's unique place in the clan, that of a Kabuki branch member controlled solely by the head of the Bunraku, meant he heard things from both sides and knew most secrets of the general populace. What he did with the knowledge was solely at Uemura's discretion however, and Skall would not present information to his surrogate father unless relevant to the man's interests or needs. For now, he wandered through the clan hall in an entirely uninteresting way.
PM your CS to Yosh. Then if he approves it, fill out a sheet for the bingo book (format can be found on the first page) and PM that to him as well and he will put it in the bingo book. This is also when you can finally post your CS in the character bin.
As soon as my first character's comrades have completed their CS's, we will compile our info and get it to you.
I lurk every few hours. I'll be around.
Skall – The Skinwalker
Anybody want to be a Nara? or have relations with Shikako?
My character's father is a Nara. Yosh was talking about using him as part of a backstory, but we could still be distantly related.
