And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

Which direction were you heading again? To the hallway from which Derrick found the keys or the other way where a source of light illuminates the area?
@Gordian Nought
I am sorry for your loss. I lost my grandfather last summer and his funeral happened just a day before my wedding. We even had the same priest for both. Life goes on, as they say. At least in death none have to suffer.
Hmm. Now do we wait for Hekazu or shall I post yet another flash back? Decisions decisions...

In the current situation I do not see much to comment on. Governor needs some time to observe the situation before he shares his plan for the next step.

Although I guess I should mention, now that I've noticed, that not all the soldiers that got a taste of the breath weapon are dead. Some may be missing limbs, but have the wound cauterized shut by the sheer destructive force of the breath or alternatively some were merely grazed and now have their hair standing on end and such, but mostly survived with the scare of their lifetime.
@Gordian Nought Though I recognise that you haven't been online on the site for five days (or perhaps because I indeed noticed that) I would like to request a prompt reply at your earliest convenience.

In any case, I do believe we who are present should keep some activity up: Governor Nighthill will be calling for you soon, but he needs to gather his thoughts first.

I don't personally think anything from me is needed right now.
Sorry for being offline for so long everyone! Someone stole my computer but I managed to get it back today. It's very late right now but I'll try and post tomorrow.

Computer thieves on the loose? I hate to hear that such a thing happened to you, but I'm glad you got it back.

The map of Greenest has been added onto the Characters tab.
The door creaked as it had done before Wolfwing, nevertheless allowing access to the space beyond. It seemed to be a simple hallway, but with pretty much no light in this space, it was tough to tell further. Not being a fool, Derrick borrowed the dying lantern from the dungeon and took a better look around. Even in the flickering flame, he could make out some shapes in the darkness: There were quite a few ragged tapestries around, as well as plaques decorated by skulls of animals. An evident shield and weaponry rack had served here, but now it was empty and simply stood there without clear purpose.

As he stepped just a bit further to investigate, he noticed perhaps the best thing about this place: The smell of dust hung in the air, but at least the dampness and smell of mould were not present in this space! Just before the lantern took it's dying breath, he managed to notice the very thing he was here after: A ring of keys was hanging from a small hook on the wall to the left of the door (looking from this hallway to the cell block).

@Hekazu

You should paste it on the first post of the OoC with some basic info about Greenest like "This farming village is known for its truffle crops and once was the home of Sir Pecs Flexington, muscle wizard" or something.

Speaking of muscle wizards, the first game I ever DM'd had a Sorcerer whose source of magic was his oiled muscles. He was a tiefling that had adopted a virtue name for something they were going to achieve... and that name was no more, no less than Swaglord Yoloking. He is still my favourite Wild Magic sorcerer to this day.

Now about the actual subject, I could do what you suggested. SoonTM anyway, right now is not exactly a good moment to start picking the most important pieces of the history of Greenest.
Now, unless anyone wants to continue shooting after your glorious and vastly superior adversary Lennithon*, tell me. Otherwise we can break away from Initiative order.
I also found a spoiler free map of greenest! Should we pin it somewhere, or...?

* In no way has Lennithon demanded this praise, for I did it on my own for he truly is the greatest. please don't lightning breath me...
