And back I am. Exhausted, certainly, and may need a while for that to wear off, but I'm once more here to read and even write!

Should have been writing posts. Took part in D&D shenaniganry instead. Got to fix that tomorrow.

There's a lot of backlog here on my end. I'm trying my best to lessen it, but replies might be less frequent for a time. A welcome change from the nothing doing I went through though! Thanks partners!

Bio

I suppose it is about time for me to copypaste fill in some information about myself over here just as well. Only took me a few years to getting around to do it.

I am a married individual in my twenties from the country some people dare claim does not exist. The Finland conspiracy is an old joke, you can stop with it now. Not a native speaker of the English language by any means, though I did begin studying it exceptionally early for our country's standards. I suppose it was some sort of a test case. With that out of the way though, what more should I be saying here...
  • I like being nice to people. If one needs to ask why, well that alone is reason enough.
  • I play and Dungeon Master Dungeons and Dragons, both offline and in the past also over here.
  • I enjoy OOC chatter, be it planning the RP or a more casual exchange (not that RP'ing is that serious). I can make do without, but don't be afraid to talk to me.
  • Whatever the case, I'm here to have fun and hone my writing abilities!
I do think that should about cover it, yes.

Thanks for stopping by I suppose! I do also have a Discord account, but I prefer to start anything RP related on the site. At least with people I don't know from the past, that is! But hey, now if you are a longer time contact of mine and happened to read this, now you know and can ask!

The rest followed Brannor's lead along the stream, approaching the temple in steady pace. Mr. Lake evidently was not the best at keeping quiet, given how he seemed to occasionally cause small things drop into the water, begetting a splashing sound. It didn't seem like he was doing it on purpose, but it did cause one close call with a nondescript group of raiders sighted on the southern side of the water. They almost caught the adventurers in their sights, but luckily even Torus managed to duck into the trees in time. There were just four of them, but they were all people, three of which appeared to have a bit heavier arms than those seen before.

Eventually the temple came into their non-familiar aided sight, under assault as they had been told. Multiple enemies surrounded the building, clearly too many for the group to handle in straight up combat. However, a moment of further inspection revealed something about how these people had set themselves here. On the front door, a mid sized group of two raiders, six kobolds and one really impressive looking man, like one plucked them out straight from a disciplined and well trained army unit, compared to those they were overseeing. The two less impressive men were handling a battering ram and smashing it against the front doors periodically. They wouldn't last infinitely.

There were still two other groups to address though... possibly the biggest threat in the area was the mob that was making rounds around the temple. Three raiders, ten kobolds and two of those drake things they had fought back at the sally port. These were scattered in a mob of no particular order, especially with the kobolds darting around all the time. The last group was apparently attempting to light a fire at the back of the temple, on the back door as Kyra could well tell. The smoke from the fire obscured them somewhat, but it was only a handful of people... two humans and some kobolds, probably no more than six. "So, what's the approach?" Mr. Lake whispered to Brannor, assuming the big man was in the lead.
Okay, I've got everyone now. Playing Tomb of Horrors tonight though, thus will probably get to post tomorrow at earliest. And yes, that Tomb of Horrors. We haven't died so far... My friend decided to port it over to 5E before Tales from the Yawning Portal was even announced, but we only got to play it now. I trust in his ability though. Wish Don Saryn and his party luck! And no spoilers please

@Hekazu I'll be waiting on you then? Don't currently know what's at the top of the stairway so...

The staircase leads upwards for two floors until it comes to a point where the way itself has broken down, but technically would still continue. Both of the floors seem similar to the one you came from: Just a hallway heading somewhere else. If the group decides to head for the uppermost floor they can easily reach, they'll notice a window on the side. Unfortunately a spruce has thrown it's branches in front of the view.

I believe you two can handle Mistletoe for now. It would be wrong for me to play her... she would have too much knowledge about things to happen. She will have stopped on the floor you want to explore.

No sign of the Jailor after leaving him on the lower floor.
Do I need to roll a new stealth or do I just use the one from my last post?

Since the throw is advantaged, you'll need one more roll.
Ah, back from a hiatus I see. Welcome to the guild!

As you are seemingly a new user here, I would recommend checking out the new users guide to get to know the terms the site uses. Hopefully you find the right thing for your itch, those can be terrible if no cure is found!
Hello there, new blood!

Fantasy and sci-fi should be genres easily found within the site, the only thing that remains would be the writing level. To get to know those and other terms the site uses, I would recommend checking out the new users guide! Hope you find what you came looking for!
Greetings, and welcome to the guild!

I am sure you will find people with similar interests and enthusiasm from here somewhere! Be sure to check out the new users guide to get to know the site and the terms it uses!
Assuming no infighting about taking a more direct route, the one discussed currently will indeed offer advantage on rolled Stealth checks!

I will be able to advance the story once I have stealth rolls from everyone, submitted either IC or OOC.
If I may divert your attention to the map on the Characters tab for a moment...

The tunnel exits south-east from the keep, really near to the stream. Again, the streambed is mostly dried up but there's a small amount of water making it's merry way through town. Your destination is the bigger building on the south-eastern part of the map as Kyra well knows. Torus' raven can see most of the town, but where there are no fires it's harder to make out details. A few groups can be occasionally seen prowling the streets, but most of the organised activity seems to be on the other side of the keep.

Your tactic is stealth, but what is your route?

We are waiting for an entry from @Norschtalen, possibly from @Lucius Cypher as well, depending on whether the issues he had have been resolved.
