Seeing the very helpful reviews made me realize what I thought in the back of my mind; that my stories were a little rushed and definitely too raw. I did do em in roughly a quick run each, I think 20 minutes to an hour? I hope I can devote myself to putting more effort into stories I write in the future, but a nagging lack of devotion has me convinced otherwise xD Thanks again for all the helpful reviews and for confirming my suspicions and errors
Cops and Robbers: The story was good, the song was good, but they're completely incompatable. Really, it left me confused for quite a while why such an upbeat and fun song was chosen for a serious and even sad story. Unless you're intention was to have the reader continue thinking onwards that maybe Ashe was only pretending and was working on the inside instead of being a thrall. even if that was the intention, I can't help but say you failed. That aside, yeah, its good, but a suitable song is definitely necessary for it to be great.

Shades of White and Black: I love this. I really love this. The song and the story combine to a powerful wave of bleak confusion within one's self that they can't avoid. I just can't see much issues with this, story and all. I also love how the gender of the person is also unspecified, another great way to substitute the reader. This song and story just fills me with a sense of bleakness and futility, and I love that. Amazingly done. And I love it. Thats surprisingly hard to do, in my opinion XD

Sooo... If its all right with you guys... I want you to go all out when reviewing mine. At least, in the aspect of complaints or your issues with it. Go for it and be cruel to your hearts content, I prefer that rather than sugarcoating stuff. Weird, I know, sorry, but I feel as though I really need a good slap at the wrist or something XD In particular, Platinum I noticed you may have sugarcoated (from what I can tell) your opinion on some of mine. No need for it, bring it on!! XD
Disclaimer: I am an idiot. Its pretty hard for me to tell if I go too far when giving a negative opinion on something, and I apologize in advance for anything that is too harsh or insulting. Also, I tend to focus more on the story that is told rather than how it is told. Also also, I may end up not giving reviews for some stories, but thats purely because I cannot give a decent review for it. Not your fault, don't worry, I just don't trust myself to give it a fair opinion.

Still Waiting: This was a pleasantly lovely story, surprisingly serene and peaceful despite the flowing emotions everywhere. A beautiful story of hope, happiness and love, but also loneliness and cruelty of fate. My only complaints were that the feelings displayed were a little on the weak side, although still an amazing story with it as that. I don't know how it would end up if they were portrayed more strongly, as well as whether it would be for better or for worse. The ending was rather abrupt, as well. In my opinion, and only my opinion, the ending was cheap and just a clean cut rather than a graceful gradual ending. Although it does heavily signify just how tragically it struck her, which is also a great effect. I still would have preferred to see even a glimpse more, her reactions, the results of her mixing emotions.

It Watches: I never was one to understand poetry. This is just a disclaimer to anything I may say that would offend the author, of which I apologize for any future needless harshness; just know that I'm an idiot. I feel that this story has a nice vibe to it, there is a truth that rings from it, but nothing conclusive, in my opinion, can be found. To me, it feels like there's almost no point to it, albeit to raise awareness of an unforeseeable enemy. As for complaints, I felt it was too vague overall. What were the people succumbing to? What is this Bad Thing? Maybe this is the point of poetry, I'm not too sure, honestly. I'm just an idiot. (sorry...)

Perfect Day: This story seems to emanate sort of bleak dullness, a nice way to address the spiraling downfall of a man's resolve when addiction spirits them away. The delivery and the feeling of regret and desperation were quite nice from it, but I can't say I liked it. It did its job well, I just didn't like it (In a totally nice way, I swear). I don't even think I have many complaints for it, and any I could find about the story itself is probably null and void, I don't know what its like to lose someone to addiction therefore I have no real right to nitpick about it. Great job overall.

No Place I'd Rather Be: I like this. I really like this. There's so much carefree happiness, despite the hardships that would lie ahead for them. I love how light it all feels as well. Although I'm not usually one for light feeling stories and tales, an occasional one or two is a nice experience from all the heaviness from everything else. The positivity in it is lovely. No complaints.
I try to listen to the songs while reading, and if I find the music too distracting, I just listen to the music first. But thats just me, who knows what'll work for others
so wait, where can I find the entries?
the one I finished isn't for voting, its just another typical love story xD
And huzzah, my final entry submitted, hopefully just in time.
Huh. this means I can do that third story then. Its a little long though, I think well over the 3000 word suggestion...
If you need help or suggestions, I would love to hear what you story is like as well as the song, see how well in my opinion they mix. Then again, just my opinion, not sure if it'd help, but *shrug* option is still there
