So right now in the RP we are in the afternoon right? So night is approaching in 8 hours, roughly. I ask because I want to make sure all the time-line’s are matching up correctly. Also, are we on day 1 or 2 in character?
That sounds about right, and as far as I can infer, I'd say day 2 of the infection.
Okay guys, just made a Google Docs Spreadsheet that anyone can edit - please feel free to add characters and update locations as the story progresses, to help keeping track, especially for those that haven't yet posted. Going to put the link here, and in my signature, so feel free to check it out. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rGoXWycl7e-ffwfxjeTrPPC1ZhzWLdxqHxdf0M_KZnQ/edit?usp=sharing
I'm going to attempt a post while I'm migraine free and awake. It won't be at all pretty. Where are the players generally located?
General location? Check the map on IC, that's where everyone is. Specific locations: Adrian (TheYouthPastor): Started at the Oakwood Apartments, now at the movie Theater across from the Shopping Center. Dima (The Ole Tom): Started in the woods to the bottom left, but headed north and then west, and is now on Highway 70 (bottom left of the map). Everest (Mike Wasowski): Started at his house, but headed down the street a short distance at the sound of gunfire. I'd put his house in the Lakeview Apartments section, and I'd say he is currently at the Townhomes section adjacent. Lily (HrBingR): Started at the Shopping Center, but is currently 100ft from Everest's current position. Ben (RAdam1792): At the Police Station in the top left corner of the map. Iris (MissCapnCrunch): Just outside her house. Based on the location of the bar, I'd say Hillcrest Apartments. Damien (TheYouthPastor): Also at the Police Station. Dolro (MamaSushi): Also currently at the Theater. And that about wraps it up! I think I need to make a spreadsheet or something with everyone's current locations, just for reference in the future.
Lily found her bicycle in the shopping mall parking lot - she could've sworn she'd seen someone head into the theater across the road, but now was not the time to dwell on that - the only thing on her mind was Everest, and day wouldn't last forever. She got on the bike and started peddling, deciding to go back the way she came. The thought of night scared her more than anything else had - she couldn't be outside when night came, night is when the walkers woke up. Night was when they feasted. Lily cycled to the gas station close by and saw it had already been looted. There were a few walkers in the area, and even more in the convenience store inside. She decided not to go in, and kept peddling toward the general store to the south. In the distance she heard a gunshot, in the general direction of her house. Oh God, Everest she thought, tears beginning to form in her eyes, fearing the worst had happened. She pedaled hard, heading north to the residential district - hoping Everest was safe. She heard another gunshot, closer this time, but she still couldn't determine where it was coming from. Whoever it was, it was attracting the attention of the walkers on either side of the street. Finally as she continued she saw him - Everest, and her heart sank with relief, but there were two more people on a lawn nearby, the one with a rifle and another without, staring each other down. Lily wouldn't be able to get to Everest without drawing attention to herself, so she got off her bike and dropped behind an abandoned pickup about 100 yards from them, and slowly crawled underneath, leaving her bike propped against it. She had to try get Everest's attention without alerting the others. She took out her cell, but there was no reception. She'd have to wait until the conflict was resolved. She took a glance behind her and saw a few walkers heading toward the shooter. Luckily during the day the walkers are slow, but she'd hate to see what they could do in number. Large numbers during the day would be bad - she shuddered to think about night.
Hey! Apologies for not being active in the OOC (I didn't see there was a page 2 for comments, I'm ashamed of myself...) but I'm ready to rock and roll! Mike I'll pm you my skype name so you can add me to the group. Also I'm fairly new to the whole concept of RP, am I right in suggesting that the GM (Youth Pastor) will push the narrative in a direction with a non character post (as in not Adrain)?
Hey man, love your introduction!
Lily had found the Gamestop where her brother Everest worked, but the place was seemingly deserted. In fact, most of the Riverside Center was deserted, with a few people lurking about. She approached the store in the mall and looked through the glass windows to see if she could see anything. The lights were off, seemingly nobody in the store. Damn, must've missed him on the way here she thought to herself, wishing for the best. She turned from the store to head out, and decided to take a cursory glance around the mall. Luckily for her, most of the mall was unpopulated sans a few looters. No sign of the infection, The plague, she thought to herself, but most people had fled, and the looters had come to take what they could. I hope you're okay, she thought, thinking of Everest, a cold shudder running through her. No, can't think like that. She swallowed hard. Most of the stores in the mall had closed, only one or two with their lights still on, and many already had their windows broken, and their things looted. She decided to leave the mall, he wouldn't be here anymore. Problem is, she had no idea where he would be, and night time wasn't safe.
Seems I made it somewhat just in time? Thankfully I checked to see if my character was approved, and so she's been posted. This is going to be fun, really looking forward to it!
Image: Name: Lily Parker Age: 15 Background: Lily had an easy childhood, at least in the eyes of her friends, but in reality, it was very lonely. She had her brother Everest around, but they never really spent too much time together, especially not since he'd gone to college and she was still stuck in school. She had a complete circle of friends, most of whom were only there because her parents were rich, showering her with gifts, but very few words. She had taken athletics elementary school, and by the time she got to high school, she was rated among the top of her class. She also enjoyed occasionally partying with her friends, but mostly spent time in her room listening to music, writing, and updating social media. When the news of the outbreak hit, her parents were nowhere to be seen, and her brother at work, so she left on her bike to go find him, but by the time she got to the gamestop, he was no longer there. Items: iPhone, Charger, 1 bottle of water, bicycle, 4 complete outfits, 2 boxes of breakfast cereal bars, pen, empty examination pad, school bag and handbag to store everything. Skills: Social butterfly, calligraphy, fast runner, snappy dresser.
The Skype group sounds like a great idea!
Hey there! I'm new here and hope to get plenty roleplaying in with you guys and gals!
