Current Sadly, I'm going to be leaving RoleplayerGuild, possibly for good. roleplayerguild.com/topics/…

A quick introduction of myself and a few associates of mine

For real though, I'm a Brit who dabbles in most genres of roleplay, but tends to go for fantasy and sci-fi in particular. I prefer high casual, but will use a more or less advanced writing style if I like the concept.

No problem, though what is your character's name? I'll be using it in the thread title.

Edit: Are you okay fighting a flying opponent? I want to try out Avacyn. If so then we also need to figure out whether The Archangel or The Purifier would be more suitable (basically, is your character good or evil?).
Which of my characters would you prefer to battle with? Saddaj is the most like what you said (he is like 80% melee), but it'd be easier to make fair if we had your character as well.

Seeing the attack coming at the twins, Cirilyn said "Left!" to her sister, a command which they had by now decided was a quick signal to dodge an attack, to the left of the sister it is said to. Cirilyn therefore dodged to her right, and Nilori her left, attempting to avoid the attack. However, the girl's cloak had partially blinded Nilori, and her dodge was slow, ultimately allowing the man's attack to burn her sister's side. She whispered a quick apology to her sister, and told her they should focus on the man, as he had shown himself to be a bigger threat. Cirilyn agreed, and the pair moved forwards, Cirilyn slashing, before spinning, so Nilori did the same.
@Redglade
I'm willing to spar with you. I've fought in a couple of matches already, and there's a link to my character list in my signature (currently have 3, working on 2 more).

Can someone explain the appeal of Fallout? I've only played New Vegas and 4, but it strikes me as second-rate as both a shooter and an rpg. Games like, for example, the Far Cry series, have better action and shooting, and Elder Scrolls-type (to use another Bethesda series) games beat it as an rpg. I get it's a blend of two genres, it's never going to be the best at either, but I think it could have done both better than it did. Like I said, if I want to play a shooter, I'll play a better shooter, if I want to play an rpg, I'll play a better rpg. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see why Fallout has gotten as much hype as it has.
Acknowledged.

Throwing in interest. If we're playing in 3.5, basically every one of the dozens of rulebooks can be downloaded for free. Don't know what's in the SRD, but I'd guess it's a mix of the core rulebooks and Unearthed Arcana. I'm a little of a supplement librarian personally.

I plan to play an air elemental monk, if you're okay with monster PCs.

-A faerie can say something that is not true if they think it is (i.e. they are wrong).
-A faerie can imply something that is not true, if they do not directly say it.
-Faeries do not have to correct someone if they say something wrong, and they often do so to mislead people.

-In the first example, if he was not aware that the object was green, saying it was red instead would be fine. Whether gestures can count as lying I don't know, though I expect that something as obvious as pointing would. They could say "There is something red near me", if, for example, they wore a red ring.
-In the second example, the meaning of the statement (to the assassin) is that X should be killed. The faerie could say they did not order X's death only if they were saying these were not their exact words.
-In the third example, the first answer would probably not be acceptable, but I think the other two would.

Ultimately there is no rule that will work every time. If you're not sure, ask me, BC or Nallore in a PM before you post. There is the possibility that one of us will ask you to edit a post if we think you have directly lied, but for the most part you should be fine.
