Gwendolyn was born in a small town in New York City, her parents dying in a house fire while she was visiting her aunt. She takes great joy in writing and reading, despite the efforts of her aunt to stop her. She hates dresses, and prefers to wear her cousins vests and trousers.
Gwen is a very stubborn girl, and will do anything to get her point across. She's extremely sarcastic and is a good friend of Alexander as well as the Schuyler sisters and The revolutionary set
She comes from a poor family, but she's always been able to entertain herself.
