Pokemon: Annals of History(Working Title)

The starlit sky cast light down upon a pair of travelers who had stopped for a night, a mere ten miles from their home town of Lumiose. In the hand of one was a small ball with a blue and red lid and white colored bottom. One would talk and the other would listen, only commenting occasionally throughout the night. They had been friends for years, rivals for months, and brothers for all their lives but that wouldn’t change the course of that night which is now well known in all of the regions. It was on this night that one would betray the other in an act of violence and greed.
The great ball which sat in Marcus Lizaire’s hand had contained the origin of all pokemon in existence, Mew. His brother, later found to be step-brother, struck him against the head with a rock which had been sitting by the tree the pair sat under. Luca, as his name was at the time, took the mew for his own. The following years would be silent as no family heard from Luca guessing only that whoever killed Marcus had taken Luca as well. After five years, Luca reappeared with an army of pokemon cloned from Mew’s genome. His goal was to ‘unite’ the six regions and thus began a war against the regions. With his massive hordes of clones behind him, Luca conquered the regions. League competitions quickly became attempts to recruit the strongest people for his elite forces, arming them with stronger clones which had been produced by the many pokemon professors who had been forced into developing better clones. This was how life has been for the past twenty years, at least until recently.
Four months ago an explosion rocked the labs in which Luca’s armies were being produced in Kalos. The attackers were apprehended and quickly dealt with by Luca himself and reports were released that nothing was missing. Yet, at the same time rebels reported having gained possession of twenty-five prototype clones. With the League season beginning again and tensions high, all eyes are focused on the new wave of teens leaving their homes. These teens could change the very future. With the fires of rebellion burning bright and the shadow of the oppressive Luca casting down upon their light, it is up to these new teens to decide the fate of the many. Will you add fuel to the fires or will you make the shadows expand? Perhaps you just wish to do something else all together. This is your story and one which will be written in the annals of history. Write your story carefully for your actions will not be forgotten young ones.

If you’ve come this far it is quite possible that you are interested or just really bored and reading for fun. Either way, thanks for reading through all of that stuff up above. To explain why this isn’t like every other pokemon roleplay out there which likes to play on the idea that you are on an adventure like Ash’s or playing around with the resurgence of Shadow pokemon from Orre we must explain a pokemon theory known as the ‘Poke War’. This theory follows the belief that at some time Kanto had a war which resulted in the disappearance of your character’s and basically everybody else’s fathers due to a war in which they died. This is supported by Lt. Surge saying that electric pokemon saved him during the War and this theory is what I have based this story upon.

The war, instead of having been simply a region versus a region, is in this case a battle against a man who had cracked into Mew’s genome to get a very select few pokemon to clone. His army struck quickly and was treated not as a threat but more just an annoyance until he basically invaded the regions and took control of the leagues. Any who tried to resist him were either taken down by his army of clones of the elite few who joined him and were given the best clones at the time. With Luca positioned as a tyrant over all of the regions and quite a few people hoping to join him over years, resistance quickly started to die out until rebels appeared in Kalos. And that is how we got to the point in the story we are out now. You are one of the teens coming from regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. I’ve made it so that one can have two characters each if you wish allowing for twelve people and one for myself who will simply be there to help progress the story when needed.

Each of the regions can support at least five characters in each of them but do remember that these regions aren’t the same as they were in the anime. Cities have become much darker and more industrial places under Luca’s rule and thugs rule the streets. Many people who support the rebellion have taken to their local forests in order to avoid monitoring from Luca and his men. Anyway, enough of my prattling as this can be done in an OOC. Express interest if there is any and I will answer all asked. Have a good day or night depending where you are.

Anyone interested in setting up a relationship ( platonic or otherwise ) with K?

Though I suppose it would be reasonable for him to still be meeting the various circles, he's somewhat new in town and basically allied himself with the next best thing to a rebel leader...

I'm willing to do as such. Marie would actually probably treat them however they wanted to be treated. Wouldn't be surprised if Marie met Clariel at Huskers during one of her many binges which happened after her Father died from cancer.

At one point today I remember this thread having around 240 posts, now it is in the three hundreds. Anyway, just got off work after spending seven hours at school. I have no idea what I'm going to do with Marie at this point. As my co-workers would say, she is a unicorn. Marie is the only transsexual here and I'm sort of hesitant to really establish any sort of pairing to develop later on. She also happens to be seemingly one of the few people to be without a roommate. Then again, once I actually am not dead tired I'll probably see about writing another character. Possibly a male human living with Marie. I don't really know yet.
