I sorta like the sound of these but I've not been in an easy-to-work-with rush recently and will need schedule committing tweaks, but I'll just work it out and drop you a PM if my itch gets the better of me then leave it to you. Background

(A/N: Truth be told? It's been a while since I've RP'd and I don't know if a TTGL RP has been done before already in a similar way (probably has), but I want to lay a foundation here for something that will endure for the next month and even year. The long-term plan is to create an expanded canon (a persistent world) built on existing TTGL lore; a comprehensive RP setting fit for any type of adventure, genre, and story, inspired by the profound starting block placed by Gainax. Because I'm a lazy potato, I can use an extra hand. If you are interested in being a co-GM (or even just helping with the world-building and RP setup and all da crud), lemme know..!! You might have your work cut out for you, though..!! Seriously..!

+ The prime goal is to get a team together to help construct the world and manage the RP project with me at some point. Ideally, this would be organized as early as possible but that's up to who's willing to jump at the undertaking in the first place. Once again, if you're interested hit me up!

P.S. My knowledge of TTGL lore isn't all that comprehensive either, so anyone with a better handling on it and on specific aspects of the story would be great to have indeed.

The RP:

It's going to focus a lot more on other aspects of the world of TTGL, particularly the people and society, the complications that come with it -- in other words, the stuff under the surface of the actual show. Mechas will be present and whatnot, but the big robot battles-for-the-universe stuff probably won't be so prevalent in the beginning chapters..!! Also, because of the progress made in the world, they will not be as ubiquitous, so we will be seeing the development of humanity/other organisms independent from the mechas for a good chunk of the story.

"So what should I expect?"

A potential genre soup: sci-fi slice-of-life mystery dramedy action adventure thriller post-apocalyptic horror fantasy space opera musical to come.
In other words, Star Wars + Star Trek + Gundam + Dragon Ball + One Piece + TTGL + everything else = THIS!! basically.

At least, that is the plan. Executing this plan, well, that's where we come in.

The Plan:

- Prologue + three main ACTS = "Caelestis Bottomfeeders Endless Blast!" (aka this RP); EVERYTHING altogether (the entire project itself, including possible future RPs and installments) = the "Caelestis Saga". 'Member what I said about being a genre soup? Well, since this will be sliced up into separate parts it may evoke 'em separately, rather than all at once. Though how that'll play out in the end will come to light much later.

- A new and bigger world! Or, kind of and not really, just expanded and close-up. The RP will take place after TTGL's last episode and epilogue and will include the existence of other cities, civilizations, infrastructure, typical societal life, etc. assembled in a more active role.

- Next step is starting a wiki for this -- mayormaynotgetonthatwheneverbleheghbutdutycallstheballsandstuff. *cough* But another hour, another day. In the meantime, here is where the RP begins.

the first chapter in the post-Gurren saga,

THE PROLOGUE

60 years has passed since the heroes of the Spirals, the Gurren Brigade of Earth, proved victorious over the Anti-Spirals and liberated themselves from the subjugation of their race in a grand effort of such daring impossibility it shook the heavens themselves. Known today as the Spiral Triumph, it was the most decisive event in recent universal history.

The results of which cannot be understated, this ushered in a new age of life, reconstruction, and prosperity in many galaxies the universe over. The Spirals have re-acquired their dominance in the world, and with it their freedom.

But with this freedom, and the seemingly endless multitude of life that stretches across both planet and star, comes complications of equal caliber. From the trivial curfew breakers in the corner of Wooltide to the talks of war between naval military forces to inter-planetary smugglers, and yes, even the hair-pulling, guitar-breaking efforts of an aspiring garage band in the middle of Imogen Town, Teal Region, Earth, order and chaos have climbed the same ladder and over the years new seeds have been sown into an old and ancient soil; that of inner conflict, corruption, and conspiracy.

And yet, somehow, there is still a will to infinity which guides them -- one, as ever, that may come at any cost.

So, the story begins: in an unsuspecting hovel, where a flimsy band of dreamers seek to strike it rich with three chords and insensible lyrics.

What awaits these children of heaven, in both the distant and imminent future, now when they have all of it still ahead of them?

Notes

This Prologue will be semi-slice-of-life. Combat and all that won't be as major a focus but may play a part later on.

Basically it starts off as an invitation to some totally rad, completely unprofessional rock concert held in a garage by Evian and Tic-Tack, two characters I will be penning, and which your character(s) will most likely already be acquainted and friends with. You will be asleep as Tic-Tack wakes you smack in the morning -- it's just what she does.

Imogen Town, Teal Region, Earth will be the introduction to the new world in place here post-Spiral Triumph. I will provide more details in the official OOC (I'm still polishing up myself), but if you have any immediate questions ask away..! I'll try my half-best to answer 'em. (It's basically a present-day level town, in terms of aesthetic and technology, but with a definite edge ahead. Homes are sleeker, wheel-based cars are used but exist in a variety of different technological conditions, living arrangements are built in with high-tech QOL-improving gadgets [feel free to make 'em up] but all alongside normal day-to-day stuff like wooden chairs, etc., reflective of the sci-fi setting.)

Bottomfeeder

This refers to a 'pejorative' used by higher-minded people in a nearby city.
We are the bottomfeeders, who will soon be embroiled in a fight beyond just a title.
