Not sure where people went, there was a fair amount of interest that apparently did not make it across the change to OOC. I'll give it a day or so to wait for sheets to start getting posted, if not, I'll write up an example to show you.
I don't think so. Thomas is just going to keep to himself until we set out, maybe talk to Hector at some point soon
you're my kind of person, Zombie.
Go for it! A diplomat would be a really cool addition to the game, especially if he/she is some balls-to-the-wall manipulator. HOWEVER: My warning to the players who do not choose military roles is that the game will be focused on a military situation, so be prepared to be creative or have the chance of getting sidelined. This will hopefully be remedied by my GMing and the other players working to give everyone a chance in the spotlight, and the way the fleet will be led will give everyone a voice, but just be aware.
Alien contact has not yet occurred, but I can say that aliens will feature prominently in the plot for the game.
No worries - I whipped up this setting pretty quickly, so there may very well be some stupid shit left in there. I am that asshole who asks a billion questions about a setting, so feel free to ask me anything: I love seeing curious people and improving my setting
The prosthetic scene is there, but biological. Cybernetic implants are HUGELY stigmatized due to the near-apocalyptic AI war, so most people that lose bits of body get new limbs or organs cloned, with a fairly high success rate. Brain damage is still highly deadly, as neuroscience has not progressed as much as people had hoped, but other than that medical science is equipped to fix tissue loss or failure.
