Civilization Name: Xythae
Species Name: N/A (A collective of various animalistic humanoids under one nation)
Member of the Galactic Conclave?: [YES]
Name of Galactic Conclave Representative:
Archmage Ryteb, Seventy-Seventh Level Master of the Flame (Fox Humanoid, Male)
Basic Description of Civilization:
The Xythae are a meritocracy, being run by the College of Arkain. The College is divided between 5 factions named after the five elements of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Lightning. Among the factions the rule of Droit de Mortis is a common way to attain positions of power. The leader of each faction is known as an Archmage, mostly because they are insanely hard for their underlings to kill. Though assassination is a regular occurrence, previous generations have established set rules for this which have penalties of demotion for breaking.
A playfully macabre collective, they prefer the intellectual stimulation of politics to that of war, joining the Galactic Conclave as soon as it reached out.Though sorely lacking in military, their technological advancement is second to none... especially in the art of assassination. Word to the wise, best not to drink anything they offer you.
Very interested. I've got an idea in mind for a swordless swordsman.
I kneel before no man. Your empire shall crumble beneath your arrogance as the true owners of this galaxy reclaim it from your corrupt hands!
Death to the false Emperor! So says Xythaen, God Emperor of the Xythae!
In a flash, Hunter was behind the man who challenged Deadeye, with a knife pointed at his jugular. The bloodlust in his eyes was almost physical, and his face was locked into a visceral snarl.
"Try anything, and I'll gut ye like a pig." He growled, "I'm feeling a wee bit testy at the moment, and don't particularly like snot-nosed brats messing with me crew. Now either help out or crawl back to the shitheap ye came from, just try not to make things more difficult for us."
With strength unbecoming of a human, possibly due to an insane amount of adrenaline, Hunter kicked at the guys back. He then dusted himself off, and walked after Anna. He twirled his dagger in hand, ready to gut anyone who wasn't an ally. Those marines earlier has only made his appetite for death hunger, like a starter before the main course. And the Crimson Demon did love a good feast...
The Empire believed the Daenizens were made docile after they established a puppet Emperor under their control. If one knew little of the Daenizen culture, it would be unfair to judge them for thinking so due to the hierarchical nature of their society. But there was a reason an Emperor hadn't been chosen in 500 years. Daenizens are a race of honour, with their society being based around Glory rather than capital or breeding. And as the centuries went on, the Empire backed Ohmni family began to slowly lose control, as they preferred to indulge themselves rather than prove their worth.

Roughly fifty years after Empire dominance, a movement had started among the dissatisfied Daenizens. Known as the Children of Xythae, they predicted the return of Xythaen, who would free them from the chains of the Empire and the traitors. At first it didn't seem like much, a few groups of peasants revolting here, shipments disappearing there, but these were just distractions. The real battle lay in the political realm, where power was slowly being stolen from the pro-Empire faction. As the third century of Empire Rule came to a close, the Daenizens were all but ready to make a move. All they required was for the second coming of their God Emperor.

When a guard capitan by the name of Zane Alkeim led a rebellion against one of the last Pro-Empire Kings, it was the true start of the rebellion. Called the second coming of Xythaen, his charisma and battle prowess led the rebels to take over Embla. On the steps of the Grand Palace, he gave his first speech.

"My fellow Daenizens, I will be brief. We have ousted the traitors from our midst, but this is only the start of our battles. Though the Empire has been blinded to our actions, the results of our war will soon reach them. But what strangers are we, the Daenizens, to war? And Draconi, are you cowards who shirk from a fight? No! We are the Xythae Empire! We have lost much, but that just means we have to take it back with interest!!!"

A resounding roar echoed across the plaza, as the sleeping dragon of the Xythae awoke once more to bare it's viscous fangs.
Looks like a good ally for the Xythae. You have manpower, we have tech.
Life hath been sapping my will to do stuff. I have a basic idea of an opening paragraph, but am waiting for others to post (read procrastinating). Minor Spoiler, it involves heads on spikes.
Hunter sheathed his pistols, reluctantly agreeing with the girl. He followed her, still soaked in blood. Stopping by the marines corpse, he grabbed the man's pistol and placed it in his free holster. Again he rubbed his hand through his hair, the blood clumping parts together to look akin to demon horns.
Picking up a sword from another dead guard, he began using it as a cane. Clink, Clink, Clink, the sound went, as he walked after the marine girl.
In the low light inside the prison, he now looked more demon than man. The shadows added to sharpening his more sinister features, and the smell of freshly spilled blood seemed to envelope the air around him. Stepping forward, he gave an overtly polite bow to his captain. His new weapon was hungering for some new blood.
"And who might ye be, walking along with the cap'n?" Hunter casually asked, wiping his blade on his coat which seemed to give it a red sheen.
