I know, sorry, that was meant to be sarcastic. Let me edit that to make it clearer @Monochromatic Rainbow
Naia had watched the exchanges between Nivaar and the orc and had seen the insect man up close from her hiding place in the shadows. She scoffed at the bug's strange appearance then quickly made her way back to her tent to gather the small amount of supplies she needed. Naia was never without her dagger, even in the camp, and most of the time she never needed much more than that, especially if Sonya was on her team. Naia wasn't a friend of Sonya but she respected the tiefling's skills and her willingness to follow orders. She chuckled at her own sarcasm and put her pack on her back. As Naia walked slowly to the meeting place, she nodded at a few people who recognized her and smiled evilly at a human who had picked a fight with her a few days previously and lost.

Finally and begrudgingly Naia stood before the group that had gathered and rolled her eyes at them. She nodded curtly at the orc who had been assigned to be her leader and said in an impatient voice:

"Are we going to the city or not?"
I tried not to god mode Mairead, so just fyi, she is pretty hurt and is probably going to sleep for a good four hours before she's functional again. Using the vines twice like that in such a short period of time means that she is exhausted and probably won't use them again today. If it seems god modey I'll try and fix it but that was the best I could do with her powers. @Spriggs27
Mairead smiled evilly when Izumi picked her up, she had been waiting for just that. In the split second before Izumi's body slam the glow from Mairead's hand intensified until it was almost too bright to look at and vines burst through the window and wrapped around Izumi's ankles and legs, stopping her fall and throwing her off balance enough for Mairead to elbow her in the face and escape her grip. Mairead laughed as Izumi began punching her and clawing at the vines to get free, and only laughed harder when a punch made contact with her face.

The glow from Mairead's hand grew more intense as the vines began climbing Izumi's body, locking her legs and then her arms as she struggled to get free. With a smirk Mairead punched Izumi in the face repeatedly as her left hand began glowing red. By this point Mairead's eyes were black as she kicked Izumi over and willed the thorns to grow. As Izumi was falling she tripped Mairead and Mairead fell hard on the floor, her concentration was almost all in the vines. With a growl, Mairead stood up and put her foot on Izumi's chest as the vines wrapped around the prone girl's neck and head.

"All I gotta do is squeeze, Izumi. Her voice was cold and hard, and the glow from her left hand got a little brighter as the thorns dug into Izumi. She willed the plants to constrict the struggling girl more and more and the thorns to get longer until Izumi had almost blacked out. With a snap, Mairead's hands stopped glowing and she kicked Izumi's face until she was sure Izumi was unconscious and would stay that way for a while.

Mairead laughed and slid her daggers back in their hiding places before she wiped the blood from her mouth and the back of her head. She staggered for a second and had to lean against the wall but as she tried to catch her breath, she laughed again at Izumi and spoke in a much more lighthearted voice.

"Well, Izumi, ye did a good job this year. But never forget to watch my hands. And jus' so ye know, I didn't kill her cause that woulda made the year so much less fun." Mairead turned to a nearby camera and winked as she gave a two finger salute. With a deep breath Mairead turned and walked slowly to the corner dorm room, that's the one with the best view.
Naia pursed her lips and eyed the orc suspiciously. She let out a disdainful huff and turned to leave the tent, keeping an eye on her would-be leader. She knew that orcs and drow were on mostly the same playing field as far as fighting skill and raw power, but she also knew not to say anything in front of Blim or risk her rank as a Dweller. As Naia walked out of the tent she casually put her fingers in the pocket where she had put the medallion to make sure it was still there. She was the first one to leave so as usual, she hid in the shadows by the exit to watch who would leave next.

Blim's comment about an insect man echoed in her mind and Naia raised an eyebrow. She had heard about the sentient bug tribes that wandered the sands but she had never seen one in person. She made a mental note to keep a close eye on the recruit as well as watching the orc as the first person left the tent.
Lol okay
Awesome! Do you want us to make CSs on here?
Oh yeah I forgot about her :P
Woo! I got a third year buddy now!
Mairead raised her eyebrow at the hooded boy and crossed her arms with a smirk when she saw his arrow. She looked him over and quickly did a few calculations with his height and weight to make sure she could beat him if it came to that. She chuckled once at his demand and put a palm up.

"Friend or foe? There's a hard question ta answer in this school. Most of the time, we jus' start with names. Her eyes grew hard, like petrified wood, and her voice got a little colder "They call me the Rose's Thorn. Ye must be a firs' year, am I right?"

Mairead's ears pricked up at a whooshing sound behind her and in an instant she pivoted out of the way and pulled out her concealed daggers, the fire extinguisher barely scraping her left arm. She laughed when she saw Izumi and got into a offensive stance.

"Looks like the ol' Head Director's got another one on me. Hey, Izumi, ya remember last year?" A devious smile crossed Mairead's face and she rushed at Izumi with her Celtic daggers raised and an almost imperceptible glow coming from her right hand.
