I'm sorry... I can't keep going like this. I need solidity. Figure out what you want and why... and then talk to me. I will always love you. And yes. even she knows that.

I'm not asking you to forgive me. I'll never understand or forgive myself. And if I die, so help me, I'll laugh at myself for being an idiot. There's one thing I do know and that is that I love you.

I will try to get something up this weekend.
@Mokley You can totally have him lol I just needed a reason for Gunther to start... questioning things. Whats better than a creepy mystery man that knows more about your character than they do?
Sorry mine took so long. Things got thingy. And I didn't see a progression post so I finished it up today fast as I could.

Gunther Borgadais

Location: The Moose Lodge, Uptown.

"Hey you take care now. And tell your new girl that she needs to come see me. It's been a while." Gunther took the empty pint from the freshly polished oak bar. And with the pint he scooped up the generous tip that the well-dressed gentleman he had been speaking to had left behind for him, with a wide-white smile and a tip of his hat as he left the bar with a bit of a stumble to his step. "Oh! And I'll tell the Mrs. I never saw you today, shall I?" A couple of the nearby patrons; regulars, chuckled lowly with Gunther. Gunther polished off the bar where the tip and empty glass had been, checked on his customers, and then headed to the end of the bar where a man he couldn't ever remember seeing approached.

"Afternoon sir! What can I conjure up for you?" Gunther asked, a bit of a pep in his step riding off the temporary high from his last big tipper. Maybe he'd finally buy into that brewer's course on how to make his own beer...

"Whatever you suggest, son. But I'm more interested in what I can do for you."

Gunther furrowed an eyebrow, confused.

"I'm not sure I'm following."

"Nor would you. Not like your old ma sat you down and explained this all to you."

Gunther's body reacted almost hastily at the mention of his mother, but before he even had a chance to get huffy puffy over it, the older man continued, putting his hand up to keep Gunther silent.

"If you've got a moment later, I suggest taking a look at this here flier. It might hold some answers to questions you didn't even know you had, kid." The older man reached into the lapel of his suit jacket and laid down a piece of paper down on the bar, the blank side facing up.

"Alright, I don't have time for any weirdos today. I'm going to ask you politely, just the once, to leave." Gunther threatened, more irate than before but also just questioning if this guy was just a well-dressed homeless man. It was also pretty likely he was just another rich fucker, but hopped up on something a bit stronger than alcohol.

"And you'll only have to ask me the once. I'll take my leave, kid. Just don't give up so easily." The older man adjusted his hat, tapped the face-down piece of paper and made his exit. Gunther's eyes never left the man until he was completely out of sight near the entrance of the building.

"Fucking crack-pot." Gunther seethed and snatched up the flier, crumpling it up in the process.

Howls, huh? He'd heard the term before, sure. But just like a lot of everything around here, there was a lot more fantasy to that notion than reality. And that guy... why would he even be trying to help him if there was anything to it? And just like that, Gunther realized that the man had been right. Because now Gunther certainly had more questions that he didn't know existed until just now.
I am working on a 0 post myself... should have it done some time tomorrow.
@Mokley Correct, he doesn't know he's a Howl yet but has some suspicions as of late because of how much more frequently he's seeing things and feels a heat in his hands that's not really there. The power that he'll develop is being able to identify the Rue as well as use an arcanic fire ability that can't be seen on this plane, but absolutely tears through them in theirs, if that makes sense.

I figured the little sister (only a year younger than him) to be just more background information. Though if she works for some kind of plot I'm okay with you using her. I just wasn't planning on it.

As for their mother, I had it in my head that she was killed by the Rue - she was a Howl and a damn good one but just wasn't quick or prepared enough one day. Maybe for whatever reason the government is trying to hide the real reason? Or maybe they don't make Rue deaths super public to prevent fear?

WHAT IS THE CHARACTER'S NAME?

Gunther Borgadais

WHAT IS A STRANGER'S FIRST IMPRESSION UPON MEETING THEM?

Gunther is fairly tall standing at 6'2" and has a fair amount of muscle on him, not qualifying as scrawny by any means though definitely far from shredded. The way he walks is reflected by his mood; light and carefree when happy with a bit of a bounce in his step, shoulders hunched and eyes forward when focused or moody. He can come off as the most sincere, teddy bear of a guy. But on the other spectrum he can come across as whiny, conceited and a little immature, depending on the situation. He has a healed scar over his left eyebrow that also makes his overall a bit more seasoned, if a bit more scrappy.

WHAT IS THEIR PROFESSION AND HOW DO THEY FEEL ABOUT IT?

Gunther is an experienced bartender, working in the same bar that gave him a kitchen job when he was just fifteen in a richer part of town with mostly esteemed clientele. He knows the area and the regulars quite well which makes him the perfect fit for his job, but watching the comings and goings of real people talking about their rich, extraordinary lives has become a little stale. He is realizing that there is so much out of life that he's missing out on, and feels that he could be doing something so much more with his own life. Something... a lot more helpful than just pouring drinks and eavesdropping on rich people secrets.

HOW HAS (NOT) BEING A HOWL AFFECTED THEIR LIFE?

Since Gunther's mother was killed a few years back (investigation still pending), Gunther is starting to feel bored with his job and feels that he could be of so much more use doing something else...

WHY ARE THEY IN OAKEN CITY?

Gunther was born and raised in Oak city with his younger sister, Ky' vie. They never knew their father.

DO THEY HAVE A HOWL ABILITY? WHAT IS IT?

Gunther has only seen glimpses of the Rue, here and there but couldn't exactly tell you what one looks like. But he's sure he's seen them. And since he found out about the death of his mother, Gunther's hands seem to grow warm, much warmer like normal; feverish. He's not sure what that's all about, though...
Definitely interested. I'll try to have a cs up soonish.
@Fading Memory Hey no worries. I myself was going through some stuff and Blitz has seemed to have disappeared but should be back shortly. We are almost finished with our collab.
