1 of potentially 3 pony characters I will consider working on. Will likely stick to just the 2 but who knows. May make adjustments to the character, especially if requests/suggestions are given.

Name: Silver Lining

Race: Pegasus
Age: 33
Appearance: A pegasus of impressive stature. Not as large as the tallest earth ponies but far larger and brawnier than your average pegasus and earth ponies. His coat is a dark grey almost like steel, his main and tail are both bright red and cut military short. A few old scars adorn his fore-legs as well as a significantly long one along the front of his chest. His Cutie mark is a Black cloud, though when the right light catches it just right a shining silver outline in visible. As his name and cutie mark suggests one of his greatest strengths is finding the good from bad.

History: Born to the busy city of Las Pegasus, it wasn't an easy place to grow up in. The streets could be rough and the skies could be even more so. It was even harder for a young pony and his sickly mother. Shortly after getting out of basic schooling he began working to help support him and his mother. He found a place part-time weather squad as his strong wings made him a useful element to the team. Given his natural size and considerable strength he even took up a verity of odd jobs among nearby earth pony communities. His strength also got him less than savory jobs. Medical bills are never easy and some underhoffed ponys always need some extra muscle around. From being a goon to even underground prize fighting, Silver earned something of a reputation. He was never pleased or proud of these roles but H\he was nothing if not loyal to his mother, even if he had to dirty his name and take care for her not to find out to keep her in good health. 

Eventually He got caught in over his head and red hoofed. He had to serve time, but given one of the chief guards that arrested him and worked the case was a old friend of his departed father he got off with a very light sentence. This was the end of his illegal activities as it nearly cost him his future and the respect of his mother. 

But, as he learned very early in his life, good can come from bad. The rekindling of the connection between his mother and pony that had once been a close friend of his father ended up opening up some new paths for him he hadn't considered. With that colts help he was able to support his mom long enough till he was old enough to enlisted in the Royal Guard with a helpful recommendation of course given his less than clean record. Strong and dedicated ponies always had a place among their ranks, and the Royal Guards have never had a single reason to regret Accepting Silver Lining. The benefits of working among the royal guard also made it far easier to provide the support his mother needed. He took to learning navigation and furthering his combat skills as exploration was something he was keenly interested in, especially that of exploring outside the bounds of their sky. He made the rank Captain, and has done a few short tours in space.

Notable Equipment: Silver Lining's primary defensive and offensive equipment is a special set of Pegusus armor called the "Cerberus Mail". It has many of the standard of the equstrian military armor; A mana-gun mounted over his left shoulder, and an Ether shield that can protect from magical and physical attacks; But these are both weaker on this armors standard form than they are on other royal armors. This is due to the majority of this armors power being focused on the generation of weather clouds. The enchantments and tech than make this armor possible have actually existed since these predating Princess Twilight's ascension; a rudimentary and weaker version was used on the Wonderbolts uniforms for decades. Hence the trail of clouds that followed in their wake during performances. While those clods were inert of weather and dissipated in a few seconds the Cerberus Mail produces 3 small but very potent clouds. One cloud produces lighting, one produces rain and ice, the last produces winds. The three pronged attack nature giving the weaponised armor its name. 

while they can be left in place they, unless made to do so by the user they will hover close to and follow the user and require impute from pegasus to really activated; weaker input can be given remotely from the armor, but for truly powerful attack direct interaction must be made. This is a difficult armor to master and can only be used by powerful weather manipulators and strong fliers. Silver still considers himself mediocre at best.
