“Yes yes I know he’s great and amazing and helps anyone in whatever way he can but we really need to go!” Lexi said in an argumentative tone. Oh she could feel the lecture now, ‘why did you go there you knew it was dangerous?’, ‘how come you let him talk you into it?’, ‘Didn’t you try to talk him out of it?’. Oh the questions that would come as Peter wagged his finger in disappointment at her. Groaning she gave Harry another hard pull, barely getting the much larger version of her friend to stumble as he stared back at the stadium. The thud behind them made her jump as well as she turned around, wide eyed to see Spider-Man on the hood of the car. A large smile curled over her full lips as she and Harry waved good bye to him as he shot off. She then turned back to Harry and gave him another pull. “Spider-Man or not, you didn’t give me time to even eat my lunch, for that you owe me a trip to McDonald’s. No but’s now start driving!” Harry tried to argue but the look on Lexi’s face said he wasn’t going to win and he just groaned and climbed into the driver’s seat waiting for her to get buckled in before they took off. McDonald’s wasn’t busy but Harry’s radio was exploding about Spider-Man and Harry was no different. The ‘did you see this’, ‘did you see that’, ‘can you believe he did this’, ‘wasn’t it shocking when he did that’ was just as bad as the people on the radio and all Lexi could do was laugh as he freaked out and nod in agreement. Harry insistented on buying her a lunch and even got something for Peter, per Lexi’s insistence saying that the boy was a bottomless pit and if they didn’t get him something he’d eat all of her fries. While that was true, it also came up for two more reasons. One being that he was probably hungry after everything he just did and two being that she could present it as some form of ‘I’m so sorry!’ gift and hopefully his lecture wouldn’t be too bad. Pulling out her phone, she texted Peter upon their arrival back at campus. Hey we’re back, meet you back at the tree we were under. Gotcha something. Xoxo. With that clicked her iPhone into the lock screen and slid it back into her purse as she walked with the bag of food and two sodas in her hands back towards the sitting area behind the school where they had been before.
