Name: Haruto “Haru” Tsukino Age: 18 Grade (9-12): 12 Disability: A wide variety of Agnosia (hearing, sight, and touch related), by most standards, he is both legally blind and deaf Personality: Day-dreamy or otherwise seemingly oblivious to a lot of things, places, people, and time itself…sometimes. He is serious about not mistaking other people for other-other people…and usually doesn’t refer to them by name (if he remembers the name) to avoid this, or otherwise has to make difficult or vague associations in order to identify an ‘individual’. Despite this, he tries to remain optimistic, since he can still use his sense of smell and taste properly. He seems clumsy, bumping into the ends of a few things here or there that he fails to visually recognise as harder than his own body...and sometimes, he seems insensitive or even psychotic, since he can't recognise facial or visual cues/expressions/emotions too well anymore to know the exact differences between sadness and joy, not immediately anyways. His occasional lapses in the sensation of pain (very occasional), usually lead him to getting hospitalization when the injuries worsen...so he has to be cautious about injuries, having others check on them for him...this sort of dependence on others annoys him somewhat, but he is often grateful for the help and the company. Background: Actually, there isn’t much to say about Haru. He was raised in a normal household with one younger sister, two loving parents, his grandparents just a city away…his condition actually popped up after a small fall and head injury at age 8 on the second step of a staircase, but the signs of the condition were too slow to appear before actual discovery and treatment. By the time he was fourteen, he lost the ability to recognise people by face, by voice, even a simple everyday object like a table he can’t entirely differentiate from a book…it made it harder for his family to take care of him, and stay close. Not wanting to be a burden, though he couldn’t recognise it on their faces…he could feel the disappointment, exhaustion, and other things coming from them…and decided to head off and stay at a certain academy/institute he had read snips and bits about in various articles in passing and in interest. Other Info: His sight, hearing and touch are usually unreliable due to having difficulty recognising a lot/specifics…so he may lean more on his other senses as cues, and be slower with most observations. As such, upon closer proximity/inspection…his clothing, and most objects he owns are heavily scented for easier identification, or may have a specific colour theme to them for less difficult identification.
