Charlie was taken aback by the girl's appearance, he'd never heard of a demigod who had wings and he wondered what was the cause of Tabitha's wings. 

"why do you have wings? I didn't know that any demigods had them" he asked her.

Albert nodded and didn't listen to Charlie's question, right now he was focus on trying to decide whether to bathe the shadows in light or pull Ian away from them with a construct. He decided that pulling him away from the shadows was a better course of action, and concentrated on making a construct. Albert created a large glowing hand made of solid light, and made the hand pick up the demigod and try to pull him away from the shadows on the ground. Albert hoped that separating Ian from the shadows wouldn't cause more harm.
