If anything, it has dine nothing but add. It's added to the ability to vent, it's added to the ability to cooperate, and that latter sacrifice of the old ways have honestly lead to some vastly superior stories, and even extra realism. It also adds more emotion for me because the OOC and IC are two completely different universes in my mind. I see OOC as my conversation with fellow spectators in a movie theater, and the IC as the movie, for example.
