Lily - Trying Not To Lose Her Head “Okay Lily...Is there anyway to counteract it, to stop the pain and prevent you from getting weaker?” The boy asked her, worry evident in his features. He was calm yet she could tell in his eyes that he was anxious to do something. She smiled at him, a warm smile, meant to make him feel better. "Not that I know of. I'm a tough old girl, I can handle it, I think." She explained to him. She watched him for a few moments as he thought about her next question. Worry seeped into her bones. What if he didn't believe her? “Yes...I believe you” He told her finally, sending her a reassuring smile. She swallowed and took in a deep breath, relived. She looked up at him with a wide smile. "I'm so glad." She told him, already feeling better. She ignored whatever pain she felt, she waves of pain coursing through her head, the feeling of her energy being drained. She wouldn't be much use in a few minutes. She listened to him ask questions and offer suggestions and different scenarios went through her mind. She needed to find someone official... but everyone needed to get to somewhere safe at the same time... "I'm not sure if leaving the building will do much good... but if you could gather everyone you can and tell them something is coming and we need to be prepared. They may not believe you but, it's all we can do. Try to get them to get ready, brace themselves, prepare to protect themselves. I'm going to try and see if I can find the principal or something." She explained to the boy. She put her hand on his arm and smiled up at him. "I believe in you." She said simply, smiling warmly at him. With that, she was off, flying down the hallways and up the stairs, trying to find the Principal or the VP. She could feel several different energies and tried to go for the stronger ones. She blinked as she felt a new energy appear in side the academy, one of the strongest she'd felt so far. She bolted up towards it, trying to get there as fast as she could. She darted up the stairs and found herself on a balcony staring at a woman with short white hair. She held herself tall and was watching Lily. She wore a grey suit that fit her nicely. Without another thought, Lily darted over to her and began to explain. _ When she was done, Maria simply nodded, a small smile on her face. "We've known about this for quiet sometime. If things get out of hand, I'm here to step in. Until then..." She began, walking over to Lily as she trailed off. The next thing Lily knew, she was surrounded by blackness. Maria Cross held the small angel in her arms after hitting her on a pressure point. Gently, she placed her on a chair on the balcony, near Brako. She walked back to the edge of the balcony and with narrow eyes, she watched the edge of the school, eying the surroundings. She knew they were coming. She knew very well that Lucifer was breaking their treaty and that their establishment had already been infiltrated. She knew Bael and her eyes darted over to him as he sat on the roof. She didn't think of him as a threat, but as a student she needed to protect. But should he decide to take action, she would detain him... Like this, she stood, leaning against the edge of the balcony with her arms resting on the bars. She watched, just watched, waiting to see what would unfold. Brako, himself, sat in the darkness behind her, waiting to hear whatever order she would give to him. He'd long since forgotten about the Dragon boy. He'd get to him later but for now, he had more pressing matters. He held a book in his hands, reading calmly, the only thing that would calm his nerves. He wasn't particularly worried, but he was afraid of what would happen to the kids. He knew Maria wanted to use this as a test for them, to see how well they could handle themselves and they stood in the background ready to jump in should things get out of hand. But... when was that? He sighed. He trusted her to make the right decision. She usually did.
