Lovelock Age 25 Gender Male Species/Race Human Powers [*]Extraordinarily Awesome Robot (E.A.R.) - Nikola has a particularly advanced, cybernetic limb that is mounted on his shoulder. It seems to have a mind of its own, and can mess around with its owner from time-to-time. The arm can replace regular tools by morphing into such utensils, ranging from pencils to umbrellas. It can also gain access to weaponry whenever Nikola desires offensive and defensive utilities.[/*] [*]Staff of Omni-Power - Nikola has several gadgets loaded into his staff, their uses varying greatly from each other. The staff itself does not exactly require extra energy, but Nikola can freely add in extra horsepower to the staff's functions. The more types of enemies he faces, the more kinds of gadgets he will be able to add into this utensil. However, he tends to study intensely in order to perfect a balanced, fully-functioning gadget for the staff, so upgrades take some time to be completed. Some of Nikola's gadgets can be influenced by others.[/*]
The current gadgets he has in the staff range in the following order of completion: orb of light, seismic detector, copper knife attachment
[*]Firearms - Nikola can use firearms quite efficiently. While he is not the most expert marksman around, he can prove to be a force that should be dealt with as soon as possible once he starts using heavy weapons such as rocket launchers and grenade launchers. The weapons he tends to use to simply knock out targets, however, are not that lethal, and its ammunition would only hurt as if they were BB bullets. Nikola tends to bring around either two light weapons, or simply one light weapon and one heavy weapon. The more weapons he carries, the slower he can get.[/*] [*]Technological Genius - Nikola, despite his strange antics and, oftentimes, his somewhat dull common sense, is an extremely intelligent individual. Outsmarting nearly every man who was considered to be the smartest of all, he can think of many different ways to achieve a single goal. He also knows his limits, though he sometimes chooses to be arrogant to simply make himself less noticeable. He desires to break his own limits and expand the possibilities for certain fields of technology related to his knowledge.[/*] [*]Cursed Locket - Nikola has a delicate, small locket that holds many secrets within it. There are seven locks that could reveal seven different parts of the locket, and the first two had been opened by himself. These locks cannot be opened by normal means, meaning that forcing it open will not work. The first two opened locks seems to grant him the ability to hear the voices of spirits, as well as a faster thinking process that heavily compensates for the slow progress he usually makes in his works.[/*] [*]Anti-Magic - Some of Nikola's primary abilities rely on disabling magic spells effectively, mainly to prevent himself from getting ambushed like he had been in his past. He mostly uses the anti-magic creations to disable offensive spell attacks. Nikola cannot disable transformation effects.[/*] Abilities [*]Target Analysis[/*] - Nikola can and usually will analyze anyone he comes across. He will gain information on vague descriptions of their physical body externally. This can only analyze the heights, weights, and masses of his targets, which can be used to his own advantage. [*]Tire Popper - Nikola lets E.A.R. shoot out long charges of crackling electricity to his mechanical hand before firing a long, thin funnel of lightning at a target. This is used as a burst move, and will disintegrate all magic spells in the form of projectiles at where he is aiming the hand. The stronger the attack is, the longer he will need to wait before he can safely use it again (maximum cooldown limit is thirty seconds). This particular move can also be used to push away targets with its blunt force.[/*] [*]TARDIS Prototype - Nikola either spins his staff or gathers energy in his hand, allowing E.A.R. to add in dark matter into the energy he charges up. After a second of gathering energy, the man can warp into any position within a circle that has the diameter of a basketball court's length. Due to its surprisingly cheap cost for energy, as well as its relatively short cooldown, Nikola can use this to either engage or disengage attacks. Nikola can consecutively use this ability two times, a cooldown of forty seconds taking place after the first use of the ability.[/*] [*]Fire Line - Nikola can let E.A.R. fire out short bursts of lasers that deals blunt damage to living targets and utterly melts non-living objects. He can also let E.A.R. become an energy sword that automatically defends and attacks for him. If used as a projectile, there is a cooldown of six seconds when used normally, and a cooldown of thirty seconds when extra power is added into it. The energy sword naturally depletes energy the longer it is used, but can regenerate fairly quickly.[/*] [*]Excavate - Nikola activates the seismic detectors within his staff before striking the earth with it. Magic spells and items making contact with his surroundings will be detected in a diameter of a large football stadium. He will not be able to detect auras and transformation users, and can only cast Excavate every minute and thirty seconds.[/*] [*]Boil - Nikola uses the light orb gadget within his staff, heating it up to its maximum temperature. The next physical strike Nikola manages to deal with the staff will leave a white scar on a target. Nikola's next Fire Line cast at the marked opponent will be unblockable and cause the scar to explode. The scar vanishes after ten seconds, though the burn it leaves remains.[/*] [*]Jetpack - Nikola has a jetpack. He can stay in the air for around five minutes, and cannot go higher than a skyscraper could. The cooldown for this ability reflects upon how much he uses it. Nikola likes to use the jetpack with his firearms.[/*] Overdrives [*]All-Terrain Chaos Initiator - This is surprisingly used as a first attack from Nikola, and can seriously disrupt his target's attack patterns if they are not careful enough. Nikola stabs his staff, E.A.R., and his hands into the ground, sending a jolt of energy to the ground in front of him. In a long-ranged cone in front of Nikola, the ground will randomly be separated into small portions of land, each piece randomly spiking up-and-down as if a small-scale earthquake was occurring. This can technically render physically weak people useless, but it can still be dodged easily due to how the cone glows right before the attack begins. While there is no specific damage this ability deals other than making his targets dizzy or confused for a while, Nikola can use this every two minutes, meaning that he can use it quite frequently for an overdrive ability.[/*] [*]Archon Assimilation - Nikola charges up large amounts of energy and mind power into his hands, empowering his staff, as well as E.A.R., with a tremendous energy boost. He then lifts his staff up, letting the energy shoot toward the skies. After five seconds pass, if the staff has not been moved away from the skies, a small cloud will form in the skies, and thirty large lightning strikes will fall from the skies, each bolt capable of stunning a target for two seconds and dealing a decent amount of damage. This move can easily be countered by simply having a solid object that could withstand blunt attacks, but it will disarm an enemy if five lightning bolts consecutively strike the same object in the storm. The lightning bolts move randomly, and Nikola can simply raise his staff so that he himself cannot be hurt by the lightning, regaining some of the energy he used. This ability can be used every twenty minutes.[/*] [*]Natural Selection - Nikola tunes all of his energy to run at maximum power, empowering E.A.R., his staff, and the rest of his devices. All of his abilities (except for his Overdrives) are modified within a duration of thirty seconds.[/*]
Fire Line will be able to cut through living objects, and has a cooldown of six seconds. Tire Popper will electrocute all living objects that are hit by it for three seconds, and has a static cooldown of five seconds. Excavate will reveal magic within a diameter of an entire city, though it will have a cooldown of one whole hour afterwards. TARDIS Prototype will be able to consecutively warp Nikola six times, and has a cooldown of fifteen seconds. Boil will automatically detonate scars left on targets. There is a three-second delay before the detonation, and Fire Line can still be blocked when the scar is active. Jetpack will allow Nikola to fly as high as he can. The short duration is to allow Nikola to stay in combat, and have a less punishing cooldown time. The cooldown is around five hours.
[*]ZERO-G - Nikola takes out a small, round device. The instant moment he activates it, the device will explode and create a negative sphere around wherever he is. All targets enveloped inside it will have their nerve systems work backwards (ie. attempt to move leg forward, leg moves backward instead). The negative sphere affects Nikola as well, and all projectiles within the negative zone will not move. This means that dangerous weapons such as rocket launchers can be stuck at almost all circumstances. The sphere carries all targets inside it as if there was no gravity inside it. This sphere lasts for thirty seconds, and can be used again if Nikola brings another sphere. All projectiles will be disintegrated once the device deactivates[/*] [*]Here's To Margaret - Unrevealed.[/*] Weaknesses As a man who has engineered most of his lost limbs, he tends to move stiffly at random moments, though he hides this as much as possible. He is also not good against fighters capable of lasting long in battles while dealing powerful attacks, and tries to counter this by having his own methods of sustain as well. Nikola is weak in fighting people younger than him, and usually refuses to actually go as far to killing people he does not know of. While he hates his own humanity, the very humanity he has serves to play a large role in his morality as well, oftentimes making him choose choices that he does not want to make. Nikola does not have the most durable body, and relies heavily on his own gear to stay in the competition in terms of offense and defense. Nikola tends to get quiet around people with red hair, and becomes a little nervous when around them. Personality Nikola, the most recent founder of Lovelock Co., is a stubborn genius who enjoys breaking what are believed to be the limits of technological advancements. He has a passion in inventing things, as well as simply building them. After five years of absolute confinement, however, he seemed to have lost a few screws in his head. Due to a large accident that occurred in his past, Nikola prefers to perform experiments by himself, oftentimes doing so using his own body. He is seemingly arrogant when someone looks down upon him, but ultimately, shrugs it off as time passes. The man enjoys being looked up to by anyone, no matter how young or old they are. Nikola tends to brag about some of the most pointless things one could ever think of. He takes great care of Margaret Clementine, as if she were his family. Due to the fact that she is the only person who he still retained his emotions for, Nikola refuses to toss her aside and does not think that any time spent on helping her is a waste. He tends to get extremely cautious whenever men approach her. He has built robots that look identical to Margaret. They serve as his assistants, replacing the more human ones in his laboratory, where they endlessly work on performing experiments either by themselves, with each other, or with Nikola. Their primary purpose, however, is to ensure that Margaret's regeneration process goes by smoothly. Their different hair colors differentiate between each other, and have simple nicknames made for each of them. These clones remind Nikola of who he is trying to save. As of now, there are three of these clones in total. They act quite similarly to the person they were based off of, except they are not actually real people. Background
Nikola T. Lovelock is the successor of Alfred T. Lovelock, the man who opened the doors to Lovelock Industries. In his childhood, Nikola enjoyed taking everything with different approaches. While most children enjoyed doing this, Nikola actually succeeded in nearly everything he did, no matter how outrageous his methods of learning was. At first, he was seen to be an incredibly lucky fool that needed to grow up. When it turned out that this strange trait of his never faltered, they began to call him a prodigy, instead. He soon found himself becoming not only his school's brightest student, but one of the most gifted humans in the world. His talent belonged to he educational field. Nikola eventually winded up going to a costly high school that demanded intelligence, but he found the place to be actually comfortable to learn in. In his first examination test, he skyrocketed into becoming the school's top students. He was no pushover, that was for certain. The student, however, met a girl that caught his interest. Not romantically, but rather, in an exotic fashion. She, like him, was different, but in a more pleasant way. She was not the smartest person in the school, but the morality she had intrigued him. The woman also seemed to cheer up anyone who seeked emotional condolences. She was the perfect work partner that he needed for his future. Without any hesitation, he latched himself onto her, as if he were a leech that failed to suck blood. Wherever she went, he would usually be there, sometimes even popping out of trash cans. At first, the girl seemed to become insecure about his constant appearances. Thankfully enough for the weird genius, she apparently grew used to it for some reason. They began talking to each other in their second years of high school, and soon enough, they became great friends. Becoming friends with her also intrtoduced Nikola something he never considered: humanity. It felt great to feel human, to feel emotions and express them to others. Through her, he was able to gain a prouder voice, eventually becoming not only noticed by his classmates, but becoming loved by them as well. He came up with strange contraptions that made his school life far more comfortable. He even made a reinforced arm that was able to be controlled with a game controller, which his newfound friends had lots of fun with. Nikola actually wanted to bust the thing up when someone managed to pull off a wedgie on him. He had a surprisingly large amount of friends that went through the same college, and even then, their relationship never faltered. The man was forced to create social communication accounts, such as Facebook, in order to keep up with their constant requests and random questions about him. After his college life, when his father died in a lab experiment gone wrong, and his mother dying due to a severe illness, Nikola became the head of his father's company, Lovelock Industries. His goal, like his family's, was to evolve mankind with inventions that would not hurt, but rather, soothe the wounds already inflicted upon numerous countries. Margaret Clementine, the girl he met in his first year of high school, was the first person he immediately hired. Then, he hired some of his friends. That alone was enough to motivate him. His co-workers would whisper behind his back, taking note of how he always brought someone around with him wherever he went. He would be thinking thoroughly, working efficiently, but much to their relief, would sometimes be laughing his face off at something funny. And most notably, the person that stood next to his side most of the time was Margaret, who brightened up the building Nikola worked in just by her presence. She would grow timid whenever Nikola went out of the building for trips that took longer than a single day, which was practically his home. The employees, without making Nikola notice, playfully teased her to give back the confidence she usually had. They always succeeded, though they did not know how to end up with a result other than a flustered Clementine. Margaret would then jump in joy when Nikola came back, oftentimes having souvenirs during his trip back to the building. She loved getting the action figures Nikola always brought for her, most of them being rare collectables. Nikola was always rewarded with a happy "Thank You" and a big hug. She did want a certain, rare Kamen Rider Red figurine that Nikola was unable to find for the life of him, though she always told him that his kindness was still too much for her to bear without expressing her own emotions. The joy he felt from making others feel secure, the surprise he felt whenever his co-workers prepared a surprise for him... It all made him satisfied enough to realize that he, too, was like everyone else, in the end. One day, everything Nikola knew of died. A mysterious figure had suddenly appeared in the middle of a volatile lab experiment, generating an explosion that destroyed the building's ground support. No one at the top floors survived. Nikola, who was in the middle of doing paperwork, quickly came out of his office with numerous of contraptions to save as many people as he could. With a mechanical arm that had evolved from the one he had in high school, which was now able to synchronize with his mind and move by itself, the inventor dug through cement, steel, and dust. He managed to save over twenty lives by himself, though the time it took to save them prevented him from saving more. In desperation, Nikola searched for more survivors that he was able to save in the building that continued to fall. He felt utterly frightened when he saw Margaret lying down underneath a heavy lab closet. Fire surrounded her. But no fire would stop him, for he simply walked bravely, burning, across the field of pain. He picked Margaret up with his mechanical hand, lifting her up from the burning floor, as he moved back out to save her. But before he was able to save the two, the ground beneath them crumbled, sending Nikola into what he thought would be his plight. But more importantly, he regretted that Margaret- such a pure soul- such a kind woman- would be dragged down with him. Days passed, and in one of those days, Nikola woke up. Much of his body had severe burns, though he could care less about them because a long regeneration process for it would simply revert his body back to normal. Margaret, however, was completely unconscious. She had no pulse. They were stuck underneath a pile of rubble, deep inside a place where no one could save them. Nikola, however, took things with different approaches. Despite the fact that he was unable to walk, and despite the fact that he was about to die, he quickly gathered the remains of his shattered dreams. With the broken fragments of his future, he quickly built a dream not meant for him. He wanted to let Margaret, someone who followed him so dearly and carefully, carry out her own dreams. He owed her his life. He owed everything to her. He also owed her vengeance. Alas, the emotions he thought would keep him humane proved to transform his satisfied heart to a hardened clockwork. For years, he spent his time rebuilding the prototypes of his products that were meant to save lives, replacing them with weapons that could protect him, as well as the vulnerable companion he had left with him. He worked, and worked. Work was all he did for four years. Throughout this time, he began to forget about who he once was, what he strived for, and most importantly, his own humanity. Another year passed after this time. Suddenly, the figure of a human burst out of a small pawn shop that had been built on where his company building once was. The cashier jeered away from the sudden destruction of his shop's ground, his eyes wide in fear and astonishment. Standing in front of him was a man, whose dark hair stuck out of the back of his head. A mask covered his entire face, glowing yellow lights shining out of the sleek eyeholes. He was armored with steel and various kinds of metals. A large, mechanical canister sat behind the stranger. What appeared to be a steel backpack suddenly transformed into a mechanical arm, carrying what appeared to be a US Dollar. The arm gently placed the dollar on the cashier's table. With a menacingly robotic, yet emotion-filled voice, the man commanded the cashier, "Do you... sell action figures here?" "...Y-Y... Yes, yes! I-I do, good sir! Which one would you like, sir?" The inhumane man seemed to eye the action figures that stood in a shelf. He was unable to find that particular figurine... Before the man left, however, the cashier told him to wait for a moment. He dug through the table, searcng for something, before taking out something. And much to the armored man's surprise, a red Kamen Rider that looked identical to the one Margaret wanted, came right out to his face. He stood in silence for a straight minute, almost as if he were thinking to himself. He then took the figure quietly with a gloved hand, his mechanical hand reaching out for his pocket. A single penny had been placed on the cashier's table. When the cashier looked up from the penny given to him, the machine-like person had disappeared. He wondered why this mysterious figure was so much like his last job's boss, Nikola T. Lovelock, the leader of Lovelock Industries, who vanished from the face of the Earth.
---
"She is the embodiment of what little humanity I have left... a treasure that deserves more than what she is..."
Name Margaret Clementine Age 20 Gender Female Species/Race Human(?) Her current personality is what was left of her previous one, and is slowly being healed as Nikola invents more methods to patch her up. Her emotions do not translate well into her actions, and some of her random thoughts are announced once in a while. While she certainly does act like an emotionless robot when left to be idle, she tends to follow around people who look nice, or people she is familiar with. When she does end up following others, Margaret remains quiet, even if they question her as to why she is following them. She is fully aware of both pain and happiness. Margaret usually follows Nikola as much as possible, going even as far as to attempting to follow him into restrooms. Background Unrevealed.....
