Unfortunately for Archangel, her Disintergrator was too badly damaged to be used reliably. She had to settle for a much less impressive Tri-Beam Laser Rifle she took off a fallen Enclave Soldier. The black boxy weapon was much smaller than what she was used to, as well as weighing less. She supposed that the compact shape would be helpful for exploring the lower reaches of the air port, however. As Archangel followed Golem through, she had Ada serve as her eyes outside. The space was already cramp enough with Golem's large frame in the way, no need for them to be hitting Ada in the middle of a firefight. As the two continued on, they found more corpses within. NCR at first, but than a few of the scouts as well. But most of them didn't seem to die from mere bullet wounds; their throats had been slashed, or a knife rammed between the slits of their armor. The work of the Rangers, no doubt. They were slithery opponents now that they had their backs against the wall. A few more wards in and Archangel immediately noticed the landmine. So did Golem, and being the point man he tried to go forward and disarm it for them. But as he moved forward, a dark figure dropped from above. Archangel barely got a glance at it, but she could tell it was a Ranger. She fired her rifle at the shadow, but all three bolts of laser missed, before the figure retreated into the darkness. Sensing that they would be facing the enemy in close quarters, Archangel loaded her gauntlet with a special around; unlike the other explosive rounds that she could fire at range only once, this one was capable of being used multiple times before she needed to load a new round. The range was pathetic, but in close-quarters her enemy would feel as though a grenade just blew up on them. Which is what would happen. And not a moment too soon. Golem shouted for her to get back just as the mine blew up, but she saw moments before it did a frag grenade being thrown towards it. A clever trick, and likely what killed the other scouts. Golem's body absorbed most of the shock and shrapnel. At the same time however, a shadowy figure jumped down from above. Another Ranger, who was going to use the chance to finish the two of them off. But Archangel was just starting. She fired a blast from her rifle at the figure, all three of them hitting his chest armor. It caused him to grunt in pain and flinched, which gave Archangel another chance to fire a blast, this one scorching his face clean off. He died screaming and Archangel activated her VATS. Darkness or not, she could target her enemies no matter what the visibility level was. In VATS she spotted two more figures down the tunnel, one that looked to be a trooper and another ranger. The trooper was setting up another mine while the Ranger had his scope on the two Eagle Claw operatives. Archangel fired four shots; two hit the trooper and killed him. The other hit the ranger, but only on the shin. The last one hit the mine. The explosion kicked up a lot of dust and debris, and she wasn't sure if the blast killed the Ranger. From one of the bullets that whizzed pasted her head, she guessed no. Exiting out of VATS Archangel took cover and she reached into a pocket. She always carried some chems with her, purely for combat purposes. She had some Cat Eye that would help immensely for the next new moments. Just than she saw another figure moving through the darkness behind her, and she just about fired when she noticed ti was the deathclaw. If it weren't the the headgear on him and his somewhat tattered vest, Archangel would have thought she had run aground with a case of horrible luck. She just about called out to him when the entirely tunnel shook from a massive explosion. "What the hell!?" This was the work of something much bigger than just a landmine. Turning towards the Deathclaw, Archangel shouted at him over the sound of the explosions. "Leinhart, what the hell is going on up there? The Enclave aren't trying to bomb the NCR out of the place with us in it are they!?"
